IMMYBROOK WELSH SQUIRE

Ref #: 408906
  • Placed top 3 at county shows
  • Won RDA championship classes
  • Successful at Working Hunter (2nd place Suffolk show)
£9,000
  • Welsh Section A
  • Palomino
  • Gelding
  • 10 years
  • 12 hands
  • Placed top 3 at county shows
  • Won RDA championship classes
  • Successful at Working Hunter (2nd place Suffolk show)

Squid is a 12h 10yr old welsh section a. He is a sweet pony who is easy to handle. He has three fantastic paces and is well schooled holding a consistent outline.

As well as his fabulous schooling, squid is a talented jumper and has been popping round 80cm fences at mine. He has competed up to 70cm in the riring with multiple placings.

Also, squid has been driven in his previous home however not by current owner.

Squid holds many qualifications and wins to his name. Proving him to be a successful pony in the competition ring and an experienced pony.

Here's some of his achievements to list:

Showjumping: lots of placings up to 70cm (with scope for more)

Workers: only did 3/4 classes but always placed 1-3rd including 2nd at Suffolk show

Dressage:
• Countless wins unaffiliated dressage (almost all intro tests as that’s all I could do) at many different venues, often scoring +70% with listed judges
• Riding club national championships qualifiers (area 14): 1st individual prelim, 1st pairs
• RDA regionals: 1st open grade 6 walk only (highest score of day about 74%)
• RDA national championships: 1st grade 6 walk only, class champion grade 6 (highest score), 1st freestyle. Scores over 70%.

Squid isn't a first pony however I believe he would be a lead rein if also ridden alongside a more competent rider and he loves his work. Squid is a forward pony but not nasty in any way.

Good to shoe, clip ect. (Currently barefoot has been shod in the past)

Very sad sale.
Our very special pony Rain 14hh is for sale
We have had Rain 4 years!

Rain is a Screwbald not a piebald!

My daughter had Rain at 9 years old taking her from starting her jumping journey to winning trailblazers 2025. Winning both her classes over the 2 days and class champion.

Rain can turn on a sixpence. She's a winning machine up to 75cm.
Rain can't jump any higher than this, we have tried but she loses her confidence.

She always comes out of competitions with red rosettes any height up to 75cm.

Rain knows her job well.
She has done everything, from beach rides, stay aways, xc, show jumping and pony club.
She excels at showjumping.
She hacks alone or in company.
She loads perfect and will stand all day long

In the 4 years we've had her I've never seen a marish bone in her body, she's the sweetest mare. Making it the hardest decision for me to let her go.

She's never sick or sorry
Sadly my daughter is now 13 and outgrown her.
Everyone falls in love with her
I would love her to go to a family where I could carry on following her journey and next chapter

Good to load, clip and shoe etc

Comes with full tack + saddle made to measure

  • Actively looking for the best Pony Club ponies
  • Some fabulous knowledgeable homes waiting
  • No fees for sellers

I have motivated clients looking for genuine, kind, quality and proven ponies to take part in all Pony Club activities.

The ponies I would love to hear about are those not needing to be advertised to secure a new home. There is no harm in finding out whether I know of a better home and match. Perhaps you worry about your child finding it upsetting seeing their old pony regularly at rallies etc - then selling out of area could be a better solution.

These are motivated buyers receiving guidance as to what will likely suit their child - not the timewasters regularly reported. In most cases homes are also knowledgeable: simply lacking in time to conduct a search themselves. Most will also wait for the right pony so if you are not ready to sell yet - that is not an issue.

There are some decent budgets available relative to age and medical conditions etc.

All leads will be handled with discretion. Please feel free to give me a call, drop me a WhatsApp or check out my Instagram page @unicornacademy.yorkshire_edit

  • Qualified HOYS in Open C's and coloured's 2025
  • Qualified RIHS 2025
  • Qualified LIHS semi final, BSPS champion of champions and TSR amateur of the year so far this year

Fantastic 6 year old, JMB of 137cm, registered Welsh section C gelding. Overstamped with CHAPS so also eligible for the coloured classes.

Carrot is very straight moving and has 3 uphill paces, never strong or silly and no lumps bumps or blemishes. Brilliant to catch, load bath etc and loves to be around people. Although he has already competed at HOYS in the open classes, he would make the most fantastic junior pony- he is well schooled and very well mannered, a real genuine pony. He is up to date with vaccinations, teeth etc. He is really sweet on a showground and takes it all in his stride, he only takes 5 minutes of working in and no bother at all. Travels on his own with no issues.

Carrot competed in only 8 shows in his first season last year, where he qualified for RIHS and HOYS in the open C's as well as qualifying for HOYS in the coloured class on his first attempt and competed in both his classes at the HOYS final.

This year he has been lightly shown so far and has collected his LIHS semi final ticket, BSPS champion of champions and TSR amateur of the year tickets.

We have not hacked Carrot, however he does not bat an eyelid at wagons and traffic on a showground. We have attended XC practice, where he shows great potential over a fence and would make a lovely WHP pony also. He passed a 5 stage vetting only 2 months ago and he is fit and ready to compete. Genuine reason for sale, through no fault of his own. Bridle and rugs included

East Yorkshire based, plenty more pics on request, viewing very welcome, please call to arrange viewing, home is more important than price for this kind and versatile lad.

EX RDA pony with more to give

Ref #: 401932

  • Gelding
  • 13 years

  • Bakeburn Will I Am
13-year-old New Forest Gelding | 14.1hh (may measure 14.2hh with shoes)

Bakeburn Will I Am is a quality New Forest gelding with an excellent temperament and genuine talent, particularly for dressage.
He has had only three homes in his life and spent eight years at Lambourn RDA from the age of five. The chairman of the RDA, who also runs Lambourn RDA, felt he was simply too talented to remain in that environment, which is why he came to us last year.

As you would expect from an RDA pony, his ground manners are impeccable. Under saddle he is willing and straightforward, works easily into a correct outline, and naturally offers flying changes without fuss. He is keen to jump—still green but enthusiastic—and while he enjoys cross-country and was not strong, dressage is where he truly excels and shows obvious ability.

He hacks out alone, although he has more confidence with an adult walking nearby, which is understandable given his background. He is very sensible in company. Despite his RDA experience, he can be a little spooky with new things, but never in a nasty way, and he ignores many things that other ponies might react to.

In the field he enjoys company. He is currently turned out with a field mate but has also happily lived next to another pony. He is not dominant, very laid-back, and easy for a child to catch.

He is only for sale because hunting does not suit him; it excites him too much and he will not stand when the field stops. This is no reflection on his temperament or rideability in other disciplines.

A genuine, kind pony with excellent manners and real talent, looking for a home to focus on dressage and all-round activities.

Ebony is a kind, calm, safe, and steady Irish Cob with a wealth of experience. She is a fantastic all-rounder, suited to a wide range of riders, whether you are looking for a confidence-giver, a happy hacker, or a horse to enjoy fun rides, beach outings, and low-level competitions.

She has a gentle, easy-going personality, low maintenance. She will stand quietly at the mounting block without being held, waits patiently in her stable even with the door open, and is never pushy or strong. Ebony is ideal for solo riders, competent novice, or someone wanting a calm and reliable ride.

Ebony has three balanced paces and rides beautifully on the flat. She is calm and relaxed but responsive to the leg when asked, very sensible and never spooky, silly, sharp or strong.
Ebony has spent the last 2 years in a professional riding school setting where she has been ridden by all levels of children and adults, from complete beginners on the lead rein, competent novice off the lead rein, intermediate and advanced level riders.

She absolutely loves jumping, and will happily jump a course of coloured and rustic fences, she has a lovely scopey technique and always helps out her riders if you come in on a bad stride, she is perfect for building up your confidence if you are inexperienced, nervous or need a horse to teach you the ropes, she participates in our in-house fun rides, jumping, cross country and low level dressage competitions.

She hacks out alone or in company. She is 100% safe in open spaces, does not pull, rush or get strong ,even after a canter or gallop, she will come straight back to walk on a loose rein.

She is excellent in traffic and is completely unfazed by extremely busy fast moving traffic including, double decker buses, articulated lorries, motorcycles, push bikes, prams, dogs, large farm machinery, she is not clingy with other horses, and will ride away from the herd without a second thought.

Ebony is excellent with the farrier (currently barefoot) equally happy to be shod, great to catch, load, travel, dentist and has no vices in the stable or field. She is happy to live in or out and is equally settled in a herd or on her own. She is currently turned out at night and stabled during the day but would adapt easily to full turnout or full stabling.

She does not need riding every day and can be left for weeks then be tacked up without needing to be lunged. Currently working 4 days a week.

She has never had laminitis, sweet itch, sarcoids, or any lumps or bumps, not marish or clingy, no vices, she passes our annual licence inspection, which is equivalent to a Stage 2 vetting.

Only for sale as we regularly rotate our horses giving them the chance to enjoy one-to-one attention in a private home.

We are looking for a forever loving home where she can continue to thrive.
Ebony is being sold on behalf of a working livery.

We have a few other horses and ponies also available.

Diamond a proven, legendary pony with talent and experience in all disciplines, safe and fun-loving for everyone from kids to grandparents!??

Diamond is a 14.1H 4yo Irish sport pony with plenty of experience as a well-loved family pony, as well as professional training. She has been a safe mount for everything from hunting and cross-country, bareback, hacking, showing, and jumping lessons with children aboard, and their grandpa.

She has phenomenal, consistent technique over fences and scope, would make an exceptionally talented show pony
Diamond does everything asked, from herding cows to showjumping with her ears forward. She is an extremely joyful and loveable character, and we know she will make a kid (and parent!) very happy.

She has plenty of experience hunting and proved very honest to water, drains, ditches, etc.

She is very quiet around machinery, cars, cows, and traffic. She is safe to hack alone or in groups

Diamond is not lazy or forward, she has three steady paces for a novice to learn on. She is unphased by rider errors and always goes in a loose ring snaffle. She never gets strong or excited even in new or hectic environments.

Diamond has been handled by many children and is easy for anyone of any age to groom, shoe, load, tie, bathe, catch, etc. She is very friendly and adores attention. She is not mareish in any way.

We believe Diamond is truly a one in a million pony. With her ability and experience, and quiet demeanour, she is genuinely a rare and versatile type who would suit a family with many kids learning to ride, or an individual looking for a safe, confidence building partner.

Diamond is open to any vetting. She has no lumps, bumps, or vices whatsoever

Fabulous private home awaiting 14hh (if chunky) to 15:2hh for lady rider.

Here are our MUST haves:

MUST be proven to be safe and bold in traffic along a country lane where everyone drives too fast!! including farm machinery and white van drivers!

MUST have been to some outings (in a trailer alone) where they have been calm and relaxed as I often go alone to events

MUST be sound and have NO health issues that affect ridden performance. (Please trot the horse up and assess lameness before answering!)

The perfect partner will mainly take part in hacking, riding around our fields, clinics, plenty of dressage and low level jumping/ arena eventing. (60cm ish only), riding club and pony club. Nothing sharp or silly, but needs a trainable brain as I enjoy learning and progressing. My ultimate goal is British Dressage competitions.

Needs to be a confidence given type, I am a capable and experienced rider but I am at the age I want to have a calm and enjoyable time riding.

Private farm home awaits the right pony. We have individual paddocks or the option of a friend, own stables available with other horses next to, and lots of experience and love await the right pony. Midlands area, but can travel if perfect match. Right price for the right pony Fingers crossed! X x

Sean is a much-loved and versatile pony who has done a bit of everything, including dressage, showjumping, cross country, fun rides, and stay-aways.

He is a forward-going ride, so would not suit a complete novice, but he is genuine and does not buck, bolt, or rear.

On the ground, Sean has a very laid-back temperament. He is happy to stand without being tied and is well-mannered for the farrier, dentist, and physio. He is also easy to load and travel.

I have owned Sean for 10 years, and this is a very sad sale due to work commitments, meaning I can no longer give him the time he needs.

He has previously had mild seasonal allergies during the spring/summer months, which are easily managed. He has also had arthritis in the past, which has been treated and does not affect his work.

A genuine, kind pony looking for his next loving home.
