Diesel is a stunning powerful horse who has successfully evented BE and taken National RC titles.

He can feel like the bravest horse who will jump anything but then suddenly have a stop and despite my very best efforts I couldn’t address this issue.So he’s never going to make the eventer I want him to be.

He is the kindest, sensitive,most loving horse who is easy to do in all respects He’s super talented at dressage , has fabulous paces and is a pleasure to train.

I have really enjoyed learning the joys of dressage with him.

His BD record is impressive but due to a personal situation I did no competing for 18 months and my heart is really not in dressage.

Last time I took him out he was spooky in his first test and did some wonderful clean correct changes(judges comment!) that were not part of the second test!


He needs a home where he is one on one with someone who wants to bring out his huge dressage talent ( and is a more accomplished dedicated dressage rider than me!)

He must only go to someone who will get the sensitive nature of this horse- he needs to be loved-getting cross with him doesn’t work( I know having done it!)

Freddie - 15.3hh TB 8 years old

Fred was raced a few times and retired sound in 2022 with no lumps, bumps or vices.

He is passported, microchipped and up to date with vaccinations, worming, teeth, farrier and physio.

Fred is good to handle, load and clip. He stands well for the farrier and is currently shod. He comes to call and is always one of the first to greet you. However, he can be impatient at times so needs someone confident. He’s not nasty but is still young and will fidget and try his luck if he can.

Fred is your typical TB forward going ride so wouldn’t be suitable for a novice. He is never nasty under saddle and hasn’t bronked or bolted but has thrown an excited buck and will occasionally jog on the way home from a hack. He has been for canters in open spaces and pulls up fine going first or last. He likes to look at things when out and about but isn’t dangerous or unkind. He is good in traffic and has seen farm machinery.

Fred has done a bit of everything; Hacking, Schooling and jumping. He schools nicely in all three paces but is still slightly unbalanced due to inexperience. He’s been over coloured poles and rustic fences in both an outdoor and arena setting. All of which he seemed to enjoy proving honest and forward towards a fence.

Unfortunately, I have accepted that I do not have the confidence to do more with Fred and have realised he would be better suited to someone confident who wants to go out and so some all around local event. With the scope to do more.

Fred has had sarcoids removed in the past with no ongoing issues or reoccurrence. As well as treatment for ulcers which have been given the all clear by the vet. All of which we are happy to discuss with future owners.

He has a fitted saddle and bridle which can be sold at extra cost.

He can be tried at current yard with excellent hacking facilities and a large outdoor.

Unfortunately due to personal circumstances Tiger is up for sale. Tiger is a loveable character with a few quirks therefore needs a confident, experienced rider.

Good bits:
Tiger is lovely to handle, lead, catch, groom etc.
He is totally handsome!!
Has been ridden by my 12y/o daughters.
Has competed unaff showjumping.
He loves hacking, never gets strong or silly, great in traffic & open spaces.
He has a lovely jump, happily pops round 80cm course, jumped 1.15 at home.
He has very flashy, floaty paces.
Gets on well with others, currently in an all gelding herd but has been with mares no problem.
Happy to live out during Summer months (likes a stable in the winter)

Not so good bits:
Tiger isn’t suitable for a novice rider, he is a clever horse and knows when he has a nervous nelly on board.
He can throw a buck, it won’t happen however if you can feel it coming and can get him moving forward & this has only ever happened a few times in the school never out hacking.
He is a bit of a pansy, likes to look at silly un-scary things, but again if you are confident and get him working then he’s fine & he will only shy away and passage past!
He really takes confidence from his rider, kindly & confidently is how he needs to be ridden.
He can take a while to load (depending on how he is feeling that day) although he always goes in if you walk behind him with a lunge line.
He weaves when in on his own or at feed time.
He isn’t keen on being out in the field on his own but fine if he can see others (or sheep in the distance!)

I feel that he would be best suited to a home where he is hacking lots, some jumping and occasionally schooling.
