Ernie 🤎 A kind-hearted, experienced schoolmaster for group lessons, hacking, and hunting 🤎

Ernie is a 15.3h 11yo bay Irish cob gelding with a hardworking, sensible personality

He loves to work and would enjoy staying in consistent riding. He is slightly ‘more woah than go’ without needing a stick or spurs, and will keep himself going. He is not lazy or a kick-ride.

Ernie is excellent at jumping small cross country jumps and 70-80cm courses. He is careful, very honest and steady, and unphased by amateur riding.

Ernie has years of experience with a variety of riders. He has been ridden western, in dressage tack, bareback, and knows how to pull a carriage

Ernie likes hacking in groups and happily leads or follows. He is quiet going new places by himself, around traffic and cows.

He is happiest on a loose rein, and will remain in a steady trot or canter rhythm without getting fast or heavy. He is never spooky, bold or fresh and genuinely aims to please his rider.

We think due to his consistent work ethic and outgoing, friendly personality, Ernie would best suit a family with many riders, a riding school looking for a steady canter/cross rail teaching horse, or a riding club adult looking for a trusty partner.

Ernie has no prior injuries, lumps, bumps, or scars. He is very well mannered for novice or older people to handle, polite to shoe, load, clip, tie, plait, catch, etc.

He has hunted in the past and been cross country schooling

Ernie is open to any vetting

Searching For A Genuine Family Friend/Allrounder - To Enjoy Pleasure Rides, Clinics & Low Level Adventures

  • Approx 15hh (Minimum Full Up 14.2hh, Up To 15.1hh) Age: 6 -13 yrs.
  • Lightweight Cob / Native Or Similar Type
  • Loving, Knowledgeable Family Home For The Right Horse - Happy To Keep In Touch

I am searching for a trustworthy, best friend type to welcome to our kind, knowledgeable, family home. Our horses are treated as part of our family & they receive the absolute best of care. I would be happy to provide references & to keep in touch.

I have ridden for several years & consider myself a knowledgeable & capable rider. However, due to ongoing health issues with my horse, who is now retired, I haven’t ridden as consistently in more recent years & so I am no longer as confident as I once was. Therefore, I am seeking a laid back, best friend type, who does not need riding most days to remain safe & sane (realistically, I will generally ride 3-4 times a week).

We will be enjoying fun hacks from home, attending organised pleasure rides, forest trips, XC schooling & some clinics. I will at times want to hack alone but will also hack alongside my young daughter on her (sometimes quirky!) horse, so it is especially important that I find a level-headed, trustworthy type who I can depend on. Due to us going out in our horsebox regularly, I would like to find a horse who is good to load / travel &, most importantly, who remains calm & polite to handle & ride in different environments.

Our horses are kept at home with us & have all year turnout (stabled overnight during winter). I would love to find a gentle natured, polite character & a true best friend type.

We live in a rural area & although we generally meet very little traffic, when we do, it is often likely to be a tractor/farm vehicle. Therefore, it is hugely important that my new horse is confident around this type of traffic.

* I do appreciate that no horse is ‘perfect’ & that ‘bombproof’ does not exist & I am open to compromise, but please do just be honest about any possible known ‘issues’ as I will not buy unseen & would want to have any potential horse vetted *

We are based in Norfolk so ideally looking for something in or around East Anglia but would travel further if plenty of info, videos/photos could be provided beforehand. I have a sensible budget & very relaxed & loving forever home for the right horse.

**Please read advert to the end!**

**Meet Pips ❤️ available on behalf of her owner**

Pippa is a beautiful 10-year-old, 15.2hh European Sports Horse looking for her perfect forever home.

We're being completely honest about Pips because finding the right match is far more important to us than making a quick sale.

Pippa is looking for a quieter lifestyle following a left hind suspensory injury. She has been fully rehabilitated exactly as advised by the vet and is now completely sound, passing both flexion tests and trot-ups with no issues. As part of ensuring her ongoing comfort, she has also had her SI (sacroiliac) joint medicated, and she is feeling and moving brilliantly.

She has the most wonderful temperament and is a pleasure to own. Pips is easy to catch, handle, clip, shoe, load, travel, and is an all-round kind, genuine mare who loves people. We believe Pips will excel in home where she does a little bit of everything but is also given the very best care. She loves to jump, she is safe to hack alone and in company and is brilliant in traffic and with farm machinery. She would do very well as a low level hunting horse, hunter trials and some show jumping!

Our priority is to find someone who understands her history and is committed to keeping her comfortable with regular physiotherapy or chiropractic treatment, routine saddle checks, and sensible management.

We truly believe Pippa still has so much to offer the right person. Please don't let her history put you off—she deserves a loving home where she can continue to thrive and be enjoyed.

🏡 **The right home is our absolute priority, and we are flexible on price for the right person.**

Super 16.3h 9 year old schoolmaster

Biggie - 16.3h 9 year old Danish Warmblood gelding by the famous “Vangelis”

A lovely stamp of a horse with loads of presence

Hacks out brilliantly alone or in company , will sit at the front back or somewhere in between.

A real easy horse to take out and about , loads first time every time on anything and is polite and easy to tack up and walk to a from rings ect Not at all nappy or Backward thinking.

I can take him to shows/hires alone with no trouble.

Brilliant with traffic infact you probably won’t find much better

Biggie is a real old fashioned stamp of a horse with good bone and conformation ideal for someone who likes the feeling of having a proper horse underneath you or to someone wanting a bit of a weight carrier.

He is Brilliant on the flat a real rocking horse ride , knows his way around the school inside and out and has done a bit of everything ready to teach someone what he knows or take someone through the levels.

He isn’t a novice ride because of the type of horse that he is , but he is about as straight forward as these big blood horses can be although he can be a bit strong at times this is his only fault. Never any badness behind it and he’s ridden and competed my small teenage girls daily.

Although he has plenty of jump he would also be happy in a local level riding club home as someone’s horse rather then a competition horse, he isnt a horse who need to be out competing and doing stuff every weekend you can do as much or as little as you like with him as you like and he’ll jump the same way round 50cm courses that he would 1.30.

Biggie has competed on the bsja circuit and has just this week stepped up and jumped his first 130.

He has all the jump in the world and never says no, he is a goer and would jump the moon if you asked him to.

He will jump any filler or any plank water tray ect and you could miss him 100 times and he will still keep coming he’s a horse with a heart the size of him .

Jumps ditched / hedges out hunting and has potential to also be a top class hunter or large riding horse.

He has never done it before but Would also excel in eventing as he definitely is the stamp to do so.

Never lame sick or sorry

No lumps or bumps

The EASIEST horse to have on the yard and I don’t say this lightly.

Perfect to clip shoe box ect and he’s around children/dogs/ general livestock and farm machinery daily

Everyone who meets him falls in love with his temperament, and he can’t wait to find his new best friend.

Ash 🩶 all Class 1 Breeding Purebred Connemara gelding 🩶

Ash, ‘Ashbrook Chase’ is a 5yo 15h dappled rose grey gelding with a very quiet nature and great work ethic

He has been competing in 80cm classes at shows and enjoys it very much! He is very brave and careful without ever being hot, sharp or strong.

He has been cross country schooling and remains adjustable to every fence. He has no issue with water or drains

Ash has began training for working hunter competitions and loves it! He is unphased by liverpools, flags, and natural fences

Ash always goes in a loose ring snaffle and requires no prep before competition of any kind. He does not get fresh or silly, and schools easily in the contact

We think he is ideal for learning to jump and compete with, as he stays right under the leg without help from the rider. He is not forward or lazy, just stays steady and adjustable on course.

Ash is very quiet to hack in groups and self confident on his own. He is happy to lead or follow and gets along with all other horses. He is quiet around machinery, traffic and cows

Ash was purchased directly from his breeder as a 3yo, and produced slowly and correctly with our team

He is very easy to load, plait, catch, tie, groom, shoe, etc. and loves going new places- he is extremely well behaved and mellow.

Ash is open to any vetting

Gorgeous gelding by Kannan

  • Gelding
  • 12 years
  • 17.1hh / 176cm
  • Great Hack
  • Superb Jump
  • Loves XC

It is with a heavy heart that I am looking for a quieter life for my gorgeous boy. Hacking, low level jumping, fun rides, hunting.

I have owned Jack since the very beginning of 2023.

He is about 17.1hh, by Kannan and out of a Cevin Z mare.

He is 12 years old - born 2014.

Within a year he took me from jumping 90cm to 1.25m. He has jumped all his life.

We have enjoyed lots of BS amateur classes together, champs, and jumped abroad in Belgium for 3 months at unaffiliated shows and training shows.

He absolutely loved XC when I took him on 2 occasions.

He's also a super hack. We've been round the Well Vale Ride several times and he will happily lead. He's great in the open space around fields and through woodland.

Jack is great to shoe, catch, for the dentist, vet etc.

He almost loads himself on the lorry, and will stand on it all day. Travels great. A real pro.

He's great to clip although a bit fidgety about his legs.

In his time with me he's lived out, completely in, and as he is currently - out in the day and in at night.

Currently turns out alone with a neighbouring friend. But I have turned him out previously with another which he's also been good with.

Since October 2023 admist plenty of jumping, I have medicated Jacks front feet, hocks, and stifles for arthritic changes.

This has been done around 6 monthly. More recently from September 2025, I have also had his back medicated.

This has all been working well for him, but recently isn't seeming as effective for as long as we'd hoped for his work load.

I have been typically jumping him once or twice a week (going out on the lorry, either show or training). With flatwork and occasional lunging inbetween. Usually he works 5 days a week.

After a recent visit to my vet because I didn't think he felt quite right, she has recommended more hacking would be suitable for him and help keep his joints happy. Along with stepping down to lower level jumping. 70/80/85 ish for example.

She thought a hunting home would be great for him, considering the plentiful hacking, a hunt once a week in the season and down time through the summer.

He would possibly not need medicating as much then with this work change. Maybe only yearly.

I think he'd be super for a hunt rider. He was so brave xc and is great out on rides as I mention above.

Or for a competent amateur who wants a loving beautiful quality horse for fun rides, hacking. Some low level jumping etc. A best friend.

I think a competent teen would really suit him too, he loves to go speedily round a smaller track jumping. I think he'd be really competitive and lots of fun.

He'd do a dressage test I'm sure, but I'd not say flatwork is his fave thing. He's always lived to jump. And you can tell his loves a ride out as his ears are always pricked and he marches on.

We have xrayed his hocks and scanned his stifles august 2026 to compare whether there has been any deterioration since 2023 when he started being medicated and there hasn't.

As mentioned above his back xrays are pretty current from Sept 2025.

I haven't had recent front feet xrays since the 2023 ones but he is always sound in front. Hes shod in normal front shoes by my caring farrier who does a great job, in pads with putty underneath.

He would just need a good conscious farrier to continue this.

All of his veterinary history is available.

This is absolutely heartbreaking and not something I forsaw happening in 3.5 years from when I bought him. The time has passed so soon and theres so many more dreams I had with him.

Its a very hard decision.

But I have his best interests, health and happiness at heart. This comes first.

He is far too special for me to retire to a field here. And I think he'd hate that as he really loves his work.

Will only be sold to someone 100% trustworthy and I'd want to be offered to have him back should circumstances change as I would hate to see him passed around.

Happy to whats app any further questions. Have a tonne of videos.

He can be viewed near Louth North East Lincolnshire.

He can be ridden by all of the family and has been ridden by an 11 year old girl.

Romeo has been on trips to the beach where he was mannerly and level headed, happy to go first or last and equally happy to stand whilst his jockey took some videos of his friends galloping past! He really is a true gentleman.

He has been xc schooling which he absolutely LOVED! He’s is super intelligent and always looking for the next question, jumping steps, ditches and water.

He has also been showjump schooling proving unphased by fillers and has lovely technique over a fence.

Stamped HWSD N/N in his passport.

Doesn’t need to be ridden everyday, he can have time off without getting fizzy.

Good to load, travels alone or in company and will stand on the lorry by himself whilst his friends are being ridden. Hacks alone or in company. Good to catch, bath, etc, lovely ground manners. Will live in or out, currently out at night and comes in during the day to get away from the flies.

  • Kind family horse looking for home for life

I am looking for a kind genuine horse to be my best friend for hacking, low level dressage, fun rides and a yearly holiday to the beach. Home for life awaits on a small private yard where horses are treated as individuals. I am not the most confident rider having had a sharp youngster but I am an experienced owner who can provide references and is happy to keep in contact. Looking for a horse to have love and have fun together at a low level.

The main priority is that my new horse is super safe to hack both alone and in company across the fields and out in traffic. I am looking to do some Novice Dressage but happy to put the work in. No vices and open to a vetting. Must be able to have a few days off without any drama. More of a family type than a competition horse. Ideally a ID/ ID x / Cob X / ISH - basically a MW type!

Stable ready and waiting! Mid teens budget.

Rocco 15.2HH Irish Cob Gelding

  • Genuine, kind horse with a fantastic attitude to work
  • Has all the ingredients to make an exceptional all-rounder
  • Hacks alone or in company

Due to genuine personal circumstances, Rocco is sadly looking for a new home. This is through absolutely no fault of his own, and he will only be sold to the very best home.

Rocco is a genuine, kind horse with a fantastic attitude to work. He is always willing to please and gives everything a go. He takes confidence from his rider, so he would be best suited to someone who can ride positively and consistently. However, he would also happily suit a confident novice rider with some horse knowledge who is looking for a genuine young horse to enjoy and continue producing. Kind, willing and eager to learn, Rocco has all the potential to make an outstanding all-round horse.

Rocco was professionally backed at the start of last winter before being turned away to mature. He returned to work in March and has been riding away consistently ever since. Despite his young age, he has taken everything in his stride and continues to impress with his willing attitude and sensible nature. He really is an old head on young shoulders, taking new experiences in his stride and always trying his best.

Since coming back into work, he has enjoyed beach rides, cross-country schooling, flatwork and plenty of hacking. He hacks happily alone or in company and is equally happy leading or following. He is very good in open spaces and, although he may be a little more forward in completely new environments, there is never anything silly or naughty about him. He has a lovely, level-headed temperament and always tries his best.

He is also incredibly genuine to ride after time off. He recently had several days off during the hot weather and came straight back into work without any fuss.

On the ground, Rocco is a pleasure to have around and is a real yard favourite thanks to his kind, friendly nature. He has lovely stable manners and is easy to handle in all respects.

Rocco is:

* Good to catch

* Good to load

* Can be unsure with the farrier but is improving with regular handling

* Well-mannered on the ground and in the stable

* Easy to do in all ways

* Up to date with vaccinations, dentist and farrier

Roxy is a super smart, quality maxi cob a type that is becoming very hard to find these days.

She is a forward going, enjoyable ride and would suit a very competent novice upwards. Roxy would make someone a fantastic Riding Club all rounder and would be perfect for someone wanting to get out and have fun. She enjoys fun rides, beach rides and hacking and has plenty to offer her new home.

She hacks alone and in company and is good in traffic and around livestock.

Roxy has a lovely, kind and quiet temperament, with no vices, and is good to do in all ways.

A really lovely, genuine cob who would suit someone looking for a smart, fun and versatile horse to enjoy

Max is a beautiful, much sought after, stamp of horse. He combines bone and presence but is light on his feet and not a cob like ride!

He is a super quality 5yr old, 16.2hh ID X ISH (white book no breeding recorded) gelding. He was purchased from Ireland last Novembe. Max had done some hunting and lots of hacking in Ireland. He was then professionally produced on further in England. He has been hunting and proved sensible, careful and bold. He has attended numerous arena hires, clear round shows, and dressage shows. Max has always proven to have an exceptional attitude towards his education and has taken everything in his stride.

Max is working sweetly on the flat, he has a nice mouth and wants to go to the contact and work correctly. He’s working well on the flat in walk trot and canter in a soft outline, He is willing in his brain, has a lovely trainable attitude. He has been to dressage tests, and was fabulous in the warm up arena and in the boards.

Max is good to hack alone or in company. He is v good in heavy traffic/motorbikes and farm traffic.

Max is very sweet to jump, he is very good over a fence with a good technique in front, and behind. He is good over fillers, he will trot and pop or canter to a fence.

Max is good to clip, shoe, load on a trailer or 3.5 tonne lorry. He is good to travel, bath, catch. Good to pull his mane etc. he is a lovely horse to have around. He turns out alone/ in a heard / with mares or geldings.

He has no health issues, he has a clean vet cert, and set of X-rays of front feet (due to clients previous experiences with own other horse). Max is for sale through no fault of his own, due to owners change in personal circumstances. In the last couple of months he has predominantly been doing lots of hacking and fun rides and some arena hires.

Not suitable for a total novice as is a young horse.

Fitted tack available at negotiation.
