The Stupendous Sonny!

Now, you folks will remember this happy, handsome chap was advertised a couple of months ago.

The reason he is being re-advertised is through absolutely no fault of his own.

After he was advertised, his owner was then hoping she would actually be able to keep him (and I was very much hoping this would happen as she adores him and he was the perfect horse for her) but sadly due to circumstances changing, that couldn’t happen and so he is looking for his forever human to have a ton of fun and many adventures with.

His full ad is below. I must reiterate that he has been here with me for a year on livery, firstly starting his rehab correctly and then in full work. The absolute perfect partner for a confident, experienced rider with a limited budget to get straight out and enjoy dressage and working equitation, he is extensively, classically trained both under saddle and in hand (check out the pictures of the start of the Spanish walk!)

15.1h, 9 year old Sonny is a registered British Sports Horse who is very sadly looking for his new home due to his owners non horse related injury.

Sonny has spent the last three years perfecting his fancy footwork. He is classically trained in Dressage, he’s working up to Medium level at home with established lateral work. He absolutely adores his flat work and loves to learn, putting his best foot forward at each and every session and looking a picture whilst doing so. 

He works in a soft, correct frame, no tension or behind the vertical here, his canter transitions are some of the nicest I’ve seen and his halts are a sight to behold. His stretching/free walk will definitely garner great scores in the arena. Although established, Sonny has yet to compete BD so is a blank canvas points wise and he is an absolute certainty for Petplan/Associated Championships with the right rider.

‘What about the Working Equation you speak of’ I hear you ask?? Well allow me to tell you. Sunny has been extensively trained both in this field and on the flat by Marcia Wakeman, Classical Dressage and British Working Equitation Level 3 coach and he knows his stuff - as you can see from the video!

He has been lightly competed and highly placed in Working Equitation and he has winning potential. He is working at Novice/Inter B level at home. 

Sonny is an incredibly happy chap with a super temperament and he always has a smile on his face. He loves his hacking out, he is fun and up for it but not strong, he canters in a group quite happily in front or behind. He can have the odd spook but he doesn’t have nasty bone in his body and it wouldn’t even  register on the radar of a confident jockey whatsoever. He goes out in the field in a bunch and doesn’t mind if you take his pals away, he ties up patiently on the yard, he leads in in a group from the field and he is good to catch, box, shoe and clip.

The reason Sonny is not double the price he is is that he had a hind suspensory injury two years ago. After top class veterinary investigation, treatment with no expense spared and rehab carried out to the letter, he is sound and has been on livery with me for a year in full work. Due to his history his owner is open to sensible/realistic offers as the right home is the most important thing. He is a very special, happy boy who will bring someone a lot of joy.

Sonny is looking for his perfect pal to go out and have fun with strutting his fancy stuff between the whiteboards, he is good out at shows etc, ties up nicely to the lorry and waits around patiently. An experienced, confident rider will love his happy attitude and have a long fun and success!

This super little horse is every amateur’s dream! Fun, genuine and straightforward, with a super willing attitude, excellent paces and a fantastic jump. She’ll happily take a variety of riders and always wants to please – the sort that’s becoming increasingly hard to find.

Nancy is a 15.2hh TB x Warmblood mare. Completely un-mareish, easy in every way and happy living in or out, alone or in company (with mares or geldings!).

She comes from proven lines (sire is Vegas), with her brother competing to 4* level.

Ridden by a petite 5’5 lady in a snaffle at all times.

She loves her jumping and is brave and genuine to a fence, she’ll jump any filler, has plenty of scope and is very forgiving if her rider gets it wrong. She’s been to a handful of shows and clear rounds where she’s taken everything in her stride. She’s currently popping 1.15/1.20 at home.

She’s been cross country schooling around BE90/100 including corners, hedges, skinnies and straight in and out of water. She’s forward going but not strong (full control in a snaffle!). She’d make a great eventer!

She’s also been autumn hunting once where she behaved impeccably — stood quietly at the meet, jumped ditches, hedges and rails and wasn’t phased by anything going on around her.

Nancy is great to hack, both alone and in company, and will happily lead or be led. She’s fantastic in traffic and not phased by tractors, trailers, combines, birds flying out of hedges or dogs running around her legs. My boyfriend, who had never ridden before, has hacked her too!

She’s easy to do in all ways, good to load, travel, will stand on the van alone/when another is taken away, shoe and catch (comes to her name). Doesn’t need riding every day is happy to be picked up and put down when it suits.

She’s low mileage for her age purely due to my work commitments in London and lack of time, so hasn’t been overdone and is ready for someone to continue producing her. Unfortunately, she’s now being wasted with me.

Nancy has kissing spine surgery in 2023 and was carefully rehabilitated. She has returned to full work and all videos are recent and post-surgery.

The Stupendous Sonny!

Now, you folks will remember this happy, handsome chap was advertised a couple of months ago.

The reason he is being re-advertised is through absolutely no fault of his own.

After he was advertised, his owner was then hoping she would actually be able to keep him (and I was very much hoping this would happen as she adores him and he was the perfect horse for her) but sadly due to circumstances changing, that couldn’t happen and so he is looking for his forever human to have a ton of fun and many adventures with.

His full ad is below. I must reiterate that he has been here with me for a year on livery, firstly starting his rehab correctly and then in full work. The absolute perfect partner for a confident, experienced rider with a limited budget to get straight out and enjoy dressage and working equitation, he is extensively, classically trained both under saddle and in hand (check out the pictures of the start of the Spanish walk!)

15.1h, 9 year old Sonny is a registered British Sports Horse who is very sadly looking for his new home due to his owners non horse related injury.

Sonny has spent the last three years perfecting his fancy footwork. He is classically trained in Dressage, he’s working up to Medium level at home with established lateral work. He absolutely adores his flat work and loves to learn, putting his best foot forward at each and every session and looking a picture whilst doing so. 

He works in a soft, correct frame, no tension or behind the vertical here, his canter transitions are some of the nicest I’ve seen and his halts are a sight to behold. His stretching/free walk will definitely garner great scores in the arena. Although established, Sonny has yet to compete BD so is a blank canvas points wise and he is an absolute certainty for Petplan/Associated Championships with the right rider.

‘What about the Working Equation you speak of’ I hear you ask?? Well allow me to tell you. Sunny has been extensively trained both in this field and on the flat by Marcia Wakeman, Classical Dressage and British Working Equitation Level 3 coach and he knows his stuff - as you can see from the video!

He has been lightly competed and highly placed in Working Equitation and he has winning potential. He is working at Novice/Inter B level at home. 

Sonny is an incredibly happy chap with a super temperament and he always has a smile on his face. He loves his hacking out, he is fun and up for it but not strong, he canters in a group quite happily in front or behind. He can have the odd spook but he doesn’t have nasty bone in his body and it wouldn’t even  register on the radar of a confident jockey whatsoever. He goes out in the field in a bunch and doesn’t mind if you take his pals away, he ties up patiently on the yard, he leads in in a group from the field and he is good to catch, box, shoe and clip.

The reason Sonny is not double the price he is is that he had a hind suspensory injury two years ago. After top class veterinary investigation, treatment with no expense spared and rehab carried out to the letter, he is sound and has been on livery with me for a year in full work. Due to his history his owner is open to sensible/realistic offers as the right home is the most important thing. He is a very special, happy boy who will bring someone a lot of joy.

Sonny is looking for his perfect pal to go out and have fun with strutting his fancy stuff between the whiteboards, he is good out at shows etc, ties up nicely to the lorry and waits around patiently. An experienced, confident rider will love his happy attitude and have a long fun and success!

She would win the Exmoor face pulling class, if there was one ,and has days when she shows how young and novice she is! She would suit a small adult because of her age or a competent older child who can give her confidence when she needs it. She would also make a lovely lead rein pony or broodmare, as such good bloodlines.
