Meet Isla, a short coupled, compact mare with presence and a fantastic brain. Isla is showjump bred but her heart is on the flat. She’s a willing forward ride and genuinely enjoys her school work.

Isla, at her first BD stay away show had 3 seconds and a 1st with good percentages and is part qualified for the prelim winter regionals. She will be perfect for someone to produce correctly up through the grades. There is a short video of her schooling XC over baby fences and showjumping but this is not the home we are looking for.

She is willing, forward, intelligent and needs a knowledgeable, ambitious home to continue her education, she would excell at riding club dressage and definitely be a team member.

Hacks alone and in company around our quiet country lanes and fields. She is not traffic proof. Good to catch, load and shoe.

Freddo is an unbroken youngster who came directly from the breeder in Ireland. He has been allowed plenty of time to mature and grow at his own pace, and he’s now ready to start his education.

He’s a lovely, kind natured horse who is a pleasure to have on the yard. He’s well handled and enjoys being around people. He absolutely loves attention and will happily stand all day to be groomed, scratched, and fussed over.

Freddo is good to catch, lead, stands to be groomed and bathed, and is well mannered in and out of the stable. He loaded and travelled very well on his way over from Ireland, and has taken everything in his stride.

Works in an outline in all 3 paces. Has good flatwork knowledge including shoulder in, leg yield, counter canter, half pass etc. She is good to hack both alone and in company, good in traffic and open spaces. She was involved in a photoshoot for the sun, and behaved perfectly. She’s also been to the beach twice and even swam in the sea.

She is forwards going to ride and can sometimes be a little buzzy for example she sometimes does a few jog steps on a downwards transition to walk.

Good to do in all ways, very easy horse. Lovely on the ground, good for farrier (has been kept barefoot all her life due to having good feet), good for loading, travelling, clipping etc. She likes other horses and gets on well with both mares and geldings. No health issues, never had any ‘maintenance’ /joint injection or soft tissue injury etc.

I’ve had 2 foals out of her. I only bred a foal as it’s always been my dream to have a foal out of her. Genuine sad sale, my own significant health issues force this. Owned her since a 4yo and would love to stay in touch. Good home paramount. She’s fit and in full work, I’ve got an inexperienced 17yo helping me out riding her as I am not well enough to ride regularly currently. Iris works nicely on the flat is well schooled with three rhythmic paces and light in the hand, always snaffle mouthed. Scores very well within the dressage boards being naturally eye catching showing great potential for this sphere.

Jumping she is bold and careful yet honest, going off any stride, she will jump anything put in front of her taking care of her rider from start to finish. Iris has been to cross country arena schooling with a teenage 14 year old girl where she really excelled herself. Was completely unfazed, jumping solid fences, ditches brushes, banks, steps and happily walked through the water!

She has also been out to arena hires/training shows for show jumping once again unfazed jumping fillers water trays or busy collecting rings etc. A very straightforward genuine ride always wanting to please the rider, a more forward ride so with time can see no reason why she wouldn’t easily be within the placings.

She loves hacking and would go all day, hacks alone and in company, first or last. Good in traffic and open spaces, stays in a rhythm that the rider is comfortable with, never silly or strong, unfazed by buses bikes etc also good with deer sheep etc.

Iris is good to do in all ways, she has the most affectionate and loving personality. Enjoys spending time with you, being groomed and fussed. A real kind level headed genuine mare that is a pleasure to own.
