Chassis 

This very smart 3.5 Tonne horse box was only coachbuilt a few years ago and is mounted on a 2010 new shape Renault Master chassis that has completed 131,863 miles.  The cab is high spec with a built in CD player / hands free / radio, electric windows and electric mirrors.  There are three seats in the cab each with 3-point belts and a 2 camera CCTV system with a horse view camera and a reversing camera.  There is also a separate sat nav system in the cab and some service history is provided.  A spare wheel is also included and there is a small viewing window between the cab and horse area to keep an eye on your horses during travel. 

Grooms Compartment and Storage

The groom’s compartment is accessed from the rear of the vehicle and contains a large bench seat to the right with seated and rear leatherette cushions and the tack locker protrudes into the left, with good space in the middle for getting changed.  There is a good size, externally accessed and lockable tack locker situated to the rear of the vehicle under the horse’s head. The luton is accessed through a door in the horse area for extra storage. 

Horse Area

An easy to use side ramp with a top opening door leads into the horse area.  A removable, solid partition with a rubber flap at the bottom creates two stalls.  Horses travel facing rearwards with a solid breast bar containing a jockey access door.  There is a good sized roof vent and two medium and one vent window for light and ventilation. The floor is composite so won’t rot, with rubber mat coverings and there is a loading light as well as two tie rings.

Chassis 

This brand new conversion currently being completed in our Guildford workshop uses an automatic 2013 Iveco 75e16 chassis with 140,000 miles on the clock.  There are 3 seats in the cab with a large cut through to the living area.  A twin camera CCTV with a camera in the horse area and a reversing camera is also included. As this horse box is currently in the build phase you can still add some options you might require, see https://phhb.co.uk/extras for the possibilities.  You can also choose the external finish of this horse box - one solid non-metallic colour and your choice of graphics are included in the price. It will be supplied with a new MOT and weighbridge certificate confirming the payload.  

Living 

Accessed through the large cab cut through or via a groom’s door from the outside with steps leading up to a raised floor area, this living has two large windows to provide light and create the feeling of space as well as smart leatherette walls and smart downlights.  The kitchen cabinets are modern grey high gloss with a glass topped sink with running water and a 3 ring gas hob mounted in the worktop, powered by separate leisure batteries.  A bench seat provides plenty of space for sitting and relaxing and will also convert to a pull out bd to sleep 2 people. 

Horse Area

The large horse area has 3 large windows and 3 vent windows as well as a night light.  It is accessed via a rear ramp with carpet covering and aluminium.  The floor is constructed from aluminium planks with a heavy duty rubber mat overlay.  One partition is solid to the floor and the other is half height with a rubber flap at the bottom.  This allows you to create 3 stalls, or 2 stalls plus a storage area.  Both partitions will be padded, are fully adjustable and removable and have headboards.  The GRP loading doors will also be padded and there is a horse shower. 

Storage

Storage across the whole underside of the living floor is accessed via external, lockable tack lockers on each side of the horse box and one side has a larger opening to provide a large tack locker. Large internal walk in storage, can be either additional tack storage or walk in wardrobe.  Would also be a great space for a portable toilet if needed.  Grey gloss high level kitchen cupboards and under bench storage is also provided in the living area.

Chassis 

This horse box has been coachbuilt on a 1996 Iveco 75e15.  The non-tilt cab has 3 seats, air brakes, a battery isolation switch to prevent battery drain and a large cut through to the living area. It has completed 184,000 miles and comes with a new MOT. 

Living Area

The good size living area is accessed via the cab cut through, or from the groom’s door with roll out steps from the outside.  It contains a long bench seat and has a good size luton to sleep 2.  There is one large and one small window for light and ventilation.  The kitchen area has plenty of wooden cupboards with a 2 burner glass top hob and sink with running water.  A fridge with freezer compartment is also set under the worktop and there is a separate room containing a flushable toilet.  A solid door slides open to access the horse area. 

Storage 

Good size tack locker accessed from outside and protruding into the horse area under the horses heads contains 4 saddle racks and 3 bridle racks.  This also stores the gas cylinder. 

A small wardrobe with hanging rail is accessed from the living.

Chassis 

Built on a 1998 S reg Iveco  59/12 chassis, this easy to drive horse box has 3 seats in the cab and a large cut through to the living.  It is tested until November, 2019, has a battery isolation switch and comes with some good service history.  It has completed only 117,000 miles and has easy access to the engine bay.  There is a battery isolation switch to prevent battery drain and a radio / CD player. There is also a spare wheel located behind the cab seats and the cam belt has recently been replaced. 

Living Area

The good size living area sits directly behind the cab and is accessed either through the large cab cut through, via the side groom’s door with roll out steps or from a door from the horse area.  It has windows on either side of the vehicle for light and ventilation and the curtains on the windows and for the cut through are a burgundy colour to match the box exterior.  There is a long bench seat directly behind the cut through across the width of the vehicle and the overheard luton can be used for storage or sleeping.  The rest of the living is open space and could be used for storage, or sleeping on the floor.  Alternatively, you could add a kitchen unit with sink and hob for approximately £1,500 plus VAT. 

Storage

One large, externally accessed and lockable tack locker situated at the rear of the vehicle is the full width of the box.  This contains two saddle and two bridle racks. 

Additional storage can be found under the wide bench seat.  

Horse Area

A side ramp with rubber mat covering and loading doors leads into the horse area which has an aluminium floor with heavy duty rubber mat covering.  One partition allows you to stall 2 horses (size and weight dependent) that travel facing forwards.  The full height padded partition is adjustable and removable and also has a solid headboard.  The metal pole breast bar is adjustable to three different heights and is fully removable.  There are two large windows for light and ventilation, as well as a loading light.

Living Area

The Trophy Twin comes with a fully integral day living comprising of seating area, high gloss kitchen units and granite effect worktop as standard with a glass top gas hob and sink.  Plenty of light and ventilation is provided by the two large windows and the large cut through to the cab provides additional light and viewing.  A good size luton above the cab can be used for storage or sleeping .  Any additional living spec can be added. 

Storage

An externally accessed tack locker is included in the build cost.  This is situated under the horse’s head on the short wheel base Trophy Twin, or across the rear of the vehicle on the long wheel base version.  The tack locker is fitted with two saddle racks and two bridle racks.  Inside the living there is also a full height wardrobe for all the rider’s essentials and additional storage can always be added subject to weight restrictions.   

Horse Area

Stalled for two horses to travel in a forward facing position, the Trophy Twin’s horse area has an aluminium floor with a rubber overlay to provide safe and long-term usage.  Partitions are solid to the floor with soft padding as standard.  The ramp is wide, lightweight and undersprung, making it easy for one person to open and close.  Plenty of light and ventilation is provided in the horse area with 7 opening  windows.  The door from the living into the horse area allows you to see and hear your horse during transit.

Your Own Bespoke Horse Box

The design and finish of the living and horse area is up to you.  We will help you to design your ultimate horse box taking all of your needs into account. The layout can be arranged to suit the way in which you will use it with as much or as little equipment as you need, all tailored to fall within a budget acceptable to you.  We will make sure that even with all the extras, the anticipated payload operates within the legal limit. Before delivery, we will supply you with a weighbridge certificate showing your unladen weight.  Part of the fun in building your own box is the paint colour choice and design of the graphics, it can be very simple or wild and exciting, it’s up to you.  You could also choose to have metallic paint or various combinations of colours as well as extra graphics. 

Living Area

You might choose to have living for day trips which could include a seating area, fully equipped kitchen with a sink, hob, fridge freezer and cooker.  For your entertainment you could include a TV with a built in DVD player and freeview and you could add extra speakers to the ceiling.  For your convenience you might want to include a flushing toilet and sink and to help keep you comfortable you could include heating or air conditioning.  To help make staying away more comfortable, you might choose to include a shower, towel rail and sleeping in a luton, bench seat or pull down bed.  The choice of finishes on the walls, floors, cushions, blinds and the number / location of windows are all up to you.  You can also choose to add sockets and USBs and would need power for this and any appliances via a generator or via leisure batteries using a split charge system to prevent drain on the engine batteries.     

Storage

You can fit internal and external storage, dependent on how many horses and people you plan to travel.  These could be in any location to suit you, such as in the skirts, the living area, the horse area or by raising the living floor, you could include underfloor storage.  Any bench seats could be used for storage and you could include saddle racks, bridle racks and rug racks for ease.  Wall mounted kitchen storage or a wardrobe would also provide space for those additional items.  Space for gas bottles, water cylinders and a horse shower might also be considered. 

Horse Area

Dependent on your choice of chassis and the split of space between the living and horse area, you could create stalls for 2 – 5 horses with a rear or side load ramp.  For safety reasons, as standard the horse area will be built using galvanised chassis rails and aluminium plank flooring with 19mm rubber overlay.  Heavy duty stockboard will be fitted up to 4’ to protect the walls and cushion any internal blows.  You might choose for your partitions to be solid to the floor, have rubber flaps or be with or without headboards and breastbars; partitions will be multiposition as well as easy to move and release.  Any breast bars you include will have a safety release mechanism.  You might also choose to include a horse wash down, additional tie rings and loading / night time lights.  The number and position of the windows, groom’s door to the living and outside and the roof vents are up to you.

This brand new coachbuilt short wheel base Trophy Twin is built on a 2013 Iveco 70C17 chassis with only 106,000 miles on the clock.  There are 3 seats in the cab with a cut through to the living area.  A twin camera CCTV with a camera in the horse area and a reversing camera is also included. There is a spare wheel mounted under the chassis, electric windows and a battery isolation switch.  It will be supplied with a new MOT and weighbridge certificate confirming the payload.  You can choose the external finish of this horse box - one solid non-metallic colour and your choice of two graphics are included in the price.

Living 

Accessed through the cab cut through or via a groom’s door from the outside, this living has two windows to provide light and create the feeling of space as well as smart leatherette walls and LED lights.  The kitchen cabinets are a modern grey high gloss with a glass topped sink with running water and a 3 ring gas hob mounted in the worktop.  An L shaped bench seat provides space for sitting and relaxing and the luton pod has a 4’ bed - enough space to sleep 2 people.  A door with viewing window leads into the horse area.

Horse Area

The large horse area has 1 large window, 4 vent windows and two fully adjustable tie ring racks, providing 4 tie rings.  The horse area is accessed via a side ramp with carpet covering and aluminium runners and it is under sprung and easy to put up and down by one person.  The floor is constructed from aluminium planks with a heavy duty rubber mat overlay.  The padded central partition is full size to the floor, made with aluminium and GRP and fully adjustable and removable to create two stalls for forward facing travel.  The GRP loading doors are also padded and the deep breast bar is removable and padded with an emergency drop feature.  There is also a loading light.

Chassis 

Built on a 2000, X reg DAF 45 150, the non-tilt cab has 3 seats with leatherette covering, air brakes, and comes with some good service history. It has completed 242,000 miles and comes with an MOT until February 2020. 

Living Area

A groom’s door with roll out steps leads into a lobby area which has doors leading to the horse area, living and bathroom. The large living area is also accessed via the cab cut through.  It contains a long wrap around bench seat covered in leatherette and situated around a large table.  The living area sleeps four – five people; 1-2 on the luton above the cab and 2-3 on the bench seats.  There are two large windows and two small windows for light and ventilation, all with curtains.  The kitchen area has a good number of wooden cupboards with a 3 ring glass top hob, a sink with running water and a fire extinguisher.  Leisure batteries with a split charge system and 240v plug in power the fridge with a freezer box, water heater and microwave.  There is a bathroom with a separate shower, toilet and basin unit.  

Storage 

One large externally accessed and lockable tack locker situated under the horses heads contains two bridle and two saddle racks.  A further external tack locker under the horses heads contains shelves. There are also two external skirt lockers. There are a number of wooden cupboards in the living area, as well as a half height wardrobe. A number of coat hooks are also situated around the living area.

The horse area is accessed through a door from the lobby area and has six medium windows and three internal tie rings.  The floor is aluminium.  The horse area is accessed via a ramp at the rear of the vehicle.  There are two partitions to allow you to stall 3 horses travelling herringbone.  Both partitions are half height and padded, with solid headboards and rubber flaps on the underside and front.  Both are adjustable and removable.

Coachbuilt by Peper Harow Horse Boxes on a 1995, M reg Renault B120, this long wheel base Trophy Twin horse box comes with an MOT until December 2019.  There are three seats in the cab, two with 3 point belts, and a large cut through to the living area.  There is a battery isolation switch, under mounted spare wheel and a CD player.  The cam belt was changed in 2015.
