14.1 Connemara Event Pony

Pony Club / Allrounder / Competition Pony

Ref #: 227576

  • Competition Pony of a lifetime

So, the time has come for our beautiful Ted to go on to pastures new. He has been the most amazing pony for us and has taught my daughter so much. Ted has taken Annie from a relatively inexperienced rider to a bold and confident one. We bought him when she was 12 and they instantly had an amazing bond, he takes everything in his stride.

They have been successful at pretty much everything in their time together - dressage, SJ, lots of pony club, camps, sponsored rides, inter hunt relay, hunter trials, arena eventing, hound exercise, autumn hunting, eventer challenges but their favourite thing is eventing. They have competed mainly at 80/90cm NSEA, PC, UA and have done one BE. They have been to the PC Champs together in Novice dressage and Novice Eventing. They have won or been placed in nearly every event they have entered. Dressage phase, Ted has always scored low 30s, with the odd high 20s. His SJ is great and will take off on any stride.

He is an absolute XC machine and loves his job - I have never had to worry if he will bring her home safely, jumps ditches, water, steps, skinnies etc, never looks at anything. He has had a quiet time over the last 18 months due to daughter’s lack of interest but he is back in full work and ready to pick up where he left off, to show a new rider the joys of eventing.

He’s good to do in all ways with no vices. He doesn’t like to hack out alone but the children never hack out without company so this hasn’t been a problem for us.

Ted has been our pony of a lifetime and he will only be sold to the right home where he will be loved and looked after like a king. Although he is straight forward, he isn’t a first pony, so no novices please.

Based Oxfordshire.

  • SOCIAL DISTANCING MUST BE OBSERVED AT ALL TIMES

It's hard to believe nearly 2 months have passed since lock down began. We hope you're all staying safe and sane during this difficult time.

The British Equestrian Federation have reviewed their stance on riding and coaching, and the following developments have been announced:

Coaches can travel to yards for individual face-to-face training in controlled outdoor environments. They must ensure that the necessary measures, risk assessments and safeguarding provisions are put in place, including checking insurance cover with their providers.

Riders are now permitted to transport horses to a venue for an individual lesson or facility hire outdoors. Those involved in travelling to or from a venue must all be from the same household. Riders may meet with one other from outside their household, which may be a coach or other participant, all with the proviso that the appropriate social distancing and hygiene practices are in place.

Venues should conduct full risk assessments and ensure that the required public health, hygiene and social distancing measures are implemented effectively.

Social distancing must be observed at all times, as should public health, hygiene and biosecurity requirements. It is asked that the equestrian public consider the risk of their activity, and to ride or exercise where it is safe to do so and within the capabilities and fitness levels of them and their horse.

Stunning 14.2hh German Riding Pony with elegant paces and hugely fun to ride. A dressage schoolmistress who has been with us for two and a half years.

Exceptionally well produced by Tania Kyle, she has had an excellent education on the flat.  She is a true performer and will excel in this discipline but is as yet unaffiliated, having been eventing with us.

A dream ride as a school mistress or for someone with ambition to move up through the levels in BD. She's a real professional - jazzy but never rude.  Perfect manners, with enough about her - smart and extremely talented.

Well established lateral work which she finds easy, with beautiful, established changes. Beautifully snaffle mouthed and light and submissive in the contact. At 12 years old and only two homes, she is an absolute joy to have around and so easy to look after by children and adults alike.

Ridden by all my children - and hacked out on her own by my little 10 year old who adores her but is really too small and would not do her justice!

Easy to catch, load, shoe, clip, perfect in the heaviest of traffic, never spooky and absolutely NO vices.

Her next home is extremely important to us and it will be that over price that matters. Plenty of video and pictures on request.

Plenty of references available – by both coach and rider. The first person to try will fall entirely in love!

Shadow is a true allrounder and is a safe confidence giving pony that enjoys a fun and varied life with his current owner but is sadly outgrown having done his job so well.

Shadow can be ridden by a novice child learning to trot in the school or canter around a course of BS show jumps at 80-90cm. He is a fun xc pony and would be great hunting and for all PC activities.

Shadow is forward but not strong on a hack and steadier in the school. He is currently on working livery at an Equestrian centre teaching a variety of children.

We are looking for a 5* home for this special pony who deserves the best in life.

EVERYTHING UP TWO

Paddy has been the dream pony for me, taking me from jumping unaffiliated to 1.15m successfully. He rarely comes home without a placing and is well known on the circuit

Paddy is very consistent, knows his job and great in a jump off.

He has a lovely temperament both whilst riding and on the ground, he enjoys hacking and is great to shoe, bath etc

Doesn’t look or act his age and he loves to jump so don’t let his age put you off

We think Paddy would suit a child wanting to be competitive around tracks up to 1.10m as this is where he excels

He is a great confidence giver and is fit and ready for the shows starting back up

5 star homes only as a very sad sale but moving on to horses, will be missed very much

Full up 14.2 Gorgeous Grey Mare

Our special girl is now ready for a new home. She's easily one of the sweetest ponies you'll come across, a total pleasure to handle and ride.

Early has helped my daughter transition from pony to horse and have a lot a fun along the way.

Unfortunately, she is now too small for my daughter so we're looking for a 5 star home for this one.

Has 3 good paces and loves to jump - carefully brought on over time resulting in a brave, careful and scopey jump.

Early has done a bit of everything including XC, Pony Club camps and rallies, unaffiliated dressage with the main focus on show jumping. She’s collected more ribbons than we have houseroom for.

  • Finished first in regional Dengie Qualifiers 2019
  • Qualified Trailblazers 2019 (WH & SJ)
  • Jumped BSJ Novice and Discovery

She is happy hacking alone or in company and is now ready to start competing again

She Lives in or out with mares or in a mixed field.

Early had an injury in early 2019 so hit a bit of a holiday in second half of last year. Was well box rested and professionally treated with water treadmill at Bowland Equine, then turned out for 6 full months. In early 2020 we began to bring her back into work very slowly and she’s delighted to be jumping again with confidence.

Ideal for someone wanting an all rounder or top level Pony Club / Riding Club partner. Would suit a small adult or competent teenager.

Fantastic breeding

Very sad sale of this beautiful boy due to being outgrown. He is only for sale as he has done his job and children are due to move on to the next level and bigger ponies.

We have owned Robin for nearly 6 years and he has taught my two daughters to become confident riders as he knows his job inside out. They were only 10 & 7 when they had him and straight away felt safe on him.

Home produced.

He has great conformation, snaffle mouthed and moves beautifully with three balanced paces and is a perfect stamp of a Show Pony

Robin has competed at several large and local shows, always in the ribbons, reserve and champion and previously did county shows, attending RIHS in 2014. No calmers or plugs needed in evening performances.

At shows he only needs riding for a few minutes and that’s to wake him up and it was always done by the girls themselves, never an adult.

Robin will pop a small jump and is happy to hack out in company.

Good to load, good with farrier and to catch, never been clipped.

£2700 ovno. Can come with tack at additional cost.

Very sad sale so please no time wasters. Will only go to a 5 star home.

Willow is a full up 13.2 New Forest Pony, we bought her 3 years ago for my 13 year old daughter to do a bit of everything. She has exceeded our expectations and they have gone on to achieve some great results together.

She is a straightforward pony who looks after her rider, but once they have their confidence has so much more to give. However, she is not a true “first pony” more a pony to move onto and progress with.

She is snaffle mouthed in all disciplines.

In her previous home she evented up to BE90, NSEA 90 and took part in all pony club activities including camp, and hacked out, all with an 11 year old girl.

In her time with us my daughter has done unaffiliated jumping up to 70 but has mainly focused on dressage, qualifying for the Oldencraig Championships 2 years in a row. She has also been professionally schooled 2/3 times a week all the time we have owned her.

She would suit either a tall child/small teen wanting to go out and have fun at pony club/schools teams or a small adult.

She would be an ideal mother/daughter share.

Good to load, farrier, vet, dentist.

Comes with tack and full set of rugs.

More photos and Videos available on request.

This has been a very difficult decision so please only genuine enquiries.

Talented, well bred fully registered Connemara.

Ruby has been there and got the t-shirt, yet still young enough to move up the levels further with her next capable jockey.

This mare absolutely loves her job, she enjoys a course of fences both natural and bright coloured poles and fillers.

Ruby has been an active member of the pony club and has enjoyed learning enough to then be able to help out her rider. Always honest and brave

Hacking out is fun for Ruby and she enjoys the countryside alone and in company.

Although Ruby has no vices and is easy to handle and ride, I would not place her into a novice home and would be more a second pony than a first. She is very straight forward , no bucking rearing or napping and is easy to do. Would be a perfect mother daughter share.

She is very occasionally a little strong with a nervous or novice rider but with the more experienced can be ridden in a loose ring snaffle with no problems.

Open to any inspection. Lots of photos and videos available on whatsapp
