Very sad sale of our sweet and loving mare Bonnie.

She has an excellent temperament on the ground, and is easy to do in every way - catch, shoe, clip, load.

Bonnie has mainly been hacking in the past year, and living out at home on our farm. She is not phased by heavy traffic or machinery. She was hunted by her previous owner.

Looking for an experienced 5* home as she is not a novice ride, and is unfortunately is too much for our teenage riders. She will tend to drop a shoulder to try to unseat an inexperienced rider, hence only for sale to a strong experienced rider (she has been fine when on schooling livery).

She has had a full veterinary orthopaedic and neurological investigation, including x-rays, and no medical cause for behaviour was found.

Up to date with vaccines and dental.

I am devastated to advertised our home bred mare for sale as a broodmare as she was bought in and had saddle fitted to start reschooling to be my daughter’s next horse.

She is field sound however under saddle she was very lame. She is a lovely mover for a TB and she made a lovely shape over a fence which is why we kept her to be a competition horse. She has a sweet temperament no vices.

She could breed ponies as she is petite.

She has lovely breeding for a TB too she is by Outstrip and out of the full sister to a group horse.

She could be operated on but we are not in a position to do this at the moment so selling her to the right home to be a mummy.

She can be quirky caused mainly by lack of confidence, so my ideal home would be a small adult/older teenager who is happy to continue building her confidence and take the time to understand how she ticks!

It's no surprise that she's talented, the intelligent ones always are!! She's bred to showjump by the SJ stallion Urkel, is well put together, has a big scopey jump and easily pops round a metre track, bigger in training. The problem being, some days it can be all on her terms! which I feel is brought on by pressure and the competition environment. This is where she can be quirky/nappy and opinionated as basically she just plants and refuses to go forward. She can buck if challenged

Typically on a good day she's unbeatable. She works well in all 3 paces, is a responsive ride, always ridden in a snaffle. She absolutely loves her hacking, alone & in company, has done a few dressage tests and potentially could further her training in this discipline. She's been XC schooling/arena eventing, gallops etc. Would probably hunt, be a good riding club horse or potential brood mare

Good to handle on the ground, but does need and is happiest with boundaries. Very good to clip, shoe, bath, teeth etc. Lives in or out and turns out with mares/geldings. Easy to keep as loves her food! Travels happily in a trailer or 7.5 lorry
