HAB Grand Couleur is available at stud with chilled and fresh semen available.
Colour is the ideal sire to add height to ponies, provide agile eventing and allrounder foals from sports horse mares or produce competitive endurance horses.
He is an ideal choice for a discerning breeder seeking to reduce inbreeding and associated health concerns, increase blood and stamina, and produce trainable offspring across the disciplines.
Under saddle he demonstrates a confident and calm character and an admirable work ethic, riding alone and in the company of mares or geldings with equal amounts of focus and cooperation. He has an athletic, careful jump showing good technique and an ability to jump to the requirements of the fence, neither jumping too exuberantly or with too little enthusiasm. He covers the ground effortlessly and doesn't like to waste energy by being over excitable!
He brings to the UK an excellent competition history in endurance.
In 2015 he was licensed at the ZSAA with distinction as premium stallion and reserve winner of the licensing from all breed groups. He then completed his stallion performance test in Marbach, winning despite being the youngest and smallest stallion.
Subsequently he attained several stallion performance test successes in endurance classes.
He retired sound from endurance competition in 2024, with ten years and over 2000km on his record.
Couleur has successful offspring in Europe including a licensed stallion with a competitive driving career. and almost without exception, he has produced premium foals from very different mares and breeding associations.
