Ginger is a lovely quality Irish mare with a fantastic attitude and a wealth of experience. She is a forward-thinking, enjoyable ride who would suit a confident rider looking for a talented horse to enjoy across a variety of disciplines.

On the flat, Ginger works beautifully with three fluent paces and seamless transitions. She is a naturally forward ride and would certainly produce some lovely dressage tests in the right hands. She is not suitable for a novice rider, but for someone who enjoys a horse that goes willingly off the leg, she is great fun to ride.

Ginger is a brave, straightforward and careful showjumper. She has previously jumped up to 1.10m with her former owner and has all the attributes to continue progressing. She is honest to a fence and gives her rider plenty of confidence.

Her previous owner described her as the ultimate all-rounder, having turned her hoof to just about everything, including hunting, showjumping and general riding club activities. Unfortunately, she has proved a little too forward-going for a nervous rider, so we are now looking for a knowledgeable home where she can thrive with someone who enjoys a horse with a bit of engine. She is not sharp, silly or whizzy, she simply likes to get on with the job and can cover the ground well.

Ginger does make a respiratory noise when working. She has been fully scoped by our vet, with no clinical abnormalities found, and it is believed the noise is due to a slightly asymmetrical nostril. This does not affect her performance in any way and is reflected in her price. Veterinary report available to view.

Rose is a stunning 13.2hh chestnut Riding Pony mare with exceptional breeding, by Stanley Grange Regal Empire out of Hammonds Showtime. She has all the quality, movement and presence to make a top-class 138cm show pony in the right hands.

Over the past 12 months, Rose has been with her current owners, where she has continued her education and has been regularly schooled by a young rider. She has gained valuable experience, improved in her flatwork and has matured into a genuine pony with a bright future ahead of her.

Rose works nicely on the flat with three balanced paces and is a leg-on ride. She isn’t sharp or silly under saddle, but as a young pony she is still green and needs someone confident to continue her education and production. She has all the right ingredients but is not yet the finished article.

She hacks confidently both alone and in company and takes everything in her stride. She has recently started jumping and is proving willing and straightforward, although she is still learning.

Has done some training with mounted games equipment also.

Rose has previously enjoyed success in the show ring, both in-hand and under saddle, receiving lovely comments from judges. Her outstanding breeding, movement and presence make her an exciting prospect for someone wanting to produce a quality 138cm show pony.

On the ground, Rose is a sweet mare who enjoys fuss and attention, but she can occasionally be a little opinionated, as many quality young mares can be. She therefore requires a knowledgeable, experienced handler who understands young ponies and will continue to educate her consistently.

She is looking for an experienced showing home or knowledgeable producer who can continue her education and unlock her full potential. We have no doubt that, with time and the right partnership, she has all the attributes to become a very smart show pony.

Bird is a genuine, kind and beautifully mannered Irish Draught who has been there, done it she is lovely to be around easy to do very gentle and calm.

Having spent her life in a loving family home, she has enjoyed a varied lifestyle and has proven herself to be a truly versatile all-rounder.

🦊 Hunting
Big Bird has hunted with the Pytchley and is a sensible, reliable partner who enjoys her job. I’ve had lots of local feedback she is a lovely hunter.

🏆 Dressage
She has qualified for the Cavello Associated Championships for two consecutive years and consistently produces scores of 65% and above. With continued schooling she has all the ability to comfortably achieve scores into the 70% range and moving up to Novice.

✨ Showing
Big Bird has been successfully shown at Blakesley and Equifest, as well as numerous local shows where she is regularly placed at the top of the line.

She is a lovely, straightforward riding club horse who genuinely enjoys a varied life. She is a leg-on ride, works happily in a snaffle, and is the sort that gives her rider confidence with her honest, willing attitude. She is reliable, uncomplicated and a pleasure to have around both on the ground and under saddle.

This is a very sad sale through absolutely no fault of her own, and finding her the right long-term home is of the utmost importance.

As with many grey horses, Big Bird has some melanomas, which are reflected in her sensible asking price and have not stopped her enjoying an active, successful life.
