Arlo is a great part of the yard – super friendly, kind-natured and very easy to have around.

He is happy living in or out and on his own or with other horses.

To ride, Arlo is an absolute pleasure. He is very much more woah than go, making him a comfortable and steady ride.

Arlo recently attended an unaffiliated showjumping show, and behaved perfectly! The busy atmosphere didn’t phase him at all, happy in the busy warm up and easy to handle in between.

He loves hacking and is rock solid in open spaces and in traffic. He hacks happily alone or in company and stands patiently while opening and closing gates.

Arlo has been ridden by many riders of different abilities, a super confidence giver - ready to get out and have some fun!

About Portia
Portia is a sweet, genuine 13-year-old 16hh mixed Portuguese sports horse mare (as per passport). She’s a lovely low-level all-rounder who enjoys hacking and a varied life. This is a sad, heartfelt decision, but finding the right long-term home is the priority.
I’ve had her for 5+ years and she’s done a bit of everything with me: low-level show jumping, schooling, hacking, fun rides, XC schooling, hunter trials and she has hunted previously. She can have the odd spook, so I wouldn’t describe her as a totally novice ride.

What she’s like

Portia is not currently a reliable loader. She was recently in a loan home where they hoped to travel and compete, but they didn’t have the time to work through it. With patience and consistent practice, I believe this can improve (I travelled her every other week about two years ago), but I want to be transparent so she goes to a home that suits her.

Bought for a teenage girl he has never once put a foot wrong, a really lovely sort with a great attitude.

There is no job this boy won’t do, he has a lovely scopey jump, he is incredible XC and gives you a really lovely feel around a course, maintaining a lovely natural rhythm and never ever being rude or strong.

He has beautiful flat work and naturally floaty paces so would certainly suit a dressage or eventing home.

He is amazing to hack alone or in company in the busiest of traffic and never gets silly or naughty with large vehicles or in open spaces.

He is perfect to clip/load, shoe, travel, at shows etc

Ralph is a kind, genuine 16.2hh Thoroughbred gelding who has previously competed up to BE90/BE100 with former owners. With me, hes enjoyed riding club activities, fun rides, hacking, and regular schooling; which he really enjoys and works nicely in the school.

He’s incredibly straightforward to handle and a true gentleman to have around and used to small children running under his feet and always patient and polite. Ralph hacks both alone and in company, and is the same whether ridden every day or once a week.

He has been the perfect partner to bring me back into riding after having children, and he’d suit a mother/daughter share or someone looking for a safe, easy-going horse to enjoy and have fun with both in and out of the arena.
