Striking, unspooky and very easy, friendly 15.1hh black cob mare (born October 2020) with significant presence who has been out and about locally and on fun rides - ridden by all ages (64-12).

She has the potential to do a lot more in the right hands but will never be a world beater. She has been hacked out on an “as and when” basis over the last 2 years owing to my life circumstances. This speaks well for her as she is reliably safe despite the irregularity of exercise and education. I am an older lady rider, now looking to retire from riding and want to see her fully optimised as the LOVELY horse she IS and the OUTSTANDING family horse I know she can become.


This little horse moves nicely and is happy to pop a log and is happy with trotting poles and cross poles but has had no “formal” schooling. She can be hacked on the buckle end, is reliable in open spaces, never takes hold and is more whoa than go-go-go. She would be brilliant as a loving family horse and happy hacker with the potential to do low level dressage/ showing/xc .

We live on country lanes and she is good with the local traffic. Her field is in the heart of a pheasant shoot – the guns do not worry her at all. Never even noticed when she is in season - totally unmareish.


She is ready for a loving owner who will be consistent and who wants to teach her and/or learn with her. (Please note however that due solely to her age and size and my desire to see her progress she will NOT be sold to a novice or unconfident rider/handler). She is bright and highly teachable - as such she will quickly become “that horse” that many riders want. I have not given her the consistency or next step of schooling and life experience she deserves and I would like to see her being brought on and taken out and about intelligently and kindly with a view to being her owner’s “life horse”. She has had a great and happy start here with groundwork, hacking and slow, steady and kind life experience. She is snaffle mouthed.


She has been clipped the last two winters. Barefoot with good hard feet although she was shod when I got her two years ago. She is good to load and easy to handle. She lives in or out – solo or company & is a good doer. (She has been predominantly with mares although her first summer here she shared a field with a gelding and was fine.) She can be a bit bossy in the field to others but only pulling faces and chasing off. She respects electric fencing and does not eat the wood on post and rail fencing. She is unfazed being left on her own in the stable or when her friends leave her from the field and is always pleased to see you when you come to the gate either to say hello or take her in for a groom/ride. Never been sick or sorry.

Hunted as a 4yo, Currently unregistered due to no fault of her own but she has numerous double clears and wins British novice and discovery and qualified and competed winter blue chip championships 2024

She has amazing technique over a fence, never ever says no and is super careful- has all the attributes to make it to the top but equally is happy to step down.

I bought chilli in April 2024 when she competed at blue chip with the aim to compete, a month later I fell pregnant, she then had a well deserved 6 months off then has been back in work since.

There is nothing about her that lives upto the stereotypical “chestnut mare” she’s super chilled, amazing to handle, load, bath, clip, now wearing shoes, and is used to dogs, goats, pigs, cows, children.

She has been ridden by novice riders, I always hack on my own she’s great in open spaces, on roads and with traffic, I’ve put a lot of schooling into her, she’s light and supple in the contact always ridden in a snaffle, we have done loads of training, fun rides, hound exercises, gallops, waded in rivers and just had fun without pressure but I now feel she deserves to be competing again and I’ve came to the realisation my head isn’t in it anymore after having my little boy!

This isn’t a decision I’ve came to lightly, homes will be vetted and I’d love to stay in touch.

Out of a mare that has jumped 1.40s and has some 145 offspring, by Sligo Candy boy.

Candy is a super attractive model. She is so correctly put together and 3 flashy, athletic paces and a scopey, brave jump.

Candy has had some foals as a youngster due to owner not having a rider and she has produced some lovely quality offspring and was a very good mother.

She has been broken in and jumped at some shows on a ticket and been training round 1.10m at home and arena hires.

Candy is offered at trade price and sold from the field due to making a noise when in work. It doesn’t affect her too much, and she probably could continue to work through it however it also could need a tie back in the future.

Bertie is roughly standing at 15hh, 3 years old, tb x cob, compact sports type horse ready to start furthering his education currently unbroken.

This boy has a very bright future ahead of himself whether it be from happy hacking/ sponsored rides to riding club/pony club to eventing he is going to make an absolute supper star. And I will more than likey kick myself in the future for letting him go!

He is a joy to have around the yard always comes over to see you, absolutely loves attention and having a fussed made of him will stand there for hours. He does currently live out all year round but has previously been stabled at night and you can muck out around him whilst hes eating his feed with no worry or concerns. I do often forget he is only 3.

He has been out to one local inhand show and was a diamond bringing home a couple of 1st places.

He is passported, up to date with vacinations, feet trimmed, teeth and worming, easy to catch, loads and travels fine. Can be turned out on his own or with others. Also can lead him on his own or with others to.

He does have a small splint (pictures on request) otherwise no other lumps or bumps.

Only selling due to lack of time and having two other horses to attend to, he just gets left out and he deserves to be someone's all and everything.

Ballylee Sprinter - Teddy

Teddy is a true gentleman. He has so much to give for such a young horse with three uphill lovely balanced gaits. He has scope to burn, jumping with my 9-year-old daughter everything she points him at. His still young so no novice or beginners. This boy will go very far. His so genuine and kind. Would excel in any discipline. He has great confirmation for the showing ring. He is a true well-bred Connemara.
His recently come 2nd in BSJA schools with scope to burn.

Hacking, well what can I say he goes over and under motorway bridges. He has had artic lorries drive so close I felt claustrophobic, but teddy did not bat an eye lid. His is so brave and chilled. My children handle teddy in all aspects of life. He falls asleep being clipped.

He is 6 so please only people that really want to bring out his true purpose in life. We will continue his education until the right home comes along. My son adores Teddie and if my circumstances were different, he would not be for sale. He loads, clips, farrier, hacks, jumps. His up to date with everything. Badger- 15.1hh 4yo ISH- This fella is an out and out legend you can’t help but grin whilst riding him, see the pictures for evidence! Badge is a gentleman on the ground easy to handle, shoe, clip etc I regularly take him out to competitions by myself and have no issues at all. He’s been professionally schooled on the flat, has 3 expressive paces and would do a nice test. He’s easy off the leg more go than woah but still an easy ride for a competent child. ?He’s been to plenty of arena hires, competed in training shows and has started going out to competitions where he’s taken everything in his stride- no filler is too scary, he’s extremely honest, will not stop, and is nippy against the clock! He’s been on farm rides, beach rides, XC schooled and has competed in hunter trials, will go first or last and just loves his jumping, extremely bold and needs a partner to match! He hacks out alone or in company, is fab with traffic and good in open spaces. He’ll live in or out, on his own or with others, he’s really not bothered, a very chilled out chap. Milly is a real sweetheart and is now ready to go out and see the world.
She came over from Ireland last summer and has been slowly and carefully produced.
She has been lightly schooled, popped over a couple of fences and done plenty of hacking. She also hunted in Ireland.
With an experienced rider she will be fantastic, just not suitable for a novice due to her age.

This handsome 16.2hh, 9-year-old gelding is a real character who thrives on attention and loves being fussed over. He is incredibly affectionate and often falls asleep whilst being stroked, making him a firm favourite with both adults and children alike.

At home, he is an absolute schoolmaster. He has a rocking-horse canter, works beautifully on the flat, and gives his rider a lovely, confidence-inspiring feel. He is straightforward to school and always aims to please.

Jumping is where he really shines. Bold, brave and genuine, he will happily jump anything you point him at, whether that’s coloured fillers, rustic fences or cross-country obstacles. He locks onto a fence and takes his rider with confidence. He has competed up to 90cm, attended clear-rounds and always takes his rider confidently around a course. He is not fazed by fillers or cross-country fences and has never been a horse that looks for a way out.

She's fantastic as a hack, stands politely at the mounting block, great in traffic, regularly crosses 'A' roads. She goes out happily on her own or with company. She's great in the stable and on the floor. She lives in or out and she's excellent to catch, coming to call.

She has recently been at schooling livery and is starting to work nicely on the flat. Her schooling is continuing to progress and she's also been introduced to coloured poles and is proving athletic in this area. She has the potential to be a versatile all-rounder or competition horse.

She's a horse that likes a job to do and thrives on being ridden. Unfortunately, she's proved too much for me out hunting as she is keen and too much horse for me.
