Super fun mare, has done British showjumping to 1m05 and has 288 points. Good BS record. Loves to jump. Has also been borrowed by a less experienced friend and jumped some unaffiliated classes at 90 and 1m, placing every-time out. Works in an outline in all 3 paces. Has good flatwork knowledge including shoulder in, leg yield, counter canter, half pass etc. She is good to hack both alone and in company, good in traffic and open spaces. She was involved in a photoshoot for the sun, and behaved perfectly. She’s also been to the beach twice and even swam in the sea.

She is forwards going to ride and can sometimes be a little buzzy for example she sometimes does a few jog steps on a downwards transition to walk.

Good to do in all ways, very easy horse. Lovely on the ground, good for farrier (has been kept barefoot all her life due to having good feet), good for loading, travelling, clipping etc. She likes other horses and gets on well with both mares and geldings. No health issues, never had any ‘maintenance’ /joint injection or soft tissue injury etc.

I’ve had 2 foals out of her. I only bred a foal as it’s always been my dream to have a foal out of her. Genuine sad sale, my own significant health issues force this. Owned her since a 4yo and would love to stay in touch. Good home paramount. She’s fit and in full work, I’ve got an inexperienced 17yo helping me out riding her as I am not well enough to ride regularly currently. Halo is a talented mare that has been my daughter’s first horse after ponies. She does have power so wouldn’t say she is suitable for a first horse if coming out of a riding school.

Since owning Halo she has attended arena hires, regular jump clinics and showjumping competitions. She is perfect to hack alone or in company and can be hacked out on the buckle.

Halo is a forward-going mare with a cracking scopey jump, she is bold and brave to a fence and particularly excels at Cross Country. Halo has previously hunted and would make a fab ladies hunter, team chaser and fierce competition at Hunter Trails.

Halo has been out competing between 60-80cm at several unaffiliated showjumping shows, qualifying for Trailblazers this year. Halo can have the occasional pole down with my daughter wanting something more competitive in showjumping as this is her main passion and focus.

Halo can work in an outline however my daughter has no interest in dressage or flatwork and I do feel with more flatwork Halo would excel more with the precision of showjumping.

Halo is snaffle mouthed and not strong, sharp or silly. She has no vices or health issues and has been the perfect first horse for my daughter. Halo’s behaviour both at home and out competing is impeccable.

On the ground, Halo is an absolute pleasure. She loves attention and will happily stand to be groomed, bathed and fussed over all day. She has excellent stable manners, is good to handle, and is currently turned out during the day in a large mixed herd. Halo has been stabled at night and has also lived out 24/7 whilst with us and adjusts well to either.

Halo is perfect to load and walks straight on the box, she is good to clip, shoe and do everything with. She is up to date with jabs, shoes (fronts), teeth, physio, saddle check and worming.

Halo is an easy going mare, not mareish at all and can be left in the field alone when taking other horses out to ride without an issue.

Halo has previously had a foal, her history is well known, we are still in contact with her breeder and all previous owners, she is still a relatively low-mileage horse with plenty of potential.

She would thrive with someone who is willing to put more flatwork into her, take her out regularly, be consistent and build on the excellent foundations she already has.

Iris works nicely on the flat is well schooled with three rhythmic paces and light in the hand, always snaffle mouthed. Scores very well within the dressage boards being naturally eye catching showing great potential for this sphere.

Jumping she is bold and careful yet honest, going off any stride, she will jump anything put in front of her taking care of her rider from start to finish. Iris has been to cross country arena schooling with a teenage 14 year old girl where she really excelled herself. Was completely unfazed, jumping solid fences, ditches brushes, banks, steps and happily walked through the water!

She has also been out to arena hires/training shows for show jumping once again unfazed jumping fillers water trays or busy collecting rings etc. A very straightforward genuine ride always wanting to please the rider, a more forward ride so with time can see no reason why she wouldn’t easily be within the placings.

She loves hacking and would go all day, hacks alone and in company, first or last. Good in traffic and open spaces, stays in a rhythm that the rider is comfortable with, never silly or strong, unfazed by buses bikes etc also good with deer sheep etc.

Iris is good to do in all ways, she has the most affectionate and loving personality. Enjoys spending time with you, being groomed and fussed. A real kind level headed genuine mare that is a pleasure to own.
