Based at Rolleston Centre

Meet Tommy, a cute pony who is looking for his new home as a non-ridden companion. Tommy would suit a home where he can retire with his other horsey friends.

Tommy is generally easy to handle once he is settled in his new environment. He does require some extra training in some areas so would suit an experienced home who can continue his education.

Tommy does require some restrictions, especially during the summer months so would suit a home with other ponies with similar grazing requirements. Once settled Tommy will stay alone for short periods of time, making him the perfect companion for a ridden horse or pony.

Can you offer Tommy a loving home?

Mawcarse Ernest

Ref #: 403361
  • Genuine lovely pony
£3,000 ONO
  • Shetland
  • Chestnut
  • Gelding
  • 3 years
  • 10 hands
  • Genuine lovely pony

Ernie is 3 year old (SPSBS passport) standard Shetland gelding. He should make just under/10h. Loveable and will do anything for food, never been overweight with me.

He’s been lightly backed over the last month and hacks around the farm with my 3year old so he is NOT the finished article. I’ve long reined him up and down busy roads and he’s coped well with wagons, caravans, bikes and drivers that don’t slow down. He went to a local show last year and acted like he’d been doing it his whole life.Popped a few jumps loose and has good scope.

He’s up-to-date with vaccines and worming. Good for the farrier and is messed around with by my 3 year old on the ground (grooming, feet picked etc.) and is a gentleman.

He can be a bit difficult to catch in Summer but will come in with others so would suit a smaller field or a herd. He comes to the gate in winter. He’s happy on his own or with others.

Please don’t be expecting a bomb proof pony, he is only 3 and hasn’t yet experienced everything the world can throw at him, but he is genuine and has the foundations to be a lovely little pony for a very special person.

A very sad sale, but he’s wasted just hacking around occasionally and my little rider is now into dancing and he is too nice to just occasionally be ridden and needs a job.

Open to sensible offers for the right home, where he will be loved and brought on to his full potential.

Hero’s happiest life is spent in the paddock with friends. He flourishes on 24/7 turnout or in a setup where he can always see companions. Since moving to full turnout, he has become relaxed and content, showing what a lovely pony he is when in the right environment, he could part stable with open access or once settled may part stable in a routine.

He is perfect as a field companion. He integrates well with mixed herds of all sizes, ages, mares, and geldings. Hero is easy to handle and enjoys routine. He is quite food-motivated, which makes him engaging to work with.

Hero is ready to find his forever home.

THE PONY EVERYONE DREAMS ABOUT.

“Smirnoff Ice” is the pony everyone wants, very seldomly do ponies come up for sale/lease like this!!

Smirfy as we call him is an absolute legend, he’s taught my daughter so much and is the safest pony you will find, he does everything, he’s a champion Irish show jumper, jumping courses of 130/140 at his prime, he is still happy jumping a course of 100, he will jump much bigger and doesn’t stop at anything but he’s 25 years old so let’s give him a break!

My daughter has done everything on him, showjumping, eventing, X-country, hunting, beach rides, hacking alone or in company! You name it this pony does everything you want, he’s a pleasure on the ground to groom or be your best friend, travels really well and is a really clean pony in the stable too!!

  • Looking for his forever home as a non-ridden companion

Trojan is a sweet-natured 13.3hh cob gelding looking for his forever home as a non-ridden companion. He came to us due to a change in his previous owner’s circumstances and has settled well into a gelding herd, living out 24/7. Friendly and people-oriented, he is usually the first to wander over and greet you at the gate.

Trojan is good to catch, enjoys being groomed, and is good to have his feet picked out. He is also very good for the farrier, and his feathers are currently clipped to support ongoing leg management due to his breed.

Trojan does benefit from a confident handler who can continue his clicker-training work to help him feel more at ease around the vet. He can part-stable if required and will need restricted grazing to help to maintain his ideal weight.
