Traditional Irish Cob Stallion | 2018. An exceptional choice for discerning breeders and cob enthusiasts overseas.

Standing at 14.1hh with traditional bone, heavy feather, and striking presence, Leonardo DaVinci carries some of the most sought-after bloodlines in the Irish Cob world.

Sired by the legendary Morrison van Gipsy Dreams ("DAVINCI"), who was a son of Toyboy Jnr by the original TOYBOY John Pratts horse.

Leonardo is out of the iconic mare "OLD BLACK BETTY", who was a daughter or grand dauther to the LOB EARED HORSE , renowned worldwide for producing heavy, true-to-type cobs with substance and hair.

Leonardo shows all the qualities these names are famous for—abundant feather, thick mane and tail, traditional build, and a kind, willing temperament.

This is a stallion of international quality, ready to bring proven, respected bloodlines to a breeding program abroad.

MurrayHall Kuga (Jac) rising section D out of Sire: Murrayhall Cadafael Arbennig x Dam: MurrayhallAdaline

Jac is a 7yr old Welsh D who has a big personality. He loves to hack (has been known to nap on his own but I take him out regularly by myself) and is green in the school but has potential. He loves to jump but again is green and needs showing the ropes. He is not a straightforward horse so absolutely no novices. He can be extremely nappy and opinionated.

In the two years I’ve owned Jac we have been out to XC, beach rides, arena hires, qualified for sunshine tour (dressage) and been out unaffiliated jumping. He has also been ridden by a 17yr old in PC rallies.

He would need a confident and experienced owner looking to bring on a project/is experienced with his breed. Barefoot and good to clip I have lots of information/videos/pictures so please message me for more details.

14.3hh traditional cob gelding

12 years old

Up to date with vaccinations, teeth, worming, physio and farrier

Barefoot

Passported and microchipped

He is a true leg at each corner! He is great fun and very much enjoys having a job. He is very low mileage and green for his age as he was a pet and companion before coming to me.

He has been professionally broken, ridden away and produced by myself and is now ready to find his forever home. Please note: I am the rider in the photos and I am 5ft10

He has been started slowly and correctly and is a very honest and genuine horse to work with, he is great fun and I think he would very much enjoy getting out and seeing the world. He is definitely a cob that loves to have a job! He is forward thinking and responsive to ride but also has very good breaks. He is green for his age so I am looking for an experienced home to continue his education, so no novices please.

He happily lives in or out, is very well mannered and good to do.

He is working well in walk, trot and canter and over poles. He will happily pop a jump and has plenty of scope. He will make a fantastic allrounder, someone is definitely going to be very lucky to call him their new best friend! And he will be sorely missed.

He hacks alone on our gallops but has not hacked in traffic due to our location, the roads are just too dangerous to ride on. However he has seen a wide variety of large vehicles while he has been with us as we have had a lot of construction done on the yard. So he has seen all types of farm machinery and tractors, diggers, dumper trucks, rollers, cement mixer Lorrie’s, all sizes of wagons, wagons tipping loads. So providing he was introduced to traffic sensibly as you would any young/green horse, then I can’t see him being a bother.

Forever homes only please, no novices, no loans, no payment plans.

Serious enquiries only please.

I will not sell him unseen so please don’t ask. Homes will be vetted.

Based East Riding of Yorkshire

Messages preferred please as I am very busy right now, if I feel you potentially might be the right match/home for him calls can be scheduled

DO YOU HAVE A HORSE OR PONY SUITABLE FOR THE RDA?

WANTED ON LONG TERM LOAN / PURCHASE

Ref #: 249896
  • If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below
  • If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below

One of the main issues that RDA groups face is finding an Equine to suit the needs of the participants in their group.

We are regularly contacted with offers of Equines that are ‘the ideal RDA horse or pony’ when actually what is ideal for one group may not be for the next. We are trying to move away from the stereotypical view that RDA Equines are elderly and somewhat static, our horses and ponies need to be fit, healthy and athletic to cope with the lifestyle in an RDA group.

They can range from smaller, forward going ponies to weight carrying cobs and can take part in a range of disciplines from Riding to Carriage Driving, Vaulting to Show Jumping and Endurance.

If you contact an RDA Group about your Equine please be prepared to fill in an Equine Initial Interest Form which will ask you many questions about your horses’ temperament, health history, experience and lifestyle. Many groups will prefer to have an equine on trial to make sure they are suitable for the job.

For long term loans and purchases they will also be required to have a Pre-Purchase Examination.

If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below.

Pricilla is a lovely 15.2 aprox, 7yo homebred coloured cob mare. Shes super sweet to ride, hacks alone and in company and is fabulous in traffic. She is great in open spaces, happily canters through the fields and doesn’t get silly or strong.

Pricilla has done loads of hacking, she’s done some arena work and walks trots canters around the arena very well, hasn’t been asked to work in a outline but no reason new owner can’t teach her. Shes very trainable and willing. She loves her jumping and jumps anything you put in front of her. She makes a nice shape and is easy to and from a fence.

Pricilla would suit someone that wants to enjoy hacking, fun rides, low level riding club activities, and she would suit most people. However we don’t want to see her to a complete novice or nervous person as I do believe she will take the Micky if doesn’t get given clear boundaries like every horse needs.

She is good as gold to shoe, box, travel, catch etc and is so easy to deal with in and out the stable. Everyone on the yard rides her and she’s very uncomplicated. Not the type that needs to be ridden every day and happily lives in or out. She is with us on sales livery, full history is known as she is a homebred. No vices

Toby is a fab traditional. Would excel in showing or dressage as he is very flashy with a stunning rocking horse canter. Second pony type. Suit a competent teen, small adult.

Rides well in the school. Loves a jump. Done camps, fun rides, arena hires, beach rides always behaves. Hacks alone, front or last, in all traffic, loose dogs no issues. Brilliant to turnout, easy to catch comes to call.
Rider in pics and videos is 5ft 8.

Good for farrier, used to standing for hours getting mane and tail brushed and plaited.

Travels and loads well on box or trailer. Used to going out as we go few times a mth.

Sedation to clip and dentist. Had new saddle fitted December.

Would make a fab happy hacker or a fab showing or competing home!! Previous owner done xc with him.

We've owned him for 4 years. Only selling as daughter keeps growing and is wanting to jump bigger and move onto horses.

Very sad sale. Loving home most important. Comes will full tack and wardrobe
