Kojak has a larger than life personality, he just wants to be involved in everything, he reminds me of a big old Labrador, soppy , loves his food and a good fuss and is a fantastic companion, if your having a bad day he is guaranteed to bring a smile to your face. To ride, Kojak is pretty straightforward, you kick you go you pull you stop!
He is never going to be the next Valegro or Big Star but he is a super safe hack, not a total kick along but is definitely never ever going to run off anywhere, good in traffic and open spaces, he was driven in his previous home, but we haven’t done this with him.
In the school Kojak is capable of all the basics , due to his age he needs to continue his education in this respect , his school report would read must try harder, he will go through the motions but in all honesty it’s not his greatest love!
Kojak went out on hound exercise and tub hunting this season with The Southdown Bloodhounds and he was absolutely hoof perfect, he stood beautifully and calmly when asked, he didn’t react to some of the flightier ponies around him and was just super relaxed.
Kojak has actually got a good jump on him, he tackles all the natural obstacles that we meet out hacking , logs , ditches etc, really well , he needs a bit more training over show jumps, but he gives it a go and isn’t spooky.
Kojak would make a fabulous hunting pony or happy hacker, he couldn’t care less if you are a bit wobbly or unbalanced, you can even ride him backwards and he won’t take offence!
Good to catch, load, shoe, clip etc
