Homebred gelding who is a substantial, traditional Connemara, combining quality and presence with a sensible outlook.

His sire is Maghera Fadda Lad (ex Abbyleix Owen/ Ardrivanna Andy) out of Clooneen Aibhilin (Island Lad/ Castleside Cardigan).

Leo is a much adored homebred, very well handled and very much part of the family.

He has three big, quality, straight paces, a kind and trusting temperament and eager to learn.

He won in the show ring as a yearling, then has had time to grow and mature, But also has been regularly handled.

This summer he has been started in his training and is long reining and lunging confidently. He has been backed and is at an exciting stage to now progress with his work. He is currently in work and will be riding away in the coming weeks.

He is an absolute joy to work with, takes everything in and very much has a can do attitude. He is fairly unfazed, and is based on a farm with everyday farm life and traffic surrounding him.

Sprite is gelded, BWBS passported & fully vaccinated with fully recorded breeding & out of two proven & graded parents. He is 50% warmblood, 25% TB, 25% British riding pony. He is by Hilkens All Cream & his two grandsires are Westpoint stud's Fulton & RFF The Alchemist so he has proven performance breeding. He also has some famous British riding pony names in his pedigree. He moves straight, has good paces & a light athletic build.

He has two 1/2 siblings from his mum who are backed & riding. His mum & older brother (both of whom I still have ) were both backed & brought on entirely by myself. His mum who was by Fulton showed a really enthusiasm for jumping.

He has been super well handled & is very friendly but also a nice character. He has had regular foot trims & has been wormed regularly. He is now used to and comfortable with being in a stable on his own overnight . He has spent this summer turned out with a similar age weanling colt & he has also mixed with with both much larger geldings & mares with no problems. He has also been turned out solo in a paddock next to others & coped with this fine.

Sprite was born late last year & was absolutely tiny at birth but full of character & fighting spirit right from birth. He was given all the support he needed to grow & thrive and was still with his mother till about 9 months old being gelded prior to weaning & then weaned once fully healed.

He will be the last foal for my mare who is now 18 yrs old and I was hoping for a filly but he is now looking for a new home where he can have a job in the future and be loved & looked after.

His mum is 15.2hh & dad 16hh, in view of his small start its hard to estimate his finished height but based on his current size I'm thinking around 14hh maybe a little bigger.

Her maternal half brothers include Champion Taraco Mourinho - USA dressage stallion now training and competing at PSG.
