Greenvale Duke (“Duke”) is a 14-year-old, 18hh Warmblood x Irish Draught bay gelding with a kind and affectionate nature.

He has a strong all-round background, having competed in British Eventing, British Dressage and Showjumping, as well as attending trail hunting where he proved bold and genuine, happily jumping whatever he was asked.

Duke took 2025 off following a hind suspensory injury and has since been carefully rehabilitated from January 2026. He has come back into work very well, building condition and topline easily, and is currently sound and rideable.

He is now back out jumping at a lower level, recently attending an unaffiliated showjumping show where he jumped clear rounds in the 70cm, 80cm and 90cm classes, producing balanced and relaxed rounds.
As his workload has increased, he has shown some signs of discomfort behind, particularly in canter transitions. For this reason, I feel it is in Duke’s best interests to step away from competitive work and find a knowledgeable, sympathetic home where he can be enjoyed at a lower level.

He is currently ridden by my young teenage daughter (5’3”) and is respectful and genuine. He can occasionally show typical “warmblood opinions”, so requires a quiet, sympathetic rider rather than a forceful approach. He is always ridden in a snaffle.
On the ground, Duke is exceptionally kind and easy to have around. He is good with other horses, dogs and livestock, and makes a fantastic field companion. He settles quickly into new environments and has always been well-liked wherever he has been kept.
All our horses live out 24/7, but equally happy in the stables.

Health

A lovely 3 year old dun and white gelding, Sport Horse x Cob, purchased from a reputable breeder in Ireland earlier this year. This eye catching young horse combines presence, quality, and a kind temperament.

He is an exceptionally sweet natured boy with a genuine, easy going attitude. He has been kept both stabled and turned out, taking everything in his stride with no issues in either environment. Currently, he is happily grazing in a mixed herd of youngsters and is well socialised.

He is up to date with the farrier and worming. Good to handle in all ways, he stands quietly to be bathed and is easy to manage on the ground. He is also good to box, as we regularly travel him by horsebox to different fields.

He moves exceptionally well, showing natural balance and athleticism that suggests a very promising future. With the right guidance and education, I have no doubt he will go on to excel in a variety of disciplines.

Tommy has hacked alone and in company, has popped a small rustic and coloured course, has lovely balanced paces. He has the kindest temperament and enjoys his work proving to be very versatile and keen to learn.

He has the most wonderful brain, works beautifully on the flat, and is extremely well balanced. He is already producing lovely changes and is proving to be very trainable and eager to learn.

Tommy has successfully shown in hand proving to be comfortable and settled in show environments.

Tommy is ready for someone to put their own stamp on and he is going to make an incredible horse who we feel would excel in WH classes. Would also do a beautiful dressage test.

Tommy is sensible enough for a variety of riders but due to his age he wouldn’t be suited to a novice or nervous rider.

I am just beginning my search for a trustworthy, best friend type to welcome to our kind, knowledgeable, family home. Our horses are treated as part of our family & they receive the absolute best of care. I would be happy to provide references & to keep in touch.

I have ridden for several years & consider myself a knowledgeable & capable rider. However, due to ongoing health issues with my horse, who is now retired, I haven’t ridden as consistently in more recent years & so I am no longer as confident as I once was. Therefore, I am seeking a laid back, best friend type, who does not need riding most days to remain safe & sane.

We will be enjoying fun hacks from home, attending organised pleasure rides, forest trips, XC schooling & some clinics…. maybe the odd local show in future - but just for fun! I will often be hacking alongside my young daughter on her (sometimes quirky!) horse, so it is especially important that I find a level-headed, trustworthy type who I can depend on. Due to us going out in our horsebox regularly, I would like to find a horse who is good to load / travel &, most importantly, who remains calm & polite to handle & ride in different environments.

Our horses are kept at home with us on a quiet yard. I would love to find a gentle natured, polite character & a true best friend type.

We live in a rural area & although we generally meet very little traffic, when we do, it is often likely to be a tractor/farm vehicle. Therefore, it is hugely important that my new horse is confident around this type of traffic.

* I do appreciate that no horse is ‘perfect’ & that ‘bombproof’ does not exist & I am open to compromise but please do just be honest about any possible known ‘issues’ as I will not buy unseen & would want to have any potential horse vetted *

Great ROR prospect. Really beautiful 15.1hh TB Mare, Due to her age, we haven't done much school work, but has done some pole work. Came in top 3 at her very first show (Dorset County) with encouraging remarks from the judges.
