Blue is a 15.2hh 7yo Irish Draught x Connemara gelding. He has been owned for the last two years by a teenage rider and has done a variety of things in that time including showjumping, dressage, arena eventing, ODEs, XC schooling and plenty of hacking.

He is currently competing at 80cm and is schooling 90cm+. He has won at arena eventing and unaffiliated dressage, had numerous placings unaffiliated showjumping and has also been placed at an unaffiliated ODE, where he had the best dressage score.

He’s more woah than go, with a chilled, sensible and laid-back attitude to life. He schools nicely on the flat and is straightforward to jump, and would really suit someone looking for a safe, steady type who doesn’t need riding every day. He hacks alone and in company, is great in traffic and sensible in open spaces. He is also often used to ride and lead.

Blue is easy to have around and good to shoe, clip, load and travel. He happily lives in or out and is used to living with others. I am searching for a trustworthy, best friend type to welcome to our kind, knowledgeable, family home. Our horses are treated as part of our family & they receive the absolute best of care. I would be happy to provide references & to keep in touch.

I have ridden for several years & consider myself a knowledgeable & capable rider. However, due to ongoing health issues with my horse, who is now retired, I haven’t ridden as consistently in more recent years & so I am no longer as confident as I once was. Therefore, I am seeking a laid back, best friend type, who does not need riding most days to remain safe & sane (realistically, I will generally ride 3-4 times a week).

We will be enjoying fun hacks from home, attending organised pleasure rides, forest trips, XC schooling & some clinics. I will at times want to hack alone but will also hack alongside my young daughter on her (sometimes quirky!) horse, so it is especially important that I find a level-headed, trustworthy type who I can depend on. Due to us going out in our horsebox regularly, I would like to find a horse who is good to load / travel &, most importantly, who remains calm & polite to handle & ride in different environments.

Our horses are kept at home with us & have all year turnout (stabled overnight during winter). I would love to find a gentle natured, polite character & a true best friend type.

We live in a rural area & although we generally meet very little traffic, when we do, it is often likely to be a tractor/farm vehicle. Therefore, it is hugely important that my new horse is confident around this type of traffic.

Choccy Woccy Doo Dah (aka Darcy) is a stunning 16.1hh, 10yo dark chestnut mare and is sadly looking for a new home due to her owner’s personal circumstances. Darcy’s owners bought her as a 2yo so her full history is known and she is very loved so a home that are happy to keep in contact is important.

Darcy is fairly low mileage for her age but has done plenty of arena hires, XC schoolings and a couple of unaff DR & SJ with good success. She’s been with us for just over a month to run through her paces ready for sale and has always been an absolute pleasure to have around!

Darcy has 3 very big, forward moving floaty paces therefore would not be suitable for a novice rider however she has proven safe with everything asked of her. Darcy has jumped round courses of showjumps 1m+ including fillers and water trays without questioning anything and I’m sure with more fitness she’d easily go plenty higher! She is equally very fun out XC and has flown over some very big beefy jumps - this combined with her impressive paces would make her a fantastic eventer or just a super cool all rounder for someone to have lots of fun on!

Darcy loves to hack out too! - she’s prefer to be up front if hacking in company as she can be a bit jig joggy at times but I’ve never had any worries at all sending my riders out on her! She’s brilliant with traffic, big lorry’s and farm machinery etc.
