Having decided to keep Ollie for PC areas the time truly has come to find him a new home. This is an extremely reluctant sale of a much loved pony - our daughter does everything with him herself and he'd stay another year if not hopelessly outgrown. Ollie is the type you can entrust his rider to whilst sitting back and enjoying the experience.
Ollie is incredibly willing and versatile whether it be dressage, jumping, working hunter, games, or having a blast round farm rides and XC fences. He’s taken our daughter from jumping 50 to 90cm classes confidently with NSEA qualification’s for 80 & 90 JWS along with novice dressage this Autumn, also qualified for PC champs novice dressage this August. He won the PC grassroots champs 2023 in the most appalling downpour! He enjoys XC although this is not something we've concentrated on.
He is great to hack out both on the road and in open spaces and can also be ridden tackless.
He will step up or down to build confidence. We'd like to find Ollie a considerate little jockey who'll treat him kindly - in order to get the most out of him he's ideally suited to a child who is already jumping around 50/60cm and who has developed reasonable balance on the flat with good hands (riding at BD Intro and lower prelim level which he'll help them build upon). He will look after a nervous rider as he’s never bolted or run off but he wont perform unless he’s given the correct basic aids (he wont go to anyone requiring a first ridden so please don’t ask). With correct aiding he’s responsive and works off the leg.
Well established lateral work including leg yield, rein back, simple changes, turns on the forehand and haunches and working on correct flying changes! Ollie would probably enjoy working equitation. Scores mid 70%'s prelim to decent 60s in recent elementary test – could go a lot further if this was his only discipline.
Wins and qualifications are too numerous to list but include NSEA Hickstead and Addington champs along with PC regionals, champs and Spring Festivals.
We are in touch with all three of Ollies previous owners and his previous jockeys have all touched base and share their equine journeys via social media (once old enough!).
He is excellent to handle, groom, shoe, load, bath, clip, etc.
Looking for a 5* home preferably on a private yard for this fabulous little pony.
A full wardrobe will be included for Ollies next adventure.
