Maggie is a big cuddly teddy bear. I have owned her for 4 years. She has nice flat work and is just in a snaffle bit at all times. She has 3 nice paces at walk trot and canter and can do a nice prelim dressage test.

She happily jumps round a small course of fences and is very sane and steady to ride to a jump. She has worked in my riding school since a 4 year old and has been used for novice and beginner riders.

Maggie is a super hack where she is happy to walk by anything and is good in traffic. She is a real sit on and daydream hack. Maggie is really kind in the stable and loves her cuddles.

Poppet is a little superstar, she has lovely paces and does a really smart test, shes easy to ride on the flat and stays in a rhythm.

Poppet loves to jump she has jumped upto 1m with scope for more, and is straightforward to a fence and super honest, she doesn't overjump so is great for a rider who lacks a little confidence and will trot and pop if asked. She has done fillers/water trays ect and isnt spooky in new places.

She is fabulous xc and is great with water skinnys and ditches. She doesnt get strong in open spaces and is happy in group training.

She is super safe out hacking and could be ridden by a total novice.she wil go alone or in company and will go first or last, shes the type you could send a child out on and not worry about at all. Shes doesnt spook if other horses spook and if others canter off she will happily wait behind if asked.

Shes such a poppet! And will do a variety of jobs. Videos available via WhatsApp

Autumn - 16hh Skewbald Mare, 12yr old Cob x Warmblood type

On behalf of her owners we are proud to offer for sale the well know well loved mare that is Autumn.

A beautiful moving forward thinking type. Schools well on the flat with elevated up hill paces. Works in a natural outline.

Has worked around coloured show jumps and is proving willing to learn and eager to please. Autumn is keen with a huge engine so not suited to a nervous novice rider she would excel herself in a home with 'job'.

Autumn has hunted with the Gelligaer Farmers hunt and being a sturdy & sure footed sort she crossed all country with no issues.

Naturally brave and bold Autumn is forward into hunt style fences so a future in XC, hunt chasing or even possibly a hunt staff horse.

Can be strong when she gets going. Hence we think she is best with jockey who likes a horse to take the ride. She is reactive off the leg and really likes to get on and go!!

Super on the yard and can be handled by all ages. Will have occasional mare moment when trying to pull mane etc then again not many horses approve of that - so we really don't blame her.

Loads and travels with ease - trailer, 3.5 or a lorry.

Has done plenty of fun rides and beach rides with her previous loaner who sadly had to return her due to other commitments. Her elderly owner simply cannot justify keeping her when in ill health herself.

She has been with her same owner since a foal so finding her a perfect match is now a priority for us . Owner would love to see Autumn bringing someone as much pleasure as she has done her.

Hacks alone and in company . Great in heaviest traffic having most recently been living close to a quarry - she has seen plenty of Lorries, motorbikes, buses etc. In company she likes to take the lead - again forward thinking mare. If you're looking to amble about she's sadly not the mare for you.

Never looks to nap.

Has attended pole work clinics and local shows where she has brought home quite an array of frillies both in hand and under saddle.

Turns out with mares and geldings no issues and is great to catch lead in etc.

Does require sedation for clipping
No health issues or sarcoids
Vice free

Red Velvet - Meet ‘Big Red’ - An extremely classy , show stopping 18.1hh, 11yo warmblood mare

No lumps or bumps nor vices
Very well related with talent and class all through the bloodlines on both sides!

Red is a well put together model with everything going for her! There is so much to love about her but I’ll try and keep this as short and sweet as I can.

She is the least chestnut mare I’ve ever met in my whole career. She could easily be a bay gelding! Handled by my 4 year old daughter on a daily. Perfect to shoe, catch, load , travel, bath etc! Easy as can be for any member of the family to see to. She extremely loving and loves nothing more than affection. Will stand statue still all day long to be pampered and loved.

On the flat she is one hell of a head turner. Red has been beautifully produced by her owner and as a result is very push button. Very obedient up and down the transitions. Perfect walk to canter , lateral work , and the trot … well , how can I put that! Let’s just say, that’s one of the most uphill and comfortable trots I’ve ever ridden. So much range and rideablity , you could just ride her around all day long. The type of mare that makes anyone look like they know what they’re doing. Has done very well in unaffiliated dressage test and I feel this is a sphere she would absolutely thrive in. She loves to work and is super easy. A nice leg in each corner type. I fell her potential in this sphere is uncapped

She’s no one discipline wonder … she loves to jump! Very bold and genuine over fillers. Most recently jumping double clear in the 80cm at summerhouse. Again, very easy to a fence and loves the job. Super forgiving if you miss etc. Would certainly go out and do this job also. Does have scope to jump bigger tracks with further production

Hacks out faultlessly!! Alone or in company , no questions asked type. Leads the way or happy to keep back. Bold and brave in the heaviest of traffic and is certainly my ride of choice. Infact, she’s everyone ride of choice which sometimes causes a tiff with the yard girls! Super in open spaces , stands at the mountain block , opens and closes the gates etc

There is a BUT with Red. She is with me on sales livery due to owner loosing a bit of confidence. 95% of the time she is as perfect as perfect gets. However, she has been known on occasion to have a big spook which has knocked some confidence with current owner. This is not something we have seen with her ourselves as of yet but is something she has been known to do. I don’t believe this will phase everyone , she’s been an absolute star here but is something to keep in mind. As a result, we will not sell to anyone novice , nervous or incompetent. This is an extremely difficult , heart wrenching decision for her owner to make. She only wants the very best for her and will absolutely want to stay in touch

Come along and meet her if you think she may be for you! It would be an absolute please to show her off. I’d like to keep her for myself but I think I may send my partner into a seizure if I buy yet another personal horse.

Rio - 15.2hh Polo Bred Gelding 2011 Liver Chestnut

Offered to the market on behalf of his owner Rio is looking for a new best friend to call his own.

With an extensive CV Rio has lots to offer.

Hunted with the bloodhounds, Rio proved unfazed by the busy atmosphere and enjoyed being around lots of other horses and having a fast paced job to do.

Beach rides and fun rides are his favourite. Lots of cantering and adventuring around the open countryside as well as dipping his toes into the sea.

Having previously played polo he is a responsive switched on ride and prefers to take confidence from a still well balanced competent rider.

Rio will ride in an arena although he does tend to activate polo mode a little more in this environment will be more responsive than he would be on say a happy hack.

Happy jumping logs and poles when out and about - not a ready made show jumper as this hasn't ever been asked of him. With time and schooling this could just be his unfound forte.

Great on traffic and is a brave sort. Happy to hack alone and in company.

Sadly Rio was sold to his owners 6 months ago and has come back to us to be sold as he simply wasn't a good match to his less experienced jockey. Since being in our yard we have found him ever so slightly worried so think the rider horse/ combo may have left him unsettled.

That said he has also been owned by a fun loving teenager and she idolised him. He was sold purely down to family circumstances at the time - she would love to stay in touch.

Not the type to nap, bronk or rear. Not suited to a novice home - Experienced quiet riders will allow him to shine.

An absolute saint to have on the yard. A gentleman in the stable. Recently trimmed by the farrier. Clipped and only needed extra hands to do his ears and head. No stable vices.

Loads onto a trailer like a professional and travels well.

Happy to turn out with mares and geldings. Is neither top nor bottom of the pecking order so will slot into any home / yard environment.

We have hunted him he was good on the field stood at the meet good with the hounds and jumps everything. He has been around a course of fences nothing phases him like fillers or anything has 3 lovely paces . Currently being ridden by a 15yr old girl .

In his current home for the last 3 years he has been on a farm so used to all animals and machinery hacks out alone or in company first or last.

I think he would prefer a active home doing a bit of everything. He is low mileage for his age so would suit more a confident experience rider.

Meet our yard reliable ‘Jack’ - a stunning 14.2HH, 9yo, cob gelding
Jack has no lumps nor bumps , blemishes nor vices. A true to type , good stamp , plenty of feather and a super sort.

Jack is as kind and affectionate as you could wish for in and out of the stable. Extremely easy to do and loves a fuss. Enjoys being bathed, groomed , and pampered. Lives in or out, perfect to load and travel, and great to catch! Does require sedation for clipping

Jack works well in the school and is obedient up and down the transitions in all three paces. Recently been professionally schooled so has had a great education. Will willingly pop coloured fences although I must say his talent does not lie in this sphere!! As honest and brave as you like but lacking his inner show jumper! That said. He’s great over logs etc out hacking / funrides. So brave and never says no! Currently ridden by my novice apprentice yard girl and proving to be quite push button for her and extremely patient and kind

Jack hacks alone or in company and is a true ‘no questions asked’ type. He goes out in the heaviest of traffic with us and doesn’t bat an eyelid! Stands perfectly at the mounting block , mannerly but fun in open spaces , lead the breakers out, or slot in down the line type

With his current owner Jack has been on numerous fun and beach rides (which he absolutely loves!!). As well as many ‘one handed neck rein TREC’s’, cross country schooling etc! He’s had a go at most things!

Also had great natural horsemanship training and is supper mannerly and obedient as a result

While being absolutely foot perfect with us , his owner has placed him in sales livery with me as she just feels sometimes he can get a touch ‘giddy’. I believe this has been on very few occasions where he has got a touch excited. No bucking , rearing etc! We haven’t seen this from him while being with us but due to this we are not wanting to sell to a novice. He would suit someone who wants something very straight and sensible but also wants to have a bit of fun and not a kick along!

He’s a super chap, we absolutely love having him with us and I just know , someone is going to be absolutely landed with him!

Looking for a small compact powerhouse? Look no further, this flashy non mareish mare is the most pretty and perfect small horse you could find.

Bred for dressage she has fantastic bloodlines including Wynton, DiMaggio, Jazz, Matador.

She is so light off the floor and very well balanced.

Purchased directly from the breeder and broken in where she has been shown a little bit of everything, ridden round the farm, hacked out alone and in company, been in the school, done some polework and loose jumped. Also been to arena hires, lesson and dressage show.

She has a rubber snaffle mouth and is good off the leg. She is ready to be brought on in any sphere. Was showing good train ability and started baby leg yields, shoulder in, rein back, on and back in trot before being turned away for break. Wouldnt take long to start back up and be ready to go out

I could see her as a small dressage horse, intermediate show horse, intermediate worker, junior eventer, show jumper, or a class all rounder.

good with farrier. Lovely natured, super intelligent, kind.

Currently barefoot. Sound tough and hardy

Loaded and good to travel in trailer and 3.5 lorry

Super easy to handle on ground and away from home

Also clipped with no issues

Suit teenager/ small adult.

Sad sale as not quite big enough and a little to laid back for me.

Currently on winter break as I find it impossible to keep horses in work over winter with our lack of facilities and weather although perfectly safe to sit on even after weeks off

Would consider px / swap for something bigger sharper for dressage

Louie is a huge part of our family. I brought him 4 years ago as a green 6yo to produce then sell, but have struggled to come to terms with the selling part as he’s so special to us. This will be an extremely honest advert with as much info as possible because his home is the most important decision for me to make.

Louie is the loveliest horse to have on the yard. He is playful, inquisitive and loves attention. He lives out 24/7 in summer but does mostly stable during the winter. He’s barefoot but great to trim/shoe so could be shod again. He’s great in the field but must see other horses. He has loaded/travelled on trailers upto HGV Lorrie’s, even my non horsey mum loads him. He’s great to bath, clip, catch, etc. He’s great with other horses and will stand on the lorry by himself whilst you take other horses away. My 4yo leads him round, brushes him etc. He has no vices or allergies. He has never had the vet out for anything bar vaccinations. He does have a supplement

Louie has been produced as a showjumper for the last 4 years. He has competed at the blue chip championships, Aintree amateur finals and trailblazer finals with results. He has a record upto 1.05 with 613 points and 1.5k prize money (all since I purchased him). He does like to win and is a forward going ride. He does need a confident rider but equally he has never bucked, reared or bolted. He just loves his job. I competed Louie until I was 30 weeks pregnant in BS classes and still rode him on the flat until the day before I was due. I trust him completely!

Louie has 3 beautiful paces. He has taken part in a couple dressage tests for the riding club team events but this isn’t something I’m interested in.

Louie loves to hack. He’s great in the heaviest of traffic. He will happily lead or slot in behind. He hacks alone or in company. He is also regularly ridden whilst leading my other horse whilst out hacking. He’s great in open spaces and loves a good canter. He’s been to the beach and behaved impeccably, loved going in the sea. Louie will stand patiently to do gates whilst still mounted. He will spook at a blowing plastic bag but will not spook at any traffic or day to day life.

Louie has been XC schooling a handful of times but this isn’t something I regularly do so he would need some training in this area. Although he loves going in/out of water and had a great time.

Louie is such fun to ride. He’s forward, keen and loves to get on with the job. He’s responsive so would not be suitable for a novice or nervous rider. But would definitely suit a teenager wanting a pony club/riding club all rounder. His home is by far my priority and I will be vetting potential viewers to ensure suitability before wasting either of our time. Only for sale as I don’t believe Louie is suitable for a pure showjumping home, he likes variety.

I have thousands of photos/videos of his whole journey. Northampton based.

Handsome British Warmblood Seeking His Forever Human

A much-loved, well-bred 16.2hh British Warmblood gelding who is on the lookout for his special person to continue his story.

He’s a genuine, low mileage (14 year old) with plenty left in the tank and a huge amount of untapped potential. Due to life getting in the way (never his fault), he’s now ready for a consistent, confident partner who can give him the direction and routine he thrives on.

The Important Bits
* Lovely, expressive three correct paces.
* Schooled on the flat and shows real quality for dressage.
* Hacks happily in company.
* Previously enjoyed beach rides, forest fun rides and weekends away in company.
* Good to handle and polite for the vet, farrier, physio etc.
* A real people-person who adores fuss and attention.
* He has been to a handful of low level dressage competitions and consistently scored well and would be ideally suited to a dressage-focused home or a confident rider who wants a smart, quality horse to enjoy hacking and flatwork with.

When he was younger, he was introduced to jumping but politely and firmly informed us that leaving the ground is not his preferred life choice. He would therefore not suit a jumping or eventing home (he is very much a “keep all four feet safely on the floor” type).

His Quirks (Because Nobody’s Perfect And We Want To Be Honest)
He is a sensitive soul who takes confidence from his rider.
Very occasionally (if he questions something), he can challenge you with a drop of the shoulder and a spin.
He does not need a highly technical rider but he does need a calm, clear leader. The sort who quietly says, “No, that’s not happening,” and means it.
He thrives on routine, consistency and clear direction. Sporadic work doesn’t bring out his best.
He remains firmly uninterested in showjumping fame.
He does not like to hack alone (The monsters will come for him).

In short: he isn’t looking for the most advanced rider, he’s looking for someone confident, fair and decisive. In the right hands he is hugely rewarding, affectionate and full of quality.

Health
He fractured his left hind fetlock at four (10 years ago). This has caused no issues since and he has no other significant veterinary history.

Home is Everything
He must go to a knowledgeable, loving 5* home where he will be kept in regular work and cherished. This is far more important than price.

Price includes tack and rugs

  • Buzzy and enthusiastic to jump – brave, honest and loves her fences

A smart, genuine little mare with so much to offer. A true allrounder who is an honest, keen jumper and moves beautifully on the flat. She produces a lovely dressage test and is an absolute pleasure to ride.

This mare is not a plod and would not suit a beginner or novice rider. She knows her job, is forward-going and responsive, and can be buzzy to a fence as she absolutely loves her jumping. She needs a competent jockey who enjoys riding a horse that is on the button and ready to go. That said, she is never nasty or silly — she simply enjoys her work

She would be ideal for an experienced teenager or adult wanting a genuine, capable partner to go out and enjoy themselves on.

She hacks out happily and has not been phased by traffic.

Super easy to have around and good to do in all ways:

• Clips, loads and travels well

• Good for the farrier (currently barefoot with excellent feet)

• Snaffle mouthed

• No vices or hang-ups

Up to date with vaccinations, dentist and physio.

A lovely, straightforward mare ready to find her next home and give someone plenty of fun.

Due to daughter's study commitments and her leaving for university we are rehoming our handsome gelding Ozzie.

- Needs a knowledgeable, patient and competent rider/handler. Sensitive horse that prefers a quieter environment and calm consistent handlers.
- Once warmed up Ozzie is a nice forward ride. Enjoys hacking in woodland and fields - keen to canter at the head of a group. Can nap while hacking alone if unsure, but takes confidence from his rider so he can be lead past any issues and carry on.
- Never bolted or reared.
- Full history known. 1 owner prior to us, who produced him from the field aged 6, and evented him 3 times. We bought him 4.5 years ago age 9 primarily for showjumping and hacking. Has jumped clear 80cm and 90cm courses, and up to 1.20m in jumping clinics but has lost confidence and will plant in a show/arena environment. Still enjoys short sessions of fun jumping (and is very forward) where height is built up gradually.

- Currently out on grass in the day/in at night but could live out 24/7 with field shelter
- Very loyal companion horse, can be turned out with mares and geldings. Has displayed separation anxiety after joining a new herd, this improved once settled in. Finds being on his own stressful. Happiest when turned out daily, and able to have visual and physical contact with stable neighbours (e.g. through bars). Currently comes in from field with his bonded companion.

- Up to date with vaccinations, farrier, dental and saddle checks. Consistently low worm counts.
- Good for farrier, vet, dentist.

- Has been barefoot for 2 years, wears boots on fronts for hacking on hard ground. Good with farrier so could be shod in new home if necessary.

- History of glandular ulcers, since scoped clear. Managed with turnout and constant access to forage. Food guards in stable.
- Diagnosed with arthritic joint in neck 2 years ago. Since then has had twice yearly steroid injections to maintain comfort and suppleness when schooling and jumping. These may not be necessary if going to a hacking-only home.
- Full vet records at Bell Equine can be disclosed, vet is happy to discuss any concerns.
- Comes with Agria lifetime equine policy in place (unfortunately neck injections are not covered)

- Hesitant loader. No trailers. In previous home travelled with company on 7.5t lorry. He has only travelled a few times in a 3.5t box while we have owned him, as we do not have our own transport, and have hacking and excellent riding facilities/instructors/shows at our yard. Loaded and travelled fine with a little sedation.
- Good on quiet roads, used to cars, vans etc. Familiar with yard vehicles such as JCBs, forklift truck, tractors. Good with dogs.

- Ozzie will make a lovely ridden horse to someone who is prepared to give him time to settle in and do the positive training required to get the best from him.

- Comes with tack and boots (fronts)

- Can be viewed at livery yard in Bexley/Sidcup (South East London/Kent border, can be accessed via non ULEZ road)

- No loans or trials

The ultimate Christmas cob!

Stunning dun & white cob

Tyson has got one of the nicest temperaments you will ever find in a horse. He loves having fuss and attention and will stand to be groomed and pampered for hours. He’s definitely a yard favourite here such a mannerly young cob!

He has a great laid back temperament and Will let you get on from mounting block or ground.

He is a great allrounder and will turn his hoof to anything asked of him. Although he is young he has started his education with his schooling and he is coming along nicely with three lovely balanced paces. He would go out and do a nice dressage test. We have also jumped him over some fences at home where he has proven him self to be a very honest careful jumper.

He is good to hack alone or in company. Not phased by farm machinery or any traffic you can hack him on the busiest of roads.

This cob is top quality and one that will go far!

He is good to do in all ways

No lumps or bumps
