Penny is 14.2hh, 15 years old unregistered Connemara mare. She has been with us for over 5 years and now needs to find her new person as her rider has moved on to horses. She has been our daughter's pony of a lifetime and has taught her so much from competing at 70 at local shows to representing the British Evening Northern Region.

She has competed successfully at BE90 and 100 and has had numerous top 10 placings and has been part of the British Eventing U18s 90 Northern team at the 2023 and 2024 Championships. She has attended many training days and camps with the U18s. She has 3 lovely places and loves to jump and is very bold on the XC course and looks after her rider.

She has Badminton Grassroots potential as she has qualified on a number of occasions for the Regional Championships.

She has also done all Pony Club activities including camps and area competitions and was part of the Show Jumping Team that came 2nd at Bramham in 2023.

Penny has done NSEA and has proven to be very competitive at the Championships in the 90 and 100 classes, both show jumping and JWS and has competed at the Royal Windsor Horse Show.

Penny has also been very successful in working hunter classes as a youngster with her previous owners and would no doubt still excell in this field.

Penny suited to a confident rider as she is is a forward going pocket rocket that absolutely loves her job but is also very safe and genuine and can go off any stride and get her rider out of trouble.

She is the easiest pony on the ground and has no vices and has been handled completely by my daughter since the age of 11.

Penny is a much loved part of our family and will only go to the best of homes, so please no time wasters as this is a difficult decision for us.

We have owned Lottea for just over two years now and she has made all of Hollys dreams come true.

Holly had not jumped anything bigger than 1m when we bought Lottea in August of 2023 and by January 2024 she was jumping the winter JC qualifiers in Scotland where she went triple clear and qualified on the first attempt.

Lottea qualified for the newcomer and fox hunter final 2024 at HOYS last year and has qualified again for the fox hunter final 2025 she also has qualified for the JC final 2 years in a row.

Very sadly outgrown, Topper is the most amazing and fun pony. He has taken my once nervous daughter from jumping cross poles to being competitive at 80 cm in just 18 months. We have then had a year with my younger daughter of competition and pony club fun with lots of wins and rosettes on the way. He has given the girls a brilliant foundation ready to move onto bigger ponies and we are now looking for a new home where he can teach another child to move up through the levels and have as much fun as we have.

Topper is truly the most versatile pony who is just as happy taking a novice child around a course of cross of cross poles to being competitive in 80 cm classes. He will listen to little legs, stay in a lovely rhythm and will patiently teach the smallest rider their up downs. He will then happily stand for hours whilst being dressed up or having glitter applied, enjoying all the attention and loving being pampered.

He’s done all pony club activities including camp and is always a favourite with the instructors as he is super reliable and loves his work. He has been on teams for pony club mini championships and won the area 15 individual 70cm class in 2024. We have competed BS in Under 11 and Stepping Stones classes, qualifying for the Cats and Pipes final 2025. He has been on NSEA teams and at our local unaffiliated league he has been in the winning teams two years running and is always on the podium in the individual placings.

We have been arena eventing and cross country, where he has given both the girls so much confidence. Going out to shows is easy, he has been to stay away shows and showjumping camps where he is relaxed and happy.

We regularly box out to the moors and beach which he loves, he doesn’t change out in open spaces, and the children always feel safe on him, giving them the confidence to go for a gallop.

At home he’s the easiest on the yard and just loves to interact with people. The children can do everything with him and will tack up and ride without me needing to do anything for them.

Elvis (Thistledown Elapso) has been in our family for 7 years.

We brought him for my daughter when she was 3yrs old, taking her straight into the ring at Stars of Champions that winter and getting 6th in the M and M Leadrein. Elvis is a complete schoolmaster on the Leadrein, sitting beautifully on the bit and always does a foot perfect show. You can lead him on the end of the Leadrein and he will go as slow or as fast as the leader asks! He moves beautifully and always gets comments from judges and competitors wherever he goes. VHS and SSADL judges have commented that he would be a great pony to contest these classes and would do very well.

Elvis has always been ridden off the Leadrein by my daughter and is completely safe. He won Royal International as a Leadrein in 2021 and 2 days later took Emily to pony club camp off the Leadrein. Emily was only 5 years old at the time. Elvis is lazier off lr and requires legs to tell him to move so is more whoa than go type! In his previous home, he qualified RI and Blair (2nd) in the open first ridden.

Emily has done everything with him over the last couple of years and has enjoyed having fun and show jumping him. Emily has won or been in the top 2 at every sj course she has done- whilst he isn’t the speediest pony (he looks far too pretty) she always rides tight turns and gets her time that way. He does require a confident jockey to jump scarier courses off the leadrein. At the end of the season, we did a few Lr sports pony classes, getting placed in every one in huge classes. He performed foot perfect rounds each time and if we had contested more, he would have certianly got there.

Elvis is a superstar to hack. He is not bothered by any vechicles and will happily lead or go behind.

Elvis is the kindest pony on the ground. He loves people and attention, always pricks his ears and has a very happy type personality! He stand like a rock to be groomed, shod, chipped. He has travelled in a lorry and trailer with us.

Elvis is clipped out and ready for his new family to make memories with. He has been my daughter’s pony of a lifetime and this is a devastating sale.

Absolute school mistress pony for a child that prefers a slightly more kick along ride. Snaffle mouth. Never strong or spooky.

Happy to pop round cross poles or step up and jump round 80. What she lacks in speed she makes up on turns and is extremely honest and forgiving. A true kids pony that they can vault on, ride bareback, play games on, cuddle and pamper.

Many wins Sj, placed dressage and done Xc schooling, goes in water jumps ditches etc.

Never had any health issues and no lumps or bumps. Been ridden by nervous children as well as more advanced children.

Reduced as bigger pony now found. Very sweet loving mare, snaffle mouth well schooled responsive ride who loves her job. Jumped to 90cm show Jumping and always been good to load and leave on box.

We have done a couple of pc rallies with her but she did more in previous home as well as some dressage.

She is good to catch, with farrier and other horses, good in traffic and open spaces although she wouldn’t be for a nervous novice as is responsive and likes soft hands. She has no vices.

Romeo has been an exceptional pony for us, we have owned him for 6 years and he has taken both our girls to RIHS and HOYS. He is such a lovely pony to have, the girls can do him all by themselves, he is trustworthy and would take a nervous or fyfr jockey off the lead. Sad sale due to being outgrown. Caz is a beautiful and much loved allrounder pony, who has been with us for the past 5 years.

During that time he has excelled in flatwork, taken part in pole work clinics and competed successfully in dressage - rarely coming home without ribbons, consistently scoring 70% + at Prelim and ready to step up to novice.

At home and in arena hires, Caz enjoys jumping and shows plenty of scope however we have mainly done dressage and showing due to his success.

He hacks in company and my daughter does hack him alone. He is used to heavy machinery, cars, cyclist etc.

He has hunted with us before and will be hunted until a new home is found. He had no problems with the hounds and knew his job on the field.

He is blemish free and has wonderfully successful showing breeding so excels in the ring, always coming home with a red rosette!

He is good on the ground and loves nothing more than a groom and cuddle.

He is in a herd turnout with us and stabled at night.

He is barefoot, good to trim, clip etc.

We give him slight sedation for the dentist and have never had a problem.

Reluctant sale of my beautiful boy but family circumstances have sadly changed. I have only owned Oggie since April but unfortunately due to my deteriorating health and impending operation, I am having to cut down and sadly do not have a job for him.

Been there, done it - BSJ / BD, incl. Pony of the Year with previous owner.

I feel Oggie would suit a low level home, spending most of his time hacking out. Despite me saying he would prefer this, he is also excellent in the school and loves to pop a course of jumps (coloured and rustic)

Oggie Canters through open fields/moorland, he doesn't get strong or silly, he adores going to Craven Country ride and will go around on his own, over jumps and in the water.

Oggie Currently shod on all four and saw the farrier last week.

He Lunges and long reins beautifully, goes for in handwalks like a puppy dog and will turn out with anything. Oggie is happy to be stabled and doesn’t get silly or fizzy if not ridden for a few days.

Vices and please don’t let these put your off, i would just rather be brutally honest! Oggie is protective over his personal space especially when food is around in the stable and will pull faces and paw the floor (we are happy to discuss this further and give more information but please don’t let it put you off reading more!) however there are also some times when he wants bum scratches and be your best friend following you around the stable, these are on oggies terms! He instantly changes as soon as he is out of the stable or has his head collar on.

Oggie is not a complete novice ride as he is your typical smart Connie and can be spooky when in new in environments and try it on but he is also the most honest and forgiving pony who moves beautifully. At the moment both myself and daughter ride him and I feel he is a great mum/daughter share unfortunately when I have my op, she doesn’t have the time to take him on as she has her own horse to keep exercised.

Oggie is excellent in traffic and will pass machinery. I have hacked him down the main road with buses, tractors, football matches going on/past and he didn’t bat an eyelid!

Oggie does have a small sarcoid on his bum (under his tail) however this remains unchanged and hasn’t grown. Myself and the vet just monitor it.

Oggie is Up to date with everything (feet, teeth, vaccinations)

Oggie will come with his Fairfax saddle, bridle and rugs.
