Celton Avallon (Alfie) is the most genuine pony anyone could wish for. He has made my sons dreams come true by not only competing at HOYS but winning and going mini champion 2024.

Alfie has the nickname 'Perfect Pete' as he is the easiest pony in all ways.

Alfie knows his job inside out and has happily taken a tiny jockey round her first canter go-round/double bridle in the Junior M&M class at Stoneleigh.

Alfie is the same at home as he is at a show and never gets excited with stay away shows.

Loads & travels on his own or in company. Does not mind standing on the lorry when his friends are competing.

Does not require hours of working in and is never lunged. He is a proper child's pony who only wants to please.

He will ping around a show ground all day and is never happier than when he is being schooled.

Alfie has also shown some promise over a fence but we have concentrated on showing.

Alfie would also excel as a dressage pony as he has the movement, brain, attitude and conformation.

This is a very sad sale of a pony in a million but my son has hopelessly outgrown him and he is too good to not teach another child and make their dreams come true. I have no doubt that Alfie will come down the centre line at HOYS again with the right little jockey as he oozes quality and presence.

Please no time wasters as this has taken a year to convince my son to sell him.

Rusty is a beautiful pony with great prospects.

He is just starting out gently now and ready to bring on further.

He’s worked well in the arena and had light hacks around the village. Great with traffic tractors etc.

Obviously he’s only three so I’ve only done light work with him but he’s showing great Promise.

He was going to be a project for my grandchildren but I have health issues now and can’t devote the time to him sadly.

He will make a super lead rein /first ridden. Excellent pedigree.

Where do I start… Tommy is an absolute legend of a pony and has given us so much fun since owning him.

He is very straightforward to do anything with and is always handled by children!

He is never sick or sorry, fits into whichever routine you have. Never needs hours of warming up at shows and I can put my daughter straight on even at the busiest of environments.

Whilst being with us Tommy has mainly been shown, qualifying and competing at LIHS 24 with my daughter, he has also been show jumping up to 60cm, X country, regularly ridden bare back up the gallops/jumped in the school, and they even tried barrel racing. He’s very safe in open spaces. He’s been an elf and escorted Father Christmas at Lingfield Park Racecourse. Modelled for Kids2Ponies with plenty of footage on their TikTok/Insta.

My daughter has done everything with Tommy (Els has even thought him to fist bump) and she absolutely adores him. He would be a FYFR type or Lead Rein to then go onto FYFR, perfect for the LHIS working sports pony classes. Although we haven’t done any pony club with him due to other commitments, he would make a fabulous PC pony or I’m sure he would even love some autumn hunting.

He’s the perfect all rounder, that you can easily love.
Sadly my son has no interest in riding and my daughter has her next pony to bring on alongside a busy football schedule.

12.2 Safe, sensible, been there done that Pony club all rounder. Welsh section C, 16 years old. More Woah than go, kick along. Well known to Meynell pony club.

Completed PC junior camp this summer, winning her ODE section and getting best dressage.

Has been out show jumping, dressage, XC and showing with my daughter, winning numerous rosettes and sashes.

Happy to go on or off lead rein. Happy to trot around a course of cross poles or canter round a bigger course in a lovely steady canter rhythm- we’ve been jumping up to 60cm course, 75cm single fence.

Good to box, shoe, clip and excellent out hacking alone or in company. Will stand to be groomed and messed with for hours

In the past she has had 1 blood test with slightly raised insulin, but reversed with weight loss - no history of laminitis.

Has had a previous minor suspensory ligament injury (October 2024) given all clear by vet January 2025 and has been in full work since with no problems.

Sad sale of much loved pony as my daughter now wants to go into affiliated showing.

We have owned James for the last 2 years and in that time my now 8 year old daughter has done all pony club activities including camp, hunter trials, rallies and has been on the mounted games team.

Successful showing at local shows.

James excels at jumping, he is happy just to trot round a small course or step up and race around bigger jumps and is fast against the clock. Many, many rosettes won Showjumping.
Raced in Shetland Grand National with previous homes.

James is now very sadly outgrown and we feel he would best suit a family either to do lead rein or for younger children coming off the lead.

James has no health concerns, never had laminitis.

Easy to clip, for blacksmith and to load.

Frongoch Cranberry - 4 years, registered section A. Superb temperament - she’s going to make the most wonderful child’s pony. Already backed and being ridden. She’s had small children, bigger children, and tiny adults on her. She has the flashiest movement I’be ever seen on a child friendly ride.

She’s been out on the main road and seen busses, vans, etc with no drama.

She pops a small jump without fuss or drama. She’s quite steady and I think she’s going to make the most safe and kind child’s pony for showing, workers, pony club.

She’s come to us on temporary livery as we have small children to ride her and show her to potential homes. At home they’re are no small children of her own.

She’s up and running so ready to go to her own child and family to put their stamp on over winter. An absolute bargain.

This is an advert we have been putting off for so long, but he is now hopelessly outgrown and needs to go and make another family happy.

He was bought 9 years ago for my then 4-year-old for M&M LR showing and he has literally been her best friend ever since.

He has had an amazing and successful show career to date; Inhand, Ridden, Championships, Supremes and has literally covered my daughters bedroom walls with rosettes, trophies and sashes from Lead Rein, First Ridden to Show Hunter Pony. He can equally be produced and home produced.

My daughter has literally learned everything on him from her up/downs, to coming off lead, to cantering, learning to jump, cross country, dressage, pony club and mounted games.

He hasn’t been showing for a few years, but I am sure he would love to go back to it, strutting his stuff in the ring like the showman he is, or equally be a little person’s best friend showing them the ropes like he has done for my daughter.

He is by Nantdywyll Telor out of Colne Tatiana and his full siblings include Colne Tulip, Colne Turbo, Colne Taboo.

Please only message if you are genuinely interested as this is an extremely hard sale for us as a family. No price kickers or video collectors.

DO YOU HAVE A HORSE OR PONY SUITABLE FOR THE RDA?

WANTED ON LONG TERM LOAN / PURCHASE

Ref #: 249896
  • If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below
  • If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below

One of the main issues that RDA groups face is finding an Equine to suit the needs of the participants in their group.

We are regularly contacted with offers of Equines that are ‘the ideal RDA horse or pony’ when actually what is ideal for one group may not be for the next. We are trying to move away from the stereotypical view that RDA Equines are elderly and somewhat static, our horses and ponies need to be fit, healthy and athletic to cope with the lifestyle in an RDA group.

They can range from smaller, forward going ponies to weight carrying cobs and can take part in a range of disciplines from Riding to Carriage Driving, Vaulting to Show Jumping and Endurance.

If you contact an RDA Group about your Equine please be prepared to fill in an Equine Initial Interest Form which will ask you many questions about your horses’ temperament, health history, experience and lifestyle. Many groups will prefer to have an equine on trial to make sure they are suitable for the job.

For long term loans and purchases they will also be required to have a Pre-Purchase Examination.

If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below.

BARRDENE ROMEO

Romeo has been an exceptional pony for us, we have owned him for 6 years and he has taken both our girls to RIHS and HOYS. He is such a lovely pony to have, the girls can do him all by themselves, he is trustworthy and would take a nervous or fyfr jockey off the lead. He has competed a handful of times as a lead rein, he was consistenly placed in the classes he did. He is a wonderful pony, beautifully bred and has lovely confirmation. he is always ridden by our youngest Penny (age 9). Snaffle mouthed.

Ronny loves X country , bold and brave to jump and steady -jumps on and off banks, ditches , in water etc.. stands while you get on , he is a true Schoolmaster.

He rides nice and light in the school and never gets strong and you can put a lot of leg on him , he just wants to please.

You can ride Ronny bare back , the kids jump on and of him all the time in the stable , such a fun cob.. jumps show jumps well and very honest.

These types of cob are hard to find , he is one in a million! Super safe !

He has been a trekking cob in Ireland and been part of a family on a farm.

He would suit a happy hacker/riding club/lead-rein/ pony club/riding school sort of homes ...

Perfect to load on lorry or a trailer and will wait patiently on the lorry.

Good to shoe/catch/bath/load-etc..

KIND, LOVING, SUPERSTAR

Topper is the calmest, considerate, gentleman who always takes care of his riders. Ridden by tiny tots both on and off the lead rein.

Tonnes of experience and unbelievably safe. Ideal for a beginner, nervous rider or a rider who wants to progress and have some fun, he is super steady, calm and gentle in every way, he is chilled but not a plod, even though he is extremely safe, he responds to the leg and has 3 excellent paces. He is kind and willing and will do anything you ask, jumps a course of small fences, logs and cross country jumps, he walks, trots and canters incorporating figures of 8, 3 and 4 loop serpentines, 20 metre circles in all paces on and off the lead rein in a slow, steady relaxed gait.

He is a fantastic all-rounder.

This is a really fantastic pony for anyone to build up their confidence, learn to ride and continue to progress on.

Definitely a 1st and 2nd pony.

He really is a true kids pony who looks after the smallest of riders, he has spent the last 2.5 years teaching children to ride, from complete beginners who have never sat on a pony up to riders who can walk, trot, canter and jump.

Children simply hold the handle on the saddle until they obtain the confidence to let go, Topper responses to the voice throughout the paces so no rein contact is required.

7yrs schoolmaster

Exceptional gelding with tonnes of experience for sale. Has spent the last 2.5yrs in the same riding school where he has been ridden by complete novice, intermediate and advanced riders. He has done all flat work lessons, privates and groups, with the same enthusiasm now as when he first started his riding school career. He is very genuine and loves to hack out, he doesn’t pull, rush, spook or get nervous of anything, he is the most loving gelding you could ever wish to meet. He is one of the favourite with our SEN children, he participates in all our RDA lessons, hacks and stable management sessions.

Absolutely no vices, when ridden, in the stable or in the field and has brilliant manners enabling the tiniest tot to handle him safely and with ease, will stand for hours with no head collar or lead rope being groomed.

He has exceptional manners and ticks so many boxes for someone looking for a very safe easy schoolmaster, with no ifs or buts.

Topper will hack out alone or in company in the heaviest of traffic without batting an eye lid. He is 100% safe, steady and collected when ridden in all paces across open fields, regardless of whether he is at the front, back or on his own, he will not rush or pull even on the way home.

This pony is simply one in a million, he is one of our main RDA ponies, where he is ridden in the paddock, across open fields and roads by riders with mild to severe learning requirements he will stand at a mounting block / hoist for hours if required, he is absolutely not phased at all by extremely loud noises, shouting and screaming, riders waving their arms and swinging their legs, even dismounting whilst he is moving, he simply stops immediately.

Snaffle mouth with absolutely no gadgets.

He is stabled during the day and out at night within a mixed herd, he equally happy to be stabled or turned out full time, he keeps himself to himself and never causes any trouble despite being out with 30 other horses.

He isn’t clingy in any way and is happy being stable and or turned out solo.

He is currently barefoot he has excellent manners with the farrier and could be shod if needed, he ties up anywhere, and loves attention.

He is excellent to catch, with the farrier and dentist.

Topper would give confidence to any rider/ handler and could easily compete at riding club level, fun/beach rides.

He can go for months without work then be tacked up and ridden without any fuss, he is extremely low maintenance, he maintains his weight all year round on grass and hay and Haylage during the winter months.

He has never been lame had laminitis, sweet-itch or sarcoids.

In the past 2.5yrs I can honestly say he has never been lame, sick or sorry, my vet can verify this, he has passed the riding school annual inspections with flying colours, this is equivalent to a stage 2 vetting.

Looking for a five star private home to give someone the opportunity to purchase a safe and very sensible pony, with so much to offer.

Topper is Truly one in a million and really can’t be missed.

Absolute heartbreaking sale but we like to change our stock around about every 2 years to give our fantastic horses and ponies the opportunity to experience a one to one home again.

We have other horses and ponies available for viewings.

  • Beautiful LR Show Hunter/M&M
  • Loves to Jump!
Boodles is a real beauty and full of character and ability. We have done a bit of everything with him! He is the perfect lead rein pony – safe, sweet-natured, and easy to handle. He is a real head-turner with his striking palomino colouring and beautiful, floaty paces, making him a standout in the show ring for show hunter classes or, if preferred, M&M. Boodles has competed in showing at many prestigious competitions always catching the judge’s eye and placing well.

Boodles also loves his jumping and has competed successfully in many showjumping leagues winning multiple sashes. We also did dressage with him and he loved every minute of the attention.

He has been ridden by four of my children from the age of 11 years down to 3 years and he loves the attention and fuss of little people. He has been to the beach many times with us and can be hacked alone or in company. He is safe and sensible in open spaces and traffic.

He would suit a beginner on the lead or a confident rider off the lead rein and would be a wonderful addition to a pony club home, showing or showjumping family.

Up to date with farrier, teeth, worming, and vaccinations. Easy to load, travel, and handle, lives in or out. This is a heartbreaking sale of a much-loved pony, so a 5 star home is a must.

Please feel free to contact me for any further pictures or videos - I have far too many!

Absolute NSEA superstar. What is there not to say about this boy. 12.1 ish 122 7 year old GELDING, Fully registered green Welsh passport. Peanut is one in a million. My daughter only turned 10 a few weeks ago but as you can see from the videos she is super tall and she is already on 14.2's, we had to skip 13.2's due to her height. We have kept Peanut as long as possible but the time has come for him to find his new home due to being completely outgrown, not on ability, just from how tall my daughter is. He will be a mega British showjumping pony as he has so much jump and I believe will go very far in this area, he is as brave a lion but very careful and I have not known him to stop at a fence. He jumps doubles, water trays etc and all spooky fillers including all the spooky jump for joy fillers and is really good. He is a pleasure to take to shows alone or in company and stands at the trailer happily munching while the other pony goes off. He won at Hartpury last night in their indoor International arena and has also qualified for the South West showjumping championships 2026. He is regularly on the school run in the trailer and stands politely and then we head off to lessons or arena hires. He has been to pony club, NSEA, British showjumping, unaffiliated shows and is always very well behaved.

Peanut has double clears stepping stones British showjumping on a ticket as not registered yet so someone can start with no money on his card, he won the SJ last night in Hartpury International Indoor Arena and was not phased with the huge atmosphere. He has attended pony club rallies both dressage and jumping, went clear XC in my daughters pony club Tetrathlon competition, jumped NSEA and qualified for Hickstead, the list goes on. He is safe in open spaces and fields and there are lots of videos uploaded on here showing how he is in all environments. He hacks alone or in company but we only have single track roads so he has never seen fast moving traffic , only traffic that slows down and we pass as its too narrow for them to speed pass.

Showing is not our thing but the judges love him and he stands beautifully too, we have done very little and he qualified for The London International first time. He competed at Three counties in the 122 Working hunter and just had the last fence down due to slipping on take off on the grass but was the highest placed 4 faulter. It was a full on county show with bikes flipping next to the arena and he carried on as normal. We did lead rein with a friends little girl (my daughter is young enough for lead rein but as you can see just way too tall) and he leads beautifully, I mean like putty and was 2nd but again this isn't our thing and we don't have the time for the showing. He looks good native or plaited. My daughter schooled him around the HOYS working hunter 122 as we couldn't wait for the class and he jumped straight round clear.

He has a huge future in whatever direction he is taken and he is so good to handle, brush, lead etc. stands for the kids to fuss, wouldn't hurt or kick them. He is bare foot but regularly trimmed. Never been sick or sorry. Loves a routine and goes out with mares and geldings.

He is a competition pony and not a pony for a rider to come out of a riding school learning their up downs etc. He has not bucked, bolted, napped etc. We would like a little rider who can canter and be balanced, having said that, when my daughter gets a wobble on him, he just sticks his head up for her. He has gears but always comes back to trot as soon as he is asked and has a lovely soft mouth and always ridden in a snaffle. He would come down the levels and happily trot around courses too.
Please watch all of the videos that are with this advert to make sure he looks the right fit for you before calling. I have millions of videos that I can send via whatsapp too.

Peaches absolutely loves jumping, she will step down for a child but also ping a meter with a light adult on she sorts her own stride out towards a fence and looks after her rider. she's been to pony club multiple times, hacks alone or within company.. super with machinary being based on a farm.

Her colour alone just makes her stupidly unique. She really has the wow factor & everyone compliments her wherever she goes.

Peaches has been to multiple arena hires, and unaffiliated shows. Enjoys c, mounted games and all the pc fun.

Happy to be out alone or within a mixed bunch. Peaches has gears if asked for, alternatively super sweet for the little ones also. She is very much a fun allrounder for an out an about pony.
