Our beautiful 13-year-old Lusitano gelding, standing at 15.2hh, is looking for a very special new home. Imported from Spain as a 4-year-old, he has been with us ever since and is a huge part of our family.

He is a real character who absolutely loves attention, people, children and farm life. He has been incredibly well-loved and is the sort of horse who will leave a big hole in your heart.

🌿 Hacking: This is where he really shines! He loves to hack and prefers to be up front. He will happily ride and lead, something I have regularly done with my little girl.

🏇 Schooling & and jumping: He has been out show-jumping schooling and loves to jump. He has lovely movement and would also have the potential to produce a beautiful dressage test.

Has just been enjoyed by us locally so we haven't tapped into any potential but we know its there.

He is 90% a quiet, enjoyable ride, but does have that 10% tendency to become quite hot-headed and on his toes although he is never dangerous, but this is something that comes with his breeding and means he would not suit a novice rider. He needs an experienced, confident rider who understands the breed and can appreciate his character.

He is fantastic in traffic and is good around farm machinery and general farm life. He is also:

15'2 Irish Cob, Chestnut Gelding. He has a varied CV making him a good allrounder, ideal Riding Club Horse or Mother / Daughter share.

Owned for last 3 years. He Show jumps confidently around a 70/80cm course and is forgiving of a poor stride, could jump bigger - it's me that's comfortable at this height.

Well schooled and competes Unaff Dressage with wins at Cricklands Stay Away Shows and 2nd at Hartpury International Arena & wins at other local Shows, he takes it all in his stride. He has an active trot, super canter with established walk to canter, turn on the forehand, leg yields, shoulder in and quarters in on both reins.

He has also Shown successfully including Working Hunter. He has Hunted extensively with previous owner, with her friends also borrowing him to Hunt. He enjoys being at the front and isn't a plod at the back. He can be steady in a small slow group hacking and will be more forward and quicker in a busier, faster group, XC and Hunting. He can get excited Hunting and XC so wouldn't be suitable for a novice.

Good to load on trailer or lorry, you can leave him on the trailer whilst you walk the course or buy a coffee and sandwich. He is great at both day Shows and Stay Away Shows, happy in a Show Stable.

We are in a rural village and he is good with large Farm Machinery although he can spook at a bird. Hacks in company, alone he is a bit more 'looky' but he will hack on his own. He will ride and lead. Very good to clip including his head, good to wash, shoe and Dentist.

We have jumped him a couple of times and he absolutely loved it! He has hacked in company around our gallops and was well behaved when cantering with others.

I am searching for a trustworthy, best friend type to welcome to our kind, knowledgeable, family home. Our horses are treated as part of our family & they receive the absolute best of care. I would be happy to provide references & to keep in touch.

I have ridden for several years & consider myself a knowledgeable & capable rider. However, due to ongoing health issues with my horse, who is now retired, I haven’t ridden as consistently in more recent years & so I am no longer as confident as I once was. Therefore, I am seeking a laid back, best friend type, who does not need riding most days to remain safe & sane (realistically, I will generally ride 3-4 times a week).

We will be enjoying fun hacks from home, attending organised pleasure rides, forest trips, XC schooling & some clinics. I will at times want to hack alone but will also hack alongside my young daughter on her (sometimes quirky!) horse, so it is especially important that I find a level-headed, trustworthy type who I can depend on. Due to us going out in our horsebox regularly, I would like to find a horse who is good to load / travel &, most importantly, who remains calm & polite to handle & ride in different environments.

Our horses are kept at home with us & have all year turnout (stabled overnight during winter). I would love to find a gentle natured, polite character & a true best friend type.

We live in a rural area & although we generally meet very little traffic, when we do, it is often likely to be a tractor/farm vehicle. Therefore, it is hugely important that my new horse is confident around this type of traffic.

Ann has been with me since a 4 year old. When she tried to be a race horse once and was just far too careful and over jumped everything! I then produced her to show and event. And along the way she’s done a bit of everything.

She’s hunted over various country. From the biggest hedges to Exmoor. So bold and loves the job. She can fidget but doesn’t do anything worse.

She’s won at 90 and 100 level eventing. With numerous double clears.

Has done plenty of show jumping- especially this summer due to hard ground. Numerous clear rounds at 1m and 105.

We have worked hard on her dressage and she’s scored some nice marks at BD. It wouldn’t be her favourite phase and she needs riding sympathetically but she is very capable. She has lateral work established.

She’s a nicely put together mare who has won several times at county level ROR. Mainly in challenge class as that’s what I have preferred doing, but also in the flat class. She’s qualified for Aintree champs 3 times.

As well as competing she will equally happy hack. On her own or in company. Happy to go on a fun ride or to the beach. Not at all bothered about traffic and isn’t spooky. She’s done pony round up on Exmoor and plenty of Inter Hunt relays. She can be bouncy at times and likes to get on with life but she’s safe.

Vice free and very easy to have around.

Loads in any transport and travels like a dream. You can do her totally on your own at an event or hunting etc.

Turns out with mares and geldings.

She will pull a face at other horses/ people at feed times or if she’s trying to sleep!

She’s never ever bitten or kicked anyone- and it’s all mouth but she would rather be left alone than cuddled too much.

Where do I start! I purchased Hercules as a foal from Ireland. As a 3 year old I showed him in hand a a few local venues taking Champion a few times. Feb 2023 he was backed, April 2023 his under saddle competition career started.

Hercules was Hunter Champion as a 4 yr old at Stars which was a great preparation for London getting him used to the busy surrounding's and atmosphere.

Hercules has been to various county shows, taking Champion to qualify for London where he finished 2nd in the Heavyweight Hunter Final.

Weve taken Champion at many shows as he really is a special horse and is extremely impressive so really stands out.

Weve competed British Dressage just to improve his education, taking Full Draught British Dressage Associate Champion at Novice and Elementary 2024.

He has since competed at Medium level BD scoring 69-71%. He has started changes

Hercules is very special to me and im particular as to where he goes.

He is lacking hacking experience as he isnt the best with big tractors or wagons passing closely and im too old to ride on the road!

Hes ridden on quiet roads away from home and has been fine, hes been on numerous fun rides and jumped small logs and x country jumps easily. But ive not jumped him big as its not my thing. Ive taken him to the gallops on a regular basis and he is the type who does not get upset when other horses gallop past him. He really is a pleasure to take out and has a lot to teach any rider in the arena as he is very educated for his type!!

In July 2025 Hercules had a tie back operation which was extremely successful as he no longer makes a noise when ridden and can now win big classes in the show ring.

Hercules has no vices, blemishes, he has clean legs, no lumps or bumps, good feet and a beautiful brain! I'm very particular who buys Hercules as I love this horse.

He has 3 lovely paces and a very sweet and genuine jump. Has been to pc rallies, show jumping clear rounds, shows and hound exercise. Showing signs of a great all-rounder/riding club horse.
