Amazing hack in company or alone, will cover plenty of miles and happy in traffic. Loves a sponsored ride. Hunted last two years. Doesn't pull but does paw when standing around.

Currently competing unaffilated elementary dressage and winner of multiple leagues over the years.

Wonderful to handle, clip, travel and will live out. Currently in herd turnout out but has lived alone.

This horse is stunning with amazing paces ! He lost an eye as a 5yro but makes no difference to him. He can spook at the strangest things so a good seat belt is needed ! He does not like schooling but will turn up at dressage show like a pro. He jumps when hunting and clinics but looking to step down from competing.

Full 9 year vet history available and no ongoing ailments that need management. Always been kept up to date with jabs, teeth, shoes, physio.

About Portia
Portia is a sweet, genuine 13-year-old 16hh mixed Portuguese sports horse mare (as per passport). She’s a lovely low-level all-rounder who enjoys hacking and a varied life. This is a sad, heartfelt decision, but finding the right long-term home is the priority.
I’ve had her for 5+ years and she’s done a bit of everything with me: low-level show jumping, schooling, hacking, fun rides, XC schooling, hunter trials and she has hunted previously. She can have the odd spook, so I wouldn’t describe her as a totally novice ride.

What she’s like

Portia is not currently a reliable loader. She was recently in a loan home where they hoped to travel and compete, but they didn’t have the time to work through it. With patience and consistent practice, I believe this can improve (I travelled her every other week about two years ago), but I want to be transparent so she goes to a home that suits her.

I have owned Rocky since he was a 5 month old scruffy colt completely unhandled and have spent years moulding him into the horse he is today. He will be 5 in 2026. He has never been rushed and we have taken it slowly and correctly with all aspects of his education. He was backed and riding away nicely last year. We mainly hacked - boxing him up and taking him to the woods or around our land (as well as road work) to expose him to a variety of environments. He went out alone and with others and wasn’t bothered either way. Good with all traffic we saw. He isn’t sharp or stupid - can be forward when out exploring but never naughty. I then turned him away coming into winter as he went a bit bum high again so gave him the winter off.

In the time I have owned him he has done numerous outings including a lot of in hand showing growing up and boxing him to different places and showing him the world. Hes quite a brave bold chap now because of this. He’s quite happy to stable or live out. He will come straight to you in the field. Good to load and travel etc.

I am offering him as he is from the field now before he’s brought back into work in the next month or so. I have been battling with this decision of the past 6 months but a relationship breakdown and having a young daughter has just led me to the decision to take a step back from horses altogether for a while, and although I could keep him in my field, it seems unfair knowing he would stand there wasted when he loves being busy.

He is a young big horse and he deserves a knowledgable home that will continue his education and start his schooling work etc.

The foundations are all there and I have poured my love into him for the past 4 years to ensure they are - so please only good long term homes for him.

If I bring him back into work and continue his education his price will increase. Horses like him don’t come up every day.

Danny is a fantastic gelding with a fabulous attitude and has taken everything in his stride. He has a wonderful temperament ridden and on the ground. He needs more encouragement to go than stop type of ride. He has 3 lovely paces and is a dream to ride.

Would turn his foot to anything so would make a perfect teenagers first horse or mother daughter share, he really could be anyone’s ride. He’s currently an owned by a lady who takes him out and about on local pub rides stopping at every local for a pint or two.

Beautiful bay gelding with superb bloodlines. He is pink papered and sired by Apache X Jazz ! He is just wow, a true Porsche with the Land Rover engine !!!

A true gentleman in every way , shape and form. Very quiet, safe and laid back nature and a real confidence giver, has taught complete novice gentleman to ride , extremely kind and forgiving and very patient with his riders. Currently being ridden , loved and enjoyed by relatively inexperienced 16 year old girl, participating in all riding club activities with success and teaching her some lateral dressage movements.

Really well schooled and push button ride, definitely on the quieter/ push on side, not overly forward sharp or silly in any way. Has outstanding, beautiful paces, and is extremely eye catching and beautiful, he really floats across the ground and is very comfortable to ride like being sat in an armchair. He works very nicely on the flat, a real confidence giver and definitely excels dressage. Has done some unaffiliated dressage competitions and scored well and in the placings , would certainly be more than capable to progress further up the dressage ladder. Has been schooled to a high standard, and is always ridden in a snaffle.

A wonderful confidence giving general allrounder and riding club type, suitable for novicey riders that will step up through the levels . He would be fabulous for a riding school or equestrian college as he is very adaptable for different riders . Suitable horse for all the family.

Has competed in local showjumping and Hunter trials with success . Happy to pop over 80cm, could potentially progress further .

Loves hacking , both alone and in company and is excellent in all traffic . He is also regularly ridden in large open spaces and across the orchards. He will safely ride and lead , and escort a child on a pony and does this regularly .

He has absolutely no vices , he lives in or out with great manners. Doesn’t need to be ridden every day.

Well mannered & confidence giving, he’s perfect for someone looking to step up to horses or alternatively wanting to step down to something safer but still fun. He is light in the mouth & responsive to the aids.

Taylor has done a bit of everything between my son & daughter (18 & 14) over the last two years inc camps & eventing clinics at Somerford & Greenlands EC, PC & NSEA - qualifying for national champs with new 12yr old rider.

He loves XC (Badminton grassroots prospect).

DYLASAU AMAZING ACE - Approx 16.3, 5yo (2020), full ID gelding (Great Grandsire Flagmount King).

This gorgeous big guy is an absolute labrador to be around and handle, he just loves fuss and his 'humans'.

He is a big, quality type. A very solid build with a leg in each corner. That said he is athletic and a forward thinking horse to ride.
Ace was bought as a foal and his owner has done a super job bringing him up. He is mannerly yet inquisitive. He is only recently under saddle with us and is hacking out very well and goes greenly around the arena. He is light on his feet for his size (regularly offering a snazzy medium trot!).

Although he is an absolute Teddy bear, and is really taking to ridden life with ears pricked and a game attitude, he is generally forward off the leg and can have very normal baby moments so IS NOT currently suitable for a novice.

Would love to pop a pair of shoes on, and clip him out, but he is potentially going for a little break if not sold - so come and meet Mr Fluffy!
He has loose jumped, showing nice athletic ability, and he took himself down the line both ways unaided - he is fairly bold 

We backed his mother some years ago and she was fairly spicy to begin with but turned into a fantastic hunter - he is fairly similar with 'nicer' spice!

He has the potential to be an absolute 'Jack of all trades', RC/ showing/ grassroots across all disciplines, hunting etc. A absolutely lovely family horse, but he is still learning and needs competent/ an experienced home to solidify good basics into this fantastic horse to ensure a great future and longevity.
In a years time he's the ultimate unicorn amateurs search for.

Rosie is a lovely, genuine mare who makes a fantastic mum and child share.

She joined us over the summer, when my daughter has gradually brought her back into work, enjoying fun rides, farm rides, and hacking.

She has previously had a minor suspensory injury, however this has caused us no issues at all since owning her (with us since March 2025). She is sound, well, and absolutely loving life.

Rosie can be a little fizzy, but she is very kind-natured, genuine, and a pleasure to have around. I am a novice rider, and she has given me real confidence both in the arena and out hacking.

She enjoys show jumping and has jumped competently up to 85cm at local shows. With further time and consistency, she is certainly capable of more.
