He is sensible and level headed and seriously handsome! What more could you ask for.

Temperament

Kind, and eager to please. Gari is a genuine people horse. He's happy hacking alone or in company. Alone, he hesitates at the gate so he just needs a little encouragement and then he is away. He is good in traffic as well as grass tracks.

Schooling

Goes nicely in the school with three balanced paces. He is more of a kick along than a hold back type.

Out and About

Loads and travels like a dream. Stands quietly on the lorry all day at shows. Doesn’t get hot headed or silly when out and about. He will be great for someone to do some dressage on or fun rides, beach rides, forest rides etc.

Ground Manners

Absolute gent on the yard, he is good to shoe, (currently barefoot) clip, catch, tie, groom. Can live in or out. Gets on well with mares and geldings.

Jumping

Gari isn’t a massive fan of jumping, he hasn’t done much of it but i do have a video of him jumping i can show you. He is a naturally talented jumper and I’m sure he would learn to enjoy it but he is just worried as it’s a new thing to him. So please don’t expect him to fly over jumps straight away - he has been a flat showing horse all his life, with no variety, bless him :(

He is super sensible but wouldn't be a complete novice ride but no reason your novice partner couldn’t jump on and take him out for a plod or go around the school.

He is the most lovely chap, i want the best home ever for him. Sadly due to a close loss in the family we are having to downsize - absolutely gutted but it means we want the best home for him.

Our ideal home is someone who will love him and respect him for who he is, not want to thrash him around a show ring every weekend, we saved him from that life - he wants to enjoy life now and enjoy some beach, forest and fun rides, riding club activities, the odd showing show etc.

I am searching for a trustworthy, best friend type to welcome to our kind, knowledgeable, family home. Our horses are treated as part of our family & they receive the absolute best of care. I would be happy to provide references & to keep in touch.

I have ridden for several years & consider myself a knowledgeable & capable rider. However, due to ongoing health issues with my horse, who is now retired, I haven’t ridden as consistently in more recent years & so I am no longer as confident as I once was. Therefore, I am seeking a laid back, best friend type, who does not need riding most days to remain safe & sane (realistically, I will generally ride 3-4 times a week).

We will be enjoying fun hacks from home, attending organised pleasure rides, forest trips, XC schooling & some clinics. I will at times want to hack alone but will also hack alongside my young daughter on her (sometimes quirky!) horse, so it is especially important that I find a level-headed, trustworthy type who I can depend on. Due to us going out in our horsebox regularly, I would like to find a horse who is good to load / travel &, most importantly, who remains calm & polite to handle & ride in different environments.

Our horses are kept at home with us & have all year turnout (stabled overnight during winter). I would love to find a gentle natured, polite character & a true best friend type.

We live in a rural area & although we generally meet very little traffic, when we do, it is often likely to be a tractor/farm vehicle. Therefore, it is hugely important that my new horse is confident around this type of traffic.

A truly genuine, sweet mare with a heart of gold. Like many Welshies, she can be spooky and sharp at times, but has zero malice. She just needs a confident, reassuring rider. Once she trusts you, she tries her absolute hardest. She's fast and fun, but can be spooky too!

Jumping: She is a dirty stopper. This stems purely from a lack of self-confidence rather than nastiness. She has potential to jump up to 60/70cm but just lacks the confidence!

An absolute saint to manage; happily lives out 24/7. Can easily change rugs/fly masks in the field without a headcollar.

Good to load if given 10 minutes to process without being rushed. Travels perfectly and quietly, even on long trips (up to 4 hours).

Up to date on everything. Barefoot (trimmed every 6 weeks, great to do). Perfect for the Vet; not needle shy. Physio and saddle fitter done every 3-6 months. Dentist; Done annually (requires sedation). Clipping she can be a bit fidgety but fine if you take your time (will not allow her head to be clipped).

Floss is a much-loved pride and joy, only being sold due to the owner traveling. She is the perfect partner for a confident rider wanting to enjoy fun rides, hacking and have a blast up the gallops!

We've just done a riding holiday in the Lake District where she was a legend, fully understood the assignment! Quiet as anything stood in the beer garden then razzed up the hills on a big group gallop!

The honest bit: She is spooky, and requires a sure hand. If you’re not the dominant herd member she will take advantage of that! Has trouble loading (that being said when I was doing regular ground work we overcame this). Has been out of work so will need to be brought back to fitness. Needs a farrier who’s going to say hello to her first before they pick up her feet.

BUT if you can handle that she has incredible breeding and is smart as you could ask for. Gorgeous smart girl who rides from your seat and voice. Has attended ground work clinics and takes very well to that (have taught her things like auto-parking so when I raise my right arm she swings her hind towards me to make it easier to mount). Was trained western so has incredible buttons that translate well to English dressage. I have hacked, jumped and schooled with her. Proper red headed mare who is loyal as all get out once you bond, I ride her easily bareback and bridleless around the farm. She has been used as a lesson horse and carted youngsters around when led. There’s nothing nasty or malicious about her, she just likes routine. shes likes company when in the stable,again nothing nasty just box walks.

She does have some scaring along her back leg and hind aswell as a sarcoid. Neither of which are bothering her in any way currently.

A genuine sale as I just don’t have the time, finding the right home is far more important than a quick one.

She would be fantastic young persons prospect.
