Didi (My Ballinaglogh Wendy).
16HH 5yo Mare. Passed a 5 stage vetting in November 2025.
Sire: Dignified Van't Zorgvliet
Dam: Britney B
Didi is the sweetest and easiest horse to have around. She has been produced slowly allowing her to grow but she is now cracking on with work and although green/weak on the flat, she is learning quickly and has a really trainable brain. This winter we have really focused on her flatwork/strengthening and has been very willing and trying, it won't be long before she quickly steps up the levels in any discipline. She is never strong and is snaffle mouthed at all times. Recently Didi has been out to arena hires, Cross Country schooling and is proving to be brave and genuine. She loves her jumping and has a wicked jump in her, someone would have lots of fun with her and I imagine she would be quick against the clock being small and compact. Happily schooled around 1m10 tracks and over 80/90cm Cross Country fences - she LOVES water and will pop up and down banks and over ditches! Very rarely she can do the occasional 'cat leap' but this is nothing scary, malicious or unseating - I can ride her through it easily and I'm by no means the most confident rider.
Didi is currently being ridden by a amateur but feel her talent is being wasted here and would thrive in a more competitive home where she can also continue her education. I purchased her back in November last year and admittedly having been out the saddle for 3 years prior to this, I have slightly over horsed myself and would like something that has more education under their belt. This is a sad sale as she is a cracking fun little mare with a bright future ahead of her.
Lovely to do in everyway, good to shoe, worm and will fall asleep being clipped.
She loves hacking, is good as gold and will happily go in front or behind. She currently hacks over the M25 bridge and round the fields running parrel to it and she has not put a foot wrong. She hasn't done much hacking alone so can be a little bit tense but gets confidence from the rider and the more she does the better she is getting.
Travels on a lorry and in a trailer alone or in company and stands by the lorry quietly.
Happily be turned out alone or with mares/geldings.
Up to date with vaccinations, physio, dentist etc.
*Does have a sarcoid in her armpit - this is reflected in her price*. It has never caused her any problems and has not changed at all. Vet has looked at it and was happy to leave it without any intervention. She is covered by the Agri Equine Lifetime policy in which these sarcoid are covered under - happy to transfer her insurance to her new owner so these remain covered by insurance for the rest of her life.
