Since being with us Rodney has QUALIFIED FOR TOYS turned heads showing , winning or being placed in every class entered ( inhand and ridden coloureds and cobs) .

We have been told by a professional show breeder and producer to show him County level as he has the potential to qualify HOYS / Royal International etc, but it's not really our thing .

He has been to Pony Camp and was a star, jumped everything in site ( polework , dressage lesson, jumping and XC lessons) .

He does a lot of hacking with us, through fords, common land and in traffic. He goes in front or behind and everyone who rides him falls in love. Still green / wobbly schooling but has three basic paces and improving every ride, videos on request .

Rodney was purchased on a wim last Autumn as current pony was lame but sadly he is going to be too big for the jockey he was meant for so we have come to the sad reality that he needs his forever person. He has done absolutely nothing wrong. Honest sort that is very hard to find.

Fi is just 5 and has been very lightly ridden over the past year. She was straightforward to back and rides out happily in company. She is turned out 20/7 in a herd of older mares so is low in the hierarchy and as a result finds it challenging going out on her own. We have been long reining her as well as riding her out solo but she still lacks confidence and needs a confident, patient but firm handler/rider to further her education as her current rider is away to university in September. Fi has done some nice work in the school but is still green and works best in short sessions. She responds better to voice than leg, so if you rely on leg aids, she is probably not for you. She can be sensitive to groom, which she allows on polite request and with soft brushes.

Fi is kind hearted but can be defensive if she feels under threat. We would like her to go to a kind and knowledgeable home that will earn her trust by giving her the time, respect and level of communication she needs. She will be a super allrounder or potential show horse in the right hands. At 15.2 she would suit a lightweight rider, 9 stone or less and preferably one who has experience of bringing on youngsters. He would also knock the judges' eyes out as a show horse as his conformation is faultless and his movement is dead straight - also he he is a real show off with tremendous ring presence and 'look at me' expression. Currently doing pure dressage and has qualified for the next Novice Regional Finals in just two outings - winning his classes. He has now achieved qualifying scores at Elementary.

Good on the road with all traffic except the heaviest and fastest lorries - alone or in company. Good to clip and with the farrier. Travels like a saint, stands in the lorry all day and doesn't fret in the lorry even if his mates are taken out. This is a really top class horse and we want the best home for him.
