Cosmo is a very smart, quality gelding with lovely movement and plenty of presence. He was originally bought to produce as a showjumper, but we feel his happiest future lies in a varied home where life isn’t centred around daily schooling in an arena.

Cosmo absolutely loves a day’s hunting and really comes into his own away from home. He is great to take out, loads and travels well, and generally thrives when his work is interesting and varied. He hacks out and is an alert, forward-thinking ride.

In the school, Cosmo can become arena-sour and will go behind the leg when he feels he is being drilled or asked to do the same thing repeatedly. He is much better with a patient approach, plenty of variety and no pressure. For this reason, we feel a hunting home, or a home wanting a smart horse to hack, hunt and enjoy a varied life with, would suit him far better than a competitive home expecting regular arena work.

On the ground, Cosmo is still learning about personal space. He is currently led to the field in a pressure halter as he can be keen and excited to get turned out. He isn’t a horse that barges past you, but he does need someone confident and consistent with his handling.

He currently wears front shoes and requires Sedalin gel for the farrier, after which he stands quietly to be shod.

Cosmo is a lovely horse with a lot to offer the right person. He would particularly suit someone on a sensible budget who has the time and patience to build a partnership with him, take things slowly and allow him to enjoy his work without pressure.

Gettingawaywithit, aka George, is a beautifully put together 6yo, approx 16.2hh TB gelding.

George only ran twice and proved himself fairly useless as a racehorse so is relatively low mileage. He last ran in Dec 2025, finished racing completely sound and was turned away for holiday.

Since starting his retraining he is proving himself to be an exceptional ROR type, with real quality that you don’t find everyday. His flatwork is beautiful, naturally going in a soft, supple outline, with three very balanced paces and a beautifully collected canter! Similar to many Caretino bred horses, he can become opinionated if over-pressured or ridden inconsistently, so he is not suited to a novice home.
