Molly is a quality Irish Draught mare, well-established on the flat. She has competed unaffiliated in show jumping, ODEs and hunter trials up to 80cm, proving herself to be a bold, genuine and straightforward ride.
She has also been cross-country schooled and will confidently tackle anything asked of her – timber, ditches, water, hedges and more.
Over the summer, Molly has enjoyed numerous fun rides, riding holidays and hunt rides, both with and without hounds. She is happy in large groups, remains sensible in open spaces, and is a real pleasure to take out.
This season, Molly has already been out on several Hound Exercises with both the Crawley & Horsham and the Surrey Union. She is mannerly with hounds, stands quietly at the meet, and is equally happy opening gates, leading over fences or following at the back. She will also peel off and hack home alone without fuss.
At home, she is very straightforward with no stable vices. She is easy to catch, clip, load and shoe, stands quietly for the farrier, and is currently shod all round.
Out hacking, Molly is excellent in traffic, across motorway bridges, on busy bridleways, and in wide open spaces. She is unfazed by umbrellas, dogs, cyclists, livestock and farm machinery.
Molly would suit someone looking for a brave and reliable hunter or team chaser, but would also make a smart and versatile all-rounder.
All our horses are only ever ridden by average riders and are proven, genuine, uncomplicated types.
