TANDY – 13.2hh | 15yo | Mare | Connemara

Tandy is a lovely pony who has been there and done it all. She has spent the last few years in a racing environment and is completely accustomed to large volumes of horses, gallops and a busy atmosphere.

She has done show jumping, cross-country, Pony Club and racing. She hasn’t been a serious competition pony beyond local shows and Pony Club, but with some schooling I think she could make a lovely low-level jumping pony, absolutely loves jumping and rarely touches a pole!

Tandy has also been used as a lead-rein pony and isn’t offended by novice riders. She is forward-going without being out of control and absolutely loves having a varied life. She is currently ridden in a gag and would suit a child who wants to get on and go, rather than one looking for a dressage diva!

She can happily be ridden bareback, hacks alone or in company and is:

• Currently barefoot, but wore shoes while racing last year

Tandy does wear a chifney rather than a headcollar when being handled, as she can occasionally forget her manners. This has been the case for many years and is simply something she is accustomed to.

She does have melanomas underneath her tail, which have remained unchanged for several years. Pictures are available and full disclosure will be given to any interested buyer.

Tandy has been known to have the odd buck if she hasn’t been in much work. Her owner estimates this happens perhaps once in every 50 rides, so it is very much an occasional occurrence rather than a regular habit. For this reason, she would be best suited to a family who understands and is comfortable with this, and who will keep her in a consistent level of work to get the best out of her.

A smart, talented and exceptionally genuine full up 14.2hh flea-bitten grey mare. Looking for a knowledgeable and loving new home.

An experience schoolmistress with a successful competition record across, dressage, showjumping and showing. She is particularly talented on the flat, having consistently achieved top placings at Prelim and Novice level dressage. She has also been successfully shown to county level, with wins and numerous placings to her name.

She has competed in both Pony Club and Riding Club and is equally comfortable in company or independently. She is an adaptable and willing mare who takes everything in her stride.

A genuine pleasure to ride, she has the experience and ability to help a rider develop their confidence and progress. She has had three foals, which means she is low mileage for her age.

She is exceptional to hack and is impeccably behaved, both at home and in the arena. She is sensible, reliable and genuine, with a lovely temperament, making her an ideal confidence giver.

She is excellent to catch, box, load, shoe, clip, handle, ride in traffic and wash. She is straightforward and well-mannered in all aspects of her day to day care.

Darcy has 3 good balanced paces and a very bold and honest jump. She happily jumps 80cm courses with scope for 90cm . She never spooky and will jump all fillers show jumping and is equally bold cross country over water, ditches, steps etc. Fun and forward, but snaffle mouth. She is excellent to hack alone and in company and never phased by anything; dogs, lorries tractors, hedgecutters etc. Easy to ride and lead and good with other horses.

Darcy has he has been the most fantastic second pony for the last 2 yrs doing all Pony club activities including camps, cross country eventing, fun rides, team chasing, hunting and even pony racing. She has hunted regularly the past 2 seasons with the Ross Harriers and really is the ultimate hunter; forward without being strong or silly and will jump whatever is in front of her. 

Darcy is a real character and very intelligent and independent. She will happily stay on her own in the field or stable. She does need time to get to know a new person and can sometimes need a treat to catch. She is fine to clip her body and mane but is sensitive on her legs and head where you need a lot of patience or sedation. . Great to lead shoe, load and travel. 

Darcy is a kind and affectionate mare, but is grumpy to have her saddle put on which hasn't changed in 2 yrs so just needs to be tied on a short rope.

Has been scoped for ulcers and it was totally clear. She has also had regular physio and has had no injuries or been sick or sorry. Up to date with vaccinations, worming etc Happily lives out and low maintenance. 

Very sadly outgrown after 2 great years, Darcy is looking for a knowledgeable new home with a confident child, teenager or small adult to go out and have lots of fun. Not for anyone novice or at all nervous as she is a forward going, lively pony who suits a gutsy rider.

Beautifully Bred 6-Year-Old Mare

A beautifully bred 6-year-old mare whose dam is an RWAS Winter Fair Winner, sharing the same breeding lines as Glebedale Austin Powers, with both Glebedale and Thisledown bloodlines.

She is a straight-moving mare who has mainly been used as a lead rein pony for my nervous daughter. We've also successfully shown her locally both in-hand as an M and M LR and plaited as an SHP, with my daughter also doing Young Handler classes. She is straight moving and has no lumps or bumps. Always comes home with a rosette and is a pleasure to take to shows, happily standing on the trailer all day on her own.

She is a kind, mannerly pony who is easy to catch, shoe, and handle. She is equally happy living in or out, and children can groom and fuss over her with ease. She is sensible enough for little tots to ride and has a lovely temperament. Has also attended Pony Club.

Last summer she spent some time at a riding school to further her education, she happily jumped courses up to 70cm and quickly became a firm favourite. She is currently being ridden by a small adult to keep her ticking over, as my daughter has sadly lost interest and outgrown her.

A genuine, versatile mare with excellent breeding, a lovely kind temperament, and a great future ahead. She would benefit from a home who can continue her education as she would make a PC pony or continue in the show ring (she has HOYS potential) as either a SHP or M and M. HONEST Advert : Nelly was sold and returned. After having not been ridden since winter 2025 before being turned away, Her new owners decided after her being so calm and relaxed in the two days they had her (including being in the wash box/having a tidy up/and sitting their child on her bareback on the yard) to get straight on her on day three of being in a new home, not having been ridden since last year (fully disclosed prior to buying). She subsequently bronced down the school after being mounted and new owner came off. A slow settling in period before a restart would be the way to go.

She needs brining back into work as is a green/young pony.. so 'restarting' again hence being sold as a project. She is a quality pony and would be a lovely addition to a breeding program, however also would be a lovely ridden pony. Videos show her hacking and in the school no problems last year. She is currently turned out in a field being wasted and needs to find a new home.

** Vetting found minor issues, she is not unsound etc. but a couple of things flagged up; happy to discuss in full.**

Has had a foal as a 3 year old, proven broodmare. Carried well, easy birth and was a good mum. So could be a good addition to a breeding program.

Lunesdale Black Rose (Peggy) is a beautiful 9 year old registered Fell Pony mare out of Lunesdale Ice Queen and Lunesdale Union Jack.

We have owned and loved Peggy for three years; she has a fantastic temperament and has been a delight to own. She is fabulous to turn out, tie up, bath, clip, catch, groom, load and travel. Excellent with farrier, dentist, physio etc. so very easy to manage. She has impeccable stable manners and is very friendly and sweet by nature, not at all mare-ish. She loves a cuddle and will stand to be groomed and pampered for hours! Never known to kick or bite and never sick or sorry in her time with us. She enjoys hacking and hacks alone and in company. Stands on lorry or trailer all day. Peggy is independent, doesn't display separation anxiety, and is happy living in a small mixed herd at home with us but has also lived on a larger yard previously.

She is up to date with vaccines, teeth, and back.

Under saddle, we have taken the time to get her working well. She has an excellent conformation and is very obedient and willing in the school. Peggy has been an allrounder for us: we have hacked, attended Riding Club events and competitions, Pony Club camp, cross-country clinics and farm rides. She is a keen jumper so has potential for WHP in time. Peggy has been lightly shown at local and Riding Club level and placed 2nd in the Open Fells at Penrith Show 2026. She has the confirmation and potential for junior and open classes but would need a more experienced showing home to give her this exposure.

We have made the sad decision to sell her due to our daughters now being away at University and working away. This is a particularly hard decision because she is so easy to manage so we have kept her much longer than initially planned! She enjoys regular work but equally doesn't get fizzy after time off. Although she would happily remain a part of the family, we feel it is in her best interests now to find a new partner who can give her one-to-one time and attention to further her education and progress. She is a super little pony with a fabulous personality who, with more experience and consistency, could turn her hoof to anything.

Peggy has been ridden by a variety of ages and riders but we would prefer a small adult or teen rider - we believe this works for her although we would have no qualms about a younger, competent rider due to her great temperament. Suitable for mother/daughter share. Nobody has ever fallen off her! However, she is not a first pony, a schoolmaster or a kick-along. She takes confidence from her rider and is responsive off the leg.
