York has been a wonderful confidence giving first competition pony for my daughter but sadly has outgrown him and my son (who was to be his next rider) has unexpectedly given up riding in favour of cricket.
We bought York in 2023 when he passed a 5 stage vetting and during this time he’s been an absolute joy. We’ve done pony club camp, runners up at pony club Champs 2023 for polocrosse, mounted games, team showjumping, X Country, beach trips, prelim dressage, numerous unaffiliated shows and qualified sunshine tour 2023 being placed 3rd in the SJ finals at Hickstead. His flatwork is lovely and he can produce a lovely test.
Yorks talent is showjumping. He is forgiving and will get you out of a hole he’s a true gent! We have never registered BS with him as my daughter is too old but she did a clear round 70 BS on a ticket. He would easily make a first bs pony for stepping stones with capability to move up the levels.
17 this year, easy to do lives in or out with mares or geldings. Barefoot, good to clip load and catch. Not a novice ride though he’s a competition pony and can be forward. Absolute magician at removing his headcollar if you don’t tighten it enough.
Very sad sale but this boy has so much to give and would love to see him excel with his new little rider. £6,950 including full wardrobe.
