Full Irish Draught Standing at approx 16.2 hh, 5 years. Breeding - by Devils Punchbowl (Crannagh Hero) out of a Westmeathe Lad Dam.

Red has been professionally backed and bought on slowly, trained using natural horsemanship methods. Time and care has been taken to give him the best possible start in his ridden life.

Red now needs a kind experienced person to take him out and see the world - not a nervous nelly like me! He is being sold from the field so please don’t expect to come and try riding him. His new person Must have experience with large, green horses.

- Groundwork: Red has done lots of natural horsemanship groundwork, flag training and been walked out in hand both alone and in company. He has started some in hand lateral work. He has been introduced to traffic.

- Ridden: Red can walk, trot and canter in the arena and is calm doing this also in an open grass field. He has done plenty of pole work including some raised poles. He has started some lateral work under saddle.

- Isn’t the type that needs riding every day. You can very much pick up and put him down. He is snaffle mouthed at all times. He is so easy to tack up it is like tacking up grandmas horse!

- Lives in or out. Hardy Irish type and goes out happily in all weathers.

- Barefoot, good Irish feet. Up to date with vaccinations and dentist. No health issues. Had two minor sarcoids removed 18 months ago and no return.

She was bred & professionally backed by an event rider in June last year, she was very good to do.

I spent the summer lightly hacking her & then in November turned her away from riding but I have continued to long rein & lunge a couple times a week just to keep her ticking over through winter (when the weather allows) once the weather improves & she’s ridden again her price will go up as her education progresses.
She is a quick leaner & with a good willing attitude to work.

I have decided I want something older that I can do more with now (2 kids & not enough time)

She has travelled in a trailer with the breeder a couple of times no problem & has been in my 7.5 lorry when I bought her.

She is shod in front-very good to do.

Has been turned out alone (horses in fields close by) currently turned out with a gelding.

Has lived out in the past, currently stables at night.

She has seen the physio, osteopath, dentist, saddler, up to date with vacs-very good for all.

Daisy was born with an easy to love genuine nature and has been nothing but a joy to handle and have around.
