TALLULAH – Exceptional Homebred 5YO Black Mare

A very genuine and extremely difficult sale due to personal circumstances. Tallulah has been lovingly homebred and owned privately all her life, and we are only seeking the very best home for this much-loved mare.

Tallulah is an exceptionally well-bred 4-year-old black mare by Campagne Z (Calido) out of a Namelus R mare, giving her outstanding breeding for the showjumping sport. She is a striking young horse with quality, presence, blood, and a lovely athletic way of going. Alongside her jumping ability, she moves well and has shown herself to be naturally bold and brave over cross-country fences, making her an exciting prospect for either showjumping or eventing.

She has recently begun her ridden production in a carefully selected professional yard, having previously been allowed plenty of time to mature naturally at home. Unlike many young horses, she was not overproduced or pushed as a youngster and has only very recently started her education.

Tallulah has already attended a couple of training shows where she has proven to be brave, careful, and genuine, giving every indication that she will develop into a very smart competition horse for the future. She absolutely loves her jumping and really enjoys her work.

She has a super temperament, loves attention, and is a forward, fun ride. As expected for her age and stage of education, she can still occasionally be spooky at things around the arena, although never at the fences. For this reason, she is not suitable for a novice rider and would benefit from someone experienced with young horses who can continue her education correctly.

This is a heartbreaking sale of a much-loved family mare, and finding her the right private home is of the utmost importance to us.

her sire Contagio Z is a stallion that competes at the highest level in the sport, and holds an interesting bloodline with offspring winning at top levels. With Gerrit Nieberg in the saddle Contagio Z won the GP of Frankfurt and the Nations Cup of Denmark, amassing an impressive roll of honour. Contagio Z is a horse with a modern build and his riders all praised him for his intelligence and good grasp of the course, his large gallop and love to perform. 

Sire - Colman was a solid performance horse, energetic, full of elasticity and had an amazing jumping capacity. Colman won his 100 day jumping test and was placed in the top group overall. Colman is a son of the international show jumper Carthago. Dam's sire Lord became one of the most famous stallions of the Holsteiner breed. He has produced top horses such as licensed stallion Chin Chin, Colmander, L.B Convall etc. 

Damline - Odyssee II is a district premium mare by the great sire Lordanos who is known for winning nearly 40 young horse classes. He was successful in 1.40m and 1.50m classes for more than eleven years, with the entire Sosath family, including winning a puissance at a height of over 2 metres under Janne Sosath. Her second dam is by sire Cassini I who has produced140 grand prix offspring, and 144 licensed sons, this is strong damline is an incredible mix with the power of Contagio's sire. 

Progeny - The Contagio Z offspring are extraordinary, from a small group of offspring more than twenty horses are active at 1.50+m levels. Each and everyone are modern horses, with heaps of blood, fast in the foreleg and with positive characters! His crop includes the popular horses such as Contagious whose triumphs include wins in the 4*GP of Upperville and the Nations Cup of Wellington under McLain Ward. Holger Wulschner won the GP of Wiesbaden with Catch Me T and Philipp Weishaupt’s Coby 8 and Henrik von Eckermann’s Best Boy 2 are also sons of our new addition Contagio Z!

her sire Camargo has jumped to 160cm level with international rider luciana Deniz and has had a stellar career.

His father in turn , Canturano , was the last licensed son of the great Cantus I. As a five- and six-year old, Canturo competed in the Bundeschampionate finals. Aged seven he reached the finals at the World Championship for young horses in Lanaken. At eight, he won and was placed internationally at Wien, Rome, La Baule and the Swedish Derby of Falsterbo. As a nine-year-old, Canturo won in Spruce Meadows and was nominated for the Olympic Games, and in 2005 he was the winner of the prestigious Aachen grand prix. 

Damline - Camargo's dam Fit For Fun needs no introduction, as one of the best grand prix horses at top level. Under Portugal's Luciana Diniz, 'Fitti' finished 9th individually at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games, and has also competed at two European Championships, and a World Cup Final. Fit For Fun has won more than €600,000 on the GCT circuit alone, winning the season-finale Doha GCT Grand Prix in 2015 to take the overall 2015 title, ahead of Scott Brash and Rolf Goran-Bengtsson. Her sire For Pleasure has been described as the 'Horse of the Century'. With his suppleness, scope and attitude being reliably passed on to his foals, For Pleasure is in as much demand today as he was during the height of his career. He retired at the age of 20, having won his last ever class, the Leipzig World Cup qualifer, and having been sound for his whole career before a tendon injury aged 19. His international career was exceptional; he was on four gold-medal-winning teams for Germany; two Olympic Games (Atlanta 1996 & Sydney 2000, where they finsihed 4th individually), and two European Championships, at Hickstead in 1999 where he was 5th individually, and Donaueschingen in 2003. Simba has been with us since a foal and has been part of our young horse herd over the years. He’s turned into a beautiful horse, with fantastic attributes for the sport.

He has been produced slowly by a lady rider who has 2 young children.

He would really suit a young rider / amateur rider who wants a nice uncomplicated horse for the future.

Simba has jumped several doubles clears this year in Discovery & Newcomer classes. He has a great technique & a lovely attitude to life. He’s not a spooky ride in the ring, he’s brave and always tries to do the right thing.

He rides beautifully on the flat, with 3 balanced paces, flying changes both ways. He hacks out alone or in a group, he’s been XC schooling and really enjoyed it. He’s been a pleasure to produce through the years and is looking for his next rider to take him to the next level and prove his talent due to a lack of time & mum life.

He’s good to travel, load, clip, handle in all ways.
