A beautiful, kind and much-loved mare who catches the eye wherever she goes. Poppy has been with us since she was five, so her full history is known.

Poppy has successfully competed at many venues around the country. She is a winning machine up to 1m–1.05m, and has competed up to 1.10m. She is forward-thinking, careful and competitive over a fence, loves a jump-off and is not at all spooky.

She works nicely on the flat and has benefitted from regular dressage lessons, developing a lovely way of going. She has a fantastic work ethic and is safe and grounded without being sharp or silly.

Full veterinary disclosure

Poppy recently failed a pre-purchase vetting, where she showed mild lameness when circled on a hard surface. Further investigation identified arthritic changes in her hocks and inflammation in her front feet.

She has since received veterinary treatment and her minor lameness has improved considerably. She remains in full work, although she may still show approximately 1/10 lameness when circled on a hard surface. She is also carrying a little more weight than ideal.

Her veterinary findings, treatment and progress will be discussed openly with serious prospective buyers.

This is a very difficult and genuine sale. Her price is substantially below what a mare of her quality, temperament and competition record would otherwise command, reflecting the findings from her recent vetting and the management she may require.

Poppy may suit an experienced, knowledgeable home looking for a safe and competitive horse and prepared to manage her appropriately.

This mare has impeccable breeding with plenty of potential - only made a small appearance with BS up to 1.05cm with success round 90/1m, never falling short of a quick round, however due to lack of rider confidence/error Coco's record doesn't reflect her full potential. "Bestie" is a beautiful big horse with 3 lovely paces. He is a real gentle giant, soft soul. he is easy to take out and about, travels well and is a delight to deal with when away from home. I often have to take him on my own, so he is used to a one man band! he has basically been and done most things, lots of dressage, fun rides, beach rides and have hired Arena XC on him and had some fun playing around with him over some of those jumps!

Lives in or out, with mares or geldings. he really isn't your typical stamp of an exracehorse - you can walk into an open field on him and he will just put his head down and eat the grass! but at the same time, loves going for a good canter! never strong or silly, will sit at the back or lead.

he has been out there and seen the world, he isn't a project, he's a horse someone can jump straight on and go and enjoy themselves on. he is fit and ready and I would love to see him go to a home that will enjoy doing a little of everything on him and just enjoy him as a the wonderful horse he is.

Candy is a very smart young horse, with all the scope and ability to go on to be a serious competition horse for someone. She has 3 very good paces, and is showing a very scopey jump. She is schooling well on the flat in all 3 paces, and I’d expect her to go out and pull off a fairly smart test.

We have taken her out to a couple of arena hires to jump a course of show jumps where she is taking it all in her stride. Easily jumping around a course of fences 90/1m making them look tiny! We are planning to take her out xc schooling next week, with the view to eventing her later in the season.

Candy has a sweet temperament, she’s very friendly and easy to catch, good to load/travel. She does get a little bit mare-ish at times, mainly on a box with other horses, and in a stable next to another horse, but we have found ways to manage with this. Candy hacks well, and is good in traffic, but can be a bit spooky.

Candy is an out and out competition horse, and needs to go to an experienced rider to bring out the best in her. She is quite green for her age, but we will continue her education until we find her the right home and we expect to have her out competing successfully by the end of the season.
