The layout can be arranged to suit the way in which you will use it with as much or as little equipment as you need, all tailored to fall within a budget acceptable to you.  We will make sure that even with all the extras, the anticipated payload operates within the legal limit. Before delivery, we will supply you with a weighbridge certificate showing your unladen weight.  Part of the fun in building your own box is the paint colour choice and design of the graphics, it can be very simple or wild and exciting, it’s up to you.  You could also choose to have metallic paint or various combinations of colours as well as extra graphics.

Living Area

You might choose to have living for day trips which could include a seating area, fully equipped kitchen with a sink, hob, fridge freezer and cooker.  For your entertainment you could include a TV with a built in DVD player and freeview and you could add extra speakers to the ceiling.  For your convenience you might want to include a flushing toilet and sink and to help keep you comfortable you could include heating or air conditioning.  To help make staying away more comfortable, you might choose to include a shower, towel rail and sleeping in a luton, bench seat or pull down bed.  The choice of finishes on the walls, floors, cushions, blinds and the number / location of windows are all up to you.  You can also choose to add sockets and USBs and would need power for this and any appliances via a generator or via leisure batteries using a split charge system to prevent drain on the engine batteries.

Storage

You can fit internal and external storage, dependent on how many horses and people you plan to travel.  These could be in any location to suit you, such as in the skirts, the living area, the horse area or by raising the living floor, you could include underfloor storage.  Any bench seats could be used for storage and you could include saddle racks, bridle racks and rug racks for ease.  Wall mounted kitchen storage or a wardrobe would also provide space for those additional items.  Space for gas bottles, water cylinders and a horse shower might also be considered.

Horse Area

Dependent on your choice of chassis and the split of space between the living and horse area, you could create stalls for 2 – 5 horses with a rear or side load ramp.  For safety reasons, as standard the horse area will be built using galvanised chassis rails and aluminium plank flooring with 19mm rubber overlay.  Heavy duty stockboard will be fitted up to 4’ to protect the walls and cushion any internal blows.  You might choose for your partitions to be solid to the floor, have rubber flaps or be with or without headboards and breastbars; partitions will be multiposition as well as easy to move and release.  Any breast bars you include will have a safety release mechanism.  You might also choose to include a horse wash down, additional tie rings and loading / night time lights.  The number and position of the windows, groom’s door to the living and outside and the roof vents are up to you.
