Chassis

This brand new conversion currently being completed in our Guildford workshop is built on an automatic 2012 Iveco 75e16 chassis.  The chassis is supplied fully serviced and checked by us, having had any tyres or brakes that need replacing replaced.  It comes with a living and engine battery isolation switch and the cab has electric windows, cruise control, CD player, 3 seats and a camera to view horses and aid reversing.  There is a large cut through to the living and a full tilt cab.  Supplied with two sets of keys and comes with a 3 month mechanical warranty.  Painted in metallic dark grey with the option to pick a different colour at time of advert.

Living

The living is smart with leatherette walls and seating.  An L shaped bench seat pulls out to a bed with an additional fold down bunk to provide sleeping for 3 in total.  Other extras include; leisure system, table, 240 volt plug in, hob and sink, plug in cool box.

Horse Area

The horse area is large and airy with many windows for ventilation.  It is partitioned for 2-3 with fully galvanised, adjustable, padded partitions.  The floor is aluminium plank, the rear ramp is easy to use, horses travel herringbone and there are rug racks mounted on the horse area walls. One partition is solid to the floor and the other is half height with a rubber flap at the bottom.  This allows you to create 3 stalls, or 2 stalls plus a storage area. 

Storage

Walk in locker which will have a toilet and hanging space.

1996 TROPHY TWIN – 6.5 TONNE LONG WHEEL BASE

Chassis 

This long wheel base Trophy Twin was coachbuilt by Peper Harow Horse Boxes.  It is built on a 1996 N reg Renault B120 chassis and the odometer reads 130,666 miles.  There are 3 seats in the cab with a large cut through to the living area.  There is a spare wheel mounted under the chassis, a rear tow bar and a battery isolation switch is fitted to help maintain batter life.  It comes with an MOT until March 2020 and good service history.  The cambelt is due to be changed in 18 months, this will be done now if purchased at the asking price of £8,995. 

Living 

Accessed through the cab cut through or via a groom’s door with viewing window from the horse area, the living are has two medium windows for light and ventilation.  The wooden kitchen cabinets house a sink with running water, a gas hob mounted in the worktop and an under the counter grill.  A portable toilet is kept in one of the cupboards and can be used in the living area easily thanks to the blind covering the cab cut through which when pulled down, offers privacy.  A bench seat and table provide space for sitting, eating and relaxing.  Sleeping for 1 – 2 people is provided on the luton above the cab.  

Horse Area

The large horse area is accessed via a groom’s door with roll out steps.  This brings you into the horse head area in front of the breast bar.  There are two main windows, 4 vent windows as well as four internal and four external tie rings.  Horses are loaded via a side ramp with carpet covering and aluminium runners.  The horse area floor is constructed from aluminium.  The padded central partition is full size to the floor, made with aluminium and GRP and fully adjustable and removable to create two stalls for forward facing travel.  The GRP loading doors are also padded and the deep breast bar is removable.  There is also a loading light.    

Storage

One externally accessed and lockable tack locker, situated across the rear of the vehicle with two saddle racks, two bridle racks and two coat hooks and shelving for rugs. Kitchen cupboards under hob / sink in living area. Full height wardrobe with hanging rail in living area. Additional storage under the bench seat.

Chassis 

This 7.5 Tonne horse box sits on a 1998 R reg DAF 45/150.  It has a tilt cab for easy engine access and will come with a new MOT.  It has completed 194,000 miles, has 3 seats, air brakes, a battery isolation switch to prevent battery drain and a player.  A two camera CCTV system gives you a view of the horse area and is used as a reversing camera. A cut through from the cab takes you directly into the living area.  

Living Area

The generous size living area is accessed via the cab cut through, or from the groom’s door.  It contains a long bench seat, table and seating.  Sleeping is available for two people on the converted seat and fold down bed.  There is two large windows for light and ventilation, both with blinds.  The kitchen area has wooden cupboards and contains running hot and cold water to the sink, a full sized oven with a grill and a hob.  In a separate wet room there is a toilet, shower and basin, with a vent window.  The living area features downlights and a mirror.  There is also a leisure battery system and a 240v plug in to power the appliances and water heater.  A door leads from the living area into the horse area. 

Storage 

Good size tack locker accessed externally and protruding into the living area contains 2 saddle racks and 2 bridle racks.   An external skirt locker provides additional storage.  There are a further 5 cupboards in the living area, under the counter or mounted on the walls.  There is also under bench storage in the living.  Rug racks in the horse area. 

Horse Area

The horse area has 3 medium windows and 2 vent windows, along with a number of tie rings.  It is accessed via a ramp at the rear of the vehicle.  There are two partitions to allow you to stall 3 horses travelling herringbone.  Both partitions are full height with solid headboards and are adjustable and removable.  The floor is wood with rubber mat covering, in good condition having been inspected by us.

Chassis 

This 3.5 Tonne horse box has been coachbuilt by Unique horse boxes is mounted on a 2006 Citroen Relay chassis.  The cab has three leatherette seats all with 3 point belts, electric windows, electric mirrors and there is a rear mounted spare wheel.  The vehicle has completed 141,000 miles and it has an MOT until April 2020.  Three is also a horse view camera mounted in the cab. 

Grooms Compartment

The groom’s compartment is accessed from the rear of the vehicle through an oversized door with a pull out step.  The area contains a bench seat, small table and a tack storage area with 2 saddle racks, 2 bridle racks and a handing rail.  The small luton above the cab accessed through the horse’s area could be used for sleeping if desired, though is designed for storage.  A small jockey door takes you from the groom’s compartment into the horse area. 

Horse Area

The side ramp and barn style upper doors lead into the horse area where there is a central partition that is adjustable and removable.  The half height partition has a lower rubber flap and creates two stalls for 1 large horse / 2 ponies (weight and size dependent).  Horses travel facing rearwards with a solid breast bar containing a jockey access door.  There is a roof vent, windows for light and ventilation and tie rings.

Living Area

The Trophy Twin comes with a fully integral day living comprising of seating area, high gloss kitchen units and granite effect worktop as standard with a glass top gas hob and sink.  Plenty of light and ventilation is provided by the two large windows and the large cut through to the cab provides additional light and viewing.  A good size luton above the cab can be used for storage or sleeping .  Any additional living spec can be added. 

Storage

An externally accessed tack locker is included in the build cost.  This is situated under the horse’s head on the short wheel base Trophy Twin, or across the rear of the vehicle on the long wheel base version.  The tack locker is fitted with two saddle racks and two bridle racks.  Inside the living there is also a full height wardrobe for all the rider’s essentials and additional storage can always be added subject to weight restrictions.   

Horse Area

Stalled for two horses to travel in a forward facing position, the Trophy Twin’s horse area has an aluminium floor with a rubber overlay to provide safe and long-term usage.  Partitions are solid to the floor with soft padding as standard.  The ramp is wide, lightweight and undersprung, making it easy for one person to open and close.  Plenty of light and ventilation is provided in the horse area with 7 opening  windows.  The door from the living into the horse area allows you to see and hear your horse during transit.

Your Own Bespoke Horse Box

The design and finish of the living and horse area is up to you.  We will help you to design your ultimate horse box taking all of your needs into account. The layout can be arranged to suit the way in which you will use it with as much or as little equipment as you need, all tailored to fall within a budget acceptable to you.  We will make sure that even with all the extras, the anticipated payload operates within the legal limit. Before delivery, we will supply you with a weighbridge certificate showing your unladen weight.  Part of the fun in building your own box is the paint colour choice and design of the graphics, it can be very simple or wild and exciting, it’s up to you.  You could also choose to have metallic paint or various combinations of colours as well as extra graphics. 

Living Area

You might choose to have living for day trips which could include a seating area, fully equipped kitchen with a sink, hob, fridge freezer and cooker.  For your entertainment you could include a TV with a built in DVD player and freeview and you could add extra speakers to the ceiling.  For your convenience you might want to include a flushing toilet and sink and to help keep you comfortable you could include heating or air conditioning.  To help make staying away more comfortable, you might choose to include a shower, towel rail and sleeping in a luton, bench seat or pull down bed.  The choice of finishes on the walls, floors, cushions, blinds and the number / location of windows are all up to you.  You can also choose to add sockets and USBs and would need power for this and any appliances via a generator or via leisure batteries using a split charge system to prevent drain on the engine batteries.     

Storage

You can fit internal and external storage, dependent on how many horses and people you plan to travel.  These could be in any location to suit you, such as in the skirts, the living area, the horse area or by raising the living floor, you could include underfloor storage.  Any bench seats could be used for storage and you could include saddle racks, bridle racks and rug racks for ease.  Wall mounted kitchen storage or a wardrobe would also provide space for those additional items.  Space for gas bottles, water cylinders and a horse shower might also be considered. 

Horse Area

Dependent on your choice of chassis and the split of space between the living and horse area, you could create stalls for 2 – 5 horses with a rear or side load ramp.  For safety reasons, as standard the horse area will be built using galvanised chassis rails and aluminium plank flooring with 19mm rubber overlay.  Heavy duty stockboard will be fitted up to 4’ to protect the walls and cushion any internal blows.  You might choose for your partitions to be solid to the floor, have rubber flaps or be with or without headboards and breastbars; partitions will be multiposition as well as easy to move and release.  Any breast bars you include will have a safety release mechanism.  You might also choose to include a horse wash down, additional tie rings and loading / night time lights.  The number and position of the windows, groom’s door to the living and outside and the roof vents are up to you.

This horse box is a converted 1997, R reg Iveco 75e15.  The non-tilt cab has 3 seats, air brakes, and a cut through to the living area. It has completed 171,000 miles, has various service history with it and comes with a new MOT. 

Living Area

The large living area is accessed via the cab cut through, or from the groom’s door with roll out steps from the outside.  It contains a wrap around bench seat around a large table.  The living area sleeps four –two on the luton above the cab and two on the converted bench seat.  There are three large windows for light and ventilation, all with curtains.  The kitchen area has plenty of wooden cupboards and drawers with a 4 ring glass top hob and sink with running water.  Leisure batteries with a split charge system and 240v plug in power the fridge, water heater, heating (to be checked if this is working) and microwave.  There is a separate room with a shower, toilet and basin unit.  A solid wooden door leads into the horse area.
