Jimmy – a kid’s dream pony for ponyclub, eventing, riding lessons, and having fun

Jimmy is a 14.2h 4yo Irish sport pony with adorable piebald colouring and an intelligent, brave character

Jimmy is already proving to be a legendary children’s pony, as he is honest and calm in new places, brave to jump, and will always jump no matter the stride or rider errors

He enjoys cross country jumping, and has no problem with coffins, water, and drains. He is happy to lead or follow with other horses, and behaves perfectly on his own

Jimmy is simple for a child to ride on the flat, he has three rhythmic, easy paces and always goes in a snaffle. He is unbothered by rider mistakes and keeps himself going without too much leg

He does not get hot or strong before a fence, but has plenty of scope to carry a child up the levels of jumping

He is very relaxed around machinery and traffic and hacks calmly alone or with others

He is well mannered and kind on the ground, easy to catch, load, shoe, tie, clip, etc. He has no vices, lumps, or bumps

Jimmy is open to any vetting

Destiny - A straightforward, experienced Allrounder with a patient and forgiving disposition to suit an amateur or mother/daughter share

Destiny is a 15.1h, 4yo Class 1 purebred Connemara mare with lots of experience in a variety of disciplines

She has been competing in unregistered showjumping classes, and working hunter classes and proven herself very honest and calm on course in new places.

She has been hunting with the Galway blazers, done beach rides and road hacks with groups and stays cool in hectic environments.

She has been cross country schooling several times and remains unflappable to natural obstacles and water

She is not mareish in any way and gets along with other horses well

She always goes in a snaffle, will jump from any distance given, and does not get hot, sharp or strong before or after a fence. She is extremely uncomplicated to ride, and steady to ride around a course at a show. For this reason, we feel Destiny would best suit a mother/daughter share, or an adult amateur looking for a trustworthy riding club partner

Destiny is easy to catch, tie, shoe, load, plait, and hack out alone or in groups. She has no vices, lumps or bumps.

She is open to any vetting

Rosie: sensible, gentle, experienced ponyclub dream

Ref #: 411213
  • Competitive, quiet, very brave
£8,500
  • Connemara
  • Dapple grey
  • Mare
  • 4 years
  • 14.1 hands
  • Competitive, quiet, very brave

Rosie is a 14.1h, 4yo dapple grey purebred Connemara mare with a forgiving, quiet temperament

She has been comfortably competing in 80cm classes at showjumping competitions and is consistently honest and unphased by new places, filler, combinations, etc. She is extremely forgiving to a bad distance and will always jump; she is even clever enough to sort a bad distance for herself and her rider!

She knows her leads and will make auto changes during a course. She never gets hot, strong or sharp. She has a very soft mouth, and only goes in a loose ring snaffle

She is very easy to ride in the contact, although she is quiet, not spooky or fast, and does not require it to focus.

Rosie enjoys cross country schooling and is equally brave to natural obstacles and water. She does not get excited or fresh outside of the arena.

Rosie is excellent around machinery, traffic and cows, and has experience hacking alone and in groups.

She is not lazy or particularly forward going, she is very easy to keep at one rhythm as she is hard-working, and happy to stay right under the leg.

Due to her intelligent, quiet nature and rideability, we think Rosie will be an ideal partner for ponyclub, or for a child to compete and grow with. She is consistent and calm in her work ethic, and would best suit a child who is comfortably cantering small x-rails to grow with, with the help of an instructor.

She is gentle and sweet for anyone to handle; quiet to shoe, load, tie, catch, bathe, etc. She has no vices, no mareish behaviour, and no lumps or bumps of any kind.

Rosie is open to any vetting
