We are looking for a kind, reliable, genuine first competition pony for my just turned 13 year old daughter, who is a competent rider with 5 years with her own ponies, but still novice in jumping (self taught up until October 2025) She is now keen to pursue showjumping seriously.

So we are now searching for a true confidence giving showjumping schoolmisstress/master

Requirements:

14-14.2
Age 8 or older (experienced only)
Forward going but not sharp, silly or strong.
Calm brain, safe, sensible straightforward in all ways ridden and on the ground
Must be a pony that will teach and look after its rider
Honest to ever fence
Proven jumping experience up to 1m
Been out and about to shows, pony club, competitions and behaves the same as it does at home

Absolutely No:

Bucking, rearing, napping or silliness
Spooky or highly strung "all blood" types
Stoppers or Run outs (this is a strong no!)
Ponies that need a very strong rider
No cobs please

We have a healthy budget of £30,000 for the right pony
We are UK based and will to travel UK and Ireland for the right pony.

Rosie is a quiet hack and goes first or last, She should suit a mother daughter share.

She is only ever hacked out in a plain snaffle bridle.

She is a JA in Ireland where she regularly jumped up to 1.20m with loads of 1.10m double clears.

She now has 810 points and has Qualified Blue Chip Pearl. She has a big scopey jump and jumps all fillers.

Rosie has participated in all disciplines, Cross Country, Pony Clubbed, Hunted, Hunter Trials.

She is great in traffic, Very easy to catch,

Rosie can do a variety of jobs.

We ride her in a snaffle bridle hacking and jumping, but she can get stronger when jumping.

Meet Lottie - best friend and super star, now sadly outgrown.

It took me 9 months of searching to find Lottie - my daughter was 7 & flying around 40-50cm courses so we needed the next step, but not a whizzy 2nd pony. I knew Lottie was for us immediately - and 4.5 years later she’s done everything we’ve ever asked of her!

Lottie is a 15 year old 128cm / 12.3h ISH passported mare. She has a successful SJ record in Ireland to 1m so has scope to burn but will happily jump down (she went from 90+ straight down to 50cm with us) and step up again - she loves a jump off!

She is a sane & sensible first competition pony for an established jockey. She has looked after friends kids who pop on unable to ride, but I don't class her as a FYFR pony as she has a powerful jump, knows her job & loves it so would be too much for an unbalanced jockey out & about.

My daughter is moving on to a competitive 138cm and Lottie has been her safety net during the transition. She is too good to be a reserve - she deserves to be No 1 for a new best friend. We are in no hurry to sell her - a 5 star home is paramount.

We are looking for a safe and sensible small horse/pony to primarily train to do dressage up to Elementary level with ability to do some low level Show Jumping up to 80/85cm. With our previous horse we had wins and places at Novice level. Could be a show jumper looking to step down and focus on dressage.

Frankie is the calmest, considerate, gentleman who always takes care of his riders. Ridden by tiny tots to small adults, weight carrier with a good amount of bone.

Tonnes of experience and unbelievably safe. Ideal for a beginner, nervous rider or a rider who wants a chilled relaxing ride, he is super steady, calm and gentle in every way, he is more whoa than go, even though he is super safe, he responds to the leg and has 3 nice paces. He is willing and will do what you ask, even pops a small jump or log, he walks, trots and canters steadily. Frankie has done Pony Club / Riding Club / fun rides / beach rides / low level competitions under Saddle and in hand prior to coming to us.
He is a fantastic all-rounder.

13 yrs schoolmaster

Exceptional gelding with tonnes of experience for sale. Has spent the last few years in the same riding school where he has been ridden by complete novice and intermediate riders both children and small adults. He has done all flat work lessons, privates and groups. He is very genuine and loves to hack out, he doesn’t pull, rush, spook or get nervous of anything, he is the most loving gelding you could ever wish to meet. . he is one of the favourite with our SEN children and small adults, he participates in all our RDA lessons, hacks and stable management sessions.

Absolutely no vices, when ridden, in the stable or in the field and has brilliant manners enabling anyone to handle him safely and with ease, will stand for hours with no head collar or lead rope being groomed.

He has exceptional manners and ticks so many boxes for someone looking for a very safe easy schoolmaster, with no ifs or buts.

Frankie will hack out alone or in company in the heaviest fast moving traffic without batting an eye lid. He has seen all farm machinery as we use it on the farm daily. He is 100% safe, steady and collected when ridden in all paces across open fields, regardless of whether he is at the front, middle, back of the ride or on his own, he will not rush or pull even on the way home.

Snaffle mouth with absolutely no gadgets.

He lives within a mixed herd, stabled during the day and turned out at night, he prefers to be stabled full time, he keeps himself to himself and never causes any trouble despite being out with a large mixed herd.
He is currently barefoot and has excellent manners with the farrier and could be shod if needed. he ties up anywhere, and loves attention.
He is excellent to catch, clip, bath, load, travel, with the farrier, vet and dentist.

Frankie would give confidence to any rider / handler and could easily return to low level riding club / pony club / fun rides / beach rides.

He can go for months without work then be tacked up and ridden without any fuss, he is extremely low maintenance, he maintains his weight all year round on grass, hay, haylage during the winter months.
He has never been lame had laminitis, sweet-itch, sarcoids, never been sick or sorry, no lumps or bumps. Never needed a vet in the whole time we have had him.

I can honestly say he has never been lame, sick or sorry, my vet can verify this, he passes the riding school annual license inspections with flying colours, this is equivalent to a stage 2 vetting.

Looking for a five star private home to give someone the opportunity to purchase a safe and very sensible horse, with so much to offer.

Absolute heartbreaking sale but we like to change our stock around every few years to give our fantastic horses and ponies the opportunity to experience a one to one home again. Sold on behalf of a working livery.
