It’s with a very heavy heart that we are offering Romeo for sale. We’ve owned this special boy since he was 5, and in that time he has brought us nothing but joy, fun, and plenty of cheeky moments!

Romeo is a talented and versatile 13-year-old 148cm Connemara cross gelding with a passion for jumping. He has record in British Showjumping, competing up to Pony Foxhunter level (110cm). He has qualified for and attended national championships and Pony of the Year Show, consistently holding his own in competitive environments.

For the past 3 years, Romeo has been out on loan enjoying a varied lifestyle. He has tried cross country, team chasing, hunting, and arena eventing – thriving in every discipline.

He’s competed at events such as the SWWRC Hartpury Showjumping Championship, BRC Arena Eventing Championships, and more. He’s also had wins up to 110cm and has done some eventing, proving his scope and enthusiasm.

We have mainly showjumped him as that’s what my children enjoy but he will turn his hoof to anything. Competed up to a metre.

He has been XC schooling and he jumped everything he was asked to. Has also tried working hunter and looks very handsome in the ring. He would do a decent dressage test although we have never done this.

He is a lovely natured, easy pony to have on the yard. He can live in or out and can stay by himself when others are taken in to be ridden. He’s good to hack out alone or in company. Will stand on lorry/trailer by himself. He loves the beach.

We bought Biscuit as a five year old, although she can be slightly mareish she has been handled and competed by a 12 now 14 year old girl, successfully getting DC and rosettes up to 110 classes. Biscuit has progressed massively with all spheres of work since owning her and is a quick learner.

Well behaved to load, travels impeccably, great at shows and stay aways. Good to shoe, clip and vet checks.

Hacks out alone and in company not strong or silly. She has done cross country, pony club camps, and triple clear at PC SJ team 90cm championships 2024.

Biscuit is up to date with vaccination/dentist and has physio regularly

Our fabulous pony will be looking for her next home due to my daughter moving on to horses. River is a serious competition pony, fast against the clock,  always in the red ribbons and loves her job.
 
River was a step up for my daughter who wanted to move up the levels and River has shown my daughter the ropes over the past two years. River has exceptional manners, placid on the ground and has no quirks or vices. Anyone could lead her on the ground, groom her and do daily ground work with her.
 
A careful jumper she will always help her rider out, does her own flying changes and adjusts her strides if the rider gets it wrong. Not bothered by fillers and is a jumping machine that just wants to get on with her job. For this reason, River is not suitable for a novice.
 
She has taken my daughter from competing at 60cm up to 90cm in unaffiliated showjumping as BS is just not our thing. We took River to trailblazers last year and became overall champion in the 60cm open class and placed 3rd in the 70cm class. She is unphased in a large atmosphere and is content at stay away shows, remaining her usual placid self.
 
My 13 year old daughter hacks her alone as our stables are on the doorstep of a country park. She’s also happy to hack in company but does tend to want to be up front and can be a little more excitable when with a larger group of horses.
 
As well as showjumping she has also done XC hire , arena eventing  and beach holidays and is happy to go through the water and over ditches.
 
We have done so much with River including riding on the beach, clinics, fun rides, arena hires, gymkhanas, pairs classes and show jumping. Her previous home was a very active BS home and she been successful at Scope Festival, Wales and West Pony Prem, Aintree and Arena UK.
 
Loads first time and travels quietly either alone or with another horse, she will happily stand on the lorry when at shows. We travel her in a 3.5tonne and she stands like a rock for short and long distances.
 
Good for the farrier, dentist, clipping and easy to catch. This pony has never had a day lame in the two years we have had her and has no ongoing health conditions. Will come with her full wardrobe.
 
River is a very loved pony and will only go to the best and most experienced home. She would be a fantastic second pony for a competitive child wanting to get out there and win. She is fast against the clock and a cracking jump off horse and for this reason we want her to continue what she loves, which is showjumping.  
 
Currently stabled at night but turned out every day, all year round. She currently lives in a large mixed heard but keeps herself to herself and would be happy in a paddock by herself with friends nearby.
