  • 3rd Place HOYS Finals 2019

Woody is a competent competitive teenagers dream pony, a pony that has already been there and done it but still has plenty to give. He has competed all around the UK and has 640 points so is still in foxhunter classes.

Woody qualified and competed at HOYS in 2019 and in 2020, in the Newcomer he finished 3rd behind two very big ponies who are now being jumped as horses, he was also placed in the fox hunter. He is very brave, not spooky and has a careful jump.

Woody as a pony is good to do in all ways and a pleasure to have around, he is a character good to wash, clip, shoe, ect ect and he will hack alone or in company no problem.

He would suit a competent competitive teenager coming off 138,s and wanting to start in 148,s, he will be there or there about in the right hands competing the JC classes for 2021. There are not many who finish third in the HOYS finals at this price but we have no jockey and he needs to go and compete.

Scopey, and ultra athletic with superb technique! Ready to go forward as a terrific second rounds prospect. Current rider lost that chance due to the pandemic.

Qualified for four classes 2020 Blue Chip, which of course never happened. Rider now out of ponies.

This is a stunning looking pony, a perfect model of a Connemara with that easy temperament on the ground.

A super talented competition pony looking for an experienced and confident rider to have fun and bring home the ribbons. Fit and ready to go for this season.

We are looking for a five star, knowledgeable home.

  • Forward Thinking Second/Third Irish Sports Pony
  • Qualified BS Discovery 2nd Rounds 2020
  • Pony Club Grassroots Regional Champs in all three disciplines

After four fantastic years, we have to sell our beautiful, gorgeous, talented, kind and genuine little Star.

A forward-thinking, 2nd/3rd pony, she has taken my daughter from 60/70cm to BE80 and BS Newcomers, 1m.

She is good to hack, alone or in company, and is a confident and scopey jumper with 215 BS points (JC - Lakeview Magic Star).

As you’ll see in the videos, she is fabulous competition pony that jumps everything in a nice steady rhythm and only what is in front of her.

We’re looking for a kind and positive rider, probably over 10 years old (as my daughter was when we got her) unless from a very knowledgeable home.

She could equally go to a non-jumping home as she works beautifully on the flat.

She is a real pro, an all-rounder that has enjoyed all pony club rallies, camp and has represented Old Surrey and Burstow at Area and Regional Grassroots dressage, showjumping, eventing and tetrathlon.

She is a joy to handle for adults and children alike. Easy to load, travel, shoe and trim (barefoot currently) and stands perfectly for the vet, dentist, physio and saddler.

She has lovely manners at home, at shows and stay-aways. A very easy pony who loves to be fussed and lives in or out, in mixed company. Based near Edenbridge TN8

Much loved member of our family so this is a very, very hard sale!

Please forgive the length of this advert. We have much to say about this pony … she deserves it!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

  • Super careful & consistent
  • Safe
  • Willing
  • Brave
  • … At only 11 and low mileage, still on the way up!

PRINTERS ASSASSIN (Arya) is a strong, powerful ally as her name suggests! She is a winner in good company in all disciplines (showjumping, dressage and eventing), including the hottest BS 138cm pony classes.

When she loves and respects you and feels loved and respected in return … she would jump the moon for you, just as she has for me on many occasions!

She has demonstrated ability and heart to be ABSOLUTELY top class for a competent, kind, sensitive, and loving child.

She has a kind, generous, and willing nature. She very much wants to please. She now needs a super younger child to teach and have fun with, just as she has taught me SO much and taken me to places I only dreamed of going!

SHE IS NO DOORMAT, she is sharp, sassy, feisty, and extremely intelligent. Not difficult nor dangerous in any way, but not a novice ride.

She has been trained almost exclusively by us over the almost four years she has been with us (my parents being very experienced horse trainers and competitors in their respective fields). I am 14 and have ridden her since I was 10. I am her only jockey.

--------------- SHOWJUMPING -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Arya competes at the top level for 138cm ponies British Showjumping. She is one of very few JC ponies to have qualified for and competed in the 138 Winter Championships (1.25-1.30m) at Hickstead, having only competed BS for two years.

She has been frequent winner and top five placings up to and including classes at 1.10m.

Having unexpectedly qualified this relatively novice pony in February 2020 for the Winter 138 Champs, we did have some catching up to do to be ready for the Final at Hickstead in July 2020. Ideally, we needed to give her more experience over the bigger tracks. In a normal year we believe we could have done that. Sadly, and I say this with some regret; we were not able to do as much as she really needed (owing largely to lockdown/show cancellations/cancellation of all the other championship classes we had qualified for/ and even the cancellation then re-scheduling of the Winter Champs). Consequently, we did rather rush the showjumping last year – as you will see on her record – unfairly leading to a record that doesn’t reflect the stunning, willing, giving and talented pony that Arya truly is.

Sadly 2020 was my last year competing her BS as I will be 15 this year.

2020 Qualifications …
- SCOPE Festival Novice Masters Championship (95cm)
- Blue Chip Winter Pony Discovery Champs (1m)
- Blue Chip Sapphire Championship (1m)
- Discovery 2nd Rounds (1m)
- Amanda Millward 138cm Championship (1m)
- Springboard Final (1.05m)
- 138cm Handicap Specials (1.05m)
- Pony Restricted Rider 1m Champs (1.05m)
- Newcomers 2nd Rounds (1.10m)
- Winter 138cm Second Rounds (1.15)
- Hickstead, BS Winter 138 Championship Finalist (1.25-1.30m)

What a mess 2020 was! Most of our champs were either cancelled, or postponed several times .. and then clashed, or I was back at school. Consequently, the only championship we did was Hickstead.

--------------- EVENTING -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
She is a winner up to and including 90cm eventing. She gave me a double clear, 100cm qualifying run in my first BE event, finishing 10th at Norton Disney. She also recently gave me a fantastic clear run at 100cm eventing.

We were 8th in the two-day event (2019) at Princethorpe, Best Dressage, double clear cross country (including roads and tracks and steeple chase). My silly mistake in the show jumping costing us the win. Might I add, I have never done that again!

--------------- DRESSAGE -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
She is now training comfortably at Medium level dressage. She has won a few dressage classes, but with only a handful of outings (I’m away at school and we simply don’t have time to do everything). Now competing securely at the top end of Elementary, winning E42 las time out.

She is working extremely correctly and well. To us she is a masterpiece (I know ... we might be biased!), and she is still improving. She is competent at:
• all lateral movements, including half pass in walk, trot and canter
• counter canter
• correct, true lead changes (not just SJ lead-changes)
• We are also playing with the early steps of piaffe
• Mediums and extensions are coming along nicely

--------------- TRAINING -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We enjoy training as much as competing so have produced her at home carefully and correctly, taking our time.

--------------- PONY CLUB -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We have enjoyed all Pony Club activities, including competing and winning on all PC teams and loving PC Camp.

We qualified for Cholmondley Castle, for both Dressage (individually and team) and Eventing (individually and Team) with the Burghley PC for 2019. Sadly, the PC Champs were cancelled in 2019 (WET!).

Also sadly PC Areas and Champs were cancelled in 2020 (COVID!).

--------------- GENERALLY -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Together we have done so much.
• Since I was a 10-year-old I was riding her in from the field bareback with a headcollar.
• I hack her alone and in company. Though at risk of repeating myself SHE IS NOT A DOORMAT! She is bouncy and feisty, but has never done anything anti-social.
• We hack all around the farm and countryside, helping ourselves to whatever comes in our way (ditches, hedges, rails, logs etc).
• Also, on the roads with cars, motorbikes, lorries, farm machinery, the works.
• With my support she is an adventurer.
• She is super safe .. Too smart not to be! She has never done anything silly nor remotely dangerous.
• I ‘do’ her myself (when school permits).
• She loves people, would never hurt a (human) soul. However, horses hmm! If she got her little hooves around any one of ours … it would become interesting very quickly! We don’t turn her out with other horses. In truth, she prefers human company.
• I often work with her loose in the Round Pen and what can I say … she is amazing, perfection! (Though my father, Richard is the expert!)

SUPER polite and easy to handle in every way.
• She is snaffle mouthed working at Novice/Elementary in a snaffle. Although I usually ride her in a double bridle, for the higher level dressage and particularly for jumping and cross-country. (Please Note: I ride everything in a double bridle - even my little 12hh Dartmoor I had when I was 6! As Robin Leyland said, “All you need in your tack room is a snaffle and a double”. My mother has added an explanation on our use of double bridles FYI below this ad.)
• She usually catches us in the field .. trots over to us.
• She loads and travels very well.
• Clipping – she wouldn’t even need a headcollar on.
• Shoeing - couldn't be easier.
• Mane pulling - perfect.
• We have however left her tail to grow because she really doesn’t like having it pulled. For two years my mother did pull her tail, without the need for wrestling, doping or twitching. However, she is sensitive. She is too respectful and polite to kick or bite, but clearly hates having her tail pulled. So, we decided she looks better as a hippie!
• No vices.
• Fit, sound, and well, with ultra clean legs.

I love her ABSOLUTELY COMPLETELY! So does my mother, George. Only topped by my father who would sleep in Arya’s stable if my mother would let him (didn’t get so jealous)! Once you get to know her personality, she can’t help but make you laugh every day!

Her sale will be accompanied by many soaked tissues, and wails (that’s totally a generic term). To a 6-star home ONLY! We will want to know about you =)

ON DOUBLE BRIDLES
Arya is snaffle mouthed. She has a lovely mouth and is very responsive. Xanthe jumps, hacks, and does dressage on her a snaffle … as well as in a double bridle.

I/WE LOVE double bridles, and we work all of our horses and ponies in them. We use the double as part of our education as, when used with skill and sensitivity and supported by forward and balanced riding, it helps horses to find not only a good understanding of the rider’s aids but also to carry themselves in correct posture. The double bridle allows us the subtlest of touch and communication.

A quick search on our YouTube and INSTAGRAM channels will show you that Xanthe has ridden all her ponies in double bridles since she was small.

All of them also go in snaffles, without the need for martingales or tight nosebands, in all disciplines.

I say all of this because I know some believe a double bridle is only used when all other brakes have failed … This is not so in our case! ;)

Eden is a pleasure to own, this really is a heartbreaking sale as totally outgrown and daughter now off 138's.

She has no vices at all 100% shoe, box, load, travel, clip. teeth etc Barefoot with excellent feet

Very loving child's pony, never marish, never barge's and will stand on box/trailer all day without a grumble.

2019 was her first BS full season where my daughter produced her from nothing up to Graham Heaths and also Newcomers easily making the strides.

In 2019 she qualified for Bluechip Pikeur pony Novice Championship winning her qualifier at Onley at her first visit, Eskadron Pony Discovery Championship, Scope Swn Y Mor 90cm Novice Masters CHampionship and the British Novice and Discovery 2nd rounds in the day jumping 6 rounds.

The partnership tried their first Graham Heath at Southview having just a stop in the jump-off due to rider error and nerves still placing 3rd.

She is very flashy, naturally quick across the floor and incredible in a jump-off, she is a pure jumping pony and needs her next competitive young rider to carry on up the levels. She is now thanks to being slowly produced very brave towards a fence, schooled lovely off the leg with 3 flowing paces.

Eden has not anywhere near reached her full potential and due to a late start in life has low points and still well within discovery for this year. She is also ready to go straight out and jump springboards and winters.

Never sick or sorry. Also lovely flat work and loves cross country she really is a fun amazing childs dream.

He is great to hack ,shoe, box, clip. I feel he would enjoy being an all round pony he would love to do some xcountry. We think would make a nice little event pony he is very brave he just keeps coming.

Archie is a true competition pony who loves his job. He excels at showjumping where he is fast and careful with a good BS record.

Qualified for bluechip in novice and discovery 4 consecutive years. Placed in 2018. Won the pony club area 13 showjumping in 2019.

He has proved himself as a little eventer with a win at BE80 and dressage of 25, and multiple other top 10 placings up to BE90. Qualified and competed at BE80 championships in 2020.

He has been an active member of pony club, attending clinics, rallies and residential camps.

He has been my daughters best friend for over 4 years but is now hopelessly outgrown. Home is extremely important as this pony is super special to us.

Archie is petite but has a big attitude, not nasty but for this reason no novices please.

Easy to manage in all ways at home and away at shows, up to date with teeth / vaccs, and will come with full wardrobe.

Ollie really is a true mothers dream , You can pop your child on board , set out with the meet and know that your child is not going to end up in the mud, He will stay up with the front jumping hedges or stay at the back and do the gates, leave the field when asked and give a lead over anything when the horses wont jump. !!

He is the Safest of Seasoned hunters and has been with our local pack at the Zetland since he was first broken, hunting is his passion and his true love so he must be sold to a home that will hunt at least a few days a season . We bought him from a pony club / hunting family and turned him into a more professional competition pony competing Bs , NSEA and HT .

He went from 0 points - 200 in the first year of his BS career with numerous wins at Poys , Scope and the nationals competing in BN, 11 & unders , stepping stones and thats just to name a few, getting placed in all the major finals.

He is an out and out XC machine , will jump the open tracks no problem and although we don't do BE he would BE up to 90 very happily

He has competed NSEA in both showjumping and Arena eventing and stands out from the crowd.

I can't stress enough how amazing this pony really is and how devastating it is to have to sell him. Had my daughter not grown so big and out of the stepping stones classes or if only we had a second child or relatives that could do him justice he would be staying in the family. However the need for horsepower forces sale and the fact that I know he will go onto produce and develop another little jockey to a very high standard.

This pony truly is worth his weight in GOLD, however he is a very safe pony he is forward going and can have the odd fly buck when he is exited or the rider holds him too tight, and just because he is a school master it does not mean you can pop your 7 year old that can't really ride on him and send them out hunting to jump big hedges. YOUR child needs to be able to ride and YOU need to know what your doing , I was always out in the field on a horse when my daughter was hunting.

Ollie was for sale in 2020 but we took him off the market in sep20 due to the pandemic and lack of movement and due to general frustration with parents not understanding where their child was in their capabilities or what type of pony they needed, we had a barrage of parents wanting to over size and over pony their children much to Ollies amusement, however he is looking for a gutsy type of kid probably around 9-11 years that wants to hunt and have lots of fun.

Ollie is a solid stamp , with 1 leg in each corner, he s never sick or sorry. He is a treat on the yard and to do in all respects and will come with his full wardrobe.

Please NO Calls for loans, leases or payment agreements.
