This is a very sad sale as I’ve owned Darcy since she was a 3-year-old. Due to a change in circumstances, I’m now looking for a kind, permanent home for her where she will be well cared for and enjoyed.

Darcy works nicely on the flat and is schooled up to Novice level. She is very eye catching and would also make a lovely riding horse. She’s happiest with a varied routine — schooling once or twice a week combined with hacking, pole work, fun rides, or trips to the beach or gallops. She is great to take to camp and a willing allrounder. Been on fun rides with cross country fences. Forward into fences although green in this area.

Darcy does not need to be ridden every day, but she isn’t suitable for a novice. Out hacking she is forward-going and needs a confident, reassuring rider. She’s been out of consistent work since July (new yard has no arena), but she is straightforward to bring back into work.

I’m looking for someone who will give her time, attention, and a long-term home. She has a lot to offer the right person as a genuine, kind mare to enjoy.

Sue is a beautiful 16.3hh chestnut mare looking for a loving home. Very sad sale due to work commitments and travelling so home is a top priority!

Sue is a very easy going mare, an uncomplicated ride and never gets strong. She has her own funny little ways of doing things (she is a mare after all) but once you get to know her is the easiest horse you could hope to ride

Been on numerous fun rides and hunting, happy to sit at the front or back and always in a simple rubber snaffle, never gets strong and just sits in her quiet, even canter!

Schools beautifully in all 3 paces and is the queen of grid work

Hasn’t done much showjumping other than the odd unaffiliated, some classes in Ireland as a youngster and a BSJA on a ticket

Hacks alone and in company however can need a lead off the yard if she gets attached to another horse (will go from there alone)

Has had a couple of lovely foals before being brought back into work and makes a great mother

Never sick or sorry, she has a scar just above one hoof from a cut as a young horse however this has never affected her!

Great to lead in and out, our children lead him in.

3 lovely paces in the school, works in a lovely outline. He will excel in any sphere, dressage, show jumping, cross country, hunting, eventing or just a top end leisure horse/ all rounder.

We have jumped show jumps and cross country jumps and he shows heaps of scope, very brave and genuine and he enjoys it.

He has passed all types of traffic here and been brilliant, tractors, lorries, buses, trailers etc. Happy hacking alone and in company. Open spaces are no bother at all. We also school in open fields as well as the arena.

She is an absolute darling – kind, safe and a joy to be around on the ground, the kind of pony you can really trust your child with to develop a real bond. She loves a hug! She’s popular on the yard and a friend to people, mares, geldings, cats and dogs. We have had her for over 3 years and all previous homes are known.

She sometimes get sweet itch in her mane but this is managed with Insol, cream and rugs.
