Hollington Gem (Juliet) is a gorgeous rising 6yo shire mare standing at approx 18hh. Juliet was backed and ridden away last summer and then had the winter off through no fault of her own. Due to her owners health Juliet is now unfortunately looking for a new home.

She has been a dream to bring back into work and has never been silly, spooky or strong (her first day back she was being ridden bareback and bridless trotting round the arena!). Juliet has a very kind temperament and is great with other horses, she makes a perfect happy hacker and/or nannying horse for the babies to see the world. She waits patently for traffic and has been unphased by busses, flappy bags, dogs, motorbikes etc.

Juliet would be plenty safe enough for a novice rider, RDA or a non horses partner to tag along on rides etc. but she must go to a knowledgeable home that understand shire horse care due to her size and breed, and although she loves the odd canter through the fields out hacking, she shouldn’t be doing a massive amount of faster work or work in small arenas etc. in order to preserve her joints long term. Juliet is very respectful of humans on the ground too and is very good to lead & handle. I adore this mare and so does her owner so she will only be going to the best of homes - if I had the funds then I’d be keeping her for myself to enjoy!

Juliet passed a 2 stage vetting just over a year ago and is up to date with vaccinations, dentist, farrier etc.

Sad sale of Castletown Madge (Gin)
This lovely mare deserves a family to love her. Unfortunately due to a ridiculous work schedule and my daughters concentrating on the RoRs I am offering Gin for sale.
She is currently sat in a field doing nothing except getting fat.
Gin has evented, hunted, team chased done beach rides.
I wouldn’t describe myself as the best rider in the world but she has certainly looked after me.
With my daughter she has been to PC champs numerous times SJ.
She has done a pretty good dresssage test as well in the past.
Gin can be covered by a Connie stallion if you wish.
She is currently in the field fat and hairy.
Her only flaws and let’s face it we all have them. She needs sedating for clipping and will only travel in a lorry.

‘Can you see her’ aka Pearl is a beautiful 16.2hh big framed thoroughbred with good bone.

We picked her up in Nov 2024 after a tendon injury ended her promising race career, she was sound and ready to start her dressage career. Despite a promising start BD, 28 points from 5 outings scoring +70%, she picked up a tweak so we gave her the summer off as companion for young stock. Despite 2 attempts to bring her back into work over the winter, she’s not 100% sound and we don’t have the time or space to keep her.

Perhaps with 121 time and effort to rehab she could come good again, or with her breeding and temperament she’d make a lovely broodmare.

Home is far more important than money, although some contribution would be appreciated, she deserves a good life.

16.2 unbacked 5yr old mare, Jameson RS2 x Jazz.
She is truly unspoilt and ready for someone to back and put their stamp on, she has three great paces active hindleg with good cadence and lightness on her feet. She is a real athlete and definitely has a lot of class and will stand out in the dressage arena.

Her half brother Nordic went to the world young horse championships as a 7yr old last year and is doing very well at small tour, he is also a licenced stallion in Holland.
One of her other brothers is the Grand Prix horse Kind Of Magic. Several others have been presented at the KWPN stallion licensing too.

I brought her to use as a broodmare last year but sadly couldn’t get her into foal and discovered over the winter she would rather have her own space than live with other mares so decided she is better suited to a ridden career as she is fine with normal stable life and individual turnout. Although someone with their own setup might decide to try breeding from her.

She has the most lovely temperament she would spend all day having cuddles and being groomed and fussed over. She has been lightly lunged in roller and tack and done a bit of long lining last spring but as I planned to breed and she looked a bit immature physically that is as much as I did with her. I now don’t have the space or the time to take on another ridden horse otherwise she wouldn’t be going anywhere as she really is super special. She will be on the sharper side but I have not seen anything to suggest she will be naughty/nasty just forward.

She has a set of good X-rays from spring last year. Up to date with dentist/farrier/vaccinations ect. She does have a few blemishes which don’t effect her in any way this is reflected in her price otherwise she would be five figures.
If not sold by the end of the month I will try again to breed from her this year.
