Classy, 2011 Warmblood bay gelding standing at 17.2HH. This chap has been there, done it and got 7 T-shirts.

A seasoned hunter who will cross any country, as scopey and as brave as they come, an expert over a hedge, rail or ditch, he’s hunt fit, has been out all season.

Aladdin previously did showing in his younger days, he then got a field blemish on his hind fetlock meaning he then went on to do riding club, showjumping, XC and hunting.

He is schooled to perfection with extremely comfortable paces, and would easily do a dressage job, he’s very safe, rideable and uncomplicated. He’s a chilled out and laid back type, will hack all day on his own or with others on the buckle, just a complete gentleman, even in the most heavy of traffic.

Aladdin is a kind horse on the ground, mannerly to handle and do. He will jump the moon and gives you 10 out of 10 every time. Not just a seasoned hunter but a brilliant allrounder.

One of the main issues that RDA groups face is finding an Equine to suit the needs of the participants in their group.

We are regularly contacted with offers of Equines that are ‘the ideal RDA horse or pony’ when actually what is ideal for one group may not be for the next. We are trying to move away from the stereotypical view that RDA Equines are elderly and somewhat static, our horses and ponies need to be fit, healthy and athletic to cope with the lifestyle in an RDA group.

They can range from smaller, forward going ponies to weight carrying cobs and can take part in a range of disciplines from Riding to Carriage Driving, Vaulting to Show Jumping and Endurance.

If you contact an RDA Group about your Equine please be prepared to fill in an Equine Initial Interest Form which will ask you many questions about your horses’ temperament, health history, experience and lifestyle. Many groups will prefer to have an equine on trial to make sure they are suitable for the job.

For long term loans and purchases they will also be required to have a Pre-Purchase Examination.

Temperament is very important and must be good to handle by multiple people. We offer our horses a variety in their life, mostly involving hacking and fun days out. We don’t have an arena onsite so ability to hack is a must. Herd turnout, with work rotation so horses get a large amount of rest days. Welfare and care are our upmost priority, 5* home with lots of love and care.
