Tirffal Shadow Lady - Potential event pony/ HOYS/RIHS WHP.
13hh Welsh section C mare , 7 years old. We bought shadow just broken as a 5year old unseen in October 2021.
Having only just started jumping last year in April, Shadow has come on leaps and bounds this year having competed a range of disciplines from showjumping, arena eventing, working hunter, and has done some showing. She has a naturally keen and enthusiastic attitude to jumping, you can tell she absolutely loves it, always takes you to the fence, so bold and brave hence why Ive kept her longer than I had planned. She is a very forward going pony and loves her work therefore would need a competent young rider. Not a novice ride.
Arena eventing she has qualified:
- ACE arena eventing finals
- NPS Anthony Evans arena eventing final at Aston Le Walls
- Pembrokeshire county show arena eventing final
She won the WPCS performance show open sec c arena eventing class 2023.
At this show she also won the open sec c showjumping.
She qualified for the NPS novice ridden sec c final at summer champs
Overall was reserve sec c champion at this show.
She has show jumped this year up to 90cm. Has jumped a metre at home.
- Qualified for the sunshine tour at Hickstead 2023
Because she is forward she would make a cracking show jumper, not phased by any fillers and enjoys jumping against the clock.
Shadow has done lots of M&M workers this year, many novice and open classes. I believe she would also be good as a plaited worker and would definitely jump the height. Results from M&M not exc 133 cm whp:
- Qualified for the novice M&M whp final at summer champs
- Qualified for the open M&M worker final summer champs
Jumped clear and 5th at the Royal Welsh 2023
Has had a taster of qualifiers this year and always shown a good attitude, she’s ready to go on and do more of these tracks
Jumped clear and 6th at the WHP festival Hereford RIHS qualifier 2023
She has proved to be very capable of jumping these tracks and will be a serious contender for RIHS whp. Therefore she is ready for someone to take her to the next level.
We have recently been doing more xc training and derby shows and she has been loving the cross country, jumps ditches/coffins with ease as well as step ups and downs. For such a forward pony I think she would really succeed as an event pony for ODE’s, hunter trials etc purely because she is so keen and would have the stamina for it.
Loves rides on the beach, hacks out alone or in company
She is good to shoe, load, bath.
Serious enquiries only please, only to go to the best home. She has got a lot of potential and if she were bigger I would keep her.
I have put many videos of her on my YouTube - Billie-Louise Voyce. Three will be linked to this ad but there is more on my account including shadow being ridden by a 12 year old boy.
Based in Solva, Pembrokeshire, West Wales.
