Dysalau Daphne Dubh is a pure bred Irish draught Mare by Dysalau Dewi Dewr, she has Hillview farm Milligan, Rhythm & Blues, Kensons King William, Echo King Breeding. She was scanned in foal to a colt by Aye Aye Skipper last autumn due July 2026.

Dubh has been slow grown not pushed she has lived out on good hay and grass and left to mature, she has not been pressured, she is very confident and willing, straight moving, wide chest and a broad body and enormous bum. she is still maturing with a fine head .

Her mother was sold to the household cavalry, and Dubh has the same very steady personality, she doesnt panic over anything. she is happy even at this young age to just be on her own, come away from the others, but if we are honest she actually likes people more than horses.

She is willing to have a go and loaded on the trailer in the field first time, she has had a life of being a horse and so she knows no negativity to anything, she has total trust in people. She will be a solid addition to a breeding program or as a ridden horse.

She has Black and Dun breeding in her and although she is possibly in foal to a grey Irish draught her black breeding is more sort after.

My young grandchildren have sat on her in the yard and been led round but she is not backed, just played with

Previously purchased as a confidence giver however has been known to nap and will take advantage of a nervous rider, she is best suited to a confident and capable rider, she has been to local shows in the past and also has been used as a broodmare.

Due to lack of time, facilities and confidence she is not suitable for me and is offered for sale from the field as a project as shes not been worked for some time

Good to handle, well behaved for the farrier, dentist, chiropractor and to clip and up to date with worming. Good to catch, happy to live out or in.

With the right work/home there is no reason she will not return to ridden work.

Raced a handle of times as a 3yr old before being retrained. Been with the current owner for the last three years where she predominantly just hacked proving great in open spaces, good in traffic and happy to hack alone or in company.

She has been ridden in the arena and seen coloured poles which is loved but is very green with that side of her ridden career.

Bred a foal last year and foal really easily so would be an asset to a stud as a broodmare.

Lily is an mature mare with plenty still to offer. She is a sweet, genuine horse who has previously been a broodmare and has been coming back into work over the last year. She is a beautiful, well-put-together 15.1hh mare. She is been ridden by two competent 17-year-olds and has shown potential in everything she done. She's good with traffic and large farm machinery.

She also has good manners on the ground, enjoys her groundwork, she loads, stands quietly for the farrier, and is regularly handled and ridden on a busy working farm. She will happily come in from the field on her own, and can be ridden in the school or out hacking.

On the flat, she produces a lovely, natural shape with a soft snaffle mouth and three balanced paces. She is showing real promise in her schooling, with a naturally rhythmical way of going and a good attitude. Her movement is correct and attractive, and she will only improve further with continued work and strength-building. She enjoys jumping, always try's her best, however sometimes needs an extra squeeze for reassurance, she is not strong to a fence, with a snaffled mouth.

She will live in or out. She has had two foals in the past and was ridden before breeding, since she has been bought back into work she has made good progress. She currently lives out 24/7 in a mixed herd of geldings and mares. She likes her personal space and will politely tell other horses to move if needed, but settles well within a herd environment.

Lily would suit a experienced and capable teen or adult rider, looking to enjoy continuing to bringing her on and developing her potential, as she is a intelligent mare she would take advantage of a rider who lacks knowledge or confidence, with the occasional nap. She is good to handle, good with dogs, used to livestock, having lived with sheep and seen cows and pigs. Confident and calm when travelling on a lorry, having attended a local show with other horses, and good with farrier, dentist & vet.
