We’ve got that summer feeling!

It’s a busy time here at HorseQuest HQ, with Mitsubishi Motors Badminton Horse Trials just around the corner and the spring weather has arrived just in time to kick start the new competition season. We headed over to Hartpury College at the beginning of the month for the Blue Chip Championship Finals where HorseQuest sponsor the Novice, Sapphire and Coral Championships. It was great fun and fantastic to see so many of our customers in action. A massive thank you must go to the Shows Direct team, who ensured the championships went without a hitch. Congratulations to the HorseQuest UK Novice Championship winner Anna de Verteuil, riding the lovely Amadeus, Charlotte O’Conor riding Aughnacliff Boy, winners of the HorseQuest UK Sapphire Championship and Lucy Farrington riding TGF Puzzle, who clinched the Coral Championship.
Over the few days we’ll be busy preparing for Badminton which takes place on the 2nd to the 6th May. Remember to come and see us on the trade stand (259) located very near to the scoreboard, so we’re very easy to find! If you’re planning on placing an advert with us or have an existing avert, you can display it on the trade stand for an additional £15 – Badminton attracts over 150,000 visitors, so we think you’ll agree it’s the perfect place to advertise your horse!
As Badminton was cancelled last year due to bad weather we all have our fingers crossed for perfect weather conditions this year; who knows we might even need our sunglasses! We have lots of exciting things planned for this year’s event, including a course walk with our Olympic sponsored rider Sam Griffiths and some brilliant trade stand giveaways. We’re also trying to persuade our resident “Delia” to conjure up some delicious Horsequest themed treats! We’re currently giving away event tickets and spaces on the course walk, so check out the competitions page for more information, we’d love to see you all there – rain or shine!
Allie has just returned from the Wellington Winter Equestrian Festival in Florida, where HorseQuest UK’s sister company, HorseQuest America had a tradestand. It’s been great hearing all about the extended team’s adventures, it’s also given us lots of ideas for the future so we’re very excited and will be sure to reveal all soon..

Another of our sponsored riders, Louise Robson, has been busy training in Holland with German dressage team trainer Monica Theodorescu. She did manage to find the time to send us a few pics of her and Quad in action and we think you’ll agree that they look great. Louise is dedicated to producing dressage horses, specialising in Thoroughbreds, in particular ex-race horses. Not that we like to name drop, but Louise currently rides several of the Queens horses!
Right we must dash as there’s lots of Badminton preparation to do, remember to pay the trade stand a visit and in the mean time keep your fingers crossed for a rain free weekend..
