  • Wonderful temperament, great with children and adults alike.
  • Genuine schoolmaster, ideal for young teenager that she can help step-up.
  • Great to hack, loves to jump and enjoys flatwork.

Stepol Northern Dancer ‘;DANCER’, beautiful bay 14.2hh allrounder, Welsh section D mare who loves to be active. 16 years’ old and a genuine schoolmaster, she is great with children of all ages and adults alike but would thrive with a young teenager that she can help step up. She is easy to groom and tack-up with an excellent temperament, great to hack either alone or in company, is good around cars, and loves to jump up to 1m comfortably and has occasionally jumped up to 1m20 single fences. She enjoys flatwork but does not have much experience in dressage, however, would make for a beautiful dressage pony.

She is good to travel, but can sometimes be reluctant to load if she does not travel regularly or is not familiar with box/trailer. She has been to multiple farm rides, non affiliated show jumping competitions, cross country events, arena hires and gallops and has thrived in all areas. She is not strong and has exceptionally good breaks so is only ridden in a snaffle with no flash required. She was also previously part of a Pony Club at a riding school.

For the last couple of years, Dancer has generally only been ridden for non-competitive pleasure but can easily be brought back up to a competing level.

She was bought for 11-year-old daughter and has done well with her for the 5+ years we have owned her, only deciding to sell due to a change in circumstances and time commitments. Dancer is a low maintenance pony, who typically lives out from March through to the end of October with no issues. She prefers life living out and only gets brought in at night during the winter months due to requirements of the livery she is on now but would be happy to live out all year round.

She has never bucked, reared, or kicked people during our ownership, however, does experience mild crib biting after she is given treats or is in the stable for prolonged periods, no health issues relating to cribbing have been identified by her vet.

Dancer has recently attended a lame clinic at Leahurst Equine Practice as she was displaying mild lameness in her left rear hock. Mild arthritis was diagnosed and treated with a steroid injection. Leahurst have monitored progress and Dancer has since passed a follow up vet check for use as an all-rounder. Potential buyer should be aware that she may require a further steroid injection in 12-18 months. Lame clinic notes and clinical discharge notes may be provided if required.

An absolutely wonderful pony ideal for first time or experienced owners alike.

THE PONY EVERYONE DREAMS ABOUT.

“Smirnoff Ice” is the pony everyone wants, very seldomly do ponies come up for sale/lease like this!!

Smirfy as we call him is an absolute legend, he’s taught my daughter so much and is the safest pony you will find, he does everything, he’s a champion Irish show jumper, jumping courses of 130/140 at his prime, he is still happy jumping a course of 100, he will jump much bigger and doesn’t stop at anything but he’s 25 years old so let’s give him a break!

My daughter has done everything on him, showjumping, eventing, X-country, hunting, beach rides, hacking alone or in company! You name it this pony does everything you want, he’s a pleasure on the ground to groom or be your best friend, travels really well and is a really clean pony in the stable too!!

Louie is a pleasure in all ways, can be handled by anyone on the ground, excellent to clip, shoe, lead, catch, bath, load and travel

He loves hacking alone or in company, is excellent in traffic and can be lead off another pony, mannerly in open spaces

Louie is a true snaffle mouth, never strong and would do a beautiful dressage test, he has established lateral work, currently working at novice level. He isn’t hot or sharp but is a substantial, well schooled and forward going pony, easy to home produce. He goes up or down the gears dependent on the jockey

He has the most amazing temperament, a true people pony that loves to please. The same if ridden every day or after a week off, doesn’t need much work before going in the ring.

Louie has contested LR/FR and Junior classes making him extremely versatile. A previous RI finalist in FR, Junior and open sections. Qualified HOYS in 2023 at his first attempt, now looking to make a little jockeys dreams come true

Whilst his main job has always been in the show ring, he would also be a lovely dressage or home pony

  • Bakeburn Will I Am

13-year-old New Forest Gelding | 14.1hh (may measure 14.2hh with shoes)

Bakeburn Will I Am is a quality New Forest gelding with an excellent temperament and genuine talent, particularly for dressage.
He has had only three homes in his life and spent eight years at Lambourn RDA from the age of five. The chairman of the RDA, who also runs Lambourn RDA, felt he was simply too talented to remain in that environment, which is why he came to us last year.

As you would expect from an RDA pony, his ground manners are impeccable. Under saddle he is willing and straightforward, works easily into a correct outline, and naturally offers flying changes without fuss. He is keen to jump—still green but enthusiastic—and while he enjoys cross-country and was not strong, dressage is where he truly excels and shows obvious ability.

He hacks out alone, although he has more confidence with an adult walking nearby, which is understandable given his background. He is very sensible in company. Despite his RDA experience, he can be a little spooky with new things, but never in a nasty way, and he ignores many things that other ponies might react to.

In the field he enjoys company. He is currently turned out with a field mate but has also happily lived next to another pony. He is not dominant, very laid-back, and easy for a child to catch.

He is only for sale because hunting does not suit him; it excites him too much and he will not stand when the field stops. This is no reflection on his temperament or rideability in other disciplines.

A genuine, kind pony with excellent manners and real talent, looking for a home to focus on dressage and all-round activities.

Top Class 148cm Irish Sports Horse Mare – Proven Foxhunter Winner including last weekend

Tori is a stunning 13-year-old Irish Sports Horse bay mare, standing on a lifetime 148cm measurement certificate. She is an incredibly scopey, careful and experienced competition pony with an outstanding record.

Just yesterday she won the Foxhunter at a recent show, ridden by a small 16-year-old girl, proving how genuine, rideable and competitive she is. Tori is exceptionally consistent and would be highly competitive at 90cm, 1m and 1.10m.

Competition Record Highlights:
• 826 BS points
• £1,770 in winnings
• Jumped Hickstead JC Final – placed 4th
• Multiple Foxhunter performances including a recent win

On the flat, Tori is very well schooled, balanced and established. She does have a bit of character and can be quirky, but with the correct rider she will be extremely competitive and will teach her rider an enormous amount.

She hacks out, though she does prefer company. In her past, she has also hunted regularly and proved herself to be an absolute machine over big hedges, even with a less experienced jockey—bold, brave and unstoppable in the field.

Breeding:
• Out of Harlequin Du Carel – excellent performance bloodlines.

This is a serious competition pony for a confident, competitive rider looking to move up the levels with a proven winner.

For sale as Sadly outgrown, this eye catching pony has been the perfect Mother/Daughter dream for 3 years. Safely and confidently taking her rider from 50cm to WINNING the Arena Eventing Championship at Chard and qualifying/ competing in the Pony Club Championships for eventing and showjumping every year and competing at the National Championships at Hickstead where they placed 4th. She is genuine and consistent.

There’s not a lot this pony can’t do. As well as being super competitive in showjumping and eventing, she loves to go hunting, she’s been a reliable Tetrathalon pony, fabulous on beach rides, 100% to hack, good in traffic and sensible in open spaces.

Dory is a lovely pony to deal with on the ground. She has great manners, is good to groom and tack up, great to clip, loads and travels well. She is a joy to be around.

Her kind, confident nature transfers to boldness in the jumping. She is very genuine and clever with her legs, able to jump from any stride. She isn’t spooky and really wants to jump. She will suit an equally up for it, competent little rider. We would love to see Dory go on and continue being a fabulous competitive allrounder.

Although her current home have never aspired to do BE, she absolutely has the quality to go BE/BS and has been jumping 90-100cm at home confidently, so has scope to compete at a higher level than 80cm if her next rider would like to!

  • Actively looking for the best Pony Club ponies
  • Some fabulous knowledgeable homes waiting
  • No fees for sellers

I have motivated clients looking for genuine, kind, quality and proven ponies to take part in all Pony Club activities.

The ponies I would love to hear about are those not needing to be advertised to secure a new home. There’s no harm in finding out whether I know of a better home and match. Perhaps you worry about your child finding it upsetting seeing their old pony regularly at rallies etc - then selling out of area could be a better solution.

These are motivated buyers receiving guidance as to what will likely suit their child - not the timewasters regularly reported. In most cases homes are also knowledgeable: simply lacking in time to conduct a search themselves. Most will also wait for the right pony so if you are not ready to sell yet, that’s not an issue.

There are some decent budgets available relative to age and medical conditions etc.

All leads will be handled with discretion.

11.2hh, 17-year-old pony looking for his next home.

A smart lead rein pony and a great jumper who loves having a job to do. He has completed Pony Club camps, attended numerous rallies, and has done plenty of showing.

With a previous owner he successfully competed in affiliated M&M workers with a bigger child, showing his ability and love for jumping.

He has also been out hunting on the lead rein and would happily go all day.

He is never sick or sorry and has been a fun pony to have around.

Unfortunately my daughter is still a little nervous and he is too much pony for her off the lead rein. Off the lead rein he can be forward and keen, as he enjoys getting on with his work.

Barney - What can I say about this pony?

If you are looking for a pony that will help restore your child's confidence or for a child just starting to ride, Barney is the one. He will take a child from jumping poles on the ground to 70 cm. Barney has a few different gears and will always do as he's asked, adjusting to the rider.

My daughter was at rock bottom with her confidence, but Barney and she grew together. They won the Leinster Championships, got placed 6th in the All Ireland inter provincials and he has jumped in almost every equestrian centre in Leinster. We trust him with our lives!

My daughter does everything with him, from bathing and tacking up to turning out, mucking out while he’s in the stable, and loading. She took him to pony camp and had a great time. Unfortunately, the time has come for us to find this one-in-a-million pony another rider, as we are ready to step up!

Serious enquiries only. Absolutely no dreamers or time wasters.

Barney will only go to the right home with the right family

Lovely little lightweight mini cob been ridden by a boy since he just turned 7, now his rider is turning 9 he has outgrown her as he is a big boy on her now and is also wanting to go in the bigger NSEA classes 85 and above on his new 13.2 pony.

A forward competition pony suitable for a brave little rider who wants to try and win.

Happy competing up to 80. Trained higher at home. Competed BS Club last year and qualified 60 and 70. Competed in 11 years and under 128 classes BS. Competed up to 75 arena eventing NSEA and won many classes.

Has won many classes too many to mention. Great pony to take on stay aways as so easy to do.

Not for a timid child as she is forward. Has done two years of pony club and pony club camps. Inc 7th out of 125 riders at the Pony club mini champs at 60cm with a 8 year old boy.

Been hunting once and jumped hedges however she was quite strong so not sold as a hunting pony. Hacking she is brilliant.

Has done Mini ODE's up to 60cm and won. Has also competed in a tetrathlon in the Beanie section and won.

For a child wanting a reliable 40-70 pony to start competing she is the answer.

Never bucked or reared but is forward. Would never do anything horrible on purpose. Heart of gold. Sadly My little boy is not little anymore and she would like a smaller rider again to teach.

Price includes tack and rugs.

Open to vetting.

Super to handle. Easy with the farrier, excellent with the vet routine jabs and teeth. Excellent in traffic. Brilliant around livestock. Easy to load trailer and lorry. Won't fret if a friend taken away at a competition. Lives in or out alone and in company doesn't get separation anxiety.

Brilliant with children on the ground, would never kick. Super in the field with other horses, isn't a bully never kicks or pulls a face. Never ever mare-ish

Liddyfield Lulu is a genuine mare offered for sale through no fault of her own, purely due to her rider moving onto horses.

She has competed successfully up to 1m unaffiliated showjumping, proving bold, careful and scopey. Lulu is brave over solid fences, happily goes through water, and has a willing, trainable attitude. She shows real potential as a Working Hunter / HOYS-type prospect with further production.

On the flat, Lulu is established and works in a correct outline with three balanced paces. She has recently started showing and has proven straightforward and mannerly. She is forward going but never silly or sharp.

An excellent hack — alone or in company. Good in traffic and unfazed by farm machinery. Experienced on both busy and quiet yards. Safe and sensible on farm rides and country lanes.
She would suit a competent, confident rider looking for a second or third pony to have fun and be competitive on. Not suitable as a first pony due to her being a forward competition pony.

Spring has been a wonderful pony for our family for the past two years since my daughter was 8.

She has turned her hoof to almost everything over the years.
SJ, XC, ODE, AE, PC, polo, hunting, barrel racing, hacking, fun rides, beach trips etc.

Although my daughter prefers less competitive activities, Spring is a talented jumping pony with plenty of scope. (As a petit adult, I have borrowed her a few times and won several 70cm classes, with scope for more with a smaller rider)

She is a fun forward 2nd pony best suited to a competent, confident rider and although she will step down and trot cross poles, she can be forward jumping and therefore would not suit a nervous, unbalanced first ridden jockey.

Good in traffic, she’s done all of the end of term school runs and is unphased by the kids coming over for a stroke or the busy environment.

Easy to keep and handle, barefoot with great feet. Up to date with Vacs

Never a day sick or sorry

Very sad sale due to rider favouring other interests.

Safe, confidence giving schoolmistress

Confidence giving, safe pony who will also step up for a more confident rider.

Scarlett does not fizz up away from home and always takes everything in her stride.
She has taken my daughter from being a nervous novice to being a confident rider who is out competing successfully in showjumping, working hunter, and dressage competitions.

She has won and been placed consistently in novice working hunter shows including championships and at prelim dressage. She qualified for the ncpa pony of the year show 2025 in novice working hunter. She is also currently first place in the junior prelim winter league dressage at Craven.

Scarlett happily jumps 80/90 as a single fence at home. Out competing she is happiest at 60/70.

Scarlett has done pony club rallies and lots of training clinics. Always impeccably behaved.

Scarlett is safe to hack alone and in company. She is great in all types of traffic and is safe cantering in open spaces and round farm rides.

She loves being pampered ad my daughter has always done everything with her by herself, including when out at shows.

Scarlett is definitely a mother's dream pony and a sort very hard to find. This is a sad sale but Scarlett is hopelessly outgrown.

Good to travel, shoe, clip and for the vet.

The 1st video shows Scarlett helping my daughter develop confidence and the 2nd video shows the progress they've made. Scarlett is happy doing either job!

Bonzo is a 13.2 welsh c.
He is sadly outgrown Bonzo is great pony loves to work loves to jump bold over a fence. He will school nicely and hacks on roads and open fields front or back. Good out at competitions and any outing.

He is a nice forward easy of the leg ride. He has taken his rider from jumping 40cm from her old pony to jumping 85cm+ at home and competing 75/80 at comps and will jump off any stride but he is now sadly outgrown Bonzo before she can step up. Bonzo will turn a hoof to anything and has done fun rides show jumping up the gallops xc pony agility and always try’s his hardest.

He is a lovely pony and easy to deal with on the ground great to deal with out at shows can be handed by children always a yard favorite. We have had him in a 7.5t and 3.5t and travels fine in both.

He has completed a lot including hicksted sunshine tour twice and he loved it and was great in the atmosphre and stabled overnight and was good.

He will happily trot around a 40cm or competitively go around 80cm and scope for more. He is always in the ribbons and never strong and silly.

He is the type you can give weeks off get straight on and be ok with.

Skye is every parent’s dream pony – a kind, level-headed mare with a wonderful temperament and a fantastic attitude to her work. She has the rare ability to step down a gear when needed for a less experienced rider, yet still step up when asked, making her an incredibly versatile and genuine pony.

Previously, Skye has successfully competed up to 80cm eventing and 90cm showjumping, showing plenty of scope for more. In recent years she has been owned and enjoyed by a 13-year-old girl, where she has proven herself to be the perfect second pony. She has been carefully and correctly produced, never rushed, and her education reflects this.

Skye is beautifully schooled, enjoys her work, and always aims to please her rider. She has the talent and attitude to turn her hoof to any discipline and always gives 110%.

She is also a pleasure to have around the yard. Skye:

Hacks alone or in company

Is excellent in traffic

Loads and travels well

Is good to clip, shoe, and bath

She has a lovely nature, is not marish, and enjoys plenty of fuss and cuddles. She is a genuinely kind, uncomplicated pony with lovely manners who will bring a huge amount of joy to her next home.

Skye has no vices. She does have sweet itch, which is easily manageable during the summer months.

A truly special pony who will make her next family incredibly happy — not one to miss.

Comes with a full wardrobe.

Open to vetting.
