Chester is a 12.2 chestnut Irish gelding who a forward going allrounder. He is being sold due to a change of circumstance. He is 18 years old but is extremely energetic.

He loves competing and is great at cross country, dressage and show jumping, though he enjoys jumping best. He is quick and nimble around the SJ course and will sort his own legs out and look after his rider whilst having fun.

He has previously competed at Cricklands at 80cm+ and his old owners were jumping up to a metre, but in the last five years with us he has done more local pony club competitions at 50,60 and 70cm. He is also very happy trotting round a 30cm course.

He has done mounted games, competed at area level and qualified for regionals. We are looking for a confident rider because he can sometimes be strong or cheeky during hunting or cross country. He benefits from regular riding.

He is happy to hack alone or in company, and he is always well behaved in the yard. Chester is not a novice or learner pony, because he is very responsive and forward going.

He can go in a field by himself or with other ponies. He has no vices, up to date vaccinations and is easy to catch, farrier, and load, but can sometimes need encouraging. He has had shoes in the past but not with us, he has solid feet, and has never been lame. He is bombproof and is good with farm machinery, dogs and bikes. The price includes his tack and rugs.
