Rondo is a really lovely and easy horse to have on the yard. She’s incredibly hassle free to be around and not ‘mareish’ at all.

She’s been really easy to settle into our routine and just slots in. She will be a great addition to anyone’s string over the winter ready for next season. She’s a super horse for many jobs.

She has competed upto 110 with amateur riders. She has a nice balanced canter, snaffle mouthed and takes you nicely to a fence. She’s not spooky or silly.

A nice easy and good looking well bred mare, super contender for a competitive amateur.

Not for a complete novice due to age

FS Mayday Duchess, known at home as Darcy, is a stunning 16.1hh 4-year-old homebred mare who oozes presence and quality. Beautifully put together, with plenty of blood and scope, she always catches the eye wherever she goes.

Darcy was broken and produced this year and has just started her British Showjumping career — showing huge promise for the future. She is the perfect type to continue up the showjumping ranks or to develop into a top eventing prospect.

Darcy has made an impressive start to her competition career:
• Qualified for the British Novice Regional Final 2026
• Two double clears at Discovery, including one win

She’s also been schooled over cross-country fences, taking everything in her stride — bold, brave, and really enjoys her work.

Temperament & Rideability

Darcy is a lovely, kind mare with a willing attitude.
• Ridden in a snaffle at all times
• Works very well on the flat with good paces and balance
• Hacks alone or in company, and is not fazed by farm machinery or activity (no roadwork due to London location)
• Good to clip, shoe, box, travel, and catch

She can be a bit of a face-puller in the stable, but is straightforward and easy to do in every other way.

Her sire Moreno Grove from the Übertje tribe is made for the eventing sport! This young stallion, already ‘approved’ by the AES, is blessed with a top character and has a lot to offer to grow into greatness.

Janneke Boonzaadjer trains Moreno Grove with great success: in 2021 she won the Dutch Eventing Young Horse Trials with the dark brown stallion and she stood out positively in the Blom Cup, the competition for show jumpers.

He is currently eventing to 3* level , at medium level in dressage and jumping 135cm classes as a 8yo…. A purpose bred eventing sire from the top 160 sire herald ….

Zippy flat work is very good with a soft mouth, works well in an outline and snaffle mouthed always. Good changes

Zippe has a 1.25m record in Holland and has been jumping successfully with us here in the uk.
