Safe Sound Wonderful School Master

Safe Sound Wonderful School Master

Ref #: 324687
  • Safe / Not Spooky / Balanced
£10,000
  • Welsh Section B
  • Bay
  • Gelding
  • 14 years
  • 13.2 hands
  • Safe / Not Spooky / Balanced

We have owned sweet Sid for just one year and he has been an absolute super star. The sweetest kind natured pony. He’s patient, easy going and safe!

Safety was a big deal for us when we were looking for Sid, my daughter had had her confidence knocked before, so it was of the utmost importance to find a pony that helped her progress her confidence gradually whilst maintaining safety and Sid has given her this in bucket loads.

Sid is a real school master, a bit more of a second pony than a first, as he’s not a kick along but he is a snaffle mouth, not strong at all and very responsive to the aids. Although he could be a first in some respects, as he would be a fantastic lead rein pony, as he is so good to lead and lunge and someone could learn to ride on him on the lunge, as he is so well balanced.

He has super at grid and pole work, very eager to please, lovely on the flat and will do a lovely dressage test and his flat work is well established and he is excellent at flying changes.

He is safe reliable, trustworthy and such a confidence giver. As I’ve mentioned, he’s a little more forward than a first pony but he does take his lead from his rider, so can step it up or down if necessary.

We have schooled him many times around the cross country this summer, as we have great facilities where we are. He’s good with water, ditches, bold and brave and has brought my daughter from a nervous beginner at cross country, to jumping courses of fences at 70 & 80cm, with my daughter oozing confidence.

Sadly our daughter needs to move on to a bigger 14.2, as she is growing like a weed. So this is a very sad sale. Sid has given my daughter so much & she has come on leaps and bounds since having him but like all these stages in riding, kids just want to keep moving forward, so it is time for our lovely Sid to find a new home to help out another progressing young rider.

He’s good to clip, load, will stand quietly and happily at shows tied to the box with no fuss. Good stable manners. Up to date with vaccines and worming.
Loves to hack out and good to hack alone or with company.

He’s competed at shows with us & with our school team events at Hickstead, Rectory Farm etc.. Jumping clear at 50/ 60 / 70cm.

Been happily off to summer camp for a week and was easy to travel and be away with. He really is such an easy, good boy.

At home he is schooling at 85/90cm regularly.

We are obviously looking for Sid to go to the kindest home , where we know he will be treated with care and be loved as much as we love him. His previous home, had him for about 2 years and he was ridden but a younger rider. Whom we are still Intouch with. Videos and more pictures available on request. All enquires to our coach Laura.

  • Beautiful paces
  • Loads of scope
  • Super easy ride, snaffle mouthed

Stunning 2016 black mare standing at a full up 15hh.

Princess is a kind, sweet and loving little mare, so affectionate on the ground and adores people.

She has three very comfortable places on the flat, snaffle mouthed and she rides bigger than her size, she will work nicely in all 3 paces, offering an uphill ride with plenty of presence.

Princess enjoys jumping, we have jumped her up to 110cm and she shows plenty of talent, she isn’t bothered by cross country / rustic fences or coloured showjumps, she’s keen to please. Princess is a safe ride, uncomplicated and wants to get it right.

She is the most lovely hack, alone and in company (isn’t any different) and is super in open spaces, heavy traffic, farm machinery etc

A brilliant Allrounder who’s kind and easy.

Open to any vet or trainer £7500 trial period available

DO YOU HAVE A HORSE OR PONY SUITABLE FOR THE RDA?

WANTED ON LONG TERM LOAN / PURCHASE

Ref #: 249896
  • If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below
  • If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below

One of the main issues that RDA groups face is finding an Equine to suit the needs of the participants in their group.

We are regularly contacted with offers of Equines that are ‘the ideal RDA horse or pony’ when actually what is ideal for one group may not be for the next. We are trying to move away from the stereotypical view that RDA Equines are elderly and somewhat static, our horses and ponies need to be fit, healthy and athletic to cope with the lifestyle in an RDA group.

They can range from smaller, forward going ponies to weight carrying cobs and can take part in a range of disciplines from Riding to Carriage Driving, Vaulting to Show Jumping and Endurance.

If you contact an RDA Group about your Equine please be prepared to fill in an Equine Initial Interest Form which will ask you many questions about your horses’ temperament, health history, experience and lifestyle. Many groups will prefer to have an equine on trial to make sure they are suitable for the job.

For long term loans and purchases they will also be required to have a Pre-Purchase Examination.

If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below.

Teenagers dream who loves to jump and is a brilliant all-rounder

Ref #: 323825
  • Very competitive up to 1m courses
  • Done SJ, areana eventing, dressage including Team Quest
  • Jack has the best temperament you could wish for!
£12,500
  • Welsh Part Bred
  • Blue and white
  • Gelding
  • 11 years
  • 15 hands
  • Very competitive up to 1m courses
  • Done SJ, areana eventing, dressage including Team Quest
  • Jack has the best temperament you could wish for!

Jack is a stunning 15h 11 year old Welsh x blue and white gelding. He is believed to be Welsh x Connemara and is very Connie in type as well as his love for jumping, but the Connemara isn’t recorded. He is a very smart chap with a kind generous eye and full of quality. He is the perfect middle weight stamp with a nice amount of bone without being coby. He is the ideal size for teenagers/ mother daughter share or adults. He has excellent conformation, clean limbs, straight movement and is blemish free. Jack is the ultimate proven alrounder with a real love for jumping- he would jump every day if he could!

Jack is a real clock work jumper who jumps every time no matter what stride he is on, he just never says no. He really does love his jumping and goes round with a smile on his face looking for the next jump. He’s very competitive up to 1m courses and has also jumped fences up to 1m10 and just pings over. He is very neat and tidy over a fence, really tucking his legs up and it’s very rare he ever touches a pole. He is forward going into his jumps and nicely takes you to each fence maintaining a good rhythm around a course. He is very light in the hand; never getting strong. He has done lots of SJ competitions and is always in the ribbons as is fast against the clock combined with going clear. He has also done areana eventing too which he loves. He would be amazing at BS and can start from the bottom as he has only jumped unaffiliated with his current owner of 5 years due to her preferences. He would also be a great schools team jumping horse and pony club/riding club. He is that sort that everyone wants.

Jack schools very nicely on the flat with three super paces and real ridability. He works in a natural outline between hand and leg. He does need a little bit of leg for flatwork to get the best out of him. He knows leg yeilds and walk to canter. He is very sensible and always puts his full into everything he does. He loves to please and just loves to have a job to do. He has done lots of unaffiliated dressage at preliminary and novice as well as Team Quest. He gets good scores and lovely comments from the judges. He would happily do some BD and work through the levels but would appreciate some jumping to go with this as this is his love.

Jack hacks out alone and in company, he’s done more hacking in company. He’s very good in traffic including lorries and motor bikes ect. He’s bold and confident and not the looky spooky sort. He also loves a good canter and had cantered along river banks and through forests. He’s just a little more switched on when he hacks alone but doesn’t do anything wrong. He has done some pleasure rides too which he has enjoyed.
Jack has the best temperament you could wish for! He’s friendly, interactive, kind and loving. He loves to be with people and be centre of attention. He is exceptionally well behaved to do everything with him including clipping, showing, catching, leading, loading, grooming, bathing. He’s just Mr easy. He will make someone a ‘best friend’ on the ground as well as a real fun competitive ride! He lives in and out, turns out individually or with others and is just a pleasure to have on the yard.

This is an extremely sad sale of my clients horse of 5 years. He will only sell to a 5* home where he will get to do lots and be kept busy. He is only for sale due to increased family commitments meaning his owner just isn’t getting the time to take him out like she used to. He really would make the ultimate teenagers dream, as well as a mother/daughter share, he would also suit an adult wanting to BS and BD as well as a pony club and riding club home. He is not a novice ride but is a very fun genuine second horse type. Lots of videos available.

Based in Ramsey on sales livery. Please call Katherine on 07460820294

Confidence giving Allrounder wanted

  • 5* home in Oxfordshire waiting

Wanted for a young adult, experienced rider rebuilding confidence after a bad fall:

  • Mare or gelding, 14.2hh - 15.3hh
  • Age range 6-12yo
  • Breeds: adore IDs! But cobs and Connemaras are also welcome. Temperament is paramount.
  • Something sane and safe, no rearing or bucking. Good ground manners, ok to be turned out with geldings and mares.
  • Allrounder- must be ok to hack alone, be good in traffic and open spaces. Needs to school well and pop a small jump (60-70cm max as I’m not a confident jumper). I’m very much a riding school rider and so unable to take on anything green and I’m looking for something that will help me to continue building confidence and improve my skills- that will be forgiving if I get things wrong.
  • Nothing that’s super sensitive and responsive to the aids, I’d rather something that I have to work harder to get going, than something I have to keep trying to stop. I have had an accident with a horse bolting with me so this is really important.

Good budget available and a 5* home in Oxfordshire waiting. Please text/ WhatsApp me if you have something that might be a good match.

Thanks!

They have attended all PC activities and have been awarded “ star of the future “ and “ best pony”.

Coona is the easiest, nicest, most talented little horse. She has given us endless fun and so many special moments and is only for sale because my daughter is now ready for the next level and we feel that at such a young age. Coona could be giving another special person a wonderful education.

Queensdown Safari, aka Leo. Welsh X New Forest 2010 Gelding.

If unicorns existed Leo is the closest you would get, he is genuinely a legend. He loads and travels as quiet as a mouse in anything. Perfect for the farrier, dentist, vet, physio & to clip ( you don't even need a head collar on). Lives either in or out with mares and geldings. No stables vices at all and he has never reared, bolted, bitten or kicked. Leo hacks alone or in company. He has won numerous local shows and dressage competitions, he could do a family pony on the Saturday & get a decent % in Elementary on the Sunday. He is over stamped with CHAPS & TGCA and a life height certificate.

The dressage points he has accrued has been achieved in just under two years - 96 Prelim, 88 Novice & 8 Elementary - 192 points. Here are just a few of the competitions he has been selected for:

- Prelim Bronze Area Festival Finals
- Area Festival Finals at Hartpury
- Senior Inter Regional Teams X 4
- Area Festivals at Novice
- Area Regionals at Prelim Silver
- Kent Teams
- Associated Championship Prelim Silver
- Senior Home International Team

Also he has been very successful in Ridden Showing at County Level Winning Part Bred Traditional & Coloured Classes and too many local wins to list!

Leo is very clever, loves to learn, loves to show off and loves to please. The best home only as little horses like him don't come around very often. His next home will need to be one that will keep his brain active and continue with his potential. He will not just go to a happy hacking home and he is NOT for novices. He will be an awesome candidate for veterans in a couple of years and possible HOYS potential. No loans, no LWVTB and no payment plans so please do not ask. He will come with his fully fitted dressage saddle & bridle.
