Conner, as he is known to us, has been well handled since birth and professionally produced by an experienced dressage and event rider. He is very easy to do on the ground etc and has no vices. He is up and running and is at a point where he is ready to find his long-term home and rider and start competing in some low-level dressage competitions. He jumps small fences but has not done much jumping (has jumped bigger on lunge), hacks out around the village in company and schools regularly over poles etc.
He has been out to several different venues training, loads on a lorry or trailer, and has lived at both Lynwood yards so ‘has lived away from home.’ He hacks out around the farm at one yard and the village at the other, proving to be unphased by the traffic etc. He is a really lovely, sweet natured horse to have around on the yard.
Conner is a really genuine young horse that is being sold as a green young competition horse that can be slightly sensitive at times, so will need an experienced rider to continue his education and produce him further both on the flat and with the jumping. He is very ridable and not so sensitive that you can’t use your leg and send him forward. Currently being ridden mainly in a dressage saddle with rounded spurs.
This young sports horse is an athletic type with good conformation and a very good hind leg. He will undoubtedly excel as a pure dressage horse but will also excel as a show jumper given the right education and time. His Sire has won and been placed several times jumping 1.30m classes. We will only sell this horse to a rider that has the experience and knowledge in producing young competition horses as we do not want him to be wasted.
Physio, teeth, farrier and vacs all up to date. Good with the farrier, to catch, vaccinate, load etc. Currently shod in front.
We will consider some negotiation to the right home as home very important to us.
Lack of time and land being quarried at the stud forces sad sale of this very smart home bred young horse that no doubt has a big career ahead of him.
