It's hard to believe nearly 2 months have passed since lock down began. We hope you're all staying safe and sane during this difficult time.

The British Equestrian Federation have reviewed their stance on riding and coaching, and the following developments have been announced:

Coaches can travel to yards for individual face-to-face training in controlled outdoor environments. They must ensure that the necessary measures, risk assessments and safeguarding provisions are put in place, including checking insurance cover with their providers.

Riders are now permitted to transport horses to a venue for an individual lesson or facility hire outdoors. Those involved in travelling to or from a venue must all be from the same household. Riders may meet with one other from outside their household, which may be a coach or other participant, all with the proviso that the appropriate social distancing and hygiene practices are in place.

Venues should conduct full risk assessments and ensure that the required public health, hygiene and social distancing measures are implemented effectively.

Social distancing must be observed at all times, as should public health, hygiene and biosecurity requirements. It is asked that the equestrian public consider the risk of their activity, and to ride or exercise where it is safe to do so and within the capabilities and fitness levels of them and their horse.

Amazing second pony 13hh Roan Gelding

Spirit is the sweetest, kindest pony you will ever meet. He is a Welsh PB around 13hh and will be 10 in May.

He is a capable all-rounder showing great promise in his flatwork and jumping. At the moment he can jump a track of 70 cms comfortably and well but with scope for more.

He works politely in a snaffle for everything. Doesn’t get fast or tank off but is still forward and responsive.

He needs a balanced, gentle rider with soft hands but if you are, is really easy and forward and responsive to ride without being too sharp and is so willing. He is fantastic in lessons and really focuses on the work and tries his best.

He is not a pony for a novice rider or home but is a good second pony. Doesn’t buck, bolt or rear. We ride him bareback and in a headcollar - he is very chilled out. He is great in open fields, big arenas, competition environment ... He doesn’t change at all.

He hacks out fine with another pony or a human on the ground and is good with cars, bikes coming up behind him, big vehicles etc are no problem. He hacks around our fields with my daughter fine on his own.

Perfect to catch, he is the first to come to you in the field and will stand happily for ages being groomed. He prefers not to be left standing tied up for ages on his own and will get fidgety and impatient if tied and just left, but if you are there brushing and generally faffing around he loves the attention!

He does not have a bad bone in his body and really bonds with his humans and likes spending time with them.

He currently lives out but has been stabled at night this winter and adapted fine between the two. He is a friendly and sociable horse in the field and respects electric fencing.

NO vices, loads fine in a lorry or trailer .. immediately with a friend, needs a little more gentle persuasion on his own but this is improving all the time. He is really good for the farrier (just fronts), dentist and the vet.

He is fully up to date with farrier, vaccinations, dentist and physio. Open to vetting. Has WPCS green passport.

He can come with his bridle (plus NS bit) and his fitted saddle.

This pony is very special to me and he will only go to the best and most suitable home, no trials or loans but I am happy for prospective buyers to make multiple visits – catch him in and ride him as they need to to make a good decision.

Blueberry Bear also known as Teddy is a very handsome homebred blue roan colt born end of May 2018. Born bright bay he turned blue roan at about 3 months old! I own his Mum who is a bright bay standard Shetland mare. I also own his granny who is blue roan standard Shetland both can be seen. Dad was a gypsy cob making Ted a mini cob!!

I think Ted will mature to around 11hh and he will be a stocky chap.

Ted is super friendly and a real people person, he loves a cuddle and a groom. He has a great character and always makes me smile.

He is a very well put together. He moves straight and has no blemishes.

He will make a super PC/ride/drive pony for the future. Would also make a great companion/show in until he’s ready to have a job when he’s older.

Very sad genuine sale. Good home a must for this special boy.

Priced very sensibly to reflect that whoever buys him will probably choose to geld him, hence give away price.

Never had any health issues. Wormed to date.

Genuine enquires only please.
