Doug has 3 impressive paces and a temperament to die for. He may be big but is a big, friendly giant, has a heart of gold and just wants to please. He loves variety and work and is the ultimate gentleman.

Doug has competed up to Novice dressage, (record available) with Elementary work at home, he loves to pop a small jump and has even taken part in equine archery. He has been on farm rides, clinics, competitions, etc on his own and in company. He does hack but is best off road hacking. He’s good for the farrier, vet, clipping and on the ground.

He is being sold through no fault of his own as he is well loved however now needs to move on to a home where someone can give him more work & time.

As he is a big boy he would suit a competent teen/young adult who would want something that they could have fun on and take out as well as compete. We would prefer him to go to a competition home where he’ll be used and taken out and about as he does well with variety.

Hacks alone and in company. Brilliant in all types of traffic. We can lead him over the fly over with traffic flying underneath you and he doesn’t blink. Lead him off the buggy to come in from the field ( very lazy I know!)

Brody is a nice genuine horse. He has no badness in him. He can throw in a buck and a squeal when excited. When out with big groups. It isn’t often but he can have his wee excitable moment before going back to being a dream. Never unseated me and I wouldn’t say I’m the next Ros Cater. Can try his luck if he knows he can. Easily tobered and takes a telling and once he knows the rider won’t take it he is good as gold
