I am looking for a kind genuine horse to be my best friend for hacking, low level dressage, fun rides and a yearly holiday to the beach. Home for life awaits on a small private yard where horses are treated as individuals. Experienced owner who can provide references and is happy to keep in contact. 

The main priority is that my new horse is super safe to hack both alone and in company across the fields and out in traffic. I am looking to do Novice Dressage but happy to put the work in. 

Would also consider something stepping down. Horse should be 16hh+ and age 6 years plus unless very sensible. No vices and open to a vetting. Ideally a MW Irish type - ISH/ ID/ Cob X etc that can cope with a few days off without any drama. 

As not to waste anyone's time I have a budget up to mid teens but this does depend on the horse.

I am searching for a trustworthy, best friend type to welcome to our kind, knowledgeable, family home. Our horses are treated as part of our family & they receive the absolute best of care. I would be happy to provide references & to keep in touch.

I have ridden for several years & consider myself a knowledgeable & capable rider. However, due to ongoing health issues with my horse, who is now retired, I haven’t ridden as consistently in more recent years & so I am no longer as confident as I once was. Therefore, I am seeking a laid back, best friend type, who does not need riding most days to remain safe & sane (realistically, I will generally ride 3-4 times a week).

We will be enjoying fun hacks from home, attending organised pleasure rides, forest trips, XC schooling & some clinics. I will at times want to hack alone but will also hack alongside my young daughter on her (sometimes quirky!) horse, so it is especially important that I find a level-headed, trustworthy type who I can depend on. Due to us going out in our horsebox regularly, I would like to find a horse who is good to load / travel &, most importantly, who remains calm & polite to handle & ride in different environments.

Our horses are kept at home with us & have all year turnout (stabled overnight during winter). I would love to find a gentle natured, polite character & a true best friend type.

We live in a rural area & although we generally meet very little traffic, when we do, it is often likely to be a tractor/farm vehicle. Therefore, it is hugely important that my new horse is confident around this type of traffic.

* I do appreciate that no horse is ‘perfect’ & that ‘bombproof’ does not exist & I am open to compromise, but please do just be honest about any possible known ‘issues’ as I will not buy unseen & would want to have any potential horse vetted *

DESPERATLEY SEEKING - Looking for a genuine all-rounder event horse for a loving family home. A horse that will do BE, pony club, hacking, beach rides, and just generally having fun. Must have been out to competitions and a record would be nice.

Must be level headed nothing sharp/spooky. Needs to hack alone and in company. must be happy to be the lead horse as we already have a nervous hacker. Must be traffic proof.

Horses live at home with lots of turn out and stabling. With a varied life style.

Would be a forever home with a teenage girl and mother to enjoy just doing a bit of everything. We have a good support network with instructors.

Tom is an absolutely cracking, genuine and fun all-rounder — the sort that is very hard to find. He truly is as close to a unicorn as you’ll come across.

An experienced pony with miles under his belt in all spheres, Tom would make a fantastic Pony Club or Riding Club partner, and would equally suit a working livery, college or riding school environment. He has competed successfully at numerous unaffiliated competitions and takes everything in his stride.

On the flat, Tom works nicely in the school with attractive, comfortable paces. He produces a flying change and is happy working both in a soft outline or on a looser contact. He has a lovely way of going and would look right at home in the hunter/jumper ring in the USA — an extremely cute and eye-catching type who also schools beautifully on the flat.

Tom thoroughly enjoys his jumping, both showjumping and cross-country. He is honest, bold and genuine, happily taking his rider to a fence without being spooky or sharp. He’s forgiving of a missed stride, looks after both himself and his rider, and gives confidence.

Out hacking, he is excellent in traffic and sensible to ride alone or in company, and super in open spaces.

He is also a lovely pony to have around the yard — affectionate, cuddly and kind, with excellent stable manners.

Seeking my next perfect pony! Must haves between - 14.2h and 15.2h, between - 6 and 15 , although would change for the perfect one.

Needs to be within 2 and a half hours of Derbyshire. would go further for the perfect one

MUST be safe around traffic , farm machinery , farm animals ( as I live on a farm ), happy hacking , schooling , fun rides , smaller jumps , local shows - showing , dressage etc

All year round turn out on private land , living with a Connie gelding and mini Shetland gelding ( can be in separate field)

Massive stables roughly 4 times bigger than an average one ! videos and pictures can be provided

My preferred breed is a chunky traditional Connemara just because I love the breed so much my previous Connemara gave me so much but he is retired now , but would consider something else that fits the bill , but Connies really are my fav !

I previously had a bad accident with my last pony on the road with a tractor and my confidence is very low , it's very important that my next pony is very safe confidence giver. I am aware no horse is perfect but I don't want anything sharp or spooky and nothing that bolts , rears or bucks , strong etc

I would prefer no health issues but if it's something slight I will consider.
more must haves are good loading , good for farrier , dentist , for leading and for the vet.

I have had weekly dressage lessons for over a year and then monthly lessons with jumping the year before , spent a lot of time hacking ,before my accident. I have had horses for many years and was a competent rider until my accident where I lost confidence.

I am aware this is a lot to ask for but I know somewhere they must be one for me :) genuine 10 star home awaits thanks !

Lottie (Brynithon Red Clover)

Outstanding 15hh, 16 year old (this time), TB x Section D mare.

Built for eventing, and with the perfect sports pony breeding, this girl is exceptional at everything she does.

She has been exceptionally well schooled, easily to Elementary but could well have a try at a Medium with some work. She has competed unaffiliated, including scoring 79% in a Novice test with us!

She has also been out eventing and showjumping, up to 1.10. She's jumping clears 90 SJ with absolute ease. She's been to a Cotswold Cup 80 with us and was awesome!

Anyone's hack in company, alone she's also fabulous but wouldn't suit a Novice as she takes confidence from her rider. She can be spooky when not ridden regularly, but we only had two spooky days and she was great to take out.

Overall, she would suit a share between a more confident rider and someone who wants to hack in company. We won't be selling her to a solely hacking home as this didn't suit her, she wants more work. She'd be ideal for a competent teen or competitive riding club home.

In a short amount of time the whole team here has fallen in love with her! She's a delight on the ground, but again doesn't want an anxious handler.

She's not a weight carrier, so lightweight riders only please.

Ideal horse would be a safe and genuine sort who has turned his/her hoof to a bit of everything with the quality to hold its own in a workers class (not top level showing).

Proven to be suitable for a child/young teen for PC activities, SJ, dressage, showing and hacking.

We can offer a kind and experienced long term home (younger siblings) with our other ponies and can offer a varied life and lots of love and attention from my three pony mad daughters.
