Simply the best horse you could wish for. He would suit a professional or an amateur rider alike, to carry on up the levels of BE/PC/RC. Having been ridden by under 18's, he is also suitable for talented younger teens, wishing to reach the top levels of PC and beyond.
He has excelled himself at Area Qualifiers and National Championships each year. They have only just started BE100 this year, managing to gain their MER's to step up to BE Novice, (if only they had more time).
He also qualified for the BE100 ACE Winter Champs 2025, PC Novice Area qualifiers winner and BD Novice Area Festival champs.
Olaf is competing very confidently and successfully at 100/105cm now, regularly jumping bigger at home. They competing at the prestigious Chairmans Cup 105 at the PC National Eventing Championships in August, where he went double clear and placed 17th in a huge class. There are also far too many other results to list, he rarely comes home without a rosette or placing well.
We have taken our time with his training, with help from a professional rider and trainers, to become an extremely ridable, willing and very confident horse. He has had plenty of holidays to develop mentally and physically whilst growing stronger each year.
Olaf is super on the flat, producing a consistent test, usually scoring low 30's, with far more to come from his dressage. He absolutely loves his SJ and XC, demonstrating a fabulous technique. Ne never looks at fillers, water, ditches, skinnies, drops and steps.
Fantastic to hack alone, in company, or with a dog following. He is not one to hot up or get silly at any point on road or fields, but he can have a spook so not a dobbin for a novice. Olaf is such a loving horse in the stable and is a big attention seeker.
He has been our entire world since he was 4yrs old, now very sadly my daughter is off travelling and going to university. No vices, clean limbs, no medical issues, lumps or bumps or veterinary visits. Very easy to catch, shoe, load, travel and 100% in heavy or farm traffic. He behaves wonderfully at an event, standing quietly on or off the box. He is a bit ticklish to clip though.
Open to vetting. Enquiries will be asked about their ability before trying.
