  • She really is the most fantastic, quiet, confidence giving pony you could wish for your child.

Sadly we have to find our super safe little 9year old "spirit" a new loving home as my son has sadly outgrown her.

She really is the most fantastic, quiet, confidence giving pony you could wish for you're child. We cannot fault her at all as she hasn't a bad bone in her body. She is genuinely a mothers dream. If you're child is ready to come of the lead rein and needs the confidence to take their hands of the saddle and hold the reins, this is the pony for you. She will looks after the smallest or nervous of riders as she goes through her paces sensible and steady.

We cannot praise this little pony enough. She always gives 100% wether it be going for a hack , jumping a small course , logs or a small cross country course.

She has been with us the last 2.5 years where she started of with my son being a complete novice and building up his confidence to now cantering behind at her own calm, steady pace other horses hacking in open fields. Her previous owners used to carriage drive her in the heaviest of traffic and she takes it all in her stride.

Spirit is up to date with her vacs, worming , teeth and she is brilliant with the blacksmith.
She has exceptional manners in and out of the stable. Children can brush her, catch her , bath her and she will stand there loving being pampered.

We are looking for a 5 star home for this much loved genuine little pony as she truly deserves it.
If you are looking for a safe sensible pony to give you're child confidence and fun, then this is the pony for you.

Sadly the time has come to find a new home for Rolo. Rolo is a 12hh, 18yr old all rounder lead rein/first year first ridden pony.

He has been a huge part of our family for the past 5yrs since my daughter was 3yrs and he is her absolute best friend. Rolo has done a bit of everything with us- pony club, camps, hunting, hacking, fun rides, SJ, ODE and dressage. He’s qualified for the NSEA introductory dressage at Hickstead for the past 2yrs and could make a great lead rein show pony. He has been amazing with my daughter, niece and endless friends adjusting himself to suit their levels and capabilities. He is telepathic in their abilities and always seems to look after little ones. He is responsive to voice and the leg.

However, Rolo is forward and will teach kids to ride! He is utterly perfect as a smart leadrein and FYFR pony, and has been an awesome 2nd pony for my daughter who is confident with speed, but he is a terrible 1.5pony!!! (He will put in a buck and needs a competent rider at this stage). He is therefore absolutely best suited to small kids still on the lead rein or just coming off the lead rein.

Rolo is a character. He is happy to stand and be painted, pampered and dragged around. However, if there is the chance of food he will always head straight for it. He will talk to you endlessly and always let you know if he is hungry, cold or just wants a cuddle. He really has been a very special pony for us and we are looking for a wonderful family home for him where he can continue to be loved and pampered ideally taking young kids from their first rising trots to a canter around a little ODE.

No injuries, lami (but he is carefully managed) and perfect to shoe, clip, bath etc. He lives in at night (day in summer) and loves nothing more than a cosy stable, a big rug and lots of hay!!! Turns out with others (only been out with geldings with us). Amazing in all traffic, with dogs etc. A real family pony.

We will vet all potential homes and he will only go to the very best experienced family homes, no livery yards. Endless videos available.

Ultimate tiny tots first pony

  • She will fill your child’s life with pure magic
The Sue. The Myth. The Legend is looking for her next tiny tot to commence their very first chapters.

She has pulled 2 year old Gianna to the ‘North Pole’ on a sledge, given 3 year old Gianna her first canter on the beach and now plods 4 year old Gianna safely off on her own round the busy country park.

There is nothing Gianna cannot do with her entirely unassisted, including all the whacky and whimsical things children think of doing with their ponies.

Has done everything with us and is up to date with everything! A true old fashioned ‘get on and have a go at anything pony’ who will fill your child with confidence. 100% safe for the tiniest tot to do anything with.

She’s set the bar very high for us. And my daughter is now competently riding off the lead and ready for her next pony.

She will fill your childs life with pure magic.

  • The perfect rocking horse canter

Frankie is a wonderful child’s pony. He has three lovely steady paces perfect to learn ups and downs but doesn’t need kicking to keep him going.

He has the most gorgeous rocking horse canter that you can jog along beside on the lead rein. He will pop over a jump beautifully, never over jumps.

In his current home he did many different lead rein activities including dressage, jumping, cross country, shows, beach rides and pony club.

He goes through water, is bombproof in traffic and hacks out alone. He will stand for hours for round the world, be dressed up, ridden bareback from the field and to be be groomed.

Frankie has been used as a first ridden previously but has picked up some bad habits and therefore the reason we feel he is best suited to a lead rein home (can be discussed if needed).

Full history known and references available from all previous 3 owners. Thousands of photos and videos. Frankie is much loved and will only go to the best of homes.

Would prefer people to call or can what’s app for videos if interested.

Beautiful Lead Rein Shetland.

Hamish has been part of our family for 5 years. He has taught my daughter, who is now 7 her up downs, taken her to Shows, Pony Club Rallies and Camp.

He loves children and mine feed him, muck him out, pick his feet, groom, bath and lead him around. He absolutely loves a fuss.

Hamish is completely wasted with us now as my daughter has moved up to the next pony and he now needs a new little person to love.

He has been driven in a previous home, but this is something we have never done with him.

Hamish will happily live in or out.

He is up to date with his teeth, jabs etc.

Will be sold with his Zoe Snape saddle pad and rugs.

We have lots of videos and photos of Hamish on request

Casper is a lovely little pony that I bought for my 4 year old Grandson nearly two years ago, not 6. Sadly my Grandson is not showing the interest this lovely pony deserves despite our best efforts. Casper is therefore seeking a new family to do fun things with and be appreciated.

He has shown he is willing to do whatever is asked of him on or off the lead rein. Would suit a family with children with a range of ages and abilities. He would make a great PC pony/games pony as good with flappy stuff.

We are ideally looking for an experienced home so he can reach his full potential. Have posted some vids with 10 year old rider who has had a few professional riding lessons and would love to have her own pony and has recently very kindly come to ride Casper once a week for us and she gets more confident each time she comes. I think you can see he is more whoa than go at the moment and is only doing as much as asked by the rider which is exactly what you want for children to build confidence.

Happy to chat and provide more info, pics and vids.

Priced to sell, no time wasters please. Call 07815 301504 for more information if interested

Poppy is a fabulous mare she loves her little people. She’s been a wonderful first ridden for my daughter but would happily do the lead rein job, she stays sweetly to the pace she’s been asked never rushes she doesn’t need a loads of leg to get going and very responsive to little riders.

She will hack alone and in company and is good in traffic. She is nicely schooled will do a lovely dressage test and pop a course of small jumps. Shes attended pony club camp and more recently turned her hoof to mounted games. She’s managed completely by my young daughter who often rides her bareback in a headcollar. Poppy is perfect to hack alone and in company. She was a show pony in a previous home and makes a lovely first ridden or nursery stakes pony.

She’s great for the farrier (barefoot) dentist and physio. No health issues, easy to do and very clean in her stable. She has shared a paddock with others before and been fine she dosent get needy if you take a friend away. She travels perfectly and will stand patiently with a Haynet at shows.

Her new home is very important to us, we’d love to see her in a long-term family home with younger children waiting in the wings. She’s been amazing for us and I’d like to keep in touch with her journey, she is an hilarious little character and will be missed terribly by us all!

Full wardrobe including a new professionally fitted wintec 14in saddle included in sale.

He has his vaccinations and wormer up to date and has just seen the farrier. Full wardrobe. CHESHIRE

Inca is a dream, hard to find sort. Extremely pretty and always safe and steady. She is extremely affectionate and thrives on cuddles and attention. Comes to call in the field and will turn out with both mares and geldings. She loves to be groomed and easy to bath (although an adult is required for face-washing and she prefers a flannel!)

We have owned Inca for seven years and she taught my son to ride from just off lead rein to being a competent little rider. My daughter loved how safe she felt on her as a nervous rider. We all just love having her around but it is a complete waste of a lovely little pony who could be loved by another little rider so we are looking for a lovely home for her.

Perfect as a lead rein pony and as a first ridden. Inca is more woah than go but is great fun. I am preferring to sell her as a lead rein pony due to having had no jockey for a while, however, I see no reason why she could not go off the lead again. She does need a bit of leg! Inca came back from being lent as a companion pony for a while and was tacked up and ridden by my friend's little girl as though she had never been away.

Inca represented our Pony Club at Mounted Games where she was in the Area teams and was steady enough to allow for accuracy and never hotted up. She stayed away penned with electric tape with all the other ponies. She has attended camps and rallies mainly off lead rein and has popped xc fences and happy to jump a small course of showjumps.

Inca is great to canter in open spaces and never strong or spooky and is unfazed by traffic or tractors. Inca will hack alone or in company and is safe enough that my children would hack her alone around the farm when they were small or all canter around together. She also rides and leads happily. She has been on hound exercise and hunted and remained her kind, steady self.

Inca would be a very eye-catching lead rein show prospect with a lovely presence, correct conformation and movement. We took her out in hand recently and she was well placed and liked by the judges.

Easy to do in all ways - farrier (barefoot), stable, catch, loads and travels well on lorry or trailer, etc

This is a very sad sale and only the best home will be sought, as we all love having Inca around but with no riders now she is completely wasted and deserves to have a small person to call her own and enjoy life with.

Nottinghamshire | No loans | Loving home essential

It breaks our hearts to list this very special boy, but we simply can’t keep them all.

This registered black standard Shetland gelding (approx. 39”) was bought for our autistic son after a knock in confidence—and he’s been everything we hoped for and more. Kind, calm, and endlessly patient, he has gently restored confidence and trust in the saddle.

While still young, he’s got the most wonderful brain. He’s been ridden off-lead by an older child, and taken part in just about everything you can imagine—from gunfight cowboy games to picnic rides, football chaos, and noisy play sessions. Nothing phases him—he’s as spook-proof and bombproof as they come. We haven't had transport to show him but I've no doubt he wouldn't be phased.

He’s not *quite* ready to be called a first ridden due to age, but he’s got all the ingredients to become one. With the right family, he’ll go far—whether that’s as a much-loved family pony, a therapy companion, or a cracking child’s best friend.

Fabulous temperament.Good with children, dogs, and chaos

Standard size but not full-up Up to date with everything

This isn’t a rushed sale—we’re looking for a home that will truly value him.
He's worth his weight in gold, and we believe the right people will see that. We’re happy to wait for the right match.

Millie is unfortunately for sale due to being prematurely outgrown. We have owned millie for 3 years and full history is known. Millie is very easy to handle, good to catch, clip, tie up, turnout, load, farrier, travel, good for dentist.

Millie was exceptionally easy to break and really enjoys her ridden work. She has 3 lovely paces and works in a soft outline at all times. She is very well schooled has regular lessons with a dressage rider. She is very balanced and does a flying change each way. She is the perfect happy medium of being off the leg but not sharp and definitely not lazy. She is a very straightforward and easy ride, a very reliable pony.

Since having millie she has:

Multiple dressage tests scoring 70% +
Competed affiliated sj up to 90cm
She has attended pony club camp and other rallies.
Evented up to 80cm
Xc schooled to many times to count, always jumping whatever is put infont of her
Been on many beach rides
Hunter trialled
Hunted 4 times each time proving mannerly and sensible, great with hounds and sure footed in all conditions
Competed whp classes at county level as a 4 year old
Been used to teach complete novice 7 year old girl to ride and jump

To jump millie is brave and careful, very easy to a fence. She has schooled round courses of 1.10m at home and at training shows.

Millie is suitable for competent child or a more novice child. She is the ultimate pony for every child in the family.

  • The ultimate TINY TOTS best friend.
  • Bred in the purple Betsey needs no introduction
  • The KINDEST mare, absolutely beautiful inside and out
Registered standard Shetland ‘approx’ 38”.

I purchased Betsey straight from her breeder Sept ‘23, unbroken but successfully shown as a youngstock.

I backed her Jan ‘24 . Literally the easiest and most straight forward little mare ever.

Very successfully shown at county level, inhand and under saddle, with myself.

Absolutely fabulous in traffic. I regularly long rein her along busy roads/and farms .

So incredibly easy in every way. Good to catch, clip, bath with farrier and load. Loves Hacking, and will stand for hours to be groomed etc.

She would be a serious Pretty Polly contender. So easy to produce. Can be pulled out of the field not ridden for weeks and always the same, safe little pony . She literally is worth her weight in gold.

Ridden/competed by a 4,6 and 8 year old child. Has a serious and lovely round jump in her. Would make the most fabulous all round family/fun pony. I am selling Betsey as a lead rein pony, she has been trained to be very responsive to the voice. With out doubt, with a confident child and further (regular) schooling she would safely go off the lead, too. She hacks out off the lead, and is a saint. Betsey has done x-country jumps and been through water, just a joy to watch.

She has also seen hounds, Xmas Eve meet with Croome & West Warwick.

I would love this special little pony to have her own little best friend. She can be led around by the tiniest child. Safely. She adores little people. I do believe a pony club active home would suit her down to the ground, as long as she has a few rewards (treats) she will be a friend for life. Never has this small but mighty little mare ever let me down. She will be a wonderful asset to any family.

Never sick or sorry. No laminitis or sweet itch. Barefoot trimmed. Up to date with vaccinations and wormer. Happy to live in or out.

A really sad sale due to no jockey and my ongoing health condition. She is seriously wasted with me, sadly. So goes without saying, she will only go to the best of homes. Absolutely loves company, so will need a friend/friends.

Please no time wasters .

Should you want more information, please ring or message on wattsapp. I have hundreds of photos and videos.

Bumble has given our son the most perfect introduction to top level showing, safely carrying his precious cargo around the buzziest of rings, giving him a huge amount of confidence and our whole family the MOST incredible memories.

He is a dazzling presence with a heart of gold, a sash and trophy collector taking wins and championships at BSPS championships, county shows, STARS, he has qualified for Burghley LR WSP both seasons first time out giving foot perfect performances both years, he would easily qualify for LIHS we haven’t contested these classes as Bumble has given my son so much confidence in the ring he moved on to a cradle stakes pony at 6 so competed on her! He is BSPS Area 3a points winners and champions of LR SHP and LR WSP classes.

Bumble has be a pony of a lifetime to us and a huge part of our family, I know his full history and comes with impeccable references from some of the most informed families in showing. He will only go the very best of homes as he deserves that and more.

He has done everything with us-beach rides, pony club, hacking around the farm and introduced Harry to jumping (WHP) Harry has ridden bumble around the busiest of shows on his own and is a pony i completely love and trust, anyone who knows me knows I only try to strive for the very BEST ponies for my son and that i am meticulous in finding them! He is handled by children, he’s is the easiest pony at shows, no vices, no lami, 100% in all ways.

This is a heart wrenching sale for our family, but we know Bumble needs and wants to give another very lucky little person the same opportunities our son has had, with this in mind we will won‘t tolerate time wasters. Based North Yorkshire.

DO YOU HAVE A HORSE OR PONY SUITABLE FOR THE RDA?

WANTED ON LONG TERM LOAN / PURCHASE

Ref #: 249896
  • If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below
  • If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below

One of the main issues that RDA groups face is finding an Equine to suit the needs of the participants in their group.

We are regularly contacted with offers of Equines that are ‘the ideal RDA horse or pony’ when actually what is ideal for one group may not be for the next. We are trying to move away from the stereotypical view that RDA Equines are elderly and somewhat static, our horses and ponies need to be fit, healthy and athletic to cope with the lifestyle in an RDA group.

They can range from smaller, forward going ponies to weight carrying cobs and can take part in a range of disciplines from Riding to Carriage Driving, Vaulting to Show Jumping and Endurance.

If you contact an RDA Group about your Equine please be prepared to fill in an Equine Initial Interest Form which will ask you many questions about your horses’ temperament, health history, experience and lifestyle. Many groups will prefer to have an equine on trial to make sure they are suitable for the job.

For long term loans and purchases they will also be required to have a Pre-Purchase Examination.

If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below.
