Irish Freddie
6yr old Dartmoor hill pony.

Freddie is an awesome happy hacker on or off the leadrein, he is a good 12.2hh, extremely well built and takes up the leg.

He rides out at home or away in company or on his own adventures very well. He pops a jump.

This summer he has been to pony club camp, endurance rides, lessons, hacked around the farm alone or with company.

The children handle him. Travels and loads well.

Freddie deserves to have his own little person or a small adult as I just simply don’t have the time.

He is not a first year first ridden yet as he has only been in consistent work this year since April therefore is unsuitable for an inexperienced family although my 6yr old and 9yr old ride him.

Broken as a 4yr old.

Experienced home only. Northumberland

Rocky - A stunning looking pony that is a real star to ride, well mannered and polite and thoroughly enjoys his jumping. Very careful and has been competed regularly with my grandson and has been consistently placed in all NSEA and PC SJ teams.

Over the last year he has been to all our local shows, Hickstead, XC schooling , down to the beach and PC rallies.

A talented but easy pony that is regularly in the ribbons but he is sensible and polite.

Manners at a show that are impeccable, happy to stand quietly at the collecting ring whilst others are being ridden and he loads like a dream.

Rocky has lovely flatwork- he is polite and gentle to ride and is very sensible and trustworthy, he rides very sensibly in big open spaces, is amazing down at the beach and is great XC and will ride calmly alone or in company.

Very good out Hacking and is good with all road and farm traffic, and will go alone or with a group.

Rocky’s stable manners are fantastic - he is lovely to handle by children and will stand for hours with them to be groomed and pampered, he is great with the farrier/ dentist and to clip.

Happy to be turned out with others or alone and he is great to catch, lead in and tie up.

If you want a pony for your child to be safe and well looked after and for them to jump, XC and do some showing he is the one for you!!

Much loved family pony that has all the highest of references from all the local pony clubs and show centres - has given my grandson loads of fun and beautiful to look at!! He deserves a 10* home!!

Oscar as he is known at home is the sweetest, kindest pony you could ever wish to meet. He is just the nicest chap to have around. Purchased as a unbroken 4 year old in 2024, he has been slowly and carefully produced to the lovely pony he is today.

Oscar is an English bred Connemara and is a really quality 'pony' stamp of Connemara that is so popular and hard to find nowadays. He has plenty of substance and body to take up the leg but retains that true look of a pony Connemara. I believe he would be a HOYS pony both in the junior ring and open classes. He is also showing the potential to be a HOYS WHP.

He has done a little bit of everything, as we prefer to offer them a varied lifestyle. He has just started to do a bit of Arena Eventing and he is entered for some Combined Training. He has seen a good range of WHP jumps and is not phased by fillers, water trays etc. He loves his jumping.

Oscar is still only 5 years of age and therefore is not the finished article. We don't push them at this age as I want them to have longevity. He is good to hack but we have found he is not very keen on lorries. He has done lots of farm rides etc and really enjoys them.

This is one seriously special pony for the future.

8 yr old full up 42inch Shetland.

Ronnie has been there and done it. PC, SJ, XC, won’t bat an eyelid when doing cartwheels round his head, hacks alone or in company. Can drive too but we have never done this.

Ronnie is amazing when in work, will follow you to the end of the earth, can go past the heaviest of traffic and will plod around for anyone.

He loves plodding along and stopping for grass snacks. Is a very affectionate pony.

He is not for everyone. He’s currently been out of work over summer as we have been away a lot and don’t have the time for 2 ponies. He needs some patience to get him going again.

He is a typical Shetland and does have a buck and an attitude but once he trusts you will be a little lamb for you.

Good, patient home with a good jockey wanted for this complete dude. He’s too good to waste and my jockey is getting too big.

Price reflective but will go up when we start to bring him back into work

Sad sale of our super pony Kilcolman Poppy after 2.5 years as she has been outgrown by my daughter (now 15).

Poppy is a hunting & Pony Club superstar - forward going, scopey but safe.
She has hunted regularly with us and with her previous family (who we are still in touch with and had her for 7 years), jumping everything and always giving a brilliant fun day and looking after her jockey.

She has also done numerous PC rallies, Camp, SJ, Dressage, Arena Eventing, PC Teams, NSEA, Working Hunter, hedge hopping/fun rides and endless hacking both alone and with others. She is nearly always in the ribbons Show Jumping and Arena Eventing, and has taken my daughter from 70-95cm and given her a real love for competing.

She has been on our Pony Club Area Teams for Show Jumping every year and qualified for the Pony Club Regional Championships in 2023, 2024 and 2025. She is also very well schooled with lovely flatwork, and does a nice dressage test.

Poppy is a joy to take out and about and travels well in a trailer or lorry. She is good to shoe, clip, catch, load and is good in traffic and with farm machinery.

We are looking for a knowledgeable, active hunting/pony club family for Poppy. Her future home is very important to us and we would love to keep in touch. She is brilliant fun and would be perfect for a competent child looking to have lots of fun hunting in winter and doing Pony Club/show jumping in the summer.

Poppy has mild sweet itch, and can lack confidence XC. Masses of photos/videos available on request; also please see video attached below.

An elite and rare opportunity to acquire a top-quality dilute stallion with impeccable conformation, movement, and temperament.

He was backed last year and spent the winter/ spring developing into a confident riding horse, happily hacking alone and in company, also schooling lightly (green but very willing) he is now ready to further his education. His kind, laid-back nature is second to none, safely handled and ridden by my 9 year old niece, and consistently gentle in all situations.

Hermits Metallica has already proven himself both in-hand and under saddle, winning at county level on his debut with exemplary behaviour.

As a breeding stallion, he has been successfully used both in-hand and at liberty, getting all mares in foal on first cover. He is also dummy trained and extremely easy to collect from.

With striking colour genetics and prestigious Hermits Stud lineage, he is a dream find for any breeder seeking to introduce colour without compromising on breed type or temperament.

He will make a fabulous ridden/ In-hand show prospect or equally if gelded a wonderful childs best friend.

Lola is a lovely rising 6-year-old, 14hh piebald cob mare with a brilliant temperament and a sensible head on young shoulders. Broken in at Easter, she's taken everything in her stride; you honestly wouldn't guess she's newly backed unless we told you.

She's excellent in traffic and very little phases her. Happy to hack out alone or in company, she's focused on hacking at the moment but is starting to go into the arena and do a bit of jumping, of which she is showing great enthusiasm. She's a safe forward-going ride who has also been ridden by a novice and behaved beautifully, making her a great potential mother-daughter share.

Lola loads well, is easy to catch, has no vices, and is good to handle on the ground. She has nice manners, enjoys going out and about, and thrives on your company. She will literally follow you round the field and come as soon as she sees you to be caught. She does have a small cosmetic blemish on her elbow; purely visual and causes no issues whatsoever.

Lola is a sweet, honest mare ready to continue her journey with the right person. She'll make someone a really lovely all-rounder.

Cob X Warmblood, coloured mare, 14.2hh, lovely allrounder

LOTTIE is an exceptional mare, with a laidback temperament and is very low maintenance. She has been an absolute delight to own and a much-loved part of our family. Genuine sale as my daughter is off to university and so Lottie is now ready to give someone else lots of fun.

She has three balanced, rhythmical, expressive paces with a lovely soft mouth, loves to jump, and is brave on a cross country course. Lottie is a talented and kind pony who has achieved fantastic success in Pony Club. She has regularly competed in pony club activities, including dressage, showjumping, eventing, working hunter, stay away shows, beach rides, fun rides and more. Lottie has represented her pony club at regional finals for dressage and successfully qualified for showjumping, demonstrating her talents across all disciplines. Lottie is a fantastic cross country pony, jumps ditches, skinnies, steps, water and always comes back home safe. A real parents dream. She makes a brilliant pony club / riding club pony and she always gives 100%.

We bought her 3 years ago for my then 15 year old nervous rider and has taken her to now confidently jumping a 80cm / 90cm course very comfortably. She takes a miss to a fence and is fun and forward but not strong or silly, she just enjoys her job. She is not a kick along as she is responsive to your leg. Lottie is straightforward to a fence, not bothered by planks or fillers. Lottie has won numerous rosettes in all disciplines around South Wales, including Cricklands Stayaways and qualified for the Hickstead Sunshine Tour for the past 2 years. This season she has won our local competitive league in showjumping at both 75cm and 80cm.

Safe in traffic, including lorries, tractors and motorbikes, and good to hack in open spaces. Hacks alone or in company all day long. She loves a gallop but is easy to stop. Lottie is up to date with vaccinations, dentist, physio and saddler. Lottie has immaculate manners, she is good to catch, shoe and load onto trailers and lorries. Easy to take to shows and stands quietly on the box. Lottie is currently living out 24/7 in the summer and comes in at night in the winter. Lottie has no hidden quirks or stable vices. She does not buck, rear, bolt or nap. She is our one in a million pony and is beautiful inside and out.

Lottie is a stunning mare who is kind natured and a pleasure to own. We adore her and are looking to find her the most loving home that she deserves. Lottie is an excellent second pony for a confident child who wants to do a bit of everything and have loads of fun! It has been a very hard decision but my daughter is now off to university and she is too special to be wasted with me.

This is an extremely sad sale so genuine inquiries only please. Hundreds of photos and videos on request.

Tack and rugs available.

No time wasters or complete novices please.

CHIPS

Adorable 13.2hh 2017 Irish bay gelding.

This lovely little lad is used to being ridden and handled by small children, he’s been used as a fantastic family pony and is now outgrown.

Chips has hunted, he’s done showjumping shows, a handful of dressage tests, fun rides and pretty much a bit of everything else! He is an absolute sweetheart to ride and handle. Offering three lovely steady paces in the arena, with a fantastic steady canter, voice activated and a very uncomplicated and easy ride for any type of rider. He will jump coloured fences and XC fences all the same, doesn’t change in new environments and wants to get it right.

A genuinely lovely pony to hack out, brilliant in open spaces, chaotic environments and heavy / busy traffic, he doesn’t ride any different when alone or in company.

Chips is easy to have around, easy to do and a low maintenance type, a kind pony who loves children, likes to be groomed and pampered.

Open to any vet or trainer.

Ringo is super to hack and is good in all traffic.

Ringo loves pony mornings where is he tied up and groomed by as many children as possible, standing very still to encourage the more nervous children.

Ringo is also super good to groom with some one in a wheelchair and is happy to be led from a wheelchair or mobility scooter.

It’s with a very heavy heart that we offer Butleigh Tara (“Rara”) for sale. She’s an absolute super star, but sadly, I’ve realised she’s just a little bit too much pony for my 8-year-old daughter. Rara is dearly loved, so she will only go to a 5?? home where she’ll be adored as much as she is here.

Butleigh Tara (“Rara”) - Rara has helped bring my daughter on beautifully, teaching her to ride more from her seat and develop real feel in the saddle. She is a fantastic pony for a confident, competent child looking to have fun and progress across all disciplines.

Good in all ways to catch, load, farrier, clip etc.

Kind and gentle on the ground. Handled by children even my 5 year old.

Has competed SJ, Dressage, XC, showing, workers and hunted in a previous home.

Great to take to shows.

Hacks alone and in company.

Works in a natural outline with 3 lovely paces.

Bold and scopey jump.

Attends weekly lessons / clinics

Rara has done it all — showjumping, dressage, cross country, showing, working hunter, and hunting in her previous home. She’s a pleasure to take to shows and always behaves impeccably.

Rara would suit an experienced young rider looking for a forward-going, fun, and honest all-rounder. She’s ready to go out and bring home ribbons with her next best friend.

Blackie - cracking little 12.2 hacking pony

  • Very quick learner with huge scope for potential
  • Low maintenance with a laid-back attitude

For sale; Blackie, a wonderful sturdy little hacking / project pony

Fantastic temperament and character – great with small children, dogs and other horses with kind ground manners.

Can live out 24/7, but equally happy and hugely polite in a stable – even when his other stable mate goes off out without him.

Easy to catch, good for the farrier, good for the vet, good for the dentist, easy to worm and has been fully clipped without issue, although he is a bit impatient when his legs are clipped.

Will load perfectly onto either a small narrow trailer or large horsebox

Particularly enjoys a groom and a fuss and stands beautifully when tied up - fell asleep having his mane pulled recently

Barefoot – trims required every 7 weeks or so

Currently living with a mare, has also lived with a gelding and in a mixed herd without issue

Passed a stage 2 vetting when I bought him in 2022 and I’ve had no issues with him health wise/soundness since. No laminitis but we do manage his grazing

Up to date with vaccinations – next due by 15 December 2025, teeth rasped May 2025 and feet trimmed 13th August

He has apparently been broken as a ride and drive pony, but I’ve no experience of this so am not able to guarantee his ability

Has so far been unphased in all sorts of traffic - he is used to large farm vehicles and construction workers' vehicles

Low maintenance – lives pretty much on fresh air

LOVES, his hacking (alone or in company) and is very happy to squeeze through small gaps, cross little bridges, goes up and down banks, pops over logs, will splash through water and will go for hours without being silly once you turn for home.

Blackie is an honest, fun, genuine pony with a big heart and a lot of character. He will make a small lightweight adult or competent child jockey very happy. He has also proven to be safe and reliable when used as a lead rein pony. However, he is not a novice ride in certain situations. He started out with me as a green 5-year-old and was used exclusively for hacking for my daughter who was still relatively inexperienced herself. She had weekly lessons on him to further his education and they both made lovely progress, but we never took him to any pony club events, rallies, clinics etc. My daughter outgrew him rather too quickly, so he moved very locally (on loan) to my sister and her 2 children and has been with them since November 2024. Whilst he has been pretty much foot perfect hacking – on and off the lead rein – they started to take him to some small events and this is where we have run into some problems. He found the noisier events stressful and with a novice rider on board his behaviour escalated and sadly they had to pull out of the latest event as his jockey didn’t feel confident enough to continue with the class. I certainly believe this could be worked on (alias the project pony reference) as he has shown a flair for jumping, and at other quieter events with an experienced rider on board and a smaller group of ponies he has tried really hard, but realistically my niece needs a pony that has “been there and done it”.

I will only sell to a 5* home for him (no dealers or riding schools please) where he has company, endless hacks to enjoy and for somebody experienced to get the best out of him – he is a quick learner and whilst I already think he is absolutely cracking, there is much more potential to unlock for somebody who has time and love to give him.

He will come with all his tack, which includes a saddle bought brand new for him (Wintec) and some rugs, although unless the weather is absolutely brutal, he can manage without.

Very hard to pick videos, I have so many but I have shared one of him being an absolute gent in the stable for his current little owners, one of him having a canter in the open with his current young rider and another showing him coming unphased through a pond with other ponies on a recent hack (he is the one in the front). All videos have been taken in the last 6 weeks.

Peggy is an absolute pleasure to have on the yard. Super easy and uncomplicated to do on the ground from bathing/clipping/farrier/dentist.
Undersaddle, Pegs is a lovely forward going ride and easy off the leg. She's excellent in the school and will happily walk/trot/canter. Peggy has popped over a few jumps however jumping isn’t really my thing so she really hasn’t done much of this at all. Although I’m sure she would be great. Pegs hasn’t been rushed, so she's a great clean canvas for someone to really mould her into something special!
Peggy hacks out alone or in company going first or last. Nothing phases Pegs while out be it lorries, motorbikes or even deer! She has done farm rides and beach rides.
She is up to date with all injections teeth and farrier. Loads fine on a trailer or box and travels well.
She is PSSM1 negative and tested Homozygous, meaning she will always throw a coloured foal if you wanted to breed.
Registered with CHAPS.

This pony has been here before. Brilliant with nervous or first timers or small children lovely nature! Knows his job and never misbehaves.

Ridden in a snaffle doesn’t bolt buck rear of nap not spooky at all. Excellent little pony to teach children to ride, not lazy either kick and go pull and stop.

Hacks out alone or in company. No stable vices not the best to clip and needs a kind farrier as little worried about men.

Same home since a youngster, no jockey forces sale of much loved pony.

Teeth and wormed done.

Super low maintenance lives in or out not one health issue. Lives in or out.

Goes on and off the lead rein. Loves jumping. Good to travel.

Ingrid - The Perfect Pony! Meet Ingrid, a charming 7-year-old mare standing at 13.3hh. With her solid “foot in each corner” build, she boasts fantastic confirmation and a delightful temperament. Ingrid has been loved and well-cared for in the same home since she was a yearling, but sadly, she’s too small for her previous owner.

Placid and manners to die for

Full history known; had a foal 2 years ago and is a fantastic mother.

PSSM1 Negative

Recently backed (just a few weeks ago) and has been incredibly good. Still green but eager to learn!

Ingrid enjoys riding in open fields, hacks beautifully, and has even been to arena hire. She’s a sweet little mare ready for a new adventure!

Available to view after this weekend.

Very reasonable mid 4 figures now—please note that the price will increase as her training progresses.

Serious inquiries only, please—no time wasters.

If you’re looking for a lovely pony with a bright future, Ingrid could be the one for you! Don’t miss out on this fantastic opportunity!
