Larry is truly a one in a million pony being both a competitive jumper who loves his job as well as an easy and lovely pony to have around.

He has competed SJI up to 115 with his previous rider. Since we have owned him, he has taken my daughter from 70cm unaffiliated to 110cm BS (Foxhunter) in a very short amount of time giving her plenty of confidence.

Larry’s best results are at Newcomer (1m) level where he is very consistent, regularly coming back with double clears. He is happy to take a miss and is eager to try and get his rider out of trouble whilst also being very careful.

This year he qualified for the Newcomers second rounds which we were unable to jump due to my daughter being in the middle of GCSE exams. He qualified for and jumped in the 1m Restricted Rider final at the British Showjumping National Championships where he had 1 rider pole round a tough track and was out of placings by 1 second.

He has been an amazing pony for my daughter to compete in BS, he is very easy to take to day shows and stay away shows. Being 8, we feel there is much more to come from him and we are extremely sad to have to sell him due to my daughter finishing on ponies and moving onto horses. We would love to stay in contact with his new owner.

Larry is easy to keep, he will live in or out with mares or geldings. He is a competition pony and loves his job so is not the type to be left in the field for a week and then jump back on at a show! Everybody loves Suzy. She is truly amazing. We’ve had Suzy for over 4 years now. During this time she brought on my son’s riding and my daughter’s riding to jumping 80-90cm. Originally bred for dressage, he became an FEI Eventing Pony before returning to dressage in his mid-teens. His wealth of experience, schooling and wonderful temperament between the boards, make him a very special pony to support a talented young rider in their development, with all the ability to still compete at the highest level.

Dumbledore has been ridden by children from as young as 11 years old at different stages of his career and he has an extraordinary ability to teach his rider, give them the confidence and education to develop their skills.

He was a winner of the Pony Club Open Team in 2023 and placed individually, in only their second test at the level. With his current rider, he has since been competing successfully at BD Youth level, representing the South West at the BD Youth Home Nations (2025); FEI Pony tests (2026) and at the Pony Club Championships (2026), winning the Open warm-up class with 75% and placing top 10 in the Open Championship.

This is a much-loved pony who has given his riders an enormous amount and has been a very special part of their development.

We will therefore only consider the right home for Dumbledore, where his experience, talent and character will be appreciated and where he can continue to teach, compete and inspire another rider.
