Fellsides Master Ted - Fell gelding born 2014

**Now significantly reduced for quick sale and will consider lease or loan to the right home after sale falling through from no fault of his own **

By Greenholme Diego and Greenholme Sasha

Beautiful quality gelding approximately 12.3/13hh, full of presence and very much has the quality of his sire.

Huge prospect for RIHS / HOYS / junior RHIS with low mileage but successful results when shown.

Very establish ridden flat work, previously competed dressage, lightly show produced 2023 with good results, excellent result at Fell breed shows both in hand and ridden, with untapped potential as an under 13hh worker (will measure in).

For the last year he has been a lead rein and first ridden pony, attended pony club and shows but he's not really ready in anyway to slow down and needs to be back out open showing. Handled at home by a 9 year old girl (caught, led, brushed, bathed, fed etc) snaffle mouthed but will go in a little pelham for opens but really isn't a novice ride (my daughter is learning the rising trot and needs a plod)

Due to owners ill health and needing a first ridden we feel he deserves a home where he can be busy, and get out showing. Would be suitable for a competent rider child, adult or teen who wants to compete. He has a lovely little jump, and it great out hacking so would make a nice all-rounder.

He can need firm handling to box and lead at shows but to be fair he's been bored with us. Been in our 3.5ton lorry and producers bigger lorry.

Been stabled on a busy cattle farm so good with all machinery/ cows etc.

Lunges, previously hacked and dressage, wins at BSPS and breed shows.

Shod on front, good for farrier, vet, dentist, back and vaccinated to date. Good in the stable and to catch.

Extremely sad sale of a fabulous boy with such potential.

Must be a 5* home, contact: 07792 293945

My gorgeous girl is only available as I start university in September and need to downsize on commitments, I got her straight from the Breeder as a yearling and still keep in contact with them so all her history is known.

She is a real sweetie and loves to be groomed, doesnt care about sprays etc which are definitely needed with her thick mane and tail.

She is a beautiful girl inside and out and my aim was to be out competing this year but have not had the time, hence me making this extremely tough decision to trust someone with her.

Up to date with everything.

Contract and insurance must be in place and references wanted.

If you feel you would be suitable please send me a message with a bit about yourselves.

DO YOU HAVE A HORSE OR PONY SUITABLE FOR THE RDA?

WANTED ON LONG TERM LOAN / PURCHASE

Ref #: 249896
  • If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below
  • If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below

One of the main issues that RDA groups face is finding an Equine to suit the needs of the participants in their group.

We are regularly contacted with offers of Equines that are ‘the ideal RDA horse or pony’ when actually what is ideal for one group may not be for the next. We are trying to move away from the stereotypical view that RDA Equines are elderly and somewhat static, our horses and ponies need to be fit, healthy and athletic to cope with the lifestyle in an RDA group.

They can range from smaller, forward going ponies to weight carrying cobs and can take part in a range of disciplines from Riding to Carriage Driving, Vaulting to Show Jumping and Endurance.

If you contact an RDA Group about your Equine please be prepared to fill in an Equine Initial Interest Form which will ask you many questions about your horses’ temperament, health history, experience and lifestyle. Many groups will prefer to have an equine on trial to make sure they are suitable for the job.

For long term loans and purchases they will also be required to have a Pre-Purchase Examination.

If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below.

Buckbeak is a kind, middle-aged cob mare seeking a companion-only home. Small in size and full of gentle charm, she’s ready to become a treasured member of a new herd or family.

Buckbeak has previously lived around children and is known for her calm, friendly nature. She would make a lovely addition to a home looking for a steady and affectionate field companion.

She lives out happily year-round and gets along well with both mares and geldings. Like many good-doers, she will need restricted grazing during spring and summer to help manage her waistline.

Buckbeak is looking for a home where she’ll be valued for her companionship, character, and calm presence. Could you be the one to give her the happy ending she deserves?

Blue Cross Blueberry

£400
  • Cob
  • Piebald
  • Mare
  • 2 years
  • 11.3 hands
  • Future child's pony, pony club or show prospect
Blueberry is a gorgeous young piebald cob mare with a lovely nature and a twinkle of curiosity in her eye. She’s the kind of pony who greets you at the gate and wants to know exactly what’s going on – a real people pony in the making!

She’s very good to catch, enjoys a pampering session (especially a good brush!), and is easy to handle in hand. Blueberry is also happy to have her feet picked out and stands nicely for fuss and attention.

This confident and curious 2-year-old piebald cob mare is looking for her perfect home through Blue Cross. Currently standing at 11.3hh, Blueberry may mature to around 13hh and has great potential as a future lead rein or child’s ridden pony. She's a true character who loves to be involved in everything going on around her!

Blueberry is well-handled for her age – she's good to catch, lead, and pick out her feet. She’s been great for the vet and farrier too. She’s happiest in a herd and won’t do well alone, so she’s looking for a home with equine companions and a handler experienced with young horses to continue her education.

She’s available as an unbacked project pony. With the right guidance, Blueberry is sure to blossom into a wonderful little partner.

Blue Cross Blackberry

£180
  • Welsh Part Bred

  • 28 years
  • 13.2 hands
  • Gentle, affectionate companion.
  • Easy to handle

Blackberry is a lovely little pony with a heart of gold. Gentle, affectionate, and easy to handle in every way, she’s a true joy to have around. Whether you’re bringing her in from the field, grooming her, or leading her about, she’s always calm and cooperative.

Blackberry is a good doer and has previously shown signs of laminitis, so her ideal home will be set up for ponies who require restricted grazing and careful management. A routine that includes limited grass access or a surfaced turnout, with soaked hay and plenty of time off grass, would suit her best.

She’s flexible with her living arrangements—happy to live out 24/7 or come into a stable part-time. She currently lives in a herd of mares, but has lived with geldings previously.

Blackberry will thrive in a knowledgeable, caring home that understands the needs of lami-prone ponies and is willing to give her the thoughtful management she deserves.

If you think you could offer Blackberry the loving and laminitis-aware home she needs, please get in touch. She’ll make a wonderful companion and a very special addition to the right home.

Please adopt Blackberry

Tango is a bright and affectionate young mare who is ready to find a special home where she can continue to grow and thrive. Full of personality and charm, this playful girl has a real zest for life and is happiest when she has other equine friends to share her days with.

Currently living with a group of mares, Tango is well-socialized and could also be introduced to geldings in the right setup. She lives out 24/7 currently, but is also happy to part stable with friends. Her ideal home would have other youngsters for her to bond and play with — she loves having fun and benefits from the interaction and stimulation.

As a typical baby, Tango is still learning the ropes and will need ongoing training and consistent, kind handling. She’s eager to please and has a lovely nature, making her a rewarding project for someone with time and experience to guide her as she matures.

Tango is looking for a companion home, not a ridden one — somewhere she can enjoy life as part of a herd, continue her development, and bring joy to her new humans.

Strawberry is a beautiful mare who has recently had her foal weaned from her, and is now looking for a very special, one-on-one home with a loving and patient family.

She thrives on gentle, consistent handling and is best suited to someone experienced and sympathetic who understands the value of building trust over time.

Strawberry is currently undergoing training in several areas of her day-to-day routine. Her progress is being guided by a combined reinforcement approach, with a strong focus on liberty work – something she truly enjoys and feels more confident with. She’s already comfortable with the vet and farrier, but still needs consistency and support as she adjusts to new environments and people.

Strawberry has a kind heart and a willing spirit – she just needs the right person to help her come out of her shell and show the world her true self.

If you’re looking to form a deep bond with a gentle horse and can offer her the time, patience, and understanding she deserves, Strawberry could be your perfect match.

  • Future kids project pony or companion
  • Happy to live out 24/7 or part stable
  • Lives with mares and geldings

Favour is a sweet-natured young mare who is beginning to come out of her shell and enjoy human interaction. While she’s still building confidence, she’s making great progress and is starting to seek people out, especially for a good scratch—her favourite reward.

Favour leads well with a friend, and while she may pause to take in new surroundings, she responds calmly with gentle encouragement. Grooming is a new experience for her, but one she’s learning to enjoy, and she’s gradually accepting leg handling in preparation for farrier visits.

Though food can overwhelm her and she struggles with multiple people in her space, Favour is fine sharing hay and is steadily gaining confidence with consistent, kind handling. She has coped well with stabling alongside her companion and lives peacefully in a herd of mares.

Favour is a lovely, sensitive pony with huge potential. She will thrive in a home with experience, empathy, and a commitment to continuing her education at her pace.

We are happy to consider rehoming Fairfax and Favour as a pair of young ponies to be cared for until backing age. Alternatively they can be rehomed separately seeking new families.

  • 2 years
  • 11.1 hands
  • Companion pony
  • Happy to stay alone for short periods
  • Rewarding to train

Cheddar is a young native gelding seeking a quiet, experienced home as a non-ridden companion. He’s a sensitive and gentle young pony who is still gaining confidence and responds well to consistent, calm handling.

Currently, he’s best suited to living with one quiet gelding, as he can feel overwhelmed by more dominant or larger herds. Cheddar is comfortable being left alone for short periods and prefers a predictable routine.

Cheddar is making steady progress in his training. Catching is still a work in progress, but once caught, he leads well and enjoys being groomed by people he trusts. He’s also good for having his feet picked out and has coped well with farrier visits. Cheddar can be nervous around vets but is manageable with reassurance.

Clicker training has helped Cheddar build positive associations, and he is beginning to enjoy interaction in the stable environment, which he finds more reassuring than the field.

With the right home - calm, patient, and consistent, Cheddar will continue to grow in confidence and become a rewarding companion pony.

Fairfax is a bright, inquisitive pony who is just beginning her journey of building trust with people. She’s naturally curious and enjoys investigating at her own pace, often approaching calmly in the field. While still cautious, she is responding well to regular, gentle handling and is starting to enjoy human interaction, especially when it includes a good scratch!

Due to her age she is still wearing a headcollar as part of her ongoing training, and she's currently learning the basics like being caught and having her feet picked up.

Fairfax copes well being stabled part-time with a companion and is currently living with another young mare. While she can become unsettled by food and finds multiple people in her space a little overwhelming, she’s learning to feel more comfortable with quiet, consistent routines.

Superbly bred show pony 'Mountpleasant Welsh Pride'

16 years young with Low Mileage

Life height certificate 13 hands.

Previously shown with great success inc qualifying HOYS, RIHS as 133 SHP.

Numerous wins BSPS championships

Superb jump - would excel nursery stakes or 133 WHP

Correct conformation; ideal for performance classes

This fantastically put together pony has a proven record in the show ring, having competed with great success at top level, including HOYS and RIHS qualifications as a 133cm Show Hunter Pony. His consistent results include multiple wins at the BSPS Championships, and he is well-mannered, correct and experienced; ticking all the boxes for showing judges.

While he has not been campaigned in Nursery Stakes or WHP classes, he shows huge untapped potential in this area. He has the type, jump and temperament to excel; we just don’t do those classes. These ponies are incredibly hard to find, particularly older, established types who have already proven themselves in the ring.

Fabulous to hack and in open spaces; he is snaffle mouthed; he is pleasant to deal with on the ground. Good to shoe, clip, travel, load.

This is a genuine, high-quality pony ready to continue a successful career in the show ring; and potential to have an incredible showjumping career.

We would consider a lease arrangement for the right person
