The honest bit: She is spooky, and requires a sure hand. If you’re not the dominant herd member she will take advantage of that! Has trouble loading (that being said when I was doing regular ground work we overcame this). Has been out of work so will need to be brought back to fitness. Needs a farrier who’s going to say hello to her first before they pick up her feet.

BUT if you can handle that she has incredible breeding and is smart as you could ask for. Gorgeous smart girl who rides from your seat and voice. Has attended ground work clinics and takes very well to that (have taught her things like auto-parking so when I raise my right arm she swings her hind towards me to make it easier to mount). Was trained western so has incredible buttons that translate well to English dressage. I have hacked, jumped and schooled with her. An experienced pony with miles under his belt in all spheres, Tom would make a fantastic Pony Club or Riding Club partner, and would equally suit a working livery, college or riding school environment. He has competed successfully at numerous unaffiliated competitions and takes everything in his stride.

On the flat, Tom works nicely in the school with attractive, comfortable paces. He produces a flying change and is happy working both in a soft outline or on a looser contact. He has a lovely way of going and would look right at home in the hunter/jumper ring in the USA — an extremely cute and eye-catching type who also schools beautifully on the flat.

Tom thoroughly enjoys his jumping, both showjumping and cross-country. He is honest, bold and genuine, happily taking his rider to a fence without being spooky or sharp. He’s forgiving of a missed stride, looks after both himself and his rider, and gives confidence.

Out hacking, he is excellent in traffic and sensible to ride alone or in company, and super in open spaces.

Zeus

The ultimate allrounder who can truly turn his hoof to anything. Zeus is a classy, genuine horse with a wealth of experience and a lovely temperament to match. He offers three exceptionally comfortable paces, a beautifully balanced way of going, and the most wonderful rocking horse canter that makes him a pleasure to ride. Adores his flat work and rides like a show horse, he’s the type you could sit on for hours. He has done it all, dressage, showjumping, Xc, hunting, forest rides, sponsored rides, fun rides, and plenty of hacking. He absolutely loves water and throughly enjoying a swim in the river.

To a fence, Zeus is a true point and steer type, incredibly genuine, committed, and happy to go from any stride. He gives his rider enormous confidence, always wanting to help rather than question.

In the hunting field, Zeus is an absolute machine. He adores working with the hounds, stands beautifully at the meet, and is the ultimate ditch jumper. He is equally happy to thrust into action on a big county day or to sit back and enjoy a quieter, smaller day. He’ll happily sit anywhere in the field and behaves impeccably throughout.

Although Zeus is straightforward, kind, and easy to ride, he would be wasted in a novice home simply because he has so much to offer. He is a responsive ride and therefore wouldn’t suit an unbalanced novice who kicks rather than squeezes. 

He hacks happily alone or in company and is a real gentleman in every way. Outside of the arena, he has always been ridden in a rubber pelham, which he enjoys and goes beautifully in, staying light and responsive in the hand across all disciplines. He will, of course, go in a snaffle, but is simply a nicer ride in his preferred setup.

On the ground, Zeus is every bit as kind as he is ridden, he loves people, children, and other animals, and is a true gentleman to handle. (We call him the cuddle monster!) A genuine, honest horse who takes care of his rider and will offer someone a lifetime of fun, confidence, and enjoyment.

Zeus has had sarcoids removed in the past. They have not affected his performance, comfort, or ability to enjoy a varied and active life. This is an honest disclosure for knowledgeable buyers, but certainly does not take away from what an exceptional all-round horse he is. She is happily popping small fences and has jumped various fillers with a bold attitude to everything put in front of her.

Ruby is very easy to do everything with and is up to date with farrier, dentist, physio etc.

Loves to jump in hunt relay teams. Jumped 2 double clears discovery with me, 2nd and 3rd. And won a 105. And will keep jumping bigger classes.

She’s forward going. Keen and brave. Whilst staying ultra carful. Jumps any fence off any stride. Such a confidence giver.

Chilly Pepper Lovely 7-year-old 15.2hh Irish Sports Horse mare by Chillout. A very attractive, well put together type with lovely conformation, straight movement and excellent feet.

On the flat she is forward going yet safe, working nicely off the leg. She is still improving in the school and would benefit from further schooling, therefore not a complete novice ride. However, she is kind and genuine and would not do anything naughty.

The main priority is that my new horse is super safe and non spooky to hack alone and in company, not silly in groups and rock solid in traffic. As long as nice basic paces are there I am happy to put in the work on the flat. Horse must be a quiet personality that enjoys a peaceful home not the hustle and bustle of a busy livery yard. I have a mini bestie here waiting to meet him new mate!
