Ginger Fling

Reluctantly we have taken decision to rehome our lovely Chestnut gelding Ginger aged 14 and 16 hands .

Ginger has been with us five years, ridden by three siblings . Now two are at uni and we still have two horses, and simply can’t manage ..

Previously a showjumper, he has been a family all rounder in his current home, doing some showjumping, Hacking, and lessons.

He has a kind temperament, has been handled by all members of the family, the youngest of whom has been historically quite a nervous rider. In the past year he has given her so much confidence , and he has really looked after her.

He is delightful to hack. While flat work hasn’t been a favourite with the kids, he can go nicely when the time is put in. He still jumps, but we are looking for a home that wants to focus on the hacking and flatwork

He had a hock fusion a few few years ago , and now runs on anti-inflammatory daily. A knowledgable long-term home is essential.

Looking for a new home on behalf of owner - 7yo 16hh approx Tb gelding, eligible for RoR.

Tip is a super fun little horse. He has done plenty of hunting in previous home and did lots of common riding last summer with teenage boy. He is forward going but doesn’t buck or rear.

He schools very well and would be fantastic for RoR classes.

He popped round some jumps and showed a great attitude to learn with natural talent to match.

He loads and travels in the trailer well, is easy to work with and stands well for the farrier.

He is known to occasionally wind suck after eating.

Storm is a smart, handsome, well put together grey Connemara x Irish Sports Horse with some draught in his breeding, combining substance, athleticism and a genuine competitive attitude.

He is bold, scopey and careful to a fence and is currently comfortably competing at 90cm / 100cm with a consistent, rideable jump. Storm has completed ODEs, showing a straightforward, honest attitude across all three phases, and has been successfully shown as well as taking part in riding club activities, always behaving professionally away from home. We have attended many clinics, fun rides and he loves the beach and doing cross country.

He is a responsive, fun forward-thinking ride without being strong or sharp, making him ideal for a competitive rider who wants a reliable, sensible horse to campaign and enjoy, he always puts a smile on your face whilst riding him. He’s the type you can school through the week and take to a show at the weekend with confidence.

Storm has hunted, proving himself brave, mannerly and genuine in the field. He covers all ground and is light on his feet.

I have know him since birth and owned him until he was 7 I broke him in. He is a lovely chap lovely temperament and always willing to please.

We have hunted him he was good on the field stood at the meet good with the hounds and jumps everything. He has been around a course of fences nothing phases him like fillers or anything has 3 lovely paces . Currently being ridden by a 15yr old girl .

In his current home for the last 3 years he has been on a farm so used to all animals and machinery hacks out alone or in company first or last.

I think he would prefer a active home doing a bit of everything. He is low mileage for his age so would suit more a confident experience rider.

I had Ned on sales livery two years ago, when he was known as Ted. He came to me then as a lower mileage 8yo, stayed for a couple of months schooling then moved onto sales livery, and then I found him a lovely home where he has had a very happy two years enjoying a bit of everything.

Ned rides sweetly on the flat and has the most beautiful, floaty trot. He enjoys pole work, is very genuine over fences. He is absolutely foot perfect in open spaces and would really fill someone with confidence. He is also golden out hacking, being extremely brave both alone and in company.

Ned has a lovely temperament. He is clicker trained and enjoys learning new tricks, which adds to his fun and kind nature.. I think he would quite enjoy working equitation.

I think Ned could suit a variety of homes as he is a very versatile horse who genuinely enjoys doing a bit of everything.

He is perfect to handle and to do in all ways, other than he does need Domosedan gel for the farrier. He is currently shod all round as he has been doing a lot of off road hacking in the Peak District, although when I sold him originally he was barefoot so I think that would depend on your terrain.

He is up to date with everything, fit, and ready to go on and have plenty more fun with his next lucky owner. Sadly only looking for a new home as his owners work commitments, owners would like to stay in touch and are happy to speak to anyone who’s interested.

Thaayer is now on the look for his new family due to lack of time and facilities. He retired sound from racing in 2023 and since then has mostly been a happy hacker with the odd bits of schooling.

Thaayer will hack all day everyday alone and in company. He will go first or last, perfect in open spaces, never silly or spooky.

Thaayer has done very limited schooling due to our yard not having the facilities. Despite this he moves lovely on the flat and would make a lovely dressage horse. He has very flicky movements, equally would do well in a show ring. He did a small amount of showing with me last year however this isn’t something I have much interest in.

Thaayer has done very little jumping, proven to be very keen to learn but would need a confident rider to help him improve. Thaayer has been hunting and enjoyed this too.

Thaayer is as safe as they come. I’ve never known him to buck, bolt, rear, bronk.

Perfect in traffic, good to clip, bath, catch, load. He does however crib. This has never affected him and causes him no health issues.

He is up to date with farrier, physio, vaccinations, dentist.

Would make a wonderful mother/daughter share or a summer project for somebody. He’s a lovey boy with a very big heart, ready for his next adventure!
