Maggie is a big cuddly teddy bear. I have owned her for 3 years. She has nice flat work and is just in a snaffle bit at all times. She has 3 nice paces at walk trot and canter and can do a nice prelim dressage test.

She happily jumps round a small course of fences and is very sane and steady to ride to a jump. She has worked in my riding school since a 4 year old and has been used for novice and beginner riders.

Maggie is a super hack where she is happy to walk by anything and is good in traffic. She is a real sit on and daydream hack. Maggie is really kind in the stable and loves her cuddles.

We purchased Ruby in May of this year but unfortunately she was mis sold to us as suitable for my very novice 14-year-old daughter. Sadly she is too much horse for her. Equestrian friends have said to us she is more of a second horse than a first horse. We are absolutely gutted as we love her to bits as she is such a lovely, genuine horse with a kind heart and lovely nature. She is an absolute pleasure to handle in all ways.

Excellent stable manners. Never kicks or bites. She loves a pamper and a groom. Will happily stand for the farrier, dentist, physio etc. Very easy to catch and load. Just been clipped for the first time with us and stood perfectly without blinking an eye. Hacks alone and in company, will go first or last.

Currently lives in a mixed herd with individual turnout. If she has ever been left in the stable on her own, she is amazing and you never hear a peep from her. Currently shod on fronts only. Had a clean vetting in May when we bought her. Up-to-date with all vaccinations, worming, dentist, farrier, physio, snaffle mouthed, bit, bridle and saddle all recently checked.

She was in her previous home for five years but they outgrew her. Looking for a forever home. Needs an experienced owner as we are so novice and still very much learning the ropes.

Ideally would like her to go somewhere where she will be loved as part of the family and will do a bit of everything, hacking, beach rides, popping over at the odd log/jumps etc. No stable vices.

If you think she might be for you, please get in touch. Can send lots of videos on WhatsApp.
No time wasters please.

Stitch the Cob

Stitch is a striking 15.1hh 16 year old cob who we've owned for 4 years, now looking for a new
home due to time constraints and work commitments.
He has done a bit of everything – PC Rallies/Camp, SJ, XC, AE, dressage, fun rides and jumping clinics.
He is a scopey jumper who has competed with my husband and my thirteen-year-old daughter up to
70 cm, but can go much higher, and has schooled up to 90cm at home and at clinics. Three
good paces on the flat.
Stitch is a great hacker alone or with company, completely trustworthy, unphased in any
circumstances and always willing to please, be it the gallops, fast farm rides with jumps, or a
slow saunter on a hot day. He has a reputation for being a great horse to accompany new
or nervous horses due to his calm demeanour.
He is extremely easy to handle, catch, load, shoe and clip etc. Never sick or sorry always
happy to see you and works hard. Currently lives out and is stabled over the winter, but will fit into any routine.
Fitted saddle and tack available at additional cost.
Many more pictures/videos also available.
Stitch would be ideal for most riders who want to do a bit of everything, or who want to
focus on a particular discipline. Would also be an ideal horse for a teenager wanting to go
out and have fun whilst staying safe, or for anybody wanting to have a go at anything.
Up to date with Vaccines and wormer, clipping and shoes.
Lovely horse with a great personality that will be sorely missed. Sad sale, 5 star home only.

This is a rare opportunity to purchase a stunning young Traditional Cob mare who is destined for big things. She has all the attributes to be a winner whether that’s between the boards or in the show ring. Confirmationally she’s very well put together, beautifully marked and so eye catching. She really is a beautiful girl.

Patchy has the most fantastic paces, they are bold and flashy, making her turn heads! She is very well schooled for her age, proving to be very trainable and an absolute pleasure to ride. She is the one that we all fight over who’s going to ride her every day and is definitely a yard favourite! She has so much potential and would be a fantastic prospect for Petplans.

Patchy has just started jumping and will pop round a small course, totally unfazed by fillers. She has plenty of scope and would be a contender for BD CT Championships!

At home, she is a complete pleasure to have around on the yard. She is vice free, hacks alone and in company, 100% to catch, load, farrier ect.

Grace: A Once-in-a-Lifetime Purebred Connemara Mare

It’s not every day a pony like this comes on the market. Grace is a truly exceptional 4-year-old Class 1 purebred Connemara mare standing at 15hh, with the presence, quality, and temperament to turn heads wherever she goes. With her breathtaking Snow White coat, beautifully refined head, and correct conformation, Grace is as close to a real-life unicorn as you’ll ever find. Her striking looks are matched by a sweet, willing nature that makes her the perfect partner for any rider—novice or experienced alike.

Grace is not just a pretty face. She has already proven her talent and rideability in the ring, winning 1st place in the Ridden 4 & 5-Year-Old Class at the Sceilig Connemara Festival and taking home 3rd place in the same class at Charleville Show. She’s also hunted a full season with the Duhallow Foxhounds, showing her brave, sensible, and trustworthy attitude across all types of terrain. In addition, she has been to several training shows, always behaving impeccably and rising to the occasion with maturity well beyond her years.

She’s as quiet as they come—calm, kind, and always wanting to please. Grace is a dream to handle in every way: easy to catch, box, shoe, and groom. She hacks out confidently both alone and in company, and is excellent in traffic, including around large farm machinery. She is equally happy in a busy yard or a quiet setting and would suit a novice rider, a riding school environment, or even a mother-daughter share. Grace is that rare find: a genuine, forgiving mare with a heart of gold.

Under saddle, Grace is a joy to ride. She works in a natural outline, carries a soft snaffle mouth, and offers a responsive, balanced ride. She moves beautifully—her expressive, floating trot and uphill canter make her a lovely ride on the flat, whether you’re schooling at home or competing. She is a super honest and straightforward jumper, taking both show jumps and cross-country fences in her stride. She’s brave without being strong and careful without being fussy, giving her rider confidence at every level.

Her temperament is second to none. Grace is a kind, generous mare with no stable vices and an easy, trainable attitude. She is open to any vetting and comes with a recently passed clean vet certificate for peace of mind.

We’re also happy to offer delivery to your yard anywhere in the UK, and in the unlikely event that she isn’t a perfect match, an exchange option is available to ensure total satisfaction.

Grace isn’t just beautiful and talented—she’s incredibly well bred, with bloodlines that speak for themselves. Her sire is Hillside Joker, a quality Connemara stallion known for passing on his kind temperament and athletic movement. On her dam’s side, she is out of Hanna’s Day, by the well-regarded Loughwell Paddy, who himself is by the influential Castlestrange Fionn. These lines are synonymous with quality, performance, and true Connemara type, producing ponies with substance, scope, and wonderful temperaments.

Grace truly is the complete package: beauty, brains, temperament, and talent—all wrapped into one stunning young mare. She would excel in a variety of disciplines, from showing and dressage to eventing, pony club, or just being a much-loved best friend for someone who wants a safe, quality all-rounder.

Nev is a 16.1 14 year old ID x gelding who we have owned since he was 6. We are looking for a confident lightweight rider who enjoys doing a bit of everything. Nev has been out to lots of clinics and unaffiliated competitions including competing up to elementary dressage with scores over 71% and plenty of wins and placings at prelim/novice dressage.

Nev is very honest with his jumping and will happily pop round a course of showjumps or around a xc course. He’s not bothered by fillers or water trays etc, we haven’t done loads of jumping as I prefer flat work however he really enjoys his jumping. He has done some eventing with double clears and SJ competitions, won at 80cm clear round.

He hacks alone and in company and is good with traffic and farm machinery. He has gone out on sponsored rides usually with just one other horse and been great on all occasions. He is good to lead off.

We have also done loads of work on the ground including liberty work/natural horsemanship and bridleless - he is amazing with this and appears to really enjoy it, I would love it if I could find someone who would continue this with him.

He works best with a single rider partnership and thrives off having a good routine. He is probably not ideal as a first horse or for a novice rider but with the right person he is great fun. He does have a buck in him but this is definitely not a regular thing.

He is great with farrier/dentist/clipping etc and loads and travels really well. Good with children, chickens, dogs, peacocks, deer, pheasants and Shetlands! Very sad sale so a good home is very important. References available and lots of photos and videos available on request. Open to vetting.

£8.5K to include bridle, GP saddle and rugs.

Roo is back with me on sales livery after spending the last six months in a lovely home where he’s done plenty of hacking, schooling, and treadmill sessions.

I’m really hoping to find Roo his forever home now, he’s such a special horse, and I know him inside and out. He came straight from Ireland to me. I broke him in for his owner and kept him for a year’s schooling, so I have plenty of videos from the very start of his education right up to now.

Roo is such a loving, happy horse with so much joy to give to someone. He’s not spooky at all, you can ride him in any weather and past absolutely anything. He’s very brave and confident in his own skin.

He’s perfect to hack alone or in company, and loves exploring. He’ll happily plod around on the buckle end, totally relaxed.

Roo is schooling sweetly on the flat, though still a big baby who needs a balanced, confident rider, someone who enjoys bringing on young horses and getting the best out of them. He pops a fence nicely and is bold, though I’ve not done masses with him yet, preferring to take things slowly given his age and size.

He’s an absolute dream to handle in every way. I honestly can’t speak highly enough of this horse.

I can see Roo excelling in dressage with more work, or equally turning his hoof to eventing in the right hands. He loves a varied lifestyle and really enjoys hacking.

You can leave him for a couple of weeks and hop straight back on, he’s always good. But I do want him to go to a home that will keep him in regular work (at least 5 days a week) to keep his brain occupied and happy.

We are regularly contacted with offers of Equines that are ‘the ideal RDA horse or pony’ when actually what is ideal for one group may not be for the next. We are trying to move away from the stereotypical view that RDA Equines are elderly and somewhat static, our horses and ponies need to be fit, healthy and athletic to cope with the lifestyle in an RDA group.

They can range from smaller, forward going ponies to weight carrying cobs and can take part in a range of disciplines from Riding to Carriage Driving, Vaulting to Show Jumping and Endurance.

If you contact an RDA Group about your Equine please be prepared to fill in an Equine Initial Interest Form which will ask you many questions about your horses’ temperament, health history, experience and lifestyle. Many groups will prefer to have an equine on trial to make sure they are suitable for the job.

For long term loans and purchases they will also be required to have a Pre-Purchase Examination.

If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below.
