Mixy is a lovely 12-year-old, 16.1hh horse who has been there, done it and is now looking for his next person.

He is very well schooled, straightforward and exceptionally easy to work with. Mix is the type of horse you can simply get on, get going and enjoy. He has a lovely attitude to his work and is a genuine, uncomplicated ride.

He is a fantastic jumper and a super safe horse, making him an ideal choice for someone wanting a horse that will give them confidence and look after them.

Mix has been actively eventing and is currently fit, well and in full work. The photographs/videos are from the 1m class at Grove Event on 28/06/2026, where he jumped clear cross-country. The official result records an issue with a wrong fence, although his full competition record can be viewed on the Eventing Ireland website.

He also won in May, but after stepping him up in height, he started to knock more show-jumping poles than we would like. For that reason, he no longer has a job with us at the level we need him to compete.

This is absolutely not a reflection of his ability as a riding horse. Mix is a lovely, experienced horse who has a huge amount to offer the right home.

He would suit someone looking for that much sought-after “been there, done that, I’ll look after you” type of horse. Whether you’re looking to continue eventing, have fun competing or simply enjoy having a genuinely nice horse to ride, Mixy has the experience and temperament to make someone very happy.

Poppy, a 2022 15.3HH Thoroughbred Mare.

Poppy is a lovely four-year-old bay Thoroughbred filly standing around 15.2–15.3hh. She is a particularly attractive, athletic young horse with a lovely way of going and plenty of potential for a career outside racing.

She has recently been retired from racing 100% sound, with no known injuries, lumps, bumps or stable vices. She is only being offered for sale as she hasn’t quite met her owners’ expectations on the track.

Poppy has only had two runs in bumpers, making her RoR eligible, and although she hasn’t raced over hurdles, she has had plenty of experience with pole work and has jumped barrels, logs and other obstacles. She has therefore already had a good introduction to jumping and has the foundations to progress nicely with further education.

She is a really lovely mover, with plenty of natural action and a tendency to flick her toes. We can easily see her catching the eye in the show ring, but she also has the athleticism and attitude to make a smart little eventing prospect.

Poppy is a genuinely happy, cheerful mare who enjoys life and is a pleasure to have around. She has lived out happily with both mares and geldings and is currently barefoot, although she is accustomed to being shod all round when in regular work.

She has been sold directly from the field simply because we haven’t had the time to get her going and show her what she can do. She will need some re-education and schooling as she starts her next chapter, so she would not be suited to a complete novice. With the right person and some time invested in her, we feel she could develop into a very smart and versatile riding horse.

A lovely young mare with plenty of potential, a great attitude and a whole new career waiting to be discovered.

Beni, a 2023 15.3HH and still growing thoroughbred gelding

Beni is an absolutely lovely young horse with a fantastic attitude and a bright future ahead of him. He is clean, sound and has no known injuries. Unfortunately, he is simply a little too slow for us to see a future for him in racing.

Beni has been ridden away and has raced, making him RoR eligible. He is a very level-headed, sensible youngster who takes things in his stride and has a lovely temperament.

With further schooling and education, we believe Beni has the potential to make a really smart all-round horse. He is still very much a youngster with plenty of maturing and growing left to do.

We have noticed that Beni does crib occasionally. This is something we feel may improve once he leaves the racing environment and the associated stresses and routines of that lifestyle, although prospective homes should of course be aware of this before viewing.

Beni is currently standing at approximately 15.3hh and still growing. We estimate that he could mature around 16.2–16.3hh, and we expect him to develop into a lovely, big, solid horse.

He is a genuinely nice youngster with a sensible head on his shoulders, and we feel he would thrive with someone who is looking to take their time, continue his education and give him the opportunity to develop into the horse he has the potential to become.

Legend is a stunning 16.3hh, 6-year-old grey gelding available for rehoming through no fault of his own.

A real head-turner, Legend has beautiful paces and has been produced slowly, correctly and with his future in mind. He has enjoyed a varied education, including hacking, show jumping, cross-country schooling, eventing, working hunter and showing, although he particularly excels at dressage regularly scoring in the 70’s at competitions. He is proving to be a brave jumper, unfazed by a fillers etc - his jumping education has been taken intentionally slowly to focus on building his confidence and technique which is improving all the time.

Legend has achieved two podium finishes at the ROR Regional Championships and has qualified for the ROR National Championships at Aintree.

He is a kind, sweet-natured horse with a lovely temperament and genuinely has not got a nasty bone in his body. He is, however, not a horse for a novice and will need a confident, sympathetic rider who understands him and can provide the reassurance he sometimes requires.

Legend can have the occasional spook and is not yet 100% confident around heavy traffic, although this is improving all the time. He responds well to reassurance from his rider and continues to gain confidence with experience. He has been seen to crib from time to time.

He is excellent to shoe, box, clip and travel.

Legend will be competing at the ROR National Championships at Aintree (18th-23rd August), where he can be seen competing on the Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.

Legend is exceptionally well bred, carrying some of the most influential bloodlines in modern Thoroughbred racing.

Australia is by the legendary Galileo out of the outstanding racemare Ouija Board, a multiple Group 1 winner and European Horse of the Year. Australia himself was a Classic-winning racehorse, winning the Epsom Derby, Irish Derby and Juddmonte International. His pedigree combines two exceptional families through Galileo and Ouija Board.

Galileo, Legend’s grandsire, is one of the most influential stallions of the modern Thoroughbred. He was himself a winner of the Epsom Derby, Irish Derby and King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes and went on to become one of the most successful sires in Thoroughbred history. He was by the legendary Sadler’s Wells out of Urban Sea.

Sadler’s Wells, Legend’s great-grandsire, was one of the defining stallions of the modern Thoroughbred and became a hugely influential sire throughout Europe, producing more than 130 Group 1/Grade 1 winners.

Legend therefore carries a highly distinguished pedigree, combining the Australia, Galileo and Sadler’s Wells bloodlines with an exceptional dam line through Ouija Board.

He has been given a varied and correct education and has already demonstrated genuine ability and success in the dressage arena and ROR competition.
