Crocothago BTE (Layla) is a beautiful model of a modern day sports horse, and is sure to be serious competitor in showjumping or eventing under both professionals or amateurs alike. She has 3 athletic paces and a scopey jump, combined with a winning attitude. She is calm and friendly to handle, while being alert enough to give her a good edge in the ring. Her pedigree combines some of the best stallions who shaped modern day showjumping, such as: Carthago Z, Ramiro Z, Balou du Rouet (Baloubet du Rouet), Clover Hill and Conley. While combining this with enough blood to make her suitable for an eventing home as well.
Her sire Crocodile Dundy Z was jumped by Geoff Billington and is sired by two time Olympic stallion Carthago Z, who under Jos Lansink jumped at both the Sydney and Atlanta Olympics, he also won team bronze at the European Championships and jumped many world cup qualifiers, grand prix`s and nation cups. As a breeding stallion Carthago Z was one of Zangersheide studs elite stallions, making him one of Europe's most popular stallions attracting some of the top brood mares from serious breeders of sport horses. His maternal grand sire Ramiro Z is one of the worlds legendary bloodlines, and features in many pedigree's of international showjumpers, dressage horses and breeding horses. Progeny of Ramiro Z include Ratina Z who is one of the worlds most successful horses, winning two Olympic gold medals, as well as other prestigious championships including the world cup final.
Her dam 'Candy du Rouet' jumped as a young horse, winning the 4/5 year old championship at Wales and West show before breeding, and is by the popular stallion Sligo Candy Boy (Balou du Rouet x Conley). Sligo Candy Boy is one of Ireland's most popular stallions and is an upcoming sire of top showjumping horses, with many of his first few crops reaching 1.40-1.60 level this year. Only for sale due to myself having a number of foals due in spring, otherwise I would keep and produce for showjumping. Price will increase as I start to do more work with her.
