HARRY - ‘Furnish Starlight’

6yo Purebred Connemara Gelding

Born: April 2020

Height: Approx. 14.3hh – (slightly higher behind so potentially growing)

Registered: Connemara Pony Breeders Society, full green passport

Breeding:

Dam: Laurel Harp

Sire: Cullane Comet

Grandsire: Crusheen Comet

Harry is a beautiful, genuine and incredibly kind young Connemara who has become a real yard favourite. He is a leg-on, sensible ride without being sharp or fizzy, yet has the ability to step up when asked.

He’s got an old head on young shoulders making him a lovely combination of sensible and talented.

I bought Harry in March 2025 as a green rising five-year-old and have given him a varied, positive education without rushing him. His experience includes plenty of hacking, cross-country and pole clinics, arena hires and fun rides. He takes everything in his stride and has a fantastic attitude to his work.

🏆 Education & Competition

Harry is working consistently in walk and trot in a contact, with his collected canter developing nicely. He has started lateral work and is showing plenty of promise.

He’s competed at dressage scoring 62.05%, on his first outing. He scored 65% on his second competition with lovely comments again from the judges.

Harry has a lovely jump with a neat technique behind and is honest to a fence. He has jumped barrels, ditches, fillers and brushes. I have deliberately kept his jumping sympathetic to his age and development rather than over-jumping him.
