  • 13.2h Pony Club All Rounder (Gelding)
  • Must be a gelding

I'm looking for a sane 13.2h Pony Club pony for my capable 10 year old daughter.

Must be a gelding please (due to other geldings). We also enjoy hunting and showing so a good looking pony would be ideal.

Happy to consider native breeds (we enjoy M&M showing) but nothing too cobby. I don't have a huge budget but I can offer a very knowledgeable home.

We are based in Somerset and I would rather not have to drive half way across the country for viewings.

Thank you for reading this advert and I look forward to hearing from you.

Skye has the perfect temperament with a lovely attitude to her work and always wants to please.

She has schooled around 1.30m but still benefits from being eligible for Discovery. She has tremendous scope and shows a lot of promise for the future and will easily take on the biggest 138 tracks with the right jockey. She has jumped her first Winters (1.10m first round) finishing with only 2 poles in the jump off. She is a forward, responsive ride and only for sale as rider moving onto 148’s.

Excellent to hack alone or in company and loves going cross country schooling where she is brave and willing. Skye would be fantastic at all Pony Club disciplines!

Up to date vaccinations, back, shoes, teeth and no vices! Easy to do in all ways, a real pleasure to have on the yard. Great to catch, clip, shoe, load, travel etc. Admired wherever she goes!

This little pony is a dream, excellent in traffic, clip, shoe, box, catch etc.

He will hack out alone or in company first or last in the heaviest of traffic, or happily leads out with another horse.

This pony is really laid back but can step up when attending shows until he settles hence why he is being sold as a lead rein pony. He doesn't bite, kick, buck or rear.

Blizzard is a very pretty 6 year old blue roan Irish sports pony gelding. We have owned him for nearly 2 years since he was 4 years old. He was professionally backed and has been ridden and handled entirely by a small 11 year old boy, who is now 13 and has out grown him. He has spent the last 2 years hacking, schooling and showjumping and has taken everything in his stride. He has a talent for jumping. He is balanced and rhythmical round a course of jumps and will offer a flying change if needed. We have not rushed him. He spent last year competing successfully at 70 and 80 cm. Last autumn we moved up a height and he is now competing at competitions at 80 and 90 cm quite happily. There is plenty of scope for him to jump higher as he gets more experience.

Blizzard has been to plenty of competitions, both day shows and stay away shows. He is very calm at shows. He loads and travels well in lorry and trailer. He doesn't stress if other ponies leave and will happily stand quietly at a show eating from a hay net.

Blizzard is a naturally forward pony. He is responsive to the leg and used to being ridden by a competent child rider. He has never bucked, reared , spun or bolted. He would not suit a novice rider but would be a perfect second pony for a competent child who wants a pony to have fun, especially if they like to jump. I think that he would make a very good hunting pony but we do not hunt so he has not hunted. He is used to hacking both alone and in small groups.

Blizzard has never been lame, sick or sorry. He has never had laminitis, sweet itch or sarcoids. He has clean legs and is open to being vetted. He is uptodate with vaccinations, back , teeth etc. he is currently shod just with fronts, but in the summer had a full set for stud holes. He is good with the farrier. He is a good doer, currently living out 24/7 in a small herd.

Honey, 12.2hh, 15 year old Icelandic pony mare

Ref #: 203730
£2,000
  • Bay
  • Mare
  • 15 years
  • 12.2 hands

Honey is a lovely pony, full of character, we bought Honey for my two daughters and she has been the perfect first pony for them, only selling as they are now ready for the next step up.

Honey is a true all rounder and over the past year we have owned her she has taken part in a variety of events including a week of pony camp, nervous and novice showjumping, local showing, cross country training, hacking and regular lessons at the riding school we are based at.

Honey is being sold as a lead rein pony but she would also be suitable for a rider just coming off the lead as she is a steady ride. She will happily be lead around on hacks or in the school with a novice rider but she will also step up a gear for a more experienced rider. My older daughter can ride her around a small course of showjumps un aided.

Honey has taken my daughters to their first local show where she behaved impeccably in a busy show environment. With a win in a big lead rein showing class and placed in both lead rein and novice showjumping.

Honey also took my older daughter to her first cross country training session where again she was well behaved and looked after her nervous rider.

Honey is brilliant to hack out and will hack alone or with others. She is not phased by traffic, tractors or trains and is good in open spaces.

Honey is good to load and travels well, good to bath, groom and catch. She can be a bit nervous when being clipped but a bucket of carrots acts as a good distraction for this.

Honey does crib occasionally but this does not affect her in any way.

13.2hh rising 14yo apoloosa mare. Spotty is a well known local pony who has done all pony club activities including hunting, ODE’s, camps, SJ and rallies. She’s been there, done that and got the T shirt!

Forward thinking pony who just loves having fun!

She was owned by her previous family for 5 years where she competed regularly in all Area Events at Novice Level and won the junior show jumper at the equine fair.

Hunted for 3 seasons with the Dartmoor hunt, attended 2 Eventer camps and at least 5 PC camps at Pontispool.

She was then loaned by the family to a novice but confident rider who continued to have fun with Spotty at a much lower level.

As our first competitive pony Spotty has taught my daughter a tremendous amount! They have competed at various local SJ events up to 2’6 and have attended regular rallies including dressage, mounted games, XC, SJ and two summer camps.

They have represented our Pony Club at area dressage twice and this year qualified for the regionals at Bicton.

Whilst in recent years Spotty has been ridden by novice riders, we feel she would be better suited to a more confident rider who can enjoy all she has to offer.

Spotty is ridden in a snaffle but is a responsive, forward going ride. She hacks alone and in company and is good in traffic.

She has no health issues and is up to date with teeth and vaccinations.

Excellent stable manners and easy to do including box, shoe, clip etc. Lives in or out.

Sadly for sale as outgrown after 2 fun filled years. Knowledgable Pony Club home preferred.

Price includes all tack and rugs and a barnsby saddle.

Oreo is a lovely, chunky young cob with a sweet nature. A pleasure to handle, very easy to do in all respects. A good doer, and is currently barefoot.

Up to date with jabs, worming, teeth, physio and farrier.

He is well schooled on the flat, and will happily pop a jump, although we have not done a lot of jumping with him. He loves his hacking, alone or in company, in front or behind, he does not hot up in open spaces or when he is in company and he is excellent in the heaviest of traffic.

Oreo is a straight forward ride, and as such is a confidence giver. He is not a kick along plod but goes nicely from the leg in all paces but does not rush.

Easy to catch, load, clip etc.

We would love him to go to a lovely family home who will love and enjoy him as we have. A showing home would be lovely but somewhere where he will have a lot of fun and love is the most important thing.

He will be a super fun ride for a child or small adult.

He comes with some tack and his rugs.

This has been a very difficult decision but a change in circumstances is the reason for sale.

We have lots more pictures and videos if you would like to know more then please get in touch

With a very heavy heart we have decided to sell one of our lovely ponies. Seamoor’s Nutcracker is a 12hh, 13 years old fantastic grassroots/potential BYRDS beautiful British riding pony.

She was a very successful lead rein show pony in her previous home with wins at county level. She has done all pc activities including camp / rallies / handy pony and green shoots and was in 2017 part of a successful team at grassroots regionals coming 3rd out of 27 in their arena.

Cracker’s passion is for the Dressage or show arena where she is anyone’s ride-even novice or nervous. Wins in intro and prelim with her previous owners too numerous to mention.

To jump and hack in open spaces she becomes a second pony.

Lexi is a pretty 13.2-hand, 12-year-old (2006), Chestnut Gypsy Cob mare accomplished in jumping, dressage and showing. She has competed regularly throughout her life in all of these types of competition.

She has a great temperament. She never kicks, bucks or bites, and behaves excellently and helpfully with the farrier - as well as during dental and vet checks. She loads and unloads onto trailers with no problem, and is always well mannered.

She is a forward pony to ride on a snaffled bit, requiring no kicks or spurs to get her up to trot or canter. But she is also very easy to stop. These two traits make her a perfect second pony for a young up and coming rider.

If you’re not competing, Lexi hacks out beautifully in company or by herself, and she is not spooked by traffic.

Lexi likes being with other ponies and horses, whether in a field at home or out at Pony Club/camps, or competitions.

We would love her to go to a home that can make the most of her talents, and ideally where she will be able to share a field with or at least see another horse or two!

Sadly my daughter has outgrown Lexi and we are looking for a perfect new home for her.

We are looking for a real family pony 11.1hh to 13hh for our 7 year old daughter.

She is just coming off the lead rein, So we are looking for a gold dust schoolmaster type that would be happy on and off the lead rein. We arent after a show pony just a nice all rounder that would like to do some hacking, the odd ponyclub rally, a lesson a week and pop round a course of mini jumps when they are both ready. It wont be a hard life so would suit an older pony that could show her the ropes.

We can offer an experienced home with other horses and lots of love on our own land and stables.

Ideally loan but would buy for the right pony. We are in no rush and if your not quite ready to move on your pony but maybe within the next year please get in touch

  • 128cm superstar.

Pav truly is our pony of a lifetime, he has taken my daughter from jumping cross poles to Winters tracks, starting height of 1.05m, where he gained his two double clears qualifying for the second rounds. We believe he is capable of jumping HOYS classes. He is an exceptionally talented pony.

Unfortunately my daughter is now too old for the 128cm classes and that is why we are selling him. He is a forward going pony, fast against the clock who has so much talent, scope and ability, he just loves to jump. Pav is an extremely competitive pony with the heart of a lion, I cannot stress how much we love him and it is an extremely difficult sale so the right home is very important to us.

Excels in dressage, he is established at medium level and could do an F.E.I pony team test. He finds all the work easy, has started flying changes and canter pirouettes. He recently won an elementary with 69% and qualified 2016 for the County Championships Dressage where the team came third and he won his arena.

He has competed in NSEA JWS classes getting high style marks and qualifying for the Nationals 2017, 2018

Pav would make a fantastic working hunter pony having competed in the Nursery Stakes at Royal Windsor and with his previous owners he was a very successful First Ridden.
Whatever sphere you choose, Pav would be competitive at the highest level, we feel he would also make a brilliant event pony. He enjoys all his work and we have been very lucky to have owned him for the past four years.

Grindles Pirate King (Pie) - Pie is a beautiful little pony who loves a fuss and good in the stable and easy to do.

He is great on the lead rein and we have achieved good results in the show ring.

He leads beautifully from another horse and has done all pony club activities. He went to camp last year on the lead.

He can be sharp off the lead for a small child so is not a first pony (No bucking or rearing.. but forward and a bit strong) but would be good for a confident and competitive child as a second or 3rd pony as he has a super jump on him.

He is a saint to be clipped and shod. Is easy to catch and load.

This is an extremely sad sale as we have had this pony 2 years and we adore him.

5* home only for this special pony with heaps of potential.
