- Based at our Burford Centre -

Rose is a gentle, sweet-natured cob mare who has recently returned into our care through absolutely no fault of her own, and she’s now looking for her new home as a non-ridden companion. Living out 24/7 on sparse grazing, she’s a perfect match for other good doers who also need restricted grass. Rose can live with both mares and geldings, and could adapt to part stabling with a steady routine.

Rose can be a little unsure at times, especially when settling in, but with a quiet home and a calm, confident handler she’ll truly flourish. She absolutely loves a good groom and will soak up every bit of fuss and affection.

- Based at a foster yard in Buckinghamshire -

Meet Stitch, a sweet-natured cob who is looking for a kind, experienced home where he can continue to grow in confidence and enjoy life as a companion pony. Having come into our care from a private owner, Stitch is now settling into a new routine and currently lives out happily 24/7 with other geldings, where he enjoys the reassurance of herd life.

Stitch is a gentle pony who enjoys building connections with people and thrives with calm, patient handling. While he can initially feel unsure in unfamiliar situations, he is making lovely progress and is becoming more confident with everyday interaction and handling. Once he feels comfortable, Stitch shows a kind and affectionate side and enjoys spending time with those he trusts.

He is continuing to build confidence with new experiences, including routine care such as vet and farrier visits, and responds well to positive reinforcement and steady guidance. Stitch benefits from consistency, reassurance, and handlers who are happy to work at his pace and celebrate the small wins along the way.

Stitch would thrive in a quiet, understanding home with experienced and confident carers who can offer him a relaxed, routine-based lifestyle with plenty of turnout and equine companionship. With time, patience, and kindness, Stitch has all the potential to become a deeply rewarding companion and form a wonderful bond with his future home.

11.2, 9 year old gelding for loan in Devon/Cornwall

Ref #: 409171
  • Welsh Part Bred
  • Grey roan
  • Gelding
  • 9 years
  • 11.2 hands

Albert, 11.2, 9-year-old gelding. Sadly outgrown
Albert is looking for a loan home in the Devon/Cornwall area.

We’ve owned Albert for the past 3 years and he’s taken my daughter from lead rein to off the lead.

I’m offering him for someone to loan who wants to start on the lead and then come off after a period of time, once he’s built a partnership with his new rider. He’s not a complete FYFR for a new rider as he’s not a plod and can be spooky if it’s very windy. He keeps a good pace and can easily keep up with my horse out hacking and is great on the lead.

He’s done fun rides, lots of hacking on open moorland and some hunting with me on foot and two pony club camps on the lead.

He hasn’t done much jumping as my daughter hasn’t wanted to jump.

Good to catch, load and clip. He’s nervous with the farrier and needs someone to hold him to reassure him. Never had laminitis/sweet itch and is shod in front.

He would be suited to someone who wants to do lots of hacking and some pony club.

He will only go to a kind, knowledgeable home.

More photos and videos available on request. Please call/message me on 07968 365263

Blue Cross Sally

Ref #: 408385
  • Future children's project pony
  • Lives with mares & geldings
  • Rewarding to train
£400
  • Cob
  • Chestnut
  • Mare
  • 2 years
  • 11 hands
  • Future children's project pony
  • Lives with mares & geldings
  • Rewarding to train

- Based at a foster yard in Leicestershire -

Sally is a charming young cob mare with a bright future ahead of her. She is still very much learning about the world, but she is already showing a kind and willing nature. Currently living out in a herd of both mares and geldings, she is used to a social environment and enjoys the company of other horses. Sally has recently begun learning to spend more time in a stable, and while she can be a little unsure at times, she is gradually settling into new routines.

In her handling, Sally is proving to be a sweet and genuine youngster. She is good to catch and will happily let you approach and put on her headcollar. She enjoys being groomed and handled, though like many young horses, she can fidget slightly and is still working on her balance, especially when picking up her feet. She is at the early stages of her education, so she will benefit from a patient and consistent handler who can continue building her confidence and basic groundwork skills.

Sally would make a lovely unbacked project for someone looking to bring on a young pony and develop a strong bond from the start. Due to her age and level of training, she will need an experienced home that can guide her through her next stages of learning. With time, patience, and the right support, Sally has all the potential to grow into a well-rounded and rewarding pony.

Blue Cross Cheerio

Ref #: 408381
  • Future project pony
  • Lives out 24/7 or can part stable
  • Excellent companion to other youngsters
£600
  • Cob
  • Dark bay
  • Mare
  • 2 years
  • 13.2 hands
  • Future project pony
  • Lives out 24/7 or can part stable
  • Excellent companion to other youngsters

- Based at our Burford centre -

Cheerio is searching for a knowledgeable, compassionate home that can see her potential and is excited to help her grow into it. With her rescue history, she will need someone who understands the importance of taking things slowly, building trust, and giving her the steady foundations she may not have previously had. A calm, consistent environment where she can feel safe and understood will allow her confidence to continue to blossom.

She is a lovely future project for someone experienced and patient, with the skills to produce a young horse thoughtfully and correctly. She has the potential to mature to approximately 14.2hh, making her a versatile prospect for a range of disciplines in the future. For now, her focus should be on groundwork, handling, and positive early education to ensure she develops into a well-balanced and willing partner.

Cheerio will benefit from ongoing, kind training that prioritises correct basics - leading, standing, vet and farrier visits, loading, and gradually introducing new experiences in a positive way. As she progresses, she may go on to be ridden, but she will need someone committed to setting her up properly from the start. With time, patience, and thoughtful education, Cheerio has every chance to mature into a rewarding and capable companion for the right person.

  • Unbacked project pony

  • Potential showing prospect

- Based at a foster yard in Buckinghamshire -

Will is a lovely young cob looking for a quiet, private home where he can continue his education at his own pace towards becoming a ridden pony. He can be considered a sensitive project, so will require an experienced, patient handler to bring out his full potential. Due to his size, he would be best suited to a child.

Kind and gentle by nature, Will enjoys a calm, consistent routine and would thrive in a home where he can build confidence and trust. He would also be well suited to in-hand showing, where he can really shine as a smart young cob.

A hardy type, Will is happy living out with geldings. Still settling into his current routine, Will is looking for someone willing to give him time and understanding. In the right home, he has the potential to develop into a rewarding ridden pony as well as a lovely companion.

Blue Cross Panda

  • Laid back temperament
£180
  • Cob

  • Mare
  • 9 years
  • 13 hands
  • Excellent companion to other horses
  • Lives out 24/7 or can part stable
  • Laid back temperament
- Based at a foster yard in Bedfordshire -

Panda is a gentle soul who is looking for a special home with someone who understands that not every horse finds the world easy straight away. She has had a difficult start in life and, because of this, needs a calm, patient and sympathetic environment where she can feel safe and unhurried.

Beneath her worries is a sweet, sensitive mare who wants to trust. Panda does best with quiet routines, kind handling, and people who are happy to let her build confidence at her own pace. When given time and reassurance, she shows her softer side and begins to relax into her surroundings.

Panda would suit a peaceful home with steady equine companions and an adopter who values kindness over quick progress. She is not looking for pressure or expectations – just security, consistency, and someone who will see her for who she is and help her continue to feel safe.

If you have a gentle heart, a quiet setup, and the patience to let a horse learn that life can be kind, Panda could be incredibly rewarding. Offering her a home would truly change her world.

Thunder is a sweet-natured and easy-going pony who thrives living out 24/7 and enjoys the company of other horses. He settles well in a mixed herd and takes confidence from being around his equine friends.

Thunder is a pleasure to have around and is well-mannered in his everyday handling. He is easy to catch, enjoys grooming and attention, and is good for both the farrier and vet. He has a calm, genuine nature and forms lovely bonds with the people who care for him.

Although Thunder prefers the freedom and routine of outdoor living rather than traditional stabling, he settles beautifully in a calm environment where he feels secure and comfortable. Currently living out in a herd of both mares and geldings, Perky is used to a social lifestyle and enjoys being around other horses. She is also beginning to learn about spending more time stabled, although she can still feel a little unsettled as she adjusts to new routines.

In her day-to-day handling, Perky is a sweet and approachable youngster. She is easy to catch and will happily let you walk straight up to her and put on a headcollar.
