Gorgeous George, 2011 AES 17.3hh Chesnut gelding offering a beautiful, easy and talented ride.

Beautiful paces, would do any dressage job and he has all the gears, auto changes and is a sensible easy chap.

This lad has plenty of British showjumping experience and would suit someone who wants to go out and be in the ribbons, he’s an easy ride and a complete schoolmaster, he’s confidence giving and makes it all very easy!

A super jumping horse or a very nice, quality horse for someone wanting to do riding club (and win everything) he has a beautiful movement and a flashy presence yet remains sane and easy in all environments. He will go XC, would make a beautiful hunter and he’s bold to a ditch / rail.

Dreamy paces and snaffle mouthed at all times. He will hack out alone and in company, not bothered by heavy traffic etc, a nice sane easy big horse and a total gentleman / BFG to handle on the ground. Such a lovely horse in every way, beautiful to ride and handle, experienced and easy.

Striking 2013 Irish gelding standing at 16hh, Jet is fun, safe and talented and would make a super teenagers horse or someone who’s looking to go out and have fun.

A super hack – Jet walks out and is bold with traffic etc, he isn’t a looky sort and just wants to get on and please, will gladly go solo or in company and he doesn’t ride any different with or without other horses. Jet has three comfortable paces on the flat, we have only ridden him in a snaffle and he’s proven to be super cool and easy.

Jumping is where Jet shows his talent mostly, having done a lot of riding club activities and being a seasoned hunter, this lad excels over a fence, he’s extremely confidence giving to a fence and will just take his jockey, he doesn’t say no and he certainly doesn’t mind if you get it wrong, Jet is extremely forgiving over a fence and makes you feel like you can do it, even if you’re lacking confidence, we have jumped Jet up to 1m25 and he has the heart of a lion.

He’s a super fun allrounder and he’s fantastic in all ways, such an easy horse to have around and a super safe and uncomplicated lad to do anyone’s job.

Open to any vet or trainer.

Maisie is a competitive family horse, who could be ridden by the whole family. She is very kind and always wants to do the right thing, presenting a very trainable and malleable mind, for a young horse, she has been produced from a 2yo with care and horsemanship with her future in mind with an eventing Sire.

She is always ridden in a snaffle and a cavesson, forward thinking and easy off the leg, 3 very rhythmical paces, adjustable canter but light in the hand.

I have competed her though the winter at combined trainings at 90 and GoBE90 is now going eventing this weekend at CC. She is unfazed by busy atmospheres, she is showing a very pleasing start what should a very competitive career. Dressage judges always like her. She is your perfect grassroots contender with the ability to go further with British Eventing.

Maisie is a first class Hunter perfect manners, does gates, ditches, dykes, hedges, rivers, very sure footed and has whipped-in in Ireland giving her a deep appreciation and love for hounds and hunting.

Good feet, kind eyes, quality with bone. Good to box shoe clip.

For sale on behalf of a client- Super rising 5yr old, 16hh mare by Barely A Moment. A wonderful prospect for grassroots sport.

Faith is the definition of an amateurs dream. Since coming over from Ireland as a 4 year old, she has hunted regularly, hacked, schooled and attended clinics with her owners. She’s been ridden by both a male and female jockey in this home and has proven to be an incredibly genuine and diverse all-rounder.

She demonstrates superb Irish breeding, with thoroughbred on her sires side and Irish draft on her dam side. She has the stamina and athleticism to excel in a number of fields.

Since being with us for the last couple of months, she’s turned her hoof to the dressage boards, made her BS debut popping round British Novice tracks with ease and clear, plus cross country schooling. She’s proven to be bold with ditches, water, brush fences, steps, skinnies, etc.

Faith is an absolute pleasure to have around. She’s been ridden by myself and my grooms, proving to be incredibly level headed and mature. She hacks well alone and in company, accustomed to open fields and heavy traffic.

A lovely, long-term home sought for this wonderful mare.

The best girl ZAFFRON! Registered name - Gringo's Clover (Lines back to Clover Hill)

16.2/3 approx, 5yo mare.

Imported from Ireland last year as 'just backed' and has spent the majority of her time on English soil hacking so far with her owner (she has been based at A.E Equestrian since she arrived).

From day 1 she has been really amicable, trainable and willing. She is a real 'leg in each corner' yet athletic type, with FUN stamped all over her.

Her flatwork is basic but nice, she pops a fence and really enjoyed the handful of XC/ farm ride outings she has been on - this would be where she excels.

She would be an ideal hunter/ RC/ PC/ all-round type. We think she would be great for a tall teenager looking to move onto a horse as, although she is big, she doesn't ride big and is lovely to have about. She is certainly a horse whereby the rider and horse could grow together.

She is not without sparkle and could do any job really at amateur level.

The trot is not big, and the paces are not 'wow', but Zaffron has heart and character to put a smile on her next humans face. The type that you learn the ropes together and the next minute you are at Badminton Grassroots.

We think alot of this mare.

For sale on behalf of her owner (personal circumstances).and is open to any vetting or trainer. Videos available at A.E Equestrian facebook page.

Ellesmere, Shropshire.

Another yard star we will be sad to see leave

Bringing home the goods this year she's had a Win (Larkhill) and 2 seconds (Holnicote & Bratton Down) .... the going wasn't ideal for her - so imagine what she could do when its right

Suited to a novice race rider she knows her job and is happy to tackle the fences even when her rider is wrong - Brave and scopey. Has been successfully ridden by a novice previously. Likes to travel but isn't strong or silly.

Easy to do in the yard and gets herself fit. No stable vices, leg or wind issues.

Sensible race day attitude

A real good diesel horse to have at your stables - Ideal for a syndicate ownership as a hardy sort willing to work away every race meet.

Current trainer would be thrilled to give her another spin should new owners with to keep her in situ

This mare is sure to be in the placings next season

16h 6 year old grey gelding

Dave is a lovely 16h 6 year old Irish sports horse.

Bought as an unbroken 3 year old from Ireland, hunted with the north staffs, moorlands and meynell in the UK as a 4 year old then turned away to mature over the summer.

As a 5/6 year old he has jumped British Novice and Discovery classes, recently jumping all three days at the Wales and West 3 day June show. He was a pleasure to deal with from start to finish and showed to have a real old head on young shoulders.

He is bold and easy to a fence not spooky, shows to have a good technique with plenty of jump.

He is a leg in each corner type who has so much quality, he would also be a fantastic working hunter type. He would turn his hoof to anything.

Hes been cross county schooling many times - jumping around Novice/ Intermediate combinations. Nothing phases him, skinnies, water, ditches etc.

He has been hacking around the lane seen minimal cars and these can be a little scary, nothing silly just pushes him self into the hedge. Out hacking in fields and woods he never gets silly or stupid in open spaces.

Would suite a very ambitious young rider wanting to produce him further for any equestrian sport . Ready to go out eventing this season around 90/100 courses and would be ready for a novice by the end of the season.

Full set of clean X-Rays including neck available from a month ago.

No novices please as It’s a really hard sale for his owners. As much as they adore him and he’s everything his little owner wanted he’s proving to be one step too big for the currently 12 year old girl as her first horse.

Schooling well in an arena or grass field. Basic transitions well established. Jumping all obstacles, will only improve as he gets stronger. Gregory has a fantastic can do approach to jumping.

Reliable workman attitude at home and when out in trailer.

Old head on young shoulders when it comes to hacking. Gregory navigates a busy village solo and in company, meeting bikes, buses and lorries.

Gregory will suit someone who will get on and tell him what to do, as he still needs the education at his age, though he is in no way a complicated ride.

Super guy, straightforward at home, on the ground, travels well, easy to clip, box, shoe etc. Safe in traffic. Stables alone too.

Hunted end of 2022 season and full 2023/2024 season, out usually once a week, or fortnight depending on my work. Hedges, ditches, water, timber all super easy for him. I've taken him into hedges on my own, if I've got behind gate shutting, or he'll happily be tucked in behind the field master.

He'd be a super team chaser, or fun competition horse / fun hunter / or just a lovely horse for allrounder stuff with knowledge that he has scope.

Racing history known; privately owned by a young man, p2p as his main horse, then I bought him when he went to join the army.

Priced to sell as I live in London and have little time over the summer. He's in light work and recently been XC schooling with a friend of mine, so he's ready for someone to get comfortable with over the summer and prepare for a fab hunting season if desired!

He had a minor leg injury which he recovered fully sound from *before* I bought him, he could have gone back into racing, but the guy that raced him, then went and joined the Army. I knew of him through friends, hence he then came to me for his next chapter - hunting life! However I have never had any issues or signs of an issue; no heat or swelling and he's hunted 2.5 seasons in very tough, wet and deep country with the Blackmore Vale. Hence this is also considered in his price, as despite being sound he wouldn't pass a vetting, due to prior injury. But I personally have never had a lameness or any issue with him.

Genuine sale, as I'm looking to find him a lovely home and reduce responsibility in Dorset due to work in London and abroad; I have almost no time in the spring/summer and taken on some new work, so next season I will have less time to hunt. He's in work with part-time help, but it's expensive and I need to reduce costs.

Location: North Dorset, NR Shaftesbury. Price negotiable to right home for straightforward and happy sale. NO time wasters, or anyone seeking a day-out. Videos show his ability, and he's a lovely horse, so no-nonsense please! Would sell for 10K+ if I had more time. A good and rare honest sale for such a quality horse.

Hacks alone and in company. Good in traffic and in open spaces. Not a spooky type.

Quality 16.3hh Thoroughbred Gelding – Superb Hacker & Proven Hunter

Heartbreaking sale of a much-loved horse

Wizard is a 16.3hh Thoroughbred gelding who has been part of my life for the past three years. In that time, we’ve enjoyed two successful hunting seasons and taken part in several hunter trials. He’s also shown real promise in dressage—frequently placed, despite it not being my main focus.

 Why he’s for sale:

This is a very difficult decision, but I’m looking to pursue eventing, and unfortunately, show jumping just isn’t Wizard’s strength. Despite every effort—gridwork, weighted boots, equibands—he simply doesn’t respect poles behind. For someone not aiming to show jump, this won’t be an issue.

Hacking – Wizard is the best hack I’ve ever owned:
• Totally unfazed by traffic, livestock, heavy machinery, or plastic bags blowing in the wind.
• Opens tricky gates, stands quietly to mount, and is happy hacking alone or in company.
• I often lead my 2-year-old while riding him.
• He’ll even hack to the pub and stand patiently while I enjoy a drink—earning compliments wherever we go.
• Comfortable, balanced canter and always pulls up easily.

Hunting – Where Wizard truly shines:
• Well-mannered at the meet and jumps everything asked of him—hedges, rails, ditches—with confidence and ease.
• Will gallop across open fields and come straight back to walk on a loose rein.
• Bold, reliable, and has never refused a fence while out hunting.

Competitions:
• Competed in several hunter trials at 80/90cm with solid results.
• Frequently placed in unaffiliated dressage.

General:
• Low maintenance and doesn’t need daily work to stay calm and happy—2–3 rides a week keeps him ticking over.
• Never been lame in the three years I’ve owned him.
• Up to date with vaccinations, teeth, shoes, and regular chiropractic care.
• Lives out spring–autumn and comes in at night during the winter.
• Stands happily for hours to be groomed and fussed over.

 Worth Knowing:

Wizard can be a little grumpy at dinner time—he’ll pull faces while being fed, but it’s all show and never malicious.
I believe he may have been twitched by the ears at some point in his past (not by me), so he can be a little sensitive around them.
He is ROR eligible.
happy for him to be vetted.

If I had time for two ridden horses, he wouldn’t be going anywhere, we are located in Leicestershire

Quin is a striking, well-mannered horse with three exceptional paces, making him a joy to ride on the flat. His elevated trot and powerful canter earn consistent praise in dressage competitions, with strong scores and positive feedback from judges. Established in technical movements, he would excel in BD.

Quinn absolutely loves cross-country and confidently clears fences with enthusiasm. A forward ride, Quin has been a pleasure to school cross-country, showing natural ability and bravery.

Showjumping is a work in progress—while he gets excited at competitions, he is more careful at home and in lessons. With more practice in this discipline he will get better.

Competition & Experience:

For Eventing competitions and training, he has been ridden by a 25-year-old male

• Competed in British Eventing since age 5
• Placed in BE90 & BE100, currently competing at BE Novice with potential to go higher

Owned and ridden by a small 56-year-old woman, enjoying club camps, horse holidays, local dressage events and blue light competitions.

Previously hunted in Ireland, impeccably behaved

Temperament & Suitability:

• Easy to handle in every way—good to box, shoe, clip, hack, travel, and bath. He is a kind horse with a good brain
• Regularly hacks alone but prefers to be in company
• No vices, fit, sound, and ready to go
• Ideal for a professional or experienced amateur looking to succeed potential for national level.

Quinn has grown into a beautiful big horse and owner is over horsed therefore requiring something smaller. Quinn deserves to be out doing what he enjoys - home is very important.

Experienced competition home sought for our beautiful homebred by Bazaars Exclusive.

Bertie is a blank canvas for an experienced rider looking for a big, quality horse to bring on and fulfil his potential.

Nice big movement on the flat, and showing massive scope over a fence.

Hacks alone or in company, seen all traffic including tractors and farm machinery etc.

Been out hunting and on farm rides with family ponies, proving keen but sensible.

Tried his hand at team chasing (novice, team placed 2nd) where he was very bold and shown to be capable of going round an open.

Currently in work and competition fit, he does best in full work rather than a stop/start routine.

Will require all year round turnout as this is what suits him best.

Open to vet, up to date with vacs, teeth, physio, farrier etc. Straight forward to deal with on the ground, loads and travels fine.

Not suitable for a novice rider, experienced competitive home is a must.

Yet to start his competitive career through no fault of his own, happy to discuss full story with prospective buyers.

This is our last homebred as we are giving up horses, we'd like to keep in touch and follow his progress.

16’2 Irish Gelding 14 years. Unrecorded breeding but ID type. A superb horse for someone on a restricted purchase budget who is willing to accommodate managed allergies. We are in no rush to move him on so the right owner and home is the priority.

Stan has been with us for seven years and is a really lovable character who Jumps, hacks and has hunted. He has been on horse holidays and stay away camps. He will school in an arena and is obedient. He will look after his rider around a course of SJ. Stan is fabulous to handle and do - catch, clip, shoe, teeth etc. Fully up to date with vaccinations / teeth etc

Stan is a real dude ! He has a brilliant personality and is alert and aware of his surroundings. Stan is a safe and very genuine horse but takes his confidence from his rider and so is not for a beginner, novice or nervous person.

Stan is offered at a very realistic price due to his allergies which we have successfully managed. He suffers with itching / sweet itch - he has the annual insol vaccination and this works for him - no mane rubbing or being driven to distraction by midges so it is worth every penny to do this for him (annual Insol cost atm £240). Stan in the Summer when pollen is high will nod his head on occasions when being ridden and so we do feel he is a mild head shaker. We manage this riding him in a PE Lycra face mask with a nose net and ear / eye nets. Stan has never been lame, sick or sorry across our entire ownership and full veterinary history is available to a buyer. Stan is being advertised at this time of year for total transparency and for prospective buyers to see a genuine representation of him. In Winter Stan is not affected at all with climate conditions. In Summer - the limitation would be considering shorter rides or early morning outings for him on the days where pollen etc affects him.

An ideal home may be with someone who wants to hunt throughout Autumn / Winter and then lightly hack in Summer. Or someone who wants an all rounder all year through but is content to hack / ride to fit around Stan rather than Stan needing to fit around an inflexible schedule. Stan is a really smart family horse who is offered for sale at a realistic price to reflect his allergies. A private long term home is sought and we would like to stay in touch with future owners.
