We are looking for a very special home for Bertie, a lovely 13.2hh New Forest pony.

Bertie is 22 and has spent the last 6 years in a riding school. He belonged to a family member who sadly passed away, and we now feel it’s time for Bertie to enjoy a slower, quieter pace of life.

We would love to find him a kind home where he could enjoy some hacking and plenty of fuss, or he would be equally happy as a companion pony. We are not looking for a busy or demanding ridden home for him, he’s done his years of work and deserves to take things a little easier now. He can still be ridden, schooled and even enjoys jumping but all occasionally rather than regularly. If you do try to school him regularly he will put in the odd cheeky buckaroo move to let you know these days are done. It’s nothing wild and easy to sit. My daughter has now figured out when he’s going to do it and so can avoid him doing it but you need to take the time to listen to him.

He would suit a teen or small adult rather than a novice child.

Bertie is easy to do, loads well, is good for the farrier and is barefoot. He respects electric fencing and is good to catch, particularly when there’s a treat involved! He can happily live in or out.

He’s a lovely, straightforward older boy, and finding him a kind, knowledgeable home where he can enjoy his later years is our priority.

13.2hh Coloured Gelding – 13 Years

A very special home is sought for our lovely 13.2hh coloured gelding, who we have owned and loved for the past five years.

During that time, he has enjoyed low-level Pony Club activities and plenty of hacking. He is a kind, genuine pony who is great with children and absolutely loves being pampered, groomed and fussed over.

Due to a leg injury, he is no longer suitable for more demanding ridden work. We are therefore looking for a caring, knowledgeable home where he can enjoy a quieter life with light, low-level riding. He would be ideal as a lead-rein pony for a child to enjoy gentle rides and hacking, with lots of attention in between.

He lives out happily, is barefoot and is a good doer, so is very straightforward to keep. He lives happily with others and also makes an excellent field companion.

This is a genuinely difficult decision after five years with us, so finding the right home is our priority. We would love to find a family who can give him a useful but easy life and, most importantly, a child who will love him and give him all the fuss he deserves.

Bramble has been very well-handled from birth, he is good with the farrier, walks out well in hand and is used to being both groomed and bathed.

By the well-renowned Highland stallion Glenwestcastle Loch Rannoch, out of Cathkin Katie Rose, Bramble is an exciting future showing and breeding prospect. Equally, with his exceptional temperament, he will make a super general purpose pony and friend.

Bramble has taken part in our small equine assisted learning programme from the age of two months and therefore whilst he is not over-handled for his age, he has met with a variety of different people ( and dogs!) already, both young and old.

Wanted Irish draught mare or gelding ( or breed with similar nature and stature) for light hacking and to be a companion to 18 year old ID mare.

This is an excellent forever home for the right horse who is easy to handle, good in traffic and is ready for a slower pace of life, daily turn out and light hacking a couple of times a week. Must be a nice character with good manners and ideally turn out ideally with a mare.

Must suit a variety of riders, more whoa than go.

My mare is a bit lame and arthritic so the friend needs to be happy not to have a job and be low lami risk as they will go out every day. No ongoing foot issues which will prevent being turned out every day in winter.

I am a lady in my fifties and have owned my mare since she was 6, now 18. References available.

Denzel is a 10.2hh, 7 year old Dartmoor hill pony.

Denzel spent the first 4 years of his life wild on Dartmoor until he was rounded up and put through the sales. Due to this he can be cautious around men.

He came to us unhandled in November 2024 since then we have introduced him to the correct handling and broken him in. He can walk trot canter under saddle on or off the lead rein

Denzel has the sweetest temperament on the ground and would make a lovely inhand/ showing pony
