FYFR first ridden/lead rein pony.
11hh, Reg’d Welsh A, gelding, 16 years old.
Excellent to handle by even the smallest of children, will stand tied up whilst my youngest daughter brushes his hooves!
Excellent in traffic, never strong or silly, snaffle mouth, definitely (absolutely!) a more woah than go type off the lead rein, loves to plod along. Leads perfectly on foot or from another horse, we lead him from our 16.2hh warm blood mare, somehow he manages to keep up!
In a previous home before we bought him he'd been used for pony club rallies/camp, showing etc. We've used him for mostly hacking, some local showing and fun rides.
He's only had 3 previous homes and I know each one, all of them follow his progress and I think that says a lot about him as pony.
We have owned Blaze for 4 fantastic years, he has bought our daughter on from a nervous/novice 5 year old who was on the lead rein to a confident, happy rider who has progressed to her 2nd pony.
He is the type of pony that doesn't mess around if his little jockey puts in a kick at the wrong time or has washing line reins, he doesn't take advantage if they can't quite get the aids right or if they haven't yet got full balance in trot and bounce along, the perfect pony to learn on.
My youngest has ridden him on and off since she was 2 years old, a true family pony.
We have absolutely adored our time with him, we thought we'd be able to give him a home for life but sadly my youngest daughter isn't interested enough and he's being wasted sat in the field as an ornament, I know how hard good ponies are to find, he's a true gem.
He's shod on the front, excellent in every way, comes to call.
He does have cushings and EMS which both are currently medicated for, he is currently stable but I have priced him fairly for the fact that he requires medication and special care, that said he is easy to manage with a muzzle on turned out and then soaked hay at night.
He is looking for an easy going home, would be perfect for a little tot wanting to plod around.
Heartbreaking sale of our wonderful little Blaze so please only apply if you can offer him an amazing home.
