  • He has a wonderful laid-back temperament
Safe pair of hands, and looking for a slower pace, we have owned Robbie for 5 years, but with my daughter studying away from home, he is no longer getting ridden enough that such a lovely boy deserves.
He is a wonderful schoolmaster having enjoyed a successful eventing career (Eques Junior BE record) and would make an ideal mother daughter share. He’s good to hack alone or in company, no bucks rears or turns. Over the last couple of months he has returned to work following injury, fully signed off by vet.

A fantastic hack alone or in company and brilliant with all traffic. He works beautifully on the flat, with three balanced uphill paces so would be a great candidate for some lower level dressage. He is used to busy competition environments and would be a dream to take out to things like Pet Plans Dressage.

Robbie is very polite and mannerly both on the ground and during his ridden work. He has a wonderful laid-back temperament but wouldn’t suit a novice rider, as he needs someone knowledgeable. He has always been stabled overnight and would need managed turnout.

Finding Robbie the right person is more important than price, please get in touch if you feel you could give him a good home. No show jumpers or dealers/eventers.

Robbie requires restricted grazing, please do not get in contact if this is not something you can manage.

WANTED - Searching For A Trustworthy Allrounder / Best Friend Type

Ref #: 404421
  • Height - 14.3-15.2hh max. Age - 6 - 13 years
  • Character - Gentle Natured, Polite, Family Friend
  • Type - Lightweight Cob / Connemara Or Similar, Nothing Too Heavyweight.
  • Height - 14.3-15.2hh max. Age - 6 - 13 years
  • Character - Gentle Natured, Polite, Family Friend
  • Type - Lightweight Cob / Connemara Or Similar, Nothing Too Heavyweight.

I am just beginning my search for a trustworthy, best friend type to welcome to our kind, knowledgeable, family home. Our horses are treated as part of our family & they receive the absolute best of care. I would be happy to provide references & to keep in touch.

I have ridden for several years & consider myself a knowledgeable & capable rider. However, due to ongoing health issues with my horse, who is now retired, I haven’t ridden as consistently in more recent years & so I am no longer as confident as I once was. Therefore, I am seeking a laid back, best friend type, who does not need riding most days to remain safe & sane.

We will be enjoying fun hacks from home, attending organised pleasure rides, forest trips, XC schooling & some clinics…. maybe the odd local show in future - but just for fun! I will often be hacking alongside my young daughter on her (sometimes quirky!) horse, so it is especially important that I find a level-headed, trustworthy type who I can depend on. Due to us going out in our horsebox regularly, I would like to find a horse who is good to load / travel &, most importantly, who remains calm & polite to handle & ride in different environments.

Our horses are kept at home with us on a quiet yard. I would love to find a gentle natured, polite character & a true best friend type.

We live in a rural area & although we generally meet very little traffic, when we do, it is often likely to be a tractor/farm vehicle. Therefore, it is hugely important that my new horse is confident around this type of traffic.

* I do appreciate that no horse is ‘perfect’ & that ‘bombproof’ does not exist & I am open to compromise but please do just be honest about any possible known ‘issues’ as I will not buy unseen & would want to have any potential horse vetted *

We are based in Norfolk so ideally looking for something in or around East Anglia but would travel further if plenty of info, videos/photos could be provided beforehand. I have a sensible budget & very relaxed & loving forever home for the right horse.

  • Actively looking for the best Pony Club ponies
  • Some fabulous knowledgeable homes waiting
  • No fees for sellers

I have motivated clients looking for genuine, kind, quality and proven ponies to take part in all Pony Club activities.

The ponies I would love to hear about are those not needing to be advertised to secure a new home. There’s no harm in finding out whether I know of a better home and match. Perhaps you worry about your child finding it upsetting seeing their old pony regularly at rallies etc - then selling out of area could be a better solution.

These are motivated buyers receiving guidance as to what will likely suit their child - not the timewasters regularly reported. In most cases homes are also knowledgeable: simply lacking in time to conduct a search themselves. Most will also wait for the right pony so if you are not ready to sell yet, that’s not an issue.

There are some decent budgets available relative to age and medical conditions etc.

All leads will be handled with discretion.

  • Loving, long term family home
  • Varied and sensible workload
  • Would want for nothing!

We have a tall 13yo, she is a quiet, natural jockey whose main interest is dressage, she enjoys jumping but isn’t super competitive. Having outgrown her fabulous 13.3/14hh Welsh x Cob who turns her hoof to a bit of everything, we are looking for a similar type with longer legs! Think overgrown pony rather than a horse, temperament, consistency and kindness are paramount. Must be well schooled with good transitions but we don’t need big/expressive movement. We’d like something that is happy jumping 70/80 tracks, has done plenty of rallies, been to camp, hacks nicely etc. Must be easy and straightforward on the ground, to travel etc.

We really aren’t stuck on a Connie and would happily consider a sensible Section D, LW cob or Irish type. We are offering a fabulous family home, the stables are next to the house and the children are very involved in the day to day care of their ponies. Life will be varied, they really will want for nothing. We recognise we are looking for a needle in a haystack and have the budget to reflect that. West Midlands based but can travel within reason. We will ask for references and veterinary history, we are pragmatic and sensible but want to make a decision based on all the facts!

  • 15.1 hands (LHC)
  • Full tack and wardrobe to go with her
  • She’s shown to a high level and competed all round with either me or my mum
  • We bred her and had her full brother and mother

Darcy
- 16 years old
- 15.1hh
- Frome, Somerset area
- Full tack and wardrobe to go with her

Not an easy sell, I love Darcy to pieces but unfortunately due to moving away I cannot keep her anymore. I’m really hoping to find a new forever home for her to have the best life at. She has proved herself time and time again and now could do with a steadier pace more happy hacking with the occasional outing or competition

She’s a brilliant all rounder, would be perfect for a mother/daughter share. She’s was home bred and has been mine since I was 9. She’s an Irish sports horse cross argintinian mix as her father was a showjumper and mother was a polo horse. Additionally, I’ve put strawberry roan but she’s more pinky and would be suitable for dilute coloured classes

She’s been shown to a high level and I’ve done all pony club activities, (where instructors have always loved her) including hunting which she is great fun for and enjoys immensely.

She’s easy to clip, shoe, catch and travel, but will not travel facing forwards must be backwards or herringbone but then is 100%.

A nice, easy ride but not a first horse for a beginner. Shes a lovely little fun horse, I’m looking for a knowledgeable, loving home for her so no novices.

Her only flaw is she does weave when stressed. Therefore she needs a weaving grid. However once settled in a place she will calm.

I only want the very best for this mare she means the world to me. I’m very happy for a couple week trial I understand the stress of a new horse.

If your interested please contact me via my phone number

Exciting opportunity to purchase what we believe will an extremely competitive event horse that is ready to step up this season and is capable of winning the Badminton Grassroots Championships. She ticks every box and holds the talent and untapped potential to quickly progress further to make a cracking juniors or 1* eventer in the very near future.

Having spent most of her life in a riding club and unaffiliated home, this is the perfect opportunity to purchase a mare that’s seen the world, got the t-shirt, but without the points and record, meaning that she is still eligible for the novice classes.

Literally breezes around the trickiest of cross country courses, very clever and honest, really thinks ahead for herself and loves the job.

Recently been out to major venues, training and jumping Discovery level on a day ticket. Again, showjumping she is agile and honest, will never stop and wants to jump clear rounds. Ready to jump a Newcomers and will quickly progress.

Rides very sweetly on the flat, snaffle bridled and correct, moves well, and has established changes and some lateral work. Will always score well dressage.

Hacks out, alone and in company. Easy to look after in and out of the stable, sweet natured, polite and free from vices.

Pretty straightforward in all ways, and a very exciting horse for the future. Fit and ready to win, she is an out and out competition horse, with such a promising future, please no very nervous, wobbly, heavy handed or unaspirational riders for this mare.

Due to the loss of my wonderful Connemara in January I’m searching for my new best friend.

I primarily hack but would like the opportunity to do beach rides and holidays away with my friend and her horse.

I’m not adverse to a veteran or a horse/pony with health issues as long as fully disclosed. Something that’s been there and done it but now needs a quieter life would be ideal.

Must be good in all traffic and travel in a trailer.

I’ve owned and ridden horses all my life but I’m now in my sixties and no longer brave so no bucking, rearing, bolting or napping, no project horses and no dealers.

In return I can offer a long term experienced home on my  own land at my home with other horses, all year turnout with field shelter and stabling as required

References available.

Winnie is a superstar throughout I cannot fault this horse.

I purchased Winnie as I rising 5 year old straight from the field in Ireland and have had the pleasure of producing her from scratch.

She has been so easy from the beginning, she has been produced with her future in mind.

She has hunted 3 season with the Taunton Vale and a local in land trail hunt. She has jumped ditches, rails and hedges. She is never strong, you ride off your seat. Stands and meets on the buckle. She’s also been hunted by a 13 year old girl, Winnie took her over her first hedges.

She has evented to BE90, won her first 90 of the 2024 season. Always tries her hardest and will come home with a frilly, placed in every Cotswold Cup she’s entered. Really is a rosette machine. She struggles with wider fences, she has the heart of a lion but I think she would struggle going any bigger competitively with solid fences.

She has done some small local shows, placed second in an open working hunter and ridden hunter and came reserve champion in the working hunter ring.

She has been on lease to a young girl, PC home last season, did lots of pony club and NSEA events.

The safest horse the hack, will go first or last. Safe in traffic, I have very quiet roads so isn’t used to heavy traffic but I’m sure this wouldn’t be an issue! I would let my 80+ granny take her for a ride.

She can be turned out with anything, bottom of the pecking order in the field, never barges out her stable. She has outstanding ground manners.

Good to shoe, clip, load lorry or trailer. Will stand on the box all day whilst horses come and go.

Happy to travel up to Pontispool for viewings.

Sold with Fairfax jump saddle.

Only for sale as downsizing the yard and personal circumstances.

Seeking a talented horse or pony to loan

Ref #: 403908
  • 14 year old competitive jockey
  • Passion for Show Jumping
  • Short term Summer Loan or Long Term Competition Home Offered
  • 14 year old competitive jockey
  • Passion for Show Jumping
  • Short term Summer Loan or Long Term Competition Home Offered
I am seeking a talented horse or pony to loan for my 14 year old daughter due to the long term injury of her 16hh horse, therefor my funds are tied up with this unforeseen and upsetting situation.

Her passion and love is within Show jumping where she has competed up to 90cm unaffiliated and 1'10 under instruction.
We offer a varied all rounder home, on a private yard with school, individual turn out, great hacking and access to the moors. 3.5t spacious horse box, 3 very local competition venues right on our doorstep and a fantastic coach who teaches us both. Active pony club member, who has competed up to regional champ level and recently qualified for the barrier animal health champs, however decided to pass down to another member as she secured a ride on someone else's horse for the day!

Not your average teen rider! Along side myself, she schools people's ponies locally and is paid to do so, often being asked to ride difficult ponies, she is offered competitive rides often, which is great as she can earn some money and gain lots of experience riding different horses, often only riding them for the first time on the day in the warm up! But its not quite the same as having a number 1 to love, groom and ride.

She has been producing ponies with me for the past 3 years, backing, schooling and competing, often riding my 16'2 Dutch warmblood mare, whilst retraining her OTTB, said horse is very highly strung and complexed without the now long term injury. She transitioned to horses 1.5 years ago with ease having had a very successful 2 years on her 14'2 and various smaller ponies previously who were either backed or produced to well schooled allrounders, sold to fund the next height.

She has the ability to get on most horses/ponies and work them out for the first time, getting results and harmony quickly. She has an excellent seat and balance, has been taught to ride from the seat rather than the hand, very good hands and also to ride and hold forward horses/ponies to a fence.

We are very open to young and green providing the talent is there and it wants to jump, equally it would be lovely to have something established as we have never had the luxury of having something ready made!

Would consider going BS in the future, but this is absolutely not essential and would only affiliate when the right partnership is formed.

Open to full up 14'2 pony or up to 16'2 horse, as she is 5’4 and still growing, something easy to handle on the ground is a must however we don't mind quirks and spice under saddle just nothing nasty or dangerous.

Will consider short term summer loan or a special long term option!

Might be situation where someone is going off to uni, injured or time and facility restrictions means you have something talented that needs to get out and about ready to to be sold or something you are looking to be competed at a decent level longer term. Jockey is available now and keen to have a season of competing, has a reserve camp space in August at Pontispool where she will have to steal my horse if she doesn't have one!

Many references can be provided, we offer a knowledgeable and experienced home where I can assist with schooling and riding as a mother daughter duo, but the main rider competing is my daughter.
