Mr Pickle - Branston Pickle. Blue roan gelding 13.2 hands New forest /dales, 15 years young

- A very sad sale of a much loved pony who our family have had the pleasure of owning for four years and only for sale as daughter outgrowing him but he has really taught her to ride and made her a much more confident rider .

- A true allrounder who loves his work ,looks after his rider and is fun, we have done everything with him and compete him regularly. He is fit and sound

- He is part of an active pony club , competing on teams with great success . He has done rallies, lessons and stay away camps and always behaves beautifully.

- Pickle jumps at home 80-90 cm but competing we keep him at 70cM SJ and xc. He is forgiving of a bad stride and not worried by fillers etc .

- He also loves arena eventing and we have done well competing , coming in the top three every time .

- He would make a great NSEA pony

- Mr Pickles talent lies in the dressage arena , with 3 lovely and correct paces , getting placed in most outings and winning his first BD quest outing , lovely comments from the judges , working well laterally and has a lovely medium trot .

- Hacking he’s fun and my daughter takes him out alone , he hacks in company and is brave and bold .

- Easy to handle , good for farrier (shod all round with front pads ) and loves the physio, sleeps when clipped and loads easily , happy at shows , can live alone or in company .

- He is a second pony due to his experience and dressage talent , he loves his work so needs an active home with a family that like to vary things

- He will come with quality well fitted tack and his rugs.

- priority goes to active homes where he can be enjoyed

- £9,000 Ono please no joy riders or novices lots of videos on request

A heartbreaking sale due to financial circumstances. now looking to find a lovely forever home.

Whilst owning spot we have done lots of hacking, gallops, cross country, showjumping. i have endless photos and videos on request.

Spot is a full up 14,3 however has been registered into horse classes, proving himself and finding the striding easy as he qualified in the 1.05 just over week ago. even though he is small he rides like a horse. he can throw in a buck here and there usually when he's fresh or hasn't been ridden. ive had endless amounts of fun and he would suit someone who enjoys his character. he loves to jump and has the biggest personality.

Hes had my cousin who's never sat on a horse before walking around on his own and having a little trot. Taken me round 70,80,90 unaffiliated and been as good as gold. Spot is the type that knows he's at a show and will be on his best behaviour. Saying this he isn't a 1st pony type. He's a saint to hack, quiet to school as its not his favourite thing. however he loves to jump so would suit someone that likes to be taken to a fence. he is older now which reflects in his pricing however still has a lot of life left in him. he's good to do in all ways, clip, shoe etc

He can come with his tick at an additional price which includes a lovely personally fitted voltaire saddle and breastplate along with a ps of sweden bridal and all his boots etc

Toni is very sadly outgrown and looking for new little rider. We have had Toni for the last 2years and know her whole history. Toni is an absolute Schoolmistress in all spheres. Toni is super fun and forward going and gives her rider so much confidence. She is forward going so not suitable as a first pony or for very novice rider. Never hot, spooky or silly and very safe. Toni has given my daughter and her previous owners such confidence and the most amazing experiences. My daughter started riding her at age 10 and was a nervous rider to begin with but Toni always makes her rider feel so safe that quickly she became confident.

Toni has done everything; BS showjumping, NSEA, cross country, arena eventing, hacking, beach rides and all fun activities. Toni is perfect to do in every way, box, shoe, clip and has no vices. Up to date with teeth, vaccinations, worming & physio. She is absolutely adorable, very affectionate and loves people. In no way mareish.

Toni has had too many wins to mention in all disciplines and is very competitive in a jump off. Hickstead mini challenge champion at RIHS, winning PC areas showjumping trials team, Pyecombe arena eventing & NSEA Championship 75cm showjumping qualifier to name a few. Toni still has lots to give and we would like to find her a home to step down to jump competitively up to 75cm. Toni likes her stable in the winter at night and enjoys being turned out daily. Toni is a very special girl and will only go to the perfect home for her. She’s a much loved family pony and home is most important for us.

Toni will come with her tack & wardrobe.
Please get in touch for more information.

Oakley is a well mannered and fun pony he is truly a one off and we have had so much fun with him over the past three years. We have done Pony Club camp, show jumping, dressage, eventing and Work Hunter. There is nothing that he can't do and he always tried his best. Oakley is very mannerly always a pleasure to hack.

He would happily trot around a course of 30cm on a long rein if you lose a stirrup he will slow down and wait for you. He can also be competitively jumped around a course of 70/80cm. He has got the scope to go higher but this is the level my daughter has competed him to.

Oakley would make a great family share pony as can go up and down the levels without any fuss. He has great paces and has a good rhythm so scores well on a dressage test.

He is easy to do on daily basis and is currently turned out on a daily basis and stabled at night time. He is fit and ready to go and up to date with everything. Good to box, shoe and clip.

Oakley truly is a genuine pony and taught my daughter so much who came of a 12 hand pony. Only the best home will be sought as it is what he deserves. This is a very sad sale due to a change in family circumstances so please do not waste my time if you are not serious.

No leases or loans. To include all rugs and saddle/bridle

  • Showjumps, cross country, hunts, pony club, games
  • Willing, kind, brave, affectionate and genuine - a best friend

Absolutely devastating sale of Scrumpy (Thatchers Scrumpy Jack) our 13.1hh chunky pedigree New Forest Pony. He has been my daughter's best friend who has looked after and taken her from a complete beginner to consistently bringing home rosettes for showjumping, arena eventing, ODEs, Pony Club, local shows and so much more.

Qualified for ACE championship, BPS Arena Eventing challenge final, Sunshine tour and Trailblazers this year. All his adventures can be seen on instagram @t_scrumpy_j_2024

Scrumpy is perfect in every way. He is kind, gentle, genuine, reliable and always tries his best in every situation. We have done a bit of everything with him and he has provided us with hours of fun, trophies, sashes and buckets of rosettes.

He was a star at pony club camp this summer taking part in both junior camp at Craven Country ride and senior camp at Somerford Park. He did not miss a beat staying away from home and looked after my daughter who, at 10, was the youngest child there.

In June of this year we had a fab couple of days at Aintree as he had qualified for the ACE arena eventing championship.

Scrumpy is NOT a whizzy BS pony though. He is a steady Eddie who does what he needs to do but he can turn tight and turn in midair and save you if you miss your stride or head him at the wing by accident. He is very clever with his feet and always looks after his rider!

Scrumpy loves cross country and has been round Richmond and Northallerton jumping Hunter Trials, ODEs and Showcross.

In his spare time Scrumpy hacks alone or in company (often bareback) and is as bombproof as they come. He lives on a working farm so he's used to all machinery, sheep, cows and pigs. My daughter often hacks alone and I know he will bring her home safely. He will gallop through open fields and always pulls up with great brakes. Alternatively he will plod round on the buckle end.

Scrumpy loves the water and this summer on our pony glamping weekend he happily went swimming in the sea and enjoys the river at Smithies Bridge.

In his last home Scrumpy jumped unaffiliated and affiliated (BS Club and Schools BS number 432361) with a near perfect BS record at 60 and 70 (his happy zone) and has jumped all over the country including the David Broome Event Centre BS Winter Schools finals, the BS National Champs at Stoneleigh and even the Castle Arena at Bolesworth.

In a previous home Scrumpy was part of the pony club mounted games team although this is not something we have tried beyond playing games at home. Again he is steady away but learns quick and turns tight.

Scrumpy has also hunted with the Bloodhounds and was hoof perfect. We haven't done much dressage with him apart from the odd ode/local event - he can do a nice test it's just not our thing.

Scrumpy is great to handle in all ways even with tiny children. He comes to call in the field, is a delight to brush, tack up, load, travel (trailer or lorry) and for the dentist, vet and physio (up to date with everything). Great for farrier. Currently shod in front but has been barefoot previously with no issues. Never sick or sorry. Settles straight away at shows. He is extremely handsome and the perfect colour for those last minute running late dashes to Pony Club - he always looks smart and clean. He loves the clippers, he's preciously had stars and hearts. Lives in or out but does like time outside in the field with his friends.

No vices.

Is there a negative? He can be bossy in the field (he likes to be in charge of the herd) and he can, very occasionally, put in a tiny buck (more like a kick out) when he's feeling excited.

This is an extremely hard sale for us. He has enabled my daughter to progress much quicker than we ever expected and together with her ever growing legs means she needs to move onto a 14.2hh. Although we are not keen to part with him we think it is unfair not to allow another child the opportunity to love him.

He passed a five stage vetting with us in October 2022 and this, together with vet history, is available if wanted.

Scrumpy will only be sold to a perfect home - ideally with younger siblings who can take over the reins and provide him with a long term home. I will require references and videos of the children riding.

I can provide references to anyone about Scrumpy from any source required, previous owners, yard owner, pony club, trainers, judges etc. He is well known locally and at pony club.

I will also need to be able to keep in touch with him after the sale (as will previous owners - he has quite the fan club!).

Sold with his full wardrobe. No loans, leases. Loads of videos and pics on Instagram @t_scrumpy_j_2024

She would easily home produce. Extremely straightforward, beautifully schooled, impeccable manners, big moving pony, no quirks. Hacks out alone or in company, good with traffic, farm machinery, farrier, teeth , travel etc. Lightly shown this season through no fault of her own. Can be seen & tried with Sophie Curry .

Heartbreaking sale of this wonderful pony but complete change in circumstances now forces sale.

ARCHIE - Beautiful registered Dales pony standing at 14.2hh this 2019 gelding takes up the leg massively, he’s a traditional type, a very happy chap and he loves people.

Archie has three comfortable paces on the flat, he has been out and done some dressage, including indoor. He’s also done some low level riding club activities.

Archie is extremely safe, despite his age he’s very much an old head on young shoulders and he will take care of his rider.

He’s confidence giving, fun and easy. He rides in a snaffle at all times, does a lovely test, bold when it comes to jumping over rustic and coloured fences and will always go, he is very patient and forgiving of his rider.

Archie is superb to hack out alone and in company, isn’t bothered by large oncoming traffic, and will go in busy environments, he’s based on a working farm so he is very much used to the big stuff. He’s super in open spaces and will go in front of behind.

A very easy chap, lovely stamp and will on and do any job. He’s a happy boy to have in the yard, and will definitely put a smile on your face. Open to any vet or trainer

If you have a young jockey that can ride, here is your boy. He is fun, forward and jumps extremely well. Likes to buck, so if your child can't sit a buck he's not for you. A true character, always gets noticed when out and about with his expressive technique.

He is 17 years young with loads to offer his next rider. Been in a family home, done his job for this lovely family.

Really is a competitive type. Not sharp, you can put your leg on and he does have breaks, but I reiterate, he bucks when he's excited.

14.1, 12 year old Cob x Connie, confidence giver

Spike is my daughter’s world and we will be very upset to see him go, but he needs to go and find another jockey to have fun with/build confidence!

Spike was brought to build my daughter’s confidence when it was at rock bottom. He has more than done that! We want to find the best home so this is completely an honest advert and sale to get the perfect match.

* Definitely more woah then go!
* Great to hack out, you can ride him on the buckle end, not phased by any traffic, flappy bags, helicopters flying over, cows/sheep etc. happy to have a canter and a gallop in company always pulls up
* Snaffle mouthed at all times.
* Great to catch, greats you at the gate, whether turned out alone or in company
* Good for farrier, currently shod on fronts
* Enjoys show jumping, my daughter has been doing 60cm classes on him and has qualified for the sunshine tour. Has jumped a single fence of 90 but he is no world beater
* Loves cross country! Recently took part in team chase which they thoroughly enjoyed, remaining sane and sensible jumping 50/70 fences!
* Travels fine alone or in company, never any different in a show environment
* Easy to deal with in stable, lead (he will follow you like a Labrador), tack up etc etc.
* Yard favourite, very easy to deal with
* Good to be clipped
* Good to bath
* To load, he prefers a 3.5t but loads into trailer within a few minutes if alone or straight away with another. Travels like a dream. We currently travel in a trailer, mostly alone.
* He has taught my daughter how to actually ride! If you sit there and don’t do anything he won’t do anything, you do need to ride him, he won’t do it for you.
* He has historically had laminitis (never with us), this is easily managed with a muzzle and soaked hay.

We really want to find the perfect match. He is only for sale as my daughter has outgrown him (ability and size) so now is the time to try and find his perfect partner. He really is worth his weight in gold!

Ideal for a child to build confidence and have fun on or an adult wanting to hack/low level dressage. He is being schooled and showing some hidden talents in this area!

Serious enquiries only! Based Derbyshire.

She is a great favourite and enjoys all her lessons whether it be a slow lesson, flat work, jumping or hacking. She goes nicely forward but has great breaks.

She enjoys her jumping lessons, is great over all the fillers including our arena eventing fences, and is a real super star. She is a super hack. She mainly hacks in company in the middle of the ride but is happy to go in front or by herself. She is great in all traffic.

Ruby has a super, laid back temperament, well mannered with a heart of gold, she is a lovely confidence giver and very tolerant.

She is very quiet to groom and tack up etc...

Fantastic to hack in the heaviest of traffic alone and in company, perfect in open spaces / cows and sheep.Steady ride , always snaffle mouthed , doesn’t get silly and sharp ... has a balanced canter.

Ruby loves X country , bold and brave to jump and steady -jumps on and off banks, ditches , in water etc.. stands while you get on , she is a true Schoolmistress .

She rides nice and light in the school and never gets strong and you can put a lot of leg on her , she just wants to please.

You can ride Ruby bare back , the kids jump on and of her all the time in the stable , such a fun cob.. jumps show jumps well and very honest.

These types of cob are hard to find , she is one in a million! Super safe !

She has been in Ireland and been part of a family on a farm doing unaffiliated jumping with a young girl.

She would suit a happy hacker/riding club/lead-rein/ pony club/riding school sort of homes ...

Ruby is very polite on the ground , love fuss and attention, she loves my children riding and handling her , very sweet and well mannered with little people.

Perfect to load on lorry or a trailer and will wait patiently on the lorry. Good to shoe/catch/bath/load-etc... No vices.

Doesn’t need riding everyday, lives out or happy to be in ..

She is a lovely girl to have on the yard.

Looking for a 5* home for this special horse!

These sort of cobs are hard to find.

He is a lovely person, loves life and has a real lets get going buzz about him.

He has been there and done everything and enjoys a varied life, lots of hacking, adventures, schooling and loves to jump.

Has had lots of success Showing, SJ, Whp and Dr ( qualified Pc Dr regional champs 23 & 24 ) also been to pc camp last 2 years.

Duncan has the wow factor and really shines in the show ring, the judges love him!

During the 18months we have owned him he has taught my daughter a tremendous amount and really turned her into a very neat and competent jockey.

Good to hack, shoe, box clip etc. Lives on a busy working farm so used to big farm machinery.

Best suited as a 2nd/3rd pony as he is forward going with an engine so not suitable for a nervous/ inexperienced jockey.

Super smart 12.2hh gelding who really knows his job and has enjoyed all PC activities inc Camp.

He is super on the flat, responsive but not sharp to the aids and produces a good dressage test. Jumping he is rhythmic and very straight forward. Has taken his current rider from x poles to 60cm. He has given her confidence to canter into fences, but if needed he just trots and pops. Together they have been placed SJ , Won an PC mini Show X and XC schooled where he happily pops a small course inc banks, ditches, loves water.

He has stepped down for my daughter, In his previous home to us he excelled in PC Games and represented his branch on the Junior Team at Area and Zone competitions with many successes.

He hacks out alone or in company, we are based on a busy farm and he is used to all the farm traffic and machinery as well as being super sensible to hack on the roads. Hes quiet to do everything with on the ground, for a child to groom and bath.

He is a versatile pony, has been great on the lead rein or would be a 1st/ 2nd pony with a competent rider to compete.

All tack and rugs included.

Best home needed for best boy!

Absolute saint of a pony

Very well bred pony!

Oakley has been there and done it all- Eventing, showing, dressage & hacking

Very honest boy who enjoys his work, kind & extremely well mannered with a gentle nature.

Hacks alone & in company always snaffle mouthed

He’s turned out in a mixed herd (tends to be low in the pecking order), easy to catch- will follow you around the field!Loads & travels well, quiet to shoe (just shod in front)

He came to us as a schoolmaster for the riding school, However as he’s a very slight build we only use him for small, light riders- hence the decision to sell.

The only negative about him:

When Oakley arrived he was very light, he is co putting on weight , we have wormed him & had his teeth done but he does still need more weight on him!

He Will make someone very happy- a lovely boy!

13.2hh Welsh Sec C bay gelding, 11 years old by Glynwyn Matt Di Angelo. This handsome pony has done all PC activities, loves jumping and competes up to 70cm, training at 80cm at home. We’ve taken him on beach rides and he hacks out alone or in company and is good in all traffic, not spooky at all.

He’s really well schooled and has 3 easy rhythmical paces and does a really smart test. He also did showing in a previous home.

He would be ideal for a competent child looking for a competitive second pony, or a petite lady looking for a classy allrounder.

He is handled and ridden by children, great to load, clip and for farrier and is a very sad sale as he is now outgrown. Up to date with all vaccinations, teeth, physio and saddle checks.

Open to vetting and comes with excellent tack and extensive rugs. Homes will be vetted and we would like to keep in touch.
