Very sad sale of stunning 9 yr old bay gelding.

We bought Bear 3 years ago for my 14 year old daughter. Since then they have participated in a variety of Pony club activities, camps and rallies, qualifying for Regional Championships in PC80 dressage and jumping 90cm at home.

They have hacked, hunted and taken part in many fun rides all of which he has taken in his stride and with gusto. He enjoys schooling, has a lovely soft mouth and is ridden in a snaffle.

Bear is more kick than pull, much less so out hunting and hacking in groups and is therefore not a novice ride.

Bear has a lovely, friendly, playful personality. He enjoys being around people and other horses but is also happy to be the last one left out in his field or turned out alone.

Sadly school commitments mean that we need to find him a new home.

He is great for the farrier, worming, loading and travels beautifully. He can be clipped without sedation.

No known medical issues, clean legs and has never been sick or sorry with us.

We adore him and will miss him terribly. A long term loving home is more important than price.

15.1 4yo Irish cob gelding

Larry is an absolute dream. He was recently imported from Ireland unbroken, he's taken to ridden work like a duck to water.

Larry hacks alone and in company - he's fab in traffic and open spaces and will go in front or behind.
Having only been under saddle for a couple of months he has only just started his education in the school after spending his first few weeks learning about the world hacking, however he's balanced, starting to work in a sweet but green outline with a soft mouth and he's super willing and a real pleasure to work with.

Larry has popped his first few fences and he's genuine , straight and easy. He seems to really enjoy it and always has his ears pricked to a fence.

Stands as solid as a rock to mount , unbelievably easy to handle , good with the clippers and to bath. Moves straight and correctly - big walk and canter , snaffle mouth. Forward going and responsive off the leg.

Potential to make a good show cob or he would be just as happy being a family , all round fun horse. Whichever path he goes down he will be someone's loyal best friend.
Has recently been to his first competition, he loaded and travelled like a dream, stood quietly on the trailer and scored 74.8% to come second out of a class of 17.

He has got some sarcoids , none of which are in a place which affect his tack so I am treating them homoeopathically at the moment - this has been taken into account and he's been priced accordingly. Please don't enquire if this puts you off.

16.3h bright bay 10 year old gelding.

Handsome thoroughbred who’s done a bit of everything from dressage to team chasing and everything in between. Has attended stay away shows and pony club camp with no bother. Has been produced from a 6 year old by a then 14 year old girl. Three good even paces and works well on the flat paired with a good jump. Absolutely adores his cross country but is safe and sensible. Snaffled mouthed for everything.

Super to handle and do anything with including shoe, clip, load etc. absolutely loves his hacking and does so alone or in company and can ride and lead.

Would suit pony club/riding club, mother daughter share type home. Not suitable for a novice due to his size and although he’s incredibly sane and safe, he is a thoroughbred.

Has quietly hunted through the winter with the Mendip farmers and has proved to be good with hounds, well behaved at the meet and throughout the day jumping whatever is put in front of him. He’s now done 1 training event & some arena eventing.

Has been produced quietly with the future in mind. He goes in a nice outline in walk & trot but is weak in his canter still however he is improving all the time and has not been hammered in the school!

Good to hack in open fields & on the roads in traffic. Good to do in all ways.

Would be a super kind horse for an experienced amateur to produce.

Billy is a super sweet 10yo Irish Cob Type gelding standing at approx 15.1hh.

He is well put together with a good step, natural self carriage and a genuine willingness to please. He is green in the school for his age, due to spending the majority of his career out hunting, jumping hedges, walls and logs, before he ventured over to Wales from Ireland at the beginning of the year.

He’s good to catch, clip, shoe, load and travel etc, good in traffic and is a pretty uncomplicated little horse to have around.

Billy would make a lovely lightweight show cob or equally a fabulous low level all rounder for someone willing to put a bit of time into the schooling side of his education. He would also happily carry on as a hunter and I think he would probably enjoy a bit of team chasing too if you wish.

16.1hh 12 year old sport horse gelding. Jerry is a very sweet natured, easy going straightforward horse to have around, with lots of love to give.

I have hunted him a few times, overall he was good but a bit fidgety, nothing too outrageous or dangerous, and he has got better each time he’s been out so he will just keep getting better the more he goes.

Since I’ve had Jerry I have done lots of flat work with him and both show jumping and cross-country. We also did a hunter trial which he was absolutely perfect at and did an amazing clear.

Hacks out alone and in company with no issues. Good to catch, load, travel, shoe… etc

Would also suit a low level riding club type home, as his flatwork is very good for dressage but has gone a bit ring sour over bigger fences so would suit someone looking to jump up to 80cm.

Jerry is in no way a nasty or dangerous horse but equally isn’t for a total novice.

He has previously been evented and show jumped successfully by a teenager before I got him.

Unfortunately he was recently vetted and failed on flexion on his hind, we have now found the issue and treated him, this is something I’m happy to discuss further, and his price has been reduced to reflect this also.

A 5* home is a must for this much loved horse, he’s only for sale as I prefer SJ and want to jump much bigger tracks than he enjoys.
