Ride & Drive. Percheron X

  • Been hacking, doing farm rides, arena work & popped a few small fences

Atlas is broken to ride & drive. He has been used on farm chain harrowing etc & more recently has been hacking, doing farm rides, arena work & popped a few small fences.

Good in open spaces and snaffle mouth. Jumping and arena work are new to him and he is still quite green in both.

Good to box, shoe, clip & good in traffic. Hacks alone/in company. Currently living out 24/7 but also happy to be stabled one end of the day.

Atlas enjoys his work and is a fun chap to have around. Due to him still being green in arena and jumping he is not suitable for novices.

Looking for a kind, knowledgeable home. Has very mild sweet itch which is manageable with a rug.

Can be seen at livery with good trial facilities.

Up to date with vaccinations & teeth. Open to vetting.

From the estate of the late Sue ‘Daisy’ Sadler, owner of Sydney’s ExPloditions, based near Banbury, north Oxfordshire.

Fifi and Colette, rising 16 and 12 respectively. Both 16 hh, they’re not directly related, but we’re told have been together all their working lives.

Both born and bred in Southern France, they moved together to south Belgium in 2018.

Acquired by Daisy via her old friends at Stal Talpe in Belgium in Oct 2023, they proved to arguably be the easiest pair Daisy had ever had the pleasure of working.

They both come with fully stamped French passports, and will be fully vaccinated before sale. They have both settled well to working with our farrier Joe Bell, and will have their tungsten tipped shoes fitted in early April.
Classically amiable, docile and so easy to handle, they happily live and box well together. They both willingly take a saddle, though Daisy’s failing health meant we’d yet to ride them.

Can be demonstrated by Daisy’s driving colleague Sam, who took Daisy on her waggon to her final resting place in November.

Daisy’s husband Josh is on a promise to Daisy’s memory to find them a good home, so no dealers please, though commission paid for a successful introduction. Any vetting welcome.
£16,000 ono.

NB. A new home is also needed for all Daisy’s waggons, harness, and everything else accumulated from 30 years of working and travelling with heavy horses. Contact Josh, Tel or WhatsApp +44 (0)7711 331911. Email: joshsadler911@icloud.com

Merrijohn Boris - Exceptionally kind Suffolk Punch gelding

Ref #: 402458
  • Professionally broken for riding and to harness
  • Steady and sensible temperament
  • Correct, compact Suffolk type suitable for showing or agricultural turnout
£4,000
  • Suffolk Punch
  • Chestnut
  • Gelding
  • 11 years
  • 16.2 hands
  • Professionally broken for riding and to harness
  • Steady and sensible temperament
  • Correct, compact Suffolk type suitable for showing or agricultural turnout
Boris is an exceptionally kind, steady and gentle gelding with a genuine, calm temperament. He has been professionally broken to both ride and drive and is a straightforward, mannerly horse to handle and be around. He has not been in regular work recently due to lack of time and would benefit from a gradual return to work.

He lives on a working farm and is accustomed to heavy machinery, daily activity and turnout alongside a busy road. Boris has excellent manners on the ground, is easy to catch and handle, and is calm and cooperative for the vet and farrier (currently barefoot).

He has clean limbs, correct conformation and is true to Suffolk Punch type. Boris would suit a variety of roles including ridden work, harness work or a knowledgeable home looking for a dependable heavy horse partner.

Up to date with worming, vaccinations and teeth. Happy living out or stabled and mixes well with other horses.

Boris is closely bonded with Bunny (also advertised). Ideally we would like them to remain together as they are well matched in temperament and companionship. A combined price of £11,000 would be considered for the pair.

This decision has been made with careful consideration - Boris has been in the same home since being a foal and is a much-valued member of the farm.

Best suited to an experienced home familiar with heavy horses and with appropriate facilities and grazing. Homes will be carefully considered.

Currently living out 24/7 un-rugged in winter condition.

Saddle, bridle, harness, plough gear and horse plough available by separate negotiation.

Cornwall, South West.

A True Irish Gentleman!

Ref #: 402640

  • Needs to find his forever home
SOLD!
  • Irish
  • Black
  • Gelding
  • 16 years

  • Super Nature and attitude
  • Loveable, safe and quiet
  • Needs to find his forever home
Rocky is a 16-year-old black Irish Cob with a kind, gentle nature. Before his ridden career he was driven, which has helped shape him into a very sensible and reliable horse.

He would be ideal for a family home looking for a safe, easy horse to enjoy hacking in the countryside, beach rides, and relaxed days out. Rocky is calm, affectionate, and a pleasure to handle.

While he will work in the school, it is not his favourite environment. However, with consistent work and patience, he is likely to become more comfortable there over time.

Rocky has no known vices, no health issues, and is sound with clean limbs. He is easy to manage in all ways – good to load and travel, good with the farrier, clipping, and the dentist.

He is being sold on behalf of a client due to a change in personal circumstances, and this is a genuine and sad sale as Rocky is a much-loved horse.

Rocky is a true gem with plenty to offer the right person. Viewings and vettings are welcome.
